Very habby with my tub to shower conversion. Nice modern update to my home. From the salesman to workers totally satisfied.

Love my new windows! The crew was on time and efficient. When they were done all was neat and the evidence of all their hard work was gone

Mad City installed a new walk-in shower for us. They did a great job, professional, timely, and treated our family very respectfully.

We had our whole house done in one day. The windows are great. Our salesperson was very knowledgeable and informative. That deserves a 5 star rating. Installation crew is another story. They did a poor job cleaning up. We found screws laying around. There was broken glass left in our driveway and pieces of trim left in the backyard. They also ripped the back of our leather sofa and didn't bother to tell us. We found out when we were moving everything back. The installation itself was done right.

Salesman from Mad City came to sell us a new tub, shower and surround. We only wanted surround to go a certain height up, so measured how high to go. The bathtub we wanted was "discontinued" so we had to order a different bathtub. So we had to pick a second tub, not explaining that the tub was curved in front and smaller dimensions. We were also told there would be copper tubing. Had also said for glass style on shower doors rain or obscure, but salesman said you have a nice new tub you'll want to show it off. Did we want grab bars but never told the sizes. Remodel day came July 2-the two guys built out the walls which is not checked on our contract. When the surround was put in it was all the way to ceiling. I said it was not suppose to be and they said that's not what your contract says. But on our contract "walls go to ceiling" is not checked. On the left back wall the surround is at least 1/2 inch lower and was filled with chaulk to fill in. We wait 24 hours to take a shower and when we do water is spraying out of back of shower head and faucet. Water is running into the basement. Two other Mad City people come that were in the area to try and fix. They said there was never a water test done. Faucet is faulty. On July 6 I called owner and told him what was going on. Hannah called to say plumbers were coming over. They couldn't fix. Hannah called to ask why we didn't let them cut access panel. We are now on our 3rd bathtub faucet. Said we wanted to talk to bath manager. July 15 the bathroom manager comes and said you said everything was okay. Tell him our complaints and he says "thats not what your contract says". And it all depends on the package you got. We were not told by the salesman about any packages. 7/16 talked to Hannah and told her "build wall" was not checked. She said they must of did it to cover tile. That was not marked on our contract. The remodel guy also said he had to pull the left corner of tub out to cover floor tile he had broke off.

Mad City Windows & Baths Response • Jul 27, 2018

We are aware of the Customers concerns and we have been in constant contact with them to get this resolved. In cases where a leak is found after the walls are installed in the bath we would normally cut an access panel to address the leak to the walls would not have to be removed. After discussions with the Customer we have come to an agreement to remove the existing walls that we installed, fix the leak and then install the new wall system. We are at the step now that material for the walls is on order and when that material comes in (eta 2 weeks) we will setup a date that works to get the leak fixed and the walls replaced.

Mad City has a scheduled appointment today 9-14-18 with the customer and our field manager *** to replace the defective tub spout and address any other concerns the customer may have.

*** And

Mad City redid our bathroom to convert a shower/tub combo to a walkin shower. We should have solicited more bids before making our final selections. Overall we are pleased with our choices but would have liked to see what our end result would have looked like. They did not have the technology to show us that. We also could not find any pictures of the wall covering to use to pick paint colors from. We could not get a accurate color with our cell phone because of the flash, colors were distorted.
The work was completed on a timely basis, eventhough there was a miscalculation on one of the support board which lead to several hour delay. The workmen were friendly and cleand up very well when work was completed.
The material does not seem that state of the art to warrant the price we paid, but that is on us for not getting more bids.

My complaint contains two problems.
1. We are dissatisfied with the patio door that Mad City placed in our home. We were given an insert door instead of a replacement door. I was not made aware that we would be going from a flat transition to now a 2 3/4 lip from inside the home to the top of the threshold door. The other way surface to surface is about 7" from step to top of threshold is 9.5". Which as people and our 13 year old dog get there foot tripped up. My concern is someone tripping and hurting themselves because I have this door. If I would have known I wouldn't have chosen that door or to have them replace it.
The second problem I have with the door is that it is Impossible to clean. I am not able to get the debris out of the door track and am concerned about allergens and mold due to inability to properly clean. Also with this increase in step people are now standing on top of the threshold to step down to step.Which adds to my inability to clean.
2. I have concerns about my front slider window. There is a stationery window and a slider on each side.I have concerns in that they lock in different directions one slider moving the locks to point down is locked and the other one is locked in an up position. Confusing if there would ever be a fire. My other concern is that when you slide the window over to open it the slider passes over the stationery piece making a "clunk" as they almost push against the window. It also doesn't stop. This also was not brought to our attention prior to installation.

Mad City Windows & Baths Response • Jul 24, 2018

Per our lifetime service agreement we will reach out to the customer once again to verify the clunking of the windows is not stemming from any issues with the installation. The windows are all equipped with an interlock system that seals the sections together as the window is closed. The closing process will be accompanied by a blunt noise as the window sashes come together. When opening one side of the window the customer should make sure to take care not to push one window sash completely past the other as the window is not made to function this way if that would be where the noise is coming from. Per the locks operating in different directions, this is a common standard throughout the window industry. Per the cleaning needs of the door sill, all materials be it windows, doors, flooring and so on all need regular cleaning and basic maintenance. The customer has multiple contacts for our company and is aware they can reach out to us any time they would like for service or recommendations on cleaning and care practices.

Per the other concerns and requests within the complaint, we have reviewed the content filed by the homeowner. Simply stated, Mad City has performed to the terms of the parties’ contract. The products that were promised in the contract have been provided and they were installed pursuant to the terms of the contract and the standard in the industry. Solely for the sake of trying to satisfy the customer, Mad City has made numerous offers that extend well beyond the terms of the contract. All have been rejected by the homeowner. As such, no further offers or actions will be forthcoming

Mad City denies any wrongdoing in this situation. As such, no resolution to any concerns offered by the homeowner are forthcoming. Mad City has fully performed its contractual obligations.

Customer Response • Jul 31, 2018

I'm sorry my response didn't connect to the email so I wanted to respond.I am not disputing the contract by means that yes they installed the items we discussed. We are disputing our lack of satisfaction with the product. My husband reached out to the project manager to let him know we were not satisfied with the patio door. While the crew was still here and before we signed the contract. We also were not made aware that this patio door would be an INSERT door. We have had a second opinion and we were told we can get a replacement door that would not cause people to trip and that I would be able to clean. There were 3 resolutions offered not numerous options. We would at least like the patio door to be replaced properly which is @ ($3600).As far as our slider window this hasn't been discussed. We would like the window to stop "thunking" when you open it and for fire safety reasons I would like my locks to lock in the same direction. If I had been informed of the products at time of sales pitch I would have declined as this is not what I want to settle for.

Mad City Windows & Baths Response • Jul 31, 2018

As stated in the previous response, Mad City will continue to service all product purchased by the customer per our contract. Per the concerns with the patio door sill height, the patio door style and sill height has become the norm within the replacement industry. Mad City has offered multiple resolutions to the customers concern with the patio door after the point of install and all were rejected. These resolutions were offered for the sake of customer satisfaction and not out of obligation. Considering all resolutions were rejected, Mad City is not offering any further negotiation for the patio door. All product that was listed on contract has been installed and was signed off on a completion form by the customer.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have

determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
As I keep stating I was not made aware of the sill height and it is not the norm. Your offers do not solve the problem and all buyers should be aware. Mad City does not work with their customers. Be aware that you will trip Hopefully your pets and your cgildren don't break there legs or worse fall and hit their face. Also good luck cleaning it it is Impossible to clean. So dog hair, dirt and mold are bound to appear.

Bought new windows for the house I got last year. They were very professional, on time and fast when doing the installation. I high recommend them. I love my new windows!

We recently had two windows installed in our home. This was our first time hiring anyone to do a home improvement project, as we are normally DIY-ers. I was initially turned off by the pushy sales people at Wal-Mart, but we decided to go ahead with the in-home estimate anyway.
The salesman who came out to our house was extremely polite and knowledgeable, not pushy at all. He gave us helpful product recommendations and we decided to replace two of our old windows with triple pane ones from Mad City. We had a follow-up visit with a man who came and measured our windows to make sure everything was correct before they were ordered and custom made. The man who installed the windows was very nice and thourough, making sure to clean up everything and answer any questions we had. We are very happy with our experience, and planning to replace more windows little by little.

Mad City removed my old patio door and replaced it with a new one. It is a basic door that meets my needs. Although the sales person was a bit intense, the removal and installation of the patio door went smoothly. They didn't break anything and they cleaned up before they left. I have a brand new patio door that I like.

We could not be happier with our windows. I advise anyone to go through Mad City. Our consultant, Joe Bartels, was on call for us and answered any of our questions. Awesome guy!

Great experience, very helpful in deciding types of windows to install, awesome pricing!

Mad City did our bath tub and tiles. I am so pleased with our big 19 inch soaking tub and all the hard work they did. They were kind and kept the construction down to being family friendly as well. I am so glad you had Mad City to help!

I have received 4-6 calls in an 8 hour period multiple days in a row. I have asked to be put on the do not call list three times and continue to receive calls almost hourly from the same lady, ***, asking to set up an appointment to give a quote. I have asked to speak to a manager all three times I asked to be put on the do not call list and have been denied each time. When I have asked why I am still receiving calls she says because thats her job. Each time I am told my file will be updated and will no longer receive calls but within the hour she is calling again. This is not business practice. This is harassment and despite my voicemails to the owner the issue continues to be unresolved.

We apologize for this and will remove from our callback list

Mad City Windows are fast, efficient, and cost effective! We are extremely pleased with the renovations they did to our windows and bathrooms in our apartment units. I highly recommend them to perform any of your renovation or upgrade needs!

Husband and I recently purchased windows from mad city windows. The experience was very professional from start to finish. Once I called and expressed my interest in having someone come show me the product I had an appointment within the week. When the salesman showed up he was awesome. He was very knowledgeable and courteous and not pushy. The product is amazing and you can see that right away in the presentation. The installation went quite quickly too. Our house is very old and nothing is straight So construction has never been an easy thing on our house. They did a fabulous job and cleaned up well after themselves. We highly recommend midcity windows to anyone upgrading or building a new home. As they say you get what you pay for and that is true in this case. They even have a lifetime warranty not only for the original buyers before the next owners of the house as well. Who does that???

We highly recommend Mad City Windows and Baths. They installed a new window, tub, shower, and surround for us in our main bathroom. At every step in the process Mad City kept us informed and updated on their progress. All of their staff were courteous and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions and addressed any issues promptly. The final product is exactly as they promised, and we couldn’t be happier! Our bathroom looks great and the finishes are highly professional.

Mad City Bath removed our old tub and replaced with a walk in shower. They did an awesome job. The installers were very knowledgeable.

We had an excellent experience with Mad City Windows on our new window install in March 2018. The salesman was professional, answered all our questions and had an actual window to demonstrate the construction of the product being sold. The installers were on time and were very knowledgeable. The windows have already benefited us by keeping our house 10 to 15 degrees cooler on the 80/90 degree days this summer which is great because we do not have central air. Would definitely recommend Mad City Windows for window replacement.

It was a job well done. The installers were great to work with and cleaned everything up. My luxury bath was done in less than a day and it is amazing.
