I've spoken with our Director of Service, *** ***, and it looks like he's tried, unsuccessfully, to get in touch with Mrs*** over the past weekWe've also agreed to go ahead and reimburse Mrs***, for the plumbing fee, but would love to talk to her in more detail about her additional issue
Since it seems like our timing has been off, if Mrs*** was to give us a good day and time to call her, we'd love to be able to work this out.Marketplace Homes

Carol Fedak @ Marketplace Homes is wonderful, easy to work with, and handles issues very promptly so the plumber can get it fixed fast
Brian King @ The Plumber Guy

We are a Heating & AC Company located in Summerville SC and deal with numerous property management companies local and statewideMarketplace Homes, LLC uses our company frequentlyToday I received a call from Tracey Sheetz with Marketplace and she was setting an appointment for one of their propertiesI've talked to many agents for them and must say this was the most prepared agent we've ever talked withVery professionalGood job Tracey! 7/13/

Market place home is responsible for the management of our rental propertyMonths ago they were contacted to repair the renters MicrowaveWe received an add/choiceTo use marketplace services or fix it ourselvesWe elected for them to repair the micro waveLast week the renter called stating the AC unit was out and had been for quite some timeWe called and got run around; disrespect, and lies over the repairWe also found out that the microwave was never repaired as promisedWe were told that the micro wave would be repaired/ paid for by Marketplace but after speaking with them over the phone that has changed as well so we are paying for the repairs months laterThe manager was very smart towards us and spoke down to usWe were told a repairman would be out today to fix the AC and just this evening the renter confirmed that no one has shown up

Marketplace Homes was wonderful in helping us deal with our landlord and their customer service was so kind - we especially appreciated their help with communication towards the end of our lease term in negotiating more time, dealing with damages/claims etc

I rented a house from Marketplace HomesThe address is *** * *** *** Jacksonville, FL, I was to move in on Dec8, I was assured the house was move in condition and no repairs were neededAfter having the utilities turned on I realized there was no hot water and the refrigerator did not workAC outlets in the living room did not workThere is a gap at the front door of about 1-inches where it is open to the outsideThe drain in the sink and clothes washer drains under the house unto the ground
The house was not in a "move in" condition, and I have not moved inMarketplace Homes did send different plumbers to the house, but they could not get under the house to check the pipes due to the standing water under the houseThe plumbers stated the hot water needed to be replaced and the pipes needed to be replaced
I called Marketplace Homes and told them I could not move in and would like my money backThey stated they would not return my money and if I w

I'm new to Marketplace Homes for property management of my rental property and so far the experience has been excellent! Special recognition to Jason Wilbur who has gone above and beyond to assist me with everything I've neededMarketplace has a great team of folks to help get things done in a timely and professional mannerI highly recommend their services

I have had to call MPH four months in a row to request my rent payment They receive it from my tenant but do not pay me until I pest

After looking at a house and deciding to rent it, my wife and I come to find out that the house is infested with mold, on all the wooden doors and many of the wooden panels in the houseUpon initial review of the house, we didn't see this, and I only found out when I turned my flashlight on one night after coming to the house
Upon bringing up this issue to an agent of Marketplace Homes, post lease agreement signature and post deposit/rent payment, one agent, ***, was happy to helpThey hired a maid cleaning service and a carpet steam cleanerHowever, the house also has a significant humidity issue as indicated by the torrent or water on every window from the inside, not the outsideThe house needs corrective action via a mold remediation team and likely with other teams who can repair what is causing the moisture issues in the houseThis takes a lot of time and a lot of moneyThe company should have inspected FULLY the house before trying to lease it out to a tenantIt

Our VP of Property Management has reached out by email to ***. We will be offering to pay her any monies she can show that she has been charged or paid and then work on collecting from the Tenant who ultimately has caused this issues and racked up fines.
We have made multiple attempts in contacting the Tenant to have them pay the dues they have caused, however at this point the Tenant has not

On September 3rd I viewed a house, fell in love with it, and appliedI paid my 100$ app fee, and here is is over two weeks later and no one will answer or return my callsI feel like this home was never available and that I was just lied to

Do not use themThe whole company is a jokeThey lie and are very misleadingThey were supposed to do all this stuff that really we went and did, they should of been paying us

I've allowed Marketplace Homes to rent my home for me for almost 3 years now. They have changed my property manager on me without informing me as well as changing the amount of rent I receive every month. However the largest issue is that my roof is in need of repair. NC had a hurricane back in early fall. I am missig approximately 12-15 shingles and have stated I'd only like those replaced. Tracey S. has sent me a quote for $7000 that only has marketplace home's letterhead. No itemized list of repairs nor company name. John W. Her "manager" has yet to reach out to me upon my numerous attempts and my roof is yet to be fixed. Also the answering service states my ticket is closed out. Numerous emails and phone calls to a company that should be my "business partner" and nothing in return. This.is terrible practice.

Marketplace Homes Response • Jan 14, 2019

Marketplace Homes hired a local Licensed Roofer who did not provide feedback that the home only needed 12-15 shingles. Their feedback was that the Roof needed to be replaced. Local Roofing Companies have been very booked out, however if the Owner is wanting another opinion we would be happy to get them in touch with a Vendor. Marketplace has not collected any money for a repair on this home so we are not owing anything as far as repair work here .

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of why I am rejecting this response appear below:
I paid $600 to have part of my roof tarped. Due to the property management company failing to look for other roofing companies, I now have water damange on my ceiling. This will cost much more that replacing shingles. The storm happened in September.

This company is absolutely HORRENDOUS when it comes to selling your property! Had I not been locked into a contract with them where they had rights to selling my home for days, I would have cut ties and ran as fast as I could in the opposite direction!
To start, I was assigned a realtor, who I never once met! Let me repeatNEVER MET! My listing went live on a Friday, and I never heard a word fr4om her until my first offer cam in, the following Wednesday! She did an absolute ***-poor job of negotiating my home with the buyers agentAlthough, how could I expect her to go to bat for me, when she's never even seen my home?! That's right, she never even once stepped foot on the property that she was listing!!
This was the first time I've sold a home, so I was unaware of many of the costs associated with sellingI only knew of the realtor commission'sShe failed to tell me about the roughly 2% in additional closing costs that I will need to pay! Had I known of the additional costs, I would have never settled for the price I did!
To top it all off, she never even showed up to the closing! Like I said, still to this day, I have never even met her! She did a terrible job of communicating with me during the negotiationsshe was texting me the whole time, instead of meeting with me, or at least speaking to me on the phone! Because of this, several very expensive pieces of furniture that were only supposed to be in my FIRST counter offer, ended up on the purchase contractAlso, of which, she never even discussed with me!
All in all, run from this company! Sell it with someone elseOr, sell it on your own! I will never use another realtor again! I'm closing on a house as we speak, and neither the seller, nor myself used a realtorIt's super easy! All the documents you need are online, and then the title company and your lender take care of the rest!
As far as the Star Rating, I feel like they owe ME a star!! Too bad I can't give a negative star review!
Especially because of the thousands they cost me on my home!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Marketplace Houses is the third rental company I contacted, once I decided to rent my house I was a little worried when the other two companies never contacted me Marketplace Houses was the only company who promptly contacted me Not just the first time, every time I sent them a note or phone call And this was even before I even signed the paperwork I was also afraid once I did, they won’t be as prompt as some of the reviews I read To date this isn’t the case When it comes to knowledge and professionalism about rentals, my leasing and listing specialist, MsCassie Ott, and MsMonque Bollinger, are the best Not only, have these ladies answered my questions, but they continue to relieved all my fears If they represent all of Marketplace Houses employees, then my rental experience will be a breeze I am looking forward to continuing my work experience with Marketplace Houses

I was interested in a property that Marketplace Homes was managing for a landlordWhen I first began to speak with Marketplace representatives, everything was moving along smoothlyHowever, I started to feel that they were trying a bait and switch type of operationThe house I was interested in, was listed for $1000/monthAfter being requested, by Marketplace, to consider moving in at an earlier date, due to the fact that there was a few others interested in the same propertyI began to feel off about their approachWe gave her an earlier date, and she ran the applicationsCharging us $for the applications fee'sI was informed early on in the process that the landlords main concern, was to have someone move in as soon as possibleAfter continuing the process, they began to ask us to offer to pay a higher rental rate, like a bidding war between all those interested in the propertyI know now that I should have listened to my gut that they were trying to post a listing for

I contracted Marketplace Homes to manage my property in Indiana They advertised as being able to find good tenants and maintain the property After having to repeatedly hound them about missed/late rental payments and still missing late payments I decided to let them go after the lease was terminated This came sooner than expected The tenant complained that the air conditioner was no longer working The technician that Marketplace Homes selected reported that the blower on the 6-year old AC/Heating unit was out because of a lack of maintenance Maintenance was the responsibility of Marketplace homes, which has necessitated a $5,repair to make the house habitable again This repair necessitated by Marketplace Homes is a impossible burden at this time
The lease had a clause that it terminates if the home becomes uninhabitable Having no air conditioning in Souther Indiana for June July and August qualifies as making the dwelling uninhabitable Because of Marketpla

I am currently interning in San Diego, Ca and contacted Market Place Homes for the *** *** *** property in Columbus, OhioOn July 13, 2018, my application got approved and the property owner and myself signed the lease for the 2018-school yearToday, I wake up AM pacific time and received a text saying that they wanted months rent on top of the security deposit that we agreed to so I called them and explained that we had already agreed on a price for the security deposit and it was in the leaseEight hours go by while I'm at work and receive an email from them saying that my lease has been terminatedStay far away from this company!

Everyone falls on hard times at times and sometimes I needed to adjust my rent date always and I repeat always receive their money & late fees included but that wasn't good enough! they will still withdraw from your account make it over drawn & file eviction notices on you! David Duncan is a smart *** mouthed individual on the phone and email but I bet he's a punk in real life and in the court room!
