Linksys also does not warrant open source firmware, and replacing factory-installed firmware with OpenWRT firmware may void your warranty on the ***. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.The response is only partially rightWhile they are in contact with me to resolve the issue it is not faster in the back of my homeIn fact it is slower at the back of my homeThe speed is in fact not close to what the product is advertised at connected directly into the modem and hard wired to a deviceAnd as you move to the back of my home despite it's smaller size of only sqft and the claim that the each pack Velop system handles sq ftI was unable to obtain the advertised speed with two unitsI was told by Linksys to purchase an additional unitsWhich according to their claims would handle sq ftAgain I have only sq ft at my home and the system does not handle that as advertisedI hope that they are able to resolve the issues I'm experiencing but after hours on the phone and multiple people and requests of data and numerous promises to make it workI'm concerned that it will not get any better.

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Linksys response is invalidAs I have made a complaint within my year warranty and demanded to have the unit exchanged or repairedI was later called back by a product engineer to be told that there would be an update in the programming available and just to waitUnfortunately this never happenedI have the chat log of the original complaint of all the issues this router hasI will attach this to this letter to prove thisI recently contacted them back because I have waited long enough for this update and I see that the router on their website the update section and file section has everything removed for my deviceSo this proves that nothing ever was put online and proves that the product engineer who was suppose to get this fixed, never in fact fixed this issueTherefore Linksys released vof this router which is a hardware refresh in order to fix the issues and instabilities that the vwas causingI believe I have been more than patient in waiting for a fix and that I proved that there was this issue during my warranty period and demanded to have my router changed and was told to not worry an update will be shortly madeNothing ever happened now all I want is a router that is able to actually do what is said on the boxAnd that is to have a dual band router with usb hard drive capabilitiesIf this isn't available or we cannot find a router who does this I would like to discuss the options further of choosing the correct router for my needs
