Salesman was low pressure. Price was reasonable and quote for the window to be replaced was very quick and the window was ready before quoted time. New window looks great!

I have recently had a bathtub removed and a shower unit installed. The installation crew was excellent and very helpful in facilitating on the spot change orders to improve the installation in appearance and functionality of the shower. I would however strongly encourage everyone to check with local competition for price comparison and material comparability . It seems to me Mad City is on the high side, hence taking the extra time for price comparison could save you significantly.

We did our bath with Mad City. After getting through the salesman meeting which was daunting, the work began. 1 contractor worked solo all day long but got the bath in the same day. He took his time and did it right down to the little details. So far we are very pleased with hos work and pleased with our bath.

The team did a great job. The men were very courteous. Helped me make decisions where to put the bars. So far we are satisfied.

says they took out rotted wood I watched them and they didnt

The job they did looks great, crew was professional!

Mad City did a beautiful job on our windows. They made us feel confident in our purchase with their lifetime warranty and their thorough presentation of their top-of-the-line product.

We went to the Milwaukee area Home Improvement show a few weeks ago specifically looking for bath remodel and window replacements. We were approached by a gentlemen from Mad-City. Their display showed both bath and window work. He was nice enough and asked us if they could come and give a bid once we explained the work we wanted. He then asked us information on a form. Name, address, phone etc. He could NOT get past the fact that my husband I had different last names and probed financial questions to ensure we were legally bound to the house that the work would take place. He also never looked at me only my husband. And then spelled my name Jerry, the male version of my name. My husband was probably more bothered by that than I was but it was annoying.

We chalked that up to "oh that is just a good ol boy just trying to do his job and got stuck on show duty".

We scheduled a time to come and do an estimate. They called a few days ahead to confirm. I said it's fine . AND THEN.. they asked if my Husband would be there and I said no, he is out of town. They said well then we cannot come, we want him there. I asked why and they said it was their policy. I asked "is it your policy if the wife is not there?" no answer.

I explained to the customer service appointment person that since the beginning there have been some fairly overt sexist behaviors and until now just put it off as that one guy at the show. THIS IS COMPANY deep. She said. "Oh ok, we wont come" and hung up. They have zero respect for women and likely gay couples, single woman owners, etc.

After reading reviews on this forum I am so glad we did not let them in our house. Which by the way I do more renovations and repairs than my husband but he is an awesome Chef!

And Revdex.com how can you give them an A+ rating when you have so many complaints?

To Whom It May Concern,

First of all we apologize for the way in which the communication process took place in this case; we deal with thousands of customers per month that inquire about estimates and never have this type of thing happen so we are going to trace back to whom this conversation took place and reprimand that employee.

With that being said we do strive to meet with all homeowners of a property and all decision makers. This is a recommended business practice throughout the industry by several organizations. There are several reasons for this; within our product lines there are several styles and colors, grades of quality, warranties and financing options. In order to give a proposal we need input from all homeowners. We have found in cases in which only one homeowner is present that the other homeowner could have completely different ideas on the project etc.

Beyond that Wisconsin law requires that all homeowners sign any paperwork involved and be aware of any financing etc. So in the rare occurrence in which we do get together with one homeowner we have had discrepancies with the project and in some cases the other homeowner did not want to even do the project or wasn't made aware of this.

Finally this is very common practice in the industry. Simply by calling up any major home improvement company to schedule an estimate they are going to ask and require that all homeowners are present. In fact only unscrupulous companies do not follow this practice.

Again we apologize for the way in which this was communicated however this is what we find works best to make sure everyone is on the same page with regard to project proposals.

Regards

Mad city was great to work with. Quick service and nice work.

Great service, one day, 20 windows. Friendly and efficient.

I have a new jetted tub and surround. Everyone I dealt with at Mad City was polite and professional. The installers worked very hard and constantly cleaned up after themselves. I would suggest going to the showroom and seeing a large piece of the wall you want to make sure it is right for you.

I was very happy with this company and the people were very knowledgeable and friendly from start to finish.

Very professional service

THE INSTALLERS FOR OUR NEW TUB AND SURROUND WERE ON TIME, PROFESSIONAL AND VERY AWARE OF BREAKABLES IN OUR HOME. THE PRODUCT IS BEAUTIFUL AND IT FEELS GREAT TO HAVE A FUNCTIONING BATH AGAIN.

I signed my contract with Mad City roofing siding windows on 9/15/17 for complete home window replacement. This is 28 total windows (some are large transom windows) and a new sliding patio door. My measures were first done on 9/17/17. I received a phone call a couple weeks later advising they needed to send someone out again to verify a few measures. At that time a different gentleman came out to measure & stated the first guy didn’t measure properly & he needed to remeausre all my windows. Another 3 plus hours of my time for measurements. The next morning this same gentleman called to state he measured a window in my bathroom wrong & asked if he could quickly stop out. I said sure. Fast forward a few more weeks, he needs to come out yet again to make sketches of my transom windows. We are now into December & still nothing. I call several times to check status & let them know how baffled I am that knowing my frustrations with that, that they wouldn’t call to keep me updated. They say they don’t do that. They only call when appointments need to me made. I am super frustrated with them & advice that if my work doesn’t start by 1/1/18 as my contract states, that I would be canceling with them. They of course say I don’t want to do that as I would need to start the whole process again with a different company. I say, I am willing to take my chances. I get a call window are in & we set up installation days of 12/20/17-12/22/17 & I am told all windows are in. Installers come to install on 12/20/17 and let me know one of my windows came damaged, which that happens, and a new one has been ordered. My installers leave in the eve if 12/21/17 & advice they would be here in the a.m. on 12/22/17 to finish job. I get a phone call 30 minutes after they are to arrive from a project manager stating my transom windows actually didn’t show up on 12/21/17 like they were supposed to but should be there on 12/22/17 and they would call me as soon as they were in & looked over. I get a call later that afternoon to let me know they are in & either installers could come out on 12/23/17 to install or I could wait until replacement window (the damaged one) came in. I state, I want them out on 12/23/17 as the trim work around windows where transom sits on top aren’t complete & I don’t want my house looking like that for weeks while I wait. Installers come out on 12/23/17 and after they bring in the transom windows to make sure they fit, they are all wrong!!! All 4 transom windows are wrong size. After measuring 3-4 times on each window, they are wrong. Project manager advices he wants them to “try to make them work” but hard to do when they are off by a lot & it would have changed my cosmetic look of my home. On 1/4/18 I have the project manager, a rep from the window company, and another worker come out to measure yet again. As they leave they tell me 4-6 weeks for the windows to come in. Now as I sit & wait for those to come in, I have leaky windows. Water is leaking in through some of my windows as they didn’t seal them properly. They came out on 2/12/18 to fix the one I noticed the prior day & now that things are thawing with warmer temps, I have noticed 4 more leaking. Contract that I signed states work will commence on or before 1/1/18 and completion shall occur on or before 10 business days thereafter subject to terms & agreement. When I look on the back of my contract it states events beyond contractors contort but I think this is beyond that. I feel this is a company that saw how much money they would get from me & did a job they shouldn’t have. I gave them a down payment of $11,740 on 9/15/17 when contract was signed & my balance is $23,480.

Mad City Windows & Baths Response • Feb 19, 2018

Customer did call in stating that she had some service issues that needed to be addressed. We have a crew scheduled to go there on 2/19/18 to address the customers issues. We did speak with the customer on the week of 2/12/18 to give them an update of when we would be receiving the final 4 windows which there is a preliminary date of 2/22/18 which was explained that due to being extremely custom windows that the lead time to have them made and shipped would take longer then normal. The customer did request that we install the final 4 windows and, we will be looking to schedule that the week of 2/26/18 to get this project finished up which at that time of install we will be discussing her request for a settlement.

I had exterior doors installed in my mobile home by Mad City. They did an exceptional job of removing the existing and installing the new doors, jams and trim. The craftsmen were friendly, courteous and professional. When completed, they cleaned up inside and out and explained everything they did to my complete satisfaction. I would highly recommend Mad City to anyone looking to have work done on thier house.

I have tried contacting Mad City Windows regarding an issue with my bay window I purchased and had installed by them. Frost forms along the bottom of both side windows and condensation forms at the edges of them as well. I talked with Justin at the home improvement show this past Jan. He told me he would pass my information on to someone else. 2 weeks went by with no communication from them. I called Justin again and he again said he would have someone call me. Another week went by with nothing.

Mad City Windows & Baths Response • Feb 19, 2018

Mad city is contacting the customer to schedule a service call so that we can investigate the condensation concern.

The installers were excellent even in 3weather and working until 8:30 at night

I was completely satisfied with their work and the quality of my new windows. I will definitely use them again in the future!

They were very friendly and helpful. They did a great job on the Windows. It was nice that they did a follow up on the Windows to make sure everything was good
