I previously submitted a complaint and wanted to post a positive reviewDorothy and Melissa worked relentlessly to help myself and my wife resolve the leasing situation we were in, and I greatly appreciate them for working so hard on the matter
It was a rocky start to my wife and I's relationship with Marketplace Homes, but we ended well, and I greatly respect that the company worked with the homeowner to figure out a good resolution for my familyDorothy and Melissa were great!

First of all, I'm really sorry that *** feels this way We value her as a client and have actually worked very hard to attempt to satisfy her This post was made moments after myself and our President of Customer Service completed an hour long phone call We systematically went
through move in check list and move out checklists and compared damages We calculated a $short fall in damages based on a detailed line by line analysis and offered to cover this amount *** Piccu disagrees and wants $2K Certainly, we can disagree on an amount but we did invest time to attempt to find a way to resolve The bigger issue is that Marketplace Homes loaned nearly $12K to *** to assist her during a time she needed the funds Marketplace Homes agreed to be paid back by collecting rent on the property After about months, *** decided to sell the home instead of paying back Marketplace Homes Currently, Marketplace Homes is still owed $7,and requests payment of the entire amount by next Friday. This company is a complete scamThey provide you with a "mochecklist" to complete when you first move inDon't bother, nothing that I filled out was addressedWorse yet, they have no issues with charging you for the EXACT things you notify them about up front! I also submitted a request for service form while I rented from themAll they did was tell the owner, who did nothingThe request was to remove mold in the bathroom and to fix the fence in the backyardWeeks after I had moved out I had to reach out to find out the status of my security depositThen in less than a day, they sent me their move out inspectionOn top of naming things I had noted at move in and things I had sent requests for repair for, the employee that handled the deposit communications (apparently strictly through email) was rude and dismissiveAt one point I was even told that I hadn't noted things at move in that I really hadThey honestly don't care about their tenants at allThey have zero empathyThey even refused to give me a phone call or provide their office number - I had to ask timesWhen they finally gave me the number they made sure to mention "it could have been found with a google search"UnbelievableI've rented for over years from varying sources (leasing companies and private owners) and this was by far the worst experience from beginning to end that I've ever encounteredThank goodness I finally bought a home so I don't have to use companies like this
Please do yourself a favor and find a different way to rentAll the hoops they make you jump through are not worth it, especially in hindsight knowing they won't lift a finger for you

I was an excellent tenant with MarketplaceI paid my rent on time and any issues that I ever had with the property were forwarded to the homeownerThe homeowner would have her own contractor complete any work that needed to be doneWhen my lease was up I gave them months early notice stating that I would be moving outOnce I moved I spoke with the homeowner and she stated that marketplace quoted her that there would be 2,dollars in damages for paintSo she took it upon herself to get her own contractor to do the work once againMarketplace has withheld my 1,deposit for cleaning fee, a paint job and other miscellaneous itemsWhen I moved in I completed a move in inspection stating everything that is wrong with the homeBut when it was time to move out they never sent an inspection form for me to completeAnd the inspector they sent said that she doesn't fill out paperwork she just takes picturesThey clearly are not being truthful because the homeown

Lacy has been the best representative of a company I have ever had the pleasure of working withMarketplace Homes have helped my fiancé and I get into a wonderfully beautiful home and worked directly with the homeowner

This company is the worseThey will not fix anything, we moved into a dirty house in Covington GA when it was time to move we clean the house and they still charged us $for cleaningThe worse set of people I have ever had to deal withLast when our air was out for three weeks in the middle of the summer they did nothing to helpI say save yourself some money and time and stay away from anything they share the name Marketplace Homes

Good day I had reached Market Place Homes online on 1/4/Had an agreement with them to manage my rental property at *** *** ***, Parkville, MD We agreed and I paid them $and then they would charge $90.00/month as a fee for making a collection of $a month for rentIt took them several months to get the renter to set up their account for the bank to make collection They then started collecting money for $a month for th wrong date and amountAfter a few discussions they ended the agreement on4/30/
They (Marketplace Homes) then made more collections from the renter for $and $for a water bill from the account of the renter after the date of cancellationMarketplace Homes never got my information on my banking account to snd any money to I want to make sure that they have returned all the monies to our renter and would like to get back our initial payment of $250.00; because I feel that they did not fulfill our contrac

In my years of renting housing, I have never lost one penny of any security deposit for any property I have ever rented, until nowThis company took more than $from my security deposit claiming damages that were not there when I vacated the homeAdditionally, the money they charged for these so called damages were extraordinarily inflated compared to what it would have really cost
I truly wish I could have been there for the move-out inspection, but I work for the state of CA full time and am a full-time student as well, so my schedule did not permit me to be there Beware of this company! They force you to have the rent automatically withdrawn from your bank account, and several times during the lease they tried to withdraw the money early and they double charged me twice as well, which cost me considerable time contacting my bank to straighten it out
