This client has been rude with our staff Using foul language and threatening At this point we are not able to work together and believe the best action is for us to move on.Our offer is to break the lease so that we can both go our separate ways We agree to waive the month fee
if the lease is broken in the month of November That is a savings of nearly $3K for the tenant

RE: *** ***
Case No. ***
Dear
Ms***:
We
received your March 20, letter regarding *** ***'s proposed solution, and we agree to go ahead and collect the amount of $for the repainting feeOnce this fee is satisfied, we will consider our case closedOur Financial Services department will be in touch with Ms*** via the contact information she provided to arrange payment(Daytime Phone: ###-###-####E-mail: ***@hotmail.com)Sincerely,Marketplace Homes

My monthly reimbursement for my rental property is consistently late with no written or verbal notice, which clearly is required in my contractAfter numerous calls for over year now and only ever speaking to an operator, I am never allowed to speak to a manager or supervisor, they are always not availableI have left over twenty messages for more than year now for someone to return my calls about my questions, I've never gotten one call back or responseI am ignored and constantly given excuses by operators only

I am a business Owner, and I work with people everydayI know what good customer service is and they are FAR from itMy crew completed a job for marketplace homes and it's been weeks and still have not received my paymentEvery time I call, the person that's SUPPOSED to be there is not thereAnd even if they do pay me what they owe me, I've climbed through nothing short of lies, bad service, and apathetic people to get what they owe meI have expressed my frustration to them, and they have made little to no effort to make things better for me or my experiences with themAs a business man, I would recommend to anyone to steer clear of MarketPlace Homes

great company that has helped our family move and manage homes

Used them to sell our old house while we were building a new one They were recommended by the builder since we were given a guaranteed offer for our old house I never met the people in person - all of the work was done over e-mail and the phone I even offered to come to their office to meet them The sign and lock box were sent to me via FedEx and I had to put them out
During the selling process, they would call me up demanding that we lowered the asking price for my house They were really into trying to intimidate me to let them have full control of the process When my house did sell, they didn't even show up for the closing The buyer's agent and the title company were there and they both commented that Marketplace Homes never shows up We had occupancy for a month after the closing, and even when we transferred the keys to the buyers we were told that the buyer's agent will do all the work
If you are looking for a company that will help you with selling your house, I cannot recommend Marketplace We did all of the work while they sat somewhere I still to this day do not know what my realtor looks like in real life

hi my name is Marion Darby my wife and I are currently looking for an apartment having no need to do this for a while needless to say my how things have changed.I started making phone calls from the she left in charge of out numbers I called no one answered except
Lexi Childress from marketplace homes and I must say she was most pleasant and professional person that I have with since we started this process THANK You Lexi

Marketplace homes refused to fix air/heating unit and I was forced to vacate the home due to the county building code enforcer deeming the property inhabitableThe company forced me to pay rent for months while the air/heating unit was not workingI had to repeatedly call company and eventually forced the company to release me from lease because they refused to fix unitNow the company is asking to deduct money from my security deposit for unfair claims and for damages that were done to the "As is" property before I legally leased the homeBetween March- June I also paid rent while the home owners refused to fix home after it had been flooded from a pipe leakThis company does business in a very unethical and illegal mannerThis company is taking advantage of tenants and home ownersThis company also had very poor customer service and consumer relations

We are very sorry for any confusion regarding an ice maker in the property We only manage the home and are not authorized to fix anything the homeowner doesn't let us fixWe are more then happy to provide the tenant the right to break the lease and move out wit day noticeThey can send a
note to ***@marketplacehomes.com with the final day they plan to be in the homeOutside of moving out, I would recomend ice trays as a solution to cool down a drink on a hot summer day

I rented a home from Marketplace Homes, LLC years agoI recently moved out and before completely leaving, I cleaned and fixed up the house to its original conditionMarketplace Homes sent an inspector; he discovered no issuesI was informed about this once again when I called the company and the representative told me my security deposit would be returned in fullAfter weeks I got an email from *** ***; she is a representativeThe email stated that $USD was redacted from the security depositThe reasoning to replace mismatched kitchen flooringI asked to receive a receipt and I was not given oneI got the home in the same condition that I returned it and there is no reason for me to invest in remodelling because of the homeowner's wishes

My dealings w/ them have been positive There property management team is tops,Jon Wilson is a great knowleable person to deal with

My experience with marketplace homes as a general contractor overall has been great, I have worked closely with Amber Benak to get home inspections and property repairs completed, she is very professional, quick to respond and detailed about work neededEverything is very well planned out on her end so that when its my turn to do my job I have all of the details needed so I do not have to continue going back and forth to clarify informationIt is a very reliable and easy work relationship, as a contractor that is hard to come by and very much appreciated

***,I think you are a good guy and I have a lot of respect for both you, your wife and kids. I can really appreciate the situation of having an expense come up that is unexpected and I think that it had not been properly disclosed in regards to how we typically do a transaction.
However, we always need to market a home for rent in order to give an owner rent and the home is unmarketable if it is under contract. If that wasn't conveyed to you, I'm very sorry The facts remain that you are not happy with the work of our team. We had a misunderstanding regarding a payment for December and I promised to get back with you in hours with a solution. During that time you decided to file a Revdex.com complaint. Later you claimed that you had posted to the Revdex.com prior to us even speaking, however when we spoke you didn't say that you hadin fact you threatened to post comments online. You have posted your issue publicly and it has the effect of hurting our team, myself and the exact people that you are having help you sell your home. Now we have extra costs to deal with the Revdex.com post, it will be there for years and I need our attorney to write up a response. I feel really upset about this My intent was to help you understand our original agreement and come up with a plan to help. I thought that by offering to sell your home it might help you, but I appear to have been incorrect. Instead it caused me to receive multiple angry e-mails our team has fielded. Including correspondence regarding the first buyer that ended up falling through to the current one At this point, I don't think that it is healthy for your family and our team to correspond. Let's be honest, your family is not happy with the service received by our team (as expressed below in your Revdex.com complaint). Our team is hurt and upset by the work we put in that feels like we are being blamed that your home is upside down and our work carries little value. This is a toxic relationship My offer to withdraw from the transaction is to save ALL of us the hurt from having to work together when clearly it is not working for either party. I'm offering more then the funds you requested for December, this should be a plus for you. But the reason I'm doing it is so we can all just move on immediately. So my decision is that we are doing the following;1) We are removing ourselves from the agent representing you on the sale of the home and offering to rebate the 1% Marketplace Homes commission to you in the form of a price reduction (About $1,100) 2) Marketplace homes / myself / our team is no longer involved in the transaction3) Our team will send confirmation of this by the end of Tuesday4) No further communication is needed, this is my decision and I believe it is a fair solution I wish you all of the best.Regards, *** ***

I was on the buyers side of Marketplace HomesI am not one to always write bad reviews, but this one was definitely needed to be writtenMy family and I purchased a home back in May and we have bad buyers remorse and wanted to move on by selling this houseWe were told by multiple home builders to contact Justin Lauer from Marketplace Homes, were told he would work with us to help us get into our new construction home and out from under our current homeA lot of the facts seemed almost too good to be true, and it was awesome speaking with him the first few timesHe was very informative and responsive and reassured our fears of not being able to sell our homeFirst off, we put over $100,down on our current home and we need that money to put down on a new homeIn the event that our current home doesn't sell in time, Justin Lauer told us that he could get an approval from legal and they would be able to give us our down payment amount (interest free) so we could put it down on the new home in order to close, then in the mean time they would pick up our monthly note on our current home and we would just be responsible for general maintenance (mowing lawn, repairs, etc.) They would keep it on the market, then when it closed they would take back the money they gave me and the rest would be used to pay off the loanThen we found out we couldn't go conventional from the lender and had to go FHA again, we currently have an FHA loan on our current home and as many people know, you can only have one FHA loan at a timeSo we put our $1,down on our new home to be built, and started the official loan approval processOnce Justin Lauer found out we could only go FHA, he sent me an email saying since we couldn't go conventional he would see about resubmitting it as a sale with buyout, and would possibly have an answer early the following weekI wrote him back to get a better understanding of the buyout program, and then received no further contact from JustinWe tried, email, texting him, calling him, etcMy husband tried off his cell phone (different from what we normally used) and Justin Lauer was quick to reply with a text that he could leave a message and he would return the call asapThen immediately afterwards we called from my phone and didn't get the same text backMany of the builders were so head over heals about Justin Lauer and spoke about how well he communicates, and I have no idea whyCommunication at first was good, but as the days went on and after we signed this contract with him, the communication became nonexistentI will not be participating in any programs though Marketplace Homes or be working with Justin Lauer in the futureWhen selling your home, its always best to deal with someone in personYou will never meet him, and obviously Justin Lauer doesn't care enough anyway so how could you work with someone like that? I read a ton of reviews on Marketplace Homes on other websites, but most reviews were bad, but based off the rentals side onlyI cancelled our contract with Marketplace Homes, I do not work well with bad communicationI will not tolerate it, and I need a company and person I can depend on

We have reached out to *** to go over the SODA and the amount of the security deposit that will be returned. The total amount that will be refunded is $It will be refunded in the next 35-days. Thank you!

DO NOT LEASE WITH THIS COMPANY.

CEO Mike Kalis is extremely rude and takes a defensive stance when paying customers bring legitimate complaints about the lack of competence, customer service and basic human decency from property managers. Especially Emily Bell (seems like there may be some inappropriateness between the pair).

Mike refuses to take responsibility of a system billing issue that occurred on their end that resulted in Emily wrongfully filing an injunction to evict against me. Save yourself the trouble and do not use this company.

I had a most pleasant and informative conversation with CaylaShe was so helpfulI have look at so many homes & got my hopes up to let downBut I am really hoping that Cayla and her team can help me find my home

I have been working as a General Contractor/ Inspector with Marketplace Homes, Amber Benak is the person in charge of the territory I work in and we have a very good working relationship, she always responds quickly to calls and questions I haveShe gets everything needed for the houses together in a way that I typically do not need to follow up with her and it makes it very easy to do my jobI would definitely suggest this company to people, not just to work through as a trade, but to work with as a rental/real estate companyI work with many their homeowners and tenants directly, and despite typical issues they may have with their home, Amber is always the one to make sure the process with them and the company goes very smoothly

When we first saw the town home with Marketplace Homes we fell in love with itEverything went wellWe moved in in Janof A few months later we asked about there rent to own programWe were given info that said we would have to years before we would have to get a mortgageThat was in MaySo we signed the new paperwork and all was goodWe were told our deposit would go towards the down payment as well as per monthIn Oct.we were told our lease was coming to an end soonWhen I questioned the lease ending and that we were rent to own, they seemed to be confusedAfter emails back and forth, I was told the owner wanted the home back and we had to moveI was upset but what can you doI thought since they did not keep the contract we would get our deposit backNO, we did not! they say we signed the contract so we lose itI contacted a lawyer but it will cost more for the lawyer then is worth itThis was not our fault, we were going to keep our end of th

I am from ***, MA I rent a house online located in *** * *** *** ***, IL from marketplace homes and I was told from them that the house have a new appliances and if there is anything wrong they will fix it, so I thought that the house is in excellent condition so I didn't check it, I start renting the house on 04/10/the monthly payment is $I paid them months upfront and last month, also $security deposit but instead of $security deposit they took $from my bank wish I dont know why? $moving fee and $applications fees wish they said $for each application but we are only person currently but they took $instead of $150!! total of $plus $applications fees, after signing the lease online I saw that the first payment after paying the months upfront will be on 6/25/wish is wrong so I contacted them and they sent me a new lease to sign next day and they fix it to 7/25/2016, they also emailed me the moving instruction and
