We love our new soaking tub, We were able to get a beautiful shower install and tub in a very small space. Excellent workmanship. Staff were very professional. High quality materials were used.
Put 12 windows in and it went great, good price great window. Thanks m-c.
Mad City windows are transparent, but their billing process is not.
We ordered 5 windows from Mad City under a special promotion that was supposed to discount the cost of labor. The windows were installed and paid for. I requested an itemized bill, but I was told that one would not be provided—not even a cost per window. Did we get a fair deal? I could not tell you.
In addition, I thought we were getting custom windows measured to fit the space. The windows were installed with raw (unfinished) wood filler pieces. Again, it was not pointed out in advance that we would need to stain the wood to match our sills.
There are many choices. Ask questions and request a detailed estimate in advance. I wish we had.
I liked the process for the most part. Installation was easy, staff was professional and friendly. My only complaint was the sales pitch. I get that it's effective, but it's annoying how high pressure it is, and it can be difficult if you're not comfortable saying "no." Be sure to get other quotes first or do your research so you have a good point of reference.
You'll probably ending paying more with these guys than other vendors, but the service quality is great, and the 30 year transferable warranty is pretty sick too. Overall, I would recommend.
We had 2 showers done and are happy with them. We feel the quality is good and cleaning is a breeze. We recommend them.
Sales person was very informative and courteous. Products offered were of great quality, and style.
This is our second contract with Mad City, and we have not been disappointed with the company. Oh yes and the installation crews have been great, very satisfied both the install and cleanup after the install.
After scheduling our shower installation, we were called less than 24 hours before the scheduled install and were told that they did not have a part in stock that was needed. When we explained how inconvenient this was with both my wife and I working and needing to move around our work schedules, we were told how we should be grateful that the installation was being rescheduled instead of discovering mid install that we would need to wait for the remaining part.
Very poor customer service. High pressure sales tactics during the initial consultation where we were lied to just to get the sale. Took way too much badgering on our part to simply get a (re)scheduled install date. And when we were finally able to get a date set, it was implied that we wouldn't be getting their "best" team!
When it came time to install the shower, they talked down to my wife and left a huge mess. We signed off on the "work site cleanliness" due to how late in the evening it was and our need to get our toddler to bed. We're still cleaning caulk off our ceiling and finding razor sharp metal shards throughout our house, and our driveway still needs repair.
Throughout the entirety of the project we let our concerns and frustrations known, yet there was no ownership on Mad City's part that they messed up, nor was there any effort to make things right by way of a discount.
After the installation, we already have had two service calls due to a faulty showerhead and the caulk not being applied properly.
Our rating here is being generous. Anyone would be wise to take their business elsewhere.
Mad-City installed a tub/shower combo for me. Finished project looks amazing and was completed in one day. Customer Service was great and loved Scott - the installer. He was very polite, professional, and cleaned everything up. I am completely satisfied with my finished project and would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a new tub/shower. Mad-City also has great customer follow-up to make sure that everything is completely satisfactory. Loved everything from start to finish. Thank you and great job!
MadCity worked around my schedule from the initial consultation to the install. I was given every option from doing all my windows to just one. This allowed me to make the decision on what I wanted to spend. There was never any pressure to buy more or higher cost windows. I will definitely use them again next time.
We had a great experience working with Mad City for our new bathroom! The product is great, much less "plastic" in appearance than the competitors on the market. After installation, we noticed a defect/stain in one of the new walls, Mad City responded right away to our concerns and came out to replace the piece and make it right!
Had a new walk in shower with safety bars, shelves corner seat and a shower rain head. The husband and wife team were very professional and personable and explained as they installed what they where doing . The cleanup after was great .It only took a day.
We had all of our windows replaced by Mad City Windows. This is my review of the process.
Salesman visit.
It is a high pressure sales pitch with “gadgets” to show the performance of the window. I didn’t like that my wife and myself needed to be there for the sales pitch. But the want both there to sign right there and now. Said things like offer only good today, end of year closeout, called manager to get the best price, etc. My advice, get other quotes before you call them so you can compare. I had other quotes and decided for the quality of the window they offer, I negotiated a fair deal. Windows were ordered end of Dec 2017.
Install.
The install experience was ok. I waited until April for the install. I wasn’t in any hurry. No matter how many times the salesman tells you the installers are employees of Mad City, they are not, at least the crew that installed mine weren’t. They showed up with the windows, laid down some plastic and got to it. They were at my house for 3 days after being told 1.5 at the most. I had a lot of windows and some big windows. They replaced the windows and the exterior trim. They were able to save the interior jamb extensions and trim. Please note, if they need to replace any trim it is up to you to stain and seal it. I have two large bow windows with an oak finish I needed to stain. They had to break the glass on my large window with an arched to get it out. They put plastic down to catch the glass, but I still find some in the yard. With the bow windows, they stick out much (8”) more than the old ones. The roof line did not match the existing, and they wanted to leave it that way. I talked to the site supervisor, who is a Mad City Window employee, and had to convince him to redo the roof, and he finally agreed. The roof repair was another 3 days. It might sound like I’m complaining, but I am very satisfied with the products and the install.
Warranty.
The salesman said it was the best warranty in the industry, and it might be, When summer rolled around, some windows closed hard. I easily submitted a claim online, and was called the next day to schedule an adjustment. Also, one of the windows had a scratch in it, it was replaced no questions asked. Just recently, one of the windows developed a crack. Again, submitted an online claim with a pic of the crack and was called the next day to tell me they ordered the window and will schedule the install when it comes in. Two weeks later in came in and they replaced it, again no questions asked.
If I did it over again, I would probably still go with Mad City Windows, but they are pricey.
Great and quick service!!!
Very pleased with our service from Mad City. From day one, we were worked with based on what we were looking to pay and they also helped us get to a rate we could afford as well. The install taking one day was amazing as well. Never would I have thought that I was going to be able to pay what I am for everything we got from them. Would definitely bring back for another service in the future!
I had my bathtub removed and converted to a shower by Madcity. I was satisfied with the work they did. They arrived when they said they would and finished on time. They cleaned up after themselves and it looks great. I love taking a shower without having to climb into the tub and can just walk in.
From beginning to complete, everything went very smooth! I had 6 windows installed and they look awesome! I can really tell the difference in the temperature in my home and NO MORE UGLY PLASTIC on my windows!! Every person I communicated with at Mad City, from the phone to in my home were super pleasant and polite! I especially loved that the crew paid special attention to keeping the inside floors and around my house free and clear of dirt and debris. Thank you so much Mad City! I shall return for my next project!
Was pressured to make window purchase. Felt forced, salesman basically wouldn't leave until we signed. Was shown a window and promised the same type, yet the windows are completely different. Our family has been sick now all the time since we got the new windows. Nothing is the same, screens do nothing, gaps in actual windows. They took advantage of a young family and now won't fix it. Plan on filing a court case.
Mad City currently has a service appointment scheduled with the customer. Per our call records and notes in our electronic system the customer filed a service claim on 7-20 at 10:09 am, our service manager called the customer on 7-20 at 10:23 am but the voicemail was full, our service manager noted on 7-23 at 10:33 am that we had received a voicemail from the customer over the weekend and a return call was made with a voicemail left. Further records show that on 7-24 at 10:09 am a service ticket was created for a follow up appointment on 8-8 at 12:30 pm with the customer to look over the product that was installed to determine what problems there may be with the initial install that are related to bugs getting in through the screens, possible air infiltration and any other concerns. The ticket notes what materials to bring with to take care of any issues right away if possible. Mad City has provided this customer with our double life time warranty that all customers receive. To reiterate, when the customer filed this current service ticket we responded right away with a return call. Per the customers claim that the window sample shown was not the same line of window installed, Mad City only sells and installs one line of high quality windows as to avoid confusion between different products shown and different quality levels.

They replaced my old 1970’s tub with a great walk in shower! Love the rain shower head!
Salesman from Mad City came to sell us a new tub, shower and surround. We only wanted surround to go a certain height up, so measured how high to go. The bathtub we wanted was "discontinued" so we had to order a different bathtub. So we had to pick a second tub, not explaining that the tub was curved in front and smaller dimensions. We were also told there would be copper tubing. Had also said for glass style on shower doors rain or obscure, but salesman said you have a nice new tub you'll want to show it off. Did we want grab bars but never told the sizes. Remodel day came July 2-the two guys built out the walls which is not checked on our contract. When the surround was put in it was all the way to ceiling. I said it was not suppose to be and they said that's not what your contract says. But on our contract "walls go to ceiling" is not checked. On the left back wall the surround is at least 1/2 inch lower and was filled with chaulk to fill in. We wait 24 hours to take a shower and when we do water is spraying out of back of shower head and faucet. Water is running into the basement. Two other Mad City people come that were in the area to try and fix. They said there was never a water test done. Faucet is faulty. On July 6 I called owner and told him what was going on. Hannah called to say plumbers were coming over. They couldn't fix. Hannah called to ask why we didn't let them cut access panel. We are now on our 3rd bathtub faucet. Said we wanted to talk to bath manager. July 15 the bathroom manager comes and said you said everything was okay. Tell him our complaints and he says "thats not what your contract says". And it all depends on the package you got. We were not told by the salesman about any packages. 7/16 talked to Hannah and told her "build wall" was not checked. She said they must of did it to cover tile. That was not marked on our contract. The remodel guy also said he had to pull the left corner of tub out to cover floor tile he had broke off.
We are aware of the Customers concerns and we have been in constant contact with them to get this resolved. In cases where a leak is found after the walls are installed in the bath we would normally cut an access panel to address the leak to the walls would not have to be removed. After discussions with the Customer we have come to an agreement to remove the existing walls that we installed, fix the leak and then install the new wall system. We are at the step now that material for the walls is on order and when that material comes in (eta 2 weeks) we will setup a date that works to get the leak fixed and the walls replaced.
Mad City has a scheduled appointment today 9-14-18 with the customer and our field manager *** to replace the defective tub spout and address any other concerns the customer may have.

We had our whole house done in one day. The windows are great. Our salesperson was very knowledgeable and informative. That deserves a 5 star rating. Installation crew is another story. They did a poor job cleaning up. We found screws laying around. There was broken glass left in our driveway and pieces of trim left in the backyard. They also ripped the back of our leather sofa and didn't bother to tell us. We found out when we were moving everything back. The installation itself was done right.
