accountShe has made numerous phone calls and has faxed her bank information
in over times.
Resolution: I called *** ***
and apologized for the delay and any frustration while trying to resolve this
issue. I verified the payment has been
located and applied to her account as well as fees removed. I was sorry to see this caused her to close
her account and I confirmed the balance is zero. She stated she feels the issue has been resolved. I thanked her for bringing this to our

felt concerning our efforts to collect on this past due account
In order to assist you during
this time of financial hardship, I reversed the $late charge applied to
the account on August 8, 2015, and the $late charge applied to the account
on July 8, 2015. A $late charge
was applied to the account on June 8, 2015, and a portion ($13.00) of this late
charge was previously reversed as a courtesy to you. I reversed the remaining $12.00. You will see these credits in to billing periods.
I am sorry that your account
was not previously eligible for a payment assistance program. Part of the eligibility criteria is that an
account must be open at least nine (9) months in order to be considered for one
of the programs. Since your account was
opened in January 2015, it was not previously eligible. Therefore, after September 8, 2015, please
call our Collections Department at ###-###-####, and they would be happy to
discuss your account’s eligibility for a payment assistance program. The current balance on the account is $
(balance will be less once the late charge reversals are posted to the account)
with a minimum payment of $(this includes a $past due amount) due
by the payment due date September 8,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is what I expected it would beIn my opinion, if a business provides you with an electronic method of contacting them and you choose that option, they should respond back Sometimes customers don't have the luxury of sitting on the telephone for plus minutes and sometimes they would like an answer in writingI also feel if there are exceptions to their "easy return" policy, those exceptions should be listed on the invoice that states I can return my purchase to any associate This "exception" occurred twice in one month...once with shoes (where the lines are long) and once with a $ringIf I make anymore purchases from Macy's online and have to return something I guess I'll just return by mailSeems they would want you to return in store, saves them the postage and also provides the possibility the customer would purchase a replacement item. That you for eliciting a response.

I did receive a response from Macys, and a follow up response to a questionHowever, the fact us that Macys is not issuing refunds on straight credit card purchases made on their site (not gifts, the orders were made by me, shipped to me, and returned by me)Instead they send gift cards for the refund amountThat is definitely not fair to the consumer - it means my money stays with them until I make another purchase, or if they are lucky, until I just forget about it. Dear *** ***,I tried placing my rebuttal online and botched it upI left you a voice message saying I would follow up via email with youAfter submitting my initial complaint, I was informed it could take days for a response so I continued dialogue with Macy’s to try to resolve matter.Rebuttal to Macy’s.Dear MrJ.,While waiting for a response from Macy’s, in good faith, I continued dialogue to resolve the issuesOn January 23, I called and my $fee was waivedI was asked to call back on January to confirm it’s removal and to speak to your Consumer Credit Specialist to discuss my delinquent account and restore my creditI provided my personal gmail account and received two emailsThe first email was to confirm my account was closed and the credit agencies would be notified within daysThe second email confirmed my zero balance but it also indicated that my balance may change daily resulting in more feesSince my $fee wasn’t removed until January and to resolve this issue, please confirm that Macy’s will no longer send me statements with revolving interest fees, minimum interest fees or any other fees from December 19, going forwardPlease confirm all transactions have come to a close, I’m paid in full and that I will no longer receive statements with charges.On January 26, I was also transferred to Susan ID *** - Macy’s Consumer Credit Specialist to determine if my credit would be restored with the Credit Bureau AgenciesSusan placed me on hold to review my caseHer statement follows: In September 2016, Frank *** called to request an online services account with paperless emails to FrankSusan then said, I called in October to provide my new billing addressSusan said she had to deny restoring my delinquency/ credit because they don’t normally restore unless it’s a billing issueMy response to Susan: I was unaware that my husband called and made changes to my account (note: it’s not a joint account and he’s not an authorized user)I also stated to Susan that I’m surprised Macy’s allowed my husband to make changes to my account without my approvalSusan asked me to hold again to verify my statementSusan confirmed that my statement was accurate and that Macy’s did not get my approvalShe continued to say that was in violation of Macy’s own policy and because of that she said it is now a legitimate banking errorSusan informed me that her secondary team would make corrections internally and that I would receive a letter regarding this in to days to my home addressShe said all credit bureaus will be notified of the legitimate banking error resulting in restoring my credit.MrJ., I have denied all along that I never requested online billing services or emails but was never provided detailsThe response I received from you was the same generic response I received from othersIt wasn’t until I spoke with Susan to get direct answers and a detailed reportUntil your response to Revdex.com was I aware that you tried sending emails to my husbands work emailI’m happy to say his company likely pushed them through to spam and that my account information wasn’t jeopardized.Due to Susan’s findings, I’m looking forward to receiving confirmation from you that you are in agreement with Susan and that the secondary team is making corrections internally, the Credit bureaus are being notified of the legitimate banking error restoring my credit and a confirmation letter will arrive to my home to days from January communications.One final note: On December 19, I informed Macys not to send any documents or statements onlineI requested all be sent to my home addressAs of January 26, I provided my personal gmail addressI received an email on January to my personal gmail account stating that there is a letter waiting for me that contains information that could impact my accountIt wants me to login to an online accountI do not have access to that online accountI’m assuming it’s the one my husband set up without my approvalThat account should be shut down immediatelyPlease email to my gmail address and mail to my home address.Thank you.***

King’s Plaza Macy’s on December 22, 2012, and I apologize. Please be assured that the service you
described receiving from our staff is not typical of the level of quality
customer service that we strive to provide, and we appreciate your bringing the
situation to our attention. We expect
all customers to be treated with the highest level of courtesy and
professionalism possible and are disappointed when that does not happen. After reading your complaint, I can certainly
understand your frustration with the events that occurred
Upon
review of this situation with the Store Manager, I was assured that the failure
to follow the appropriate procedure with merchandise left in the store by
customers has been reviewed with the personnel involved. Since we are unable to refund the $cost

merchandise at any of our stores
