Mad City Windows & Baths Reviews (%countItem)

Thank you Mad City for putting in my new windows I love them they are perfect for my house nothing but good work and in a timely fashion.

The sale representative showed product the company offered and he also filled out the paper work that I signed. When the product arrived it was nothing I was shown in the sales person presentation. The product I received was nothing we talked about nor did he once show these items that were put in my home. I called the company to discuss what was put in my home and they said I signed the paper work and that's what I purchased. I'm upset because this was not the items I was shown. Nor did I fill out the paper work. I was totally mislead.

Attached is a copy of the contract, signed by our client on 5/2/18. We installed everything on the contract into our clients home as specified on the contract. It is our company policy that the client be home for the installation. At no point during the majority of the installation did our client try to stop the install or mention. That what was being put in was not what she thought she was receiving. Once we were installing the final accessories. Was when our client stated that the walls that were already installed. Are not what she thought she was receiving. Our field manager contacted her to review the contract that she signed. Upon review what we installed is what our client purchased and signed for.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offtotalviewed appear below. I stop the contractor and informed him that wasn't the product I picked out the contractor called someone over at Mad City. While I was on the phone with the field manager the contractor continual working. The contractor said that he was going to put my bathroom back in working order he was not going to leave it undone. The sale person filled out the contract as I pointed out the produced out of the company's magazine. Yes I was under the impression that I was purchasing what I was looking at in the magazine not once did the sales rep say you would receive something simular. The sale person filled out the contract. He showed me a totall different product

We were not informed of the client trying to stop the installation and this was not mentioned in the first complaint. Mad City has stated it's position. The client signed off on the project. Plus the contract has to account for something when a customer signs an agreement. We are willing to replace the walls for an additional cost to the client.

Replaced windows in our farmhouse. The windows are very sturdy and stylish..Great pricing and service.

MIXED REVIEW on shower install:
Positives: - shower is easy to clean;
- good rain-head shower
Negatives: - installers arrived late (after 10am) and left early (4pm) making a one day install into 2 days
- floor of shower creaks
- shower door fasteners are not matching ( one nail is used instead of all screws)
- chalking was sloppy with white on white - we had to clean it off
- Shower door is hung crooked
- frame (at hinges) leaks water while showering onto bathroom floor
- Shower faucet handle is loose
- Project manager would not accept our initial complaint (re: chalking) so we didn’t follow up on other fixes...

Our new front window is great! They matched our wood trim well and we are much more energy efficient. They do give a hard sell

Had a great experience with Mad City replacing our walk in shower in the master bath. Our previous shower had a leaking issue. Although expensive, we feel that the product, the workmanship and finished shower are absolutely worth it. It's very easy to keep clean. It always looks clean and is beautiful. We love it!

we remodeled a tub shower into one of Mad City's showers and we love it. Installation staff and the product itself are excellent. out with the old and in with the new in just one day. Well worth it!!

MISLEADING SALESMAN!!! I was told they were going to gut the walls around our windows to get out any rot or hazardous materials and reframe the windows... because I own an older home there may dangerous materials behind the walls, so the installation crew would have to wear a suit. Never happened, instead they took the old windows out, used the old frames and installed SMALLER windows. They are smaller so there was a gap between the old frame and the new window, a raw wood trim piece had to be installed, they left it raw couldnt paint it or use prepainted wood for white windows. Im not sure how the dinning room window was smaller, a man came just to measure so they could make "cusom windows" We were also told they were going to take before and after thermal pics.. never happened. The windows are not bad hard to lock because the other side move(horizontal windows) screens do not lock so anyone or my dog could slide my screens over(window seat in dinning room). Way overpriced for what I got!

I had Mad City install a slider door and a picture window for our house. We are so pleased with both the products and the customer service. They can’t be beat!

I contracted with Mad City to remove my bathtub, put in new surrounds and a New Shower door. In the contract it specifically states a frameless door with clear glass. When they finished the remodel they informed me that the frameless shower door would not fit as the wall was not straight. so a different one was installed. I asked why the wall wad not plum and was told it was the guy who tore out the wall and rebuilt the wall was at fault. I had talked to this man when he arrived on the first day and he said he really was a counter top installer. The time frame they requested was for a day and maybe hale of the next day, In reality it took four days and 10 different people. I really do not feel it was may fault the wall was not straight, as it should have been put in straight when they tore down the old one. I have the frameless door on my enclosed front pouch and it has been there since April 12.
My assumption was the would be back to fix the problem and put the correct door on. I am still waiting!

My field manager has an appointment to meet with the client tomorrow. ( 5/22/18) We will discuss the next steps with the client to resolve her issues.

I had requested an itemized receipt for my purchase of windows from Mad City Roofing. My first two requests were never completed and my third was. I received, by email, a breakdown of just the materials and labor. I confirmed that labor meant installation. My contract stated free installation but the breakdown stated that I was charged $5054.00. When I replied back, the employee told me that they use an estimated 20 percent on average to figure labor costs. I told the employee that I did not accept their response and that I wanted the $5054 credited to my purchase price. I was forwarded to the operations manager in Green Bay and he said there was nothing he could do to rectify the situation. He just said that the original girl who finally helped us after 3 attempts made a mistake.

Tell us why here...
To Whom It May Concern,

There was some confusion here with this and I can clarify this. Our receptionist Kristine attempted to get involved in this without consulting upper management. First the labor amount that was emailed in this case was incorrect. She used an average % amount that related to tax credits without looking up the actual cost of labor. The actual cost of labor was $1375.00 on this job not $5054.00

However as it relates to the overall price of the job this is not how the labor discount works. Obviously the workers still get paid for the job. They are not working for free. Therefore the labor amount is DISCOUNTED from the job on the night of the sale which was done in this case. The labor promotion is applied to the overall project not rebated back after the fact.

The homeowners will recall on night of the sale our everyday retail price was $32,399 and the final discounted price of the job was $25,270.00

In addition to all of the above the contract states All discounts and promotions applied including Free Installation.

So in conclusion when Kristine provided the breakout she was under the impression that this was in relation to tax credits not in relation to discounting or promotions.

Regards

The original price that the salesman gave us was the first offer he showed us which was already including the discounts. It wasn't until after we said it was too much that he reduced the price to 25,270, so that did not reflect my discount of free installation. Yes, I signed the contract but was also under the impression that I was in fact receiving free installation. I called three times to get an itemized receipt to make sure I was in fact receiving free installation. How do I as a consumer know that I received all discounts and free installation if there is no receipt to look at. I find it unacceptable that once I receive something in writing, it is wrong because Mad City made an assumption of my labor costs without actually looking at my contract and order. That is not my fault and I find it quite sketchy that Mad City can give estimates to the consumers to claim on their taxes when part of their advertising is saving 60% or more off of installation.

The discount that was applied on the night of the sale was the free installation pure and simple. This isn't complex. In fact the discount applied was actually greater than the amount of the labor on the job, much greater. This is simply an attempt to get something for nothing. No further discounts or rebates will be applied to this job.

How can Mad City Windows say that I am trying to get something for nothing? I have no problem paying the $20,216 that I received in writing for the materials (windows). All I ever wanted was a breakdown of the cost of the windows, or as I was calling it, an itemized receipt. Once I finally received something, it showed that I paid labor.

I wanted the itemized receipt so I can see what I paid for. I know the grid, wood grain inside, and colored trim outside were extra; but how much extra? I wanted to know how much extra because we are considering doing our downstairs windows. I wanted to be able to compare the prices of their competition without going through another 2 hour demonstration.

I simply wanted to know how much each window costs.

Once I finally received something, in writing, it said I paid labor. When I signed the contract the advertised special was 60% off installation but our salesman said he would give us free installation. How do I as a consumer know that I received something for free if I can't see what the cost of the materials and labor originally was, without seeing an itemized receipt?

Mad City installed a new bath tub and shower stall. The entire process was very professional and the installer did a great job! They were on time for appointments and called when they said they would call to schedule and confirm appointments.

We had Mad city Windows and bath put in a new shower. Absolutely love it. The guys were very professional and worked quickly. I would highly recommend them.

I want to share a positive experience with Mad City Windows

Salesman was very informative and low pressure.
Price was reasonable.
Installation team was timely, friendly and very professional. They cleaned up after themselves.
Windows match beautifully!

I had a salesman out to give me estimate of 17 windows $63,000 WOW I almost feel off my chair Then he noticed others estimates on the table and he said " you must have a lot of time on your hands" I said " as a matter of fact I don't, PLEASE LEAVE" Very rude and unprofessional
Would never recommend- Waterford, WI

Installers were on time, courteous, and neat. We are happy with our new shower!

WARNING!!!! THIS COMPANY IS COMPLETELY UNRELIABLE!!!. They never showed up for our appointment. No calls to let us know they wouldn’t be coming. When I called the office 40 minutes after the appointment time they gave me the excuse that they are just busy with calls. They requested multiple times that both of us are home during this appointment...... thanks for wasting our night!!! unbelievable.. If you couldn't show up for an appointment, why would they ever show up /do your home repair in a reasonable amount of time. This company does not believe your time is valuable. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!

The Mad City salesperson was honest, everything was in writing and job was completed as promised.

Mad City did a great job with the whole process. They were very professional and quick to respond with any questions. They Installed the tub in a day and were very courteous while there. They made sure the job got done well and even followed up to make sure that we were completely satisfied with the job. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new bathroom.
