I signed a contract with Long Fence and Home to replace the roof on my house on March 30, 2015. I provided a down payment via credit card ($2200) and the install was scheduled for Monday, April 27. On Wednesday, April 22, a manager from Long called me to state that they could not complete the job and were voiding the contract. He refused to elaborate and simply said a mistake was made. When I pressed him, he told me that the job was underbid and that he would get back to me with the correct price. I called him back on Friday, April 24 and left a message that I accepted the voiding of the contract and expected a refund.
As of today, Wednesday May 20, this company has not refunded my down payment. I have had to contact my bank to open a dispute.

The client's home is attached to another home and the water is coming in from the neighbor's roof and leaking through their common wall. The manufacture went out to certify that the roof was installed properly and isn't leaking and they verified that the work was done...

correctly. We also let the client know that their chimney is falling apart and needs to be remortered which could be contributing to their leaking as well. The roofing work itself was done as contracted in our agreement.

I am rejecting this response because: my complaint was not understood correctly. I was not complaining about the 3-day period for cancellation. I was complaining about the length of time it took Long Fence to return my deposit check. Their contract specifies that the deposit will be returned within 10 days. Long Fence took 12 days to return my deposit. That is the violation of their own policy.  And it is the length of time to return a check that I am asking to be changed to 3 days from the current 10 days.

I am rejecting this response because:  I have two written estimates from Long Fence for replacing the gutter system and installing a storm door for $4,000.00 and $3,200.00, respectively.  All of a sudden -- they do not replace gutters?
