Review: I had ordered a free trial product for 2 skin care items. I received those and then a month later I received another shipment totaling almost $200. I was shocked and I called to cancel. I called the postcard that came with the products. The gentleman I spoke to indicated that my account was canceled. The next month (today) I received one of the products. When I called today, the gentleman said that I had to call two different numbers. I explained that the person I spoke to last month never told me I had to call to cancel them individually. The information he gave me was the account was canceled. The gentleman that I spoke to today also told me it was not the other gentleman's responsibility to tell me or give me the other numbers. I explained the marketing card and shipping slip I received with last month's product only indicated one phone number. Today's rep told me that there are different number on each product. But the printing on them is illegible. He refused any sort of refund or return. I find this to be unethical, as I was lead to believe that my account for both products was canceled last month.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the product that was shipped and received today, 9/24/15.

Review: This company advertises 14 day Free Samples. The consumer pays the postage ONLY. But that is false. They send a bottle which they consider to be a 30 day supply. Then two weeks later they charge you for the entire product. THERE ARE NO FREE SAMPLES. I paid the postage for two different products; one was 3.95; one was 5.95. Then two weeks later I got two charges on my credit card; one for 89.77 and one for 98.71. I called the company and they offered to cancel any further mailings, but would not cancel the charges. I said, "Let me get this straight, you are charging me for my free samples?" They said "yes, that is right!" They went on to tell me that I needed to call them within two weeks. That advertising may be legal but is tricky and DISHONEST!!! I am being charged almost $200.00 for a product I do not like and cannot use on my skin!!!Desired Settlement: I want the charges of $188.48 refunded to my account! I also want the company to claify their advertising. It is a trick to get one's credit card so you can keep on adding charges to it!

Review: I received an ad on Facebook claiming that I could get free skin and eye cream and I only had to pay for the shipping. I have had the product for 1 week in my possession. The company has charged me two different amounts, 98.71 and 89.77. I called on 8-24 and spoke with Osman. He said he would give me back 50 percent if I did not report them to the Revdex.com. I told him I was going to pursue further action so he refused to give me back half my money. The paper work I received with my order does not say anything about being charged all this money. I have had the product for one week and I told him I would send it back, he said it wouldn't do any good because I ordered it on the 10th. I never agreed to these charges only for the shipping amount. Could you please help me and stop this company from scamming the consumers. I will gladly send the postcard I received.Desired Settlement: I would like the total amount refunded. 188.48 with no more charges.

Dear [redacted],Thank you for contacting us. We appreciate the opportunity to help you.During the trial period a customer has the privilege of using a product for the cost of shipping and handling. Review: This sight is very misleading as they show Dr ** endorsing the product, but in the small print it is the ingredient they say he is endorsing when in fact he did not endorse anything on this product. I went to another site and saw the exact same ad promoting another skin product. This should be illegal, it is very misleading and the attempt is to mislead people to buy the product. The product does not work in anyway and they have you try it for two weeks and there is no change. The product is not worth what they are asking for $99.71 because it doesn't work. They do not send any information in the package or email, which other companies do so if you do not print out the information when you place the order (which I didn't) you are sorry out of luck, I had to wait for the charge to get the phone number to call. This is clearly a gimmick. The customer services staff is unprofessional and love to talk while you are talking and act more like thugs than customer service. This company should not be allowed to use Dr. ** in anyway to promote their product. I am also writing to him to let him know what is being done. I asked customer service representative Joann to transfer me to a Supervisor and she transferred me to another representative. I know this because Carrie stated management will look at my complaint and I asked her for a supervisor and she told me none where available.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome is for this company to stop misleading women who are aging and looking for some hope of help for their skin. To not use Dr. ** in order to sell their product that they obviously don't stand by or they would issue refunds to unsatisfied customers rather than say once you open the box it's yours. To let others know this is a scam, the product does not work and not to waste their time or money on this horrible product. For the business to take responsibility for the lack of professionalism their customer service representatives have and to improve their processes when a customer asked for a supervisor. This is America, I can afford the product but should not have to pay for something that is unsatisfactory and I can prove did not do what it said it would do, just look at my face and you can see it does not work!! Why would a legitimate company want a customer to pay for a faulty product?

Review: This is the second time I am trying to complain about Lumareskin company. Hopefully, now that I have more information, you will be able to help me set this business straight.Initially I bought a skin product from this company at a discounted price of $4.95. Months later, they sent me the same product and charged me $89.71 to my CC. I sent them an email to cancel this auto-delivery, and told them not to charge my CC again. Two months later, they sent me the same products and charged my CC AGAIN. I tried to contact them by phone, but the number was invalid. I tried several times and on different phones with different carriers in case it was a carrier problem.I went to their website, but on their home pages, there was no contact link or available. I googled until I found the site with a contact link, and when I did, I told them again to cancel this auto-delivery and not charge me again....when I click on the submit link, the email did not go through and a message in red appeared stating that my message did not go through, no matter how many times I tried, I have screenshots of these emails available for you.I finally contacted my CC company by phone and instructed them not to accept any charges from this company.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund, but more importantly, I want this company reprimanded for its unethical practices. They make it impossible to cancel the auto-delivery by providing an invalid phone number or email address. There is no customer service link on either of their sites. I want them to stop sending me products, stop charging my CC, and I want a refund for the second charge of $89.71 that was made on my CC AFTER I had canceled this the first time.

Response:

Dear [redacted],

I purchased the trial and it didn't agree with my skin and before I could call and cancel I was charged approx $185 and they sent more. When I called to return the product for a refund they said they don't accept returned products, don't give refunds on unwanted products and I should have read the disclaimer more carefully before checking the box. Then when trying to cancel I could only cancel one product and had to call a different number to cancel the other. My cancellation are 1 digit apart so I'm sure the 2 different people I talked to were in the same office and in the same system. This company/product is nothing but rip off.

Review: Unauthorized deduction of funds from banking account. Tried to resolve by phone, but refusal by company to stop charges for free item sent and offered. In their terms and agreements later been able to read after transaction states Customers are restricted to receiving a single refund per product ordered. This is the first and last single transaction with this company. On line, several complaints have been made for the same unauthorized withdrawal of funds taken by this company. Only billing should been for 1.95 shipping, but $98.71 was automatically taken out of my checking account I will be contacting my bank, and I contacted the company. I informed the company that I was contacting the bank , and the customer service rep. stated GOOD LUCK!Desired Settlement: Resolve my refund of the full amount and take actions to prevent this company from fraudulently taking advantage of others with this type of advertising.

Also this sample was received on 08-28-15-

They state they shipped it o Aug 12

Review: I ordered a 14 day trial of a 30 day supply of Lumare Skin Serum and eye cream on July 9, 2015. I didn't receive the product until July 16, 2015. After I used it for a few days my face broke out. I went on vacation right after that and when I returned home I contacted the company's customer service to cancel my trial on July 27, 2015 and was told that my 14 days were up on July 24th. How can you have a 14 day trial begin from the day you placed the request on-line when you don't receive the product for at least another whole week? That is truly very deceptive advertising. I was told I would be charged the full amount of the product that I can't even use.Desired Settlement: I want my charge card credited with the full purchase price and to make these scam artists stop these types of offers.

Review: I ordered a trial of this company's wrinkle cream. The trial was $1.95. This morning I was charged $98.71 for a monthly subscription of this product. Shame on me! They have a cancellation policy of 14 days. They didn't mention 14 days from ordering, not 14 days from receiving, nor shipping. My complaint is for deceptive advertising and not putting the term in a prominent location; or even in the order receipt email. Here's a link to what I ordered [redacted].

Review: I placed an order for a trial of Lumare's skin serum and eye cream and I was told by "skin care side"I had 30 days for the trial then if I did not want it I needed to cancel or my account would be charged. So seeing how both products were shipped together and the packing slip says Lumare Skin Serum and Eye Cream with one 888 number and one 804 I assumed one was toll free and the other was not. Well before I knew it my account was billed $89.77. Well I called to request a refund because I had only had the product for 7 days there is no way to tell if it is going to work or not yet. I did not want to pay that kind of money for something I was not sure was even going to work. Reale then proceeded to tell me that they NEVER give refunds under any circumstances. I am yet to know of a company that does not work with an unhappy customer and give them their money back. I even offered to return the product to them and she would not accept that so what else was I to do. We work hard for our money I do not want to waste it on a product that I have no clue is even worth it. They start calculating your 15 day trial period the day you order and I only had it 7 days and BAM they took their money and she said I could ask for an extension I did with the skin serum well I sure did and I assumed since the products came together and are listed as Lumare Skin Serum and Eye Cream that gave me an extension on both. But she was just rude and said I had some kind of disconnect going on. Bottom line they took my money and should not have done that the order does not even come with paperwork stating that you have X amount of time to cancel either it just has 2 phone numbers on it and that is it. Unprofessional, rude, scam artists is exactly how to describe this non refunding company. They offerd me 35% of my money back from a company that never gives refunds. Funny huh. I said whatever because I was so mad I do not want my 35% I want 100% of my money back you don't treat customers this way.Desired Settlement: !00% REFUND

Review: Order #563090 on August 14th, 2015, I ordered the TRIAL OFFER ONLY on the Lumare Facial Serum and Eye Cream. I only had to pay the shipping which was a total of $11.90. When I placed this order there was NO small print or link to click on for "terms and conditions" at all....NO WHERE to be seen on that site. It's strange now, cause I can go to their website and it takes me to a different name brand facial serum and eye cream when I tried to "see" if I was overlooking something. On this different website at the bottom, yes it has links to click on but that WAS NOT the website I put my information in nor is it the same product as what I received!!! I always read the fine print on everything I buy! I was charged $98.71 for the facial serum and $89.77 for the eye cream and I didn't even received it until 3 days prior of getting charged! These representatives were not professional about this situation as a few of them laughed about it and said they would give me a "courtesy" partial refund. This is false advertising and rude to the customers who try to explain to them the situations! I received a partial refund on both products, $54.29 on one and $40.40 on the other, but need a FULL refund as I am on SS disability and can prove this. I can NOT afford this. I only wanted the order the trial.Desired Settlement: The rest of the refund on both products. The balance of the $98.71 is $44.42 and the balance on the $89.77 is $49.37 to be refunded back into my account.

Review: On 8/23/15 I ordered a trial sample of Lumare serum & eye cream for $5.95 each. That is the only thing I agreed to purchase, ever. Today I received a second bottle of serum which prompted me to call customer service. I was told that when I ordered the trial products I agreed to a monthly autoship which I had just received. I was also told that after 14 days of my "free trial" bottle for $5.95 I was charged full price of both the serum and eye cream, since I did not call to cancel in 14 days. I was NEVER aware of a need to cancel anything in 14 days, as I had only agreed to a trial of $5.95 for each product. I never agreed to pay nearly $100 for anything unless cancelled in 14 days. There is not an area on the website that clearly disclosed the terms and conditions. There was not an area where it asked me to agree to their terms and conditions - it is hidden at the very bottom of the website and is not disclosed during the ordering process at all. I have now been charged (in addition to the $5.95 I agreed to) $98.71 twice for serum (9/6/15 & 10/6/15) and $89.77 twice for eye cream (9/10/15 & 10/10/15) I was initially told I could not return the second auto ship bottle, but then was finally told I could return for a $9.95 restocking fee. I am sending both auto ships back and I hope to see the serum and eye cream credits soon.

I am still out the first bottle charges ($98.71 and $89.77) that I never agreed to, and they refuse to refund as I "did not cancel in 14 days"

The product doesn't even deliver on promises, it is an inferior product. Nowhere during the ordering process, nor on the email confirmation, nor on the packing slip did it say I was signing up for monthly shipments or I would have cancelled immediately. Nor did it say I would be charged full price if not cancelled. If I had known there was something to cancel I certainly would have done so. This is false advertising and a complete bait and switch scam.Desired Settlement: I would like refund for the bait and switch charges for the first bottle of serum and first bottle of eye cream. ($98.71 and $89.77) that I never agreed to, and they refuse to refund as I "did not cancel in 14 days"

I also hope to see the refunds I have been promised for the second bottle autoships that will be returned.

Review: Common "bait and switch" advertisement. There's an ad to get a facial product for $4.95.. however, in the fine print, you will pay almost $90 within 2 weeks for ongoing product.

I noticed the charge, called immediately and was told it was in the terms and conditions (which is correct) and would only be offered $45 back. I was told I had 14 days to cancel, and we are on day 13, by my posted purchase date.

I was refused the full refund. I believe this is wrong and someone should do something to shut them down, or at least get them to provide a very clear notice. People don't want to be deceived, there is no reason for it.Desired Settlement: Id like a FULL refund on my charge $89.71 which would be a balance of $44.71.

Regards,

Review: I tried the Lumare Skin trial with the serum and eye cream. When I used the products my skin itched, burned and felt extremely dried out. I saw that $89.71 was taken out of my bank account twice. I called to cancel any other orders for the future because the products didn't work for me. The rep said that even though they had not sent me my order, they were unable to send me the entire refund. I was only going to get a $45 credit on each product. I am very unhappy not receiving my full amount back of $179.42, especially since I had already paid $4.95 and $3.95 for the trial. Called customer service and talked to 3 different reps. They were very polite and listened to my complaint, put me on hold and all 3 calls "disconnected". Called again and asked to speak to a supervisor. They said a supervisor wasn't available at that time. I then asked for the company headquarters web site, or email address. Tried the web site and it said failure to connect. Called a rep again, she said we left out "try" in the web site and to re-send it again. This address failed again! I called another rep, told her my experience and she said a supervisor would call me back. She never called. Called one last time, they gave me an email address. It didn't work either. Basically I feel I was cheated out of the balance of $89.42 and customer service did nothing but mislead and lie to me. If I had bought this from any other reputable store, I could have returned these products for a full refund. Can you please resolve this as soon as possible. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I was refunded $90. Since I didn't receive any other product I feel I deserve the full refund so I am requesting an additional $89.42 which would be a full refund.

Hello Miss [redacted] ,

Total racket. Signed up for trial. Hated the product (eye and face serum). Called to cancel but kept getting packages, and being charged. After multiple calls I learned that you have to call different numbers to cancel different Lumare products and not one rep told me this. So uncool.

This is false advertising and a scam.I contacted the company after receiving the first billing for $98.71 and $89.77 charged to my card on 9/8/15. After some discussion, the woman I spoke with arranged for me to receive a partial refund of $49.35 and $44.88 on that billing and agreed to cancel all further shipments. At that time I had received one shipment and I was assured that would be the end of it. A second unexpected shipment arrived about 2 weeks later and I just found another charge for an additional $98.71 and $89.77 on my credit card charged on 10/7/15. I called again this evening and this time I spoke with a man who basically told me I was liable to pay for it even though I had cancelled the service and shipments. I've been scammed.....apparently twice.I am seeking a refund of the $98.71 and $89.77 charged to my credit card on 10/7/15 and the additional amounts of $49.36 and $ 44.89 charged on 9/8/15 that I was not refunded when I called on the prior occasion as this is a fraudulent company with fraudulent practices. Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

When I spoke with them on 10/8/15 I was speaking to them about the charge that appeared on my credit card account that was charged on 9/8/15. The person(s) I spoke with never stated that another additional charge had been made on 10/7/15. I accepted the partial refund for the charge made on 9/8/15 and chalked it up to a negative learning experience. During the time of that phone call I was unaware that an additional charge was made on 10/7/15. That was never made clear to me that a third charge had been made and I did not accept a partial refund for the third charge. I was under the impression that I had cancelled any and all subsequent shipments and charges. Additionally I never received a third shipment for which I was charged. I was charged the initial $5.99 in August for the first shipment. The company told me I am not allowed to return the product even though it remains unopened.

Regards,

Business

Review: ON 3/23 I signed up online for a free trial of their products for only the cost of the shipping fees. I looked on the website for the catch but but didnt' see the tiny link at the very bottom to the terms. I did not receive the product for about 10 days (not sure of the actual date). On 4/7 my credit card was charged but I didn't notice it until 4/11 and immediately I sent an email cancelling the shipment. I never heard anything back but my credit card was NOT credited the $179.48 in charges. I called and inquired and was told the trial was 14 days from the date of order or I would be charged for an ongoing order. They would not credit back the $179.48 since it was the cost of the free trial products I received. This is not a free trial and it is designed to trick the consumer into paying these grossly inflated prices for an inferior product.Desired Settlement: I would l[redacted] my credit refunded 100% for the $179.48. I would also l[redacted] the company investigated for deception but I know that is not the role of Revdex.com.
