Marketplace homes was great to work with at the beginningAs soon as we vacated the property we were renting however, things turned into a nightmareIt's been over a month since we moved out and we still don't have our security deposit back, now they are making bogus claims for repairs that could never amount to what our full security deposit wasSuper shady, stay away

We are not looking to over complicate things or asking for anything extraWe are asking for Marketplace Homes to honor the contract we have and pay the December rent payment to us that is owedWe are under a real estate contract to sell our homeIt is scheduled to close by 12-31-We want you to see the sale to closing

I moved out in NOVEMBER on good standing, gave them their early notice, paid all my rent on time, and got some of my security deposit back and everythingThen I got an "EVICTION NOTICE" in February! I've already called them twice and no one has gotten back to meThis is affecting my credit score and I don't want to have an eviction on my recordI can't believe its like they're not even taking it seriously

Shawna Hoenicke has been great to work with Shawna is very professionalShe's keeping up to date on my property as the tenant was ending the lease and the search for a new tenant If one is looking for a good property management person she's the one

Marketplace Homes is a great real estate company! They worked tirelessly to list my house for sale, negotiated the price with agents for me, and got me more than I thought we could get! Cassie Ott was professional and gave me great advice on how to prepare for the transition to my new houseExcellent experience! Will def recommend

I live in Oregon, purchased a property in FloridaI found Marketplace Homes on a Property Management search with Google
Amanda Clunis answered by call, immediately provided me services, set up a contract under my rent, deposit and care requirements to rentI needed to finish rehab that continually got delayedShe moved marketing (including write up and pics) as I kept adjusting time linesI was at the last couple of weeks of the rehab and she was marketing the rental I must of seen 2-people per day over the two week period looking at my rental through their marketing efforts
The company miss billed me, they corrected right away and all future Billings were correctAlso, I agreed to one item on the contract that I missed, they allowed me to change (tenant guarantee )
Amanda seems to be on her game all the time, if she is not responsibility for a certain area, she contacts and follows up with the appropriate team member at Marketplace Homes and the task is resolved
I have been with them for months and all is working out fine
I have already recommended this company to other potential real estate investors
I will use them again on a future rental, David

Mike Tand Erica Swere amazing in helping us sell our home in Katy, TX so that we could move into our dream home!! The Marketplace Homes team bought our house so we didn't even have to go through the process of showings, it was the simplest way ever to sell our home....we can't recommend them enough

We moved in this property on 7th April of that was presented by MarketplaceHomes, LLCFirst of all, when we moved in this place there were so many things that were either missing or unserviceable; i.emissing washing machine, dryer and refrigerator in which they don’t even know the items went missingSecond, the electric oven was unserviceable for almost a week before I got a hold of my landlord (got his contact number from my neighbor)I kept on calling MPH, in which either they were busy with meeting or they don’t pick up the phone During that days we had to eat out and did our laundry at the laundry serviceAfter so many calls and emails, finally somebody from MPH responded back and they did the prorated rent down to $
Now my landlord is selling his property to us We are asking $back from MPH since we are not moving out from this home and got deniedPlease see below part of the lease agreement
Item on the Leasing Agreement:
Nonrefundable Administrat

I signed my lease on August 1, We moved in immediately, and informed the landlord that the air conditioner was not working the same dayIt is now September 4, 2018, and the problem has not been addressedWe did not even have a contractor visit until August The landlord gives various excuses every time we callWhen we call to get the issued resolved, we request the associate to transfer us to the supervisor, I believe her name is *** or ***, and invariable are told by the associate attempting to call the supervisor that "she's not picking up her phone"This actually happened again today, September I have High blood pressure, and my husband has allergies, making it difficult for both of us to breathe, and living this way is both painful and unhealthy, and will lead to further health complicationsWe moved here with the guarantee of air condition, and the landlord has done nothing to help usAnd of course, we have been suffering through the hottest month of the s

Marketplace homes is a company designed to help homeowners sell/lease their home and move the homeowners into one of their homesAll contact was made through MPH and then they would contact the homeownersAfter a few problems in the house and very upset homeowner, the homeowner then broke the contract to stop leasing their house through MPHWe had explained to the homeowner due to circumstances we had to move out, the homeowner told us all we had to do was pay him the last months rentMarketplace homes sent a notice saying we were going to be charged a cleaning fee, garbage removal fee, among other fees, even though they could not get into the house to do their "inspection"I have attempted to contact the supervisor about times (so far) and have been waiting to hear back now for over a monthEvery time I call, I am told the supervisor is not in, followed by and excuse and then am told I can make an appointment and still never hear back

At first all seemed wellWe went to look at a home and was told we would receive an email that day about the applicationdays went past and I reached outAbout a day later I received the emails from a man named Charlie and I sent all documents needed along with the $application feeweeks go past and nothingAfter countless calls, emails and almost a month later, he reached out to say the home is no longer availableI WILL NOT use this service ever again

Marketplace Homes has issues with keeping promises related to repairs of the home once a tenant moves out of a rented home They have poor customer service They do not return their calls timely They lack proper follow-through They do not keep up their customer agreements and promises

This complaint is against Marketplace HomesWe just moved from *** ** *** *** *** Mi
We were told that there was a inspection to be done 2-days after movingWe were never notified of the inspection Marketplace then tried taking my complete security deposit saying that we caused in damagesthey then refused to give me a formal list of damages, They sent me a handwritten list of damagesThey ignored the Rental Condition checklist that shows the home was in very poor condition prior to us moving inThey refuse to take phone calls, are very nasty in emails and the email I received tonight said that they are taking more money because I am "unappreciative" How is this legal? How can they send me something that's hand written and not formal paperworkWe never received a formal break down of charges
They also cut the power before we were due to move out so we couldn't vacuum or clean appliances
They also paid the water bill that wasn't due and tried char

I write my experience with Marketplace Homes as a true nightmare

I had applied for a new place with Marketplace Homes and the situation did not work outMy agent's name was *** *** and we both decided it was best to not go through with the rest of the renting processShe specifically said through email that I would be refunded my $application fee the week we had decided to go separate waysIt has been about a month and a half since and we have yet to be issued the refund promisedI have called several times and received no call back after leaving a message everytimeI was very polite each message and then last week was able to get a hold of *** and she was extremely rude and said she did not have to give us anything back even though she had said that would happenI tried explaining that to her and she said she was done talking and hung up the phone on me abruptlyI am extremely disappointed with this agent and company in general and think it shows bad business practices to have this issue and to have someone like that representin

Shawna is very professional and trustworthyThis company is reliable and it was a delight to work with them they were always prompt and courteous during the whole processShawna makes doing business a pleasureI will strongly recommend them to anyone who needs a great services

We are sorry to hear about this situation and certainly care about the well being of your family and you. Our team was surprised that you posted online as our property manager and leasing representative have been in touch and working on the situation. Upon hearing that the home was
dirty, they immediately arranged to have the home cleaned and the owner agreed. After the cleaning, it became more clear that it might be more than just dirt and could possibly be mold. They set up an inspection to determine if the home, in fact, has mold and even through that inspection has not been completed, the owner is willing to offer the following;1) To make sure any possible mold is fully mitigated by a licensed contractor if you wish to stay in the home.2) If you do not wish to stay in the home, the owner will refund any funds paid. All we would ask for in return is that you agree to a couple things;1) You mentioned online posts about our team. We ask you to read the positive reviews about our company online. We have a star rating on google and on zillow. You even referenced in emails to our team that you had been happy with the service of our staff, just not the property. We ask that you separate the property and the service our team provides. We are all sensitive to your situation.2) Mold is BOTH the tenant and owner's job to help mitigate. In fact, if a tenant is slow to notify a landlord of mold, the tenant can be liable (not the case here and we appreciate the quick notification). In this case, the landlord is taking prompt action to mitigate the damages but it is both the landlord and tenant's job to work together, not just the owner. We hope that one of the options above helps to solve your situation and we really feel bad that the home you moved into did not work out.Regards,*** ***CEO

HelloThese tenants signed up for this lease sight unseen, and when they arrived and this home needed many repairs, Marketplace Homes agreed and got with the actual owner of the property in making all of the necessary repairs immediately The tenants were told immediately that they would not
be charged any rent (we would pro-rate and reimburse) from day of their lease until it was confirmed that the repairs were made The main issue, with a broken water valve, was addressed by the owner of the property right away That being said, there were still other necessary repairs that we agreed with the tenant on, and did state all rent would be pro-rated back until we knew they were done After repairs were being made, the tenants told a member of our Marketplace Homes Team that they wanted to move out and did not like the area That is not a valid excuse for breaking a lease Per the tenant's signed Lease Agreement with Marketplace Homes, there is an early lease break fee of months rent Marketplace Homes' proposed offer is to charge the tenant months of rent + the $application fee (totaling $1,950), and refund all other fees and the other pre-paid rent If the tenants are in agreement, we will process and refund immediately. Please keep us posted We truly feel that with us offering to pro-rate all rent from the time that they started the lease until when the repairs were completed, we are offering a fair solution We look forward to hearing if this is accepted and we can all move forward

I moved into my current residence in March of My family and I love this houseMy plan is to purchase this home once the lease option is completeMarketPlace Homes, however has cause a rift between my bank, Navy Federal Credit Union and myselfOn four separate occurrences they have tried fraudulently to remove money from my checking account in the name of *** ***, I was informed of this from my bankIn my first initial contact with MPH no one there would admit to any wrong doing, after talking with several representatives I finally got someone to research the problem and the error was said to be correctedWith that correction supposedly been done I requested to have my rent due-date changed to the 3rd of each month instead of the 25th, so that if anything ever occurred again I would have enough in my checking account to cover any mistakesUnfortunately none of this was resolved, MPH fraudulently made three more attemps on my account in the same fraudulent name for
