The customer came to us giving us a list of items that needed to be moved which reflected that a man crew could handle the job and complete it efficientlyThe estimate with all information was emailed to the customer for his review and acceptanceOur records do not show that the customer replied or requested with a need to increase his number of movers for the jobWhen an estimate is given over the phone it is only going to be as good as the information that the customer provides to us and estimate accordinglyFor our returning customers we do not look at a history of services and quote from that information as the customers belongings and circumstances change
When our crew got to the job site the foreman evaluated the situation and notated that the job would take longer than the estimated time frame as there were more items than listed in the estimate, which was discussed with the customer
Regarding
our Foreman with the injury, he was released from medical care back on 7/3/this particular move was conducted on 8/16/which was well over a month of the employee being cleared to work by his physicianThe request from the customer regarding the moving equipment/straps to be used to move the washer and dryer was explained that the item is not something we use, per our company policy we do not utilize them as we do not
consider them safeThis particular product can cause more harm than help
depending on the job and how the materials have to be usedWhen the customer called in about the job taking longer than expected we offered a third man and that is when he questioned why three men were not sent out in the beginningWhen asked if he realized what his estimate included his reply was "I didn't read it, I just assumed since you sent three men the last time you would send three again." The customer at that time agreed to have a third man come out to the job site to complete the workAt no time while the move was being conducted did the customer call our dispatcher or the office to state that one of his crew members was not working as we would have corrected the situation immediatelyUnfortunately, damage does occur in the moving industry and Mr***'s claim was received and responded to accordinglyWe are disappointed when a customer comes away with an unsatisfactory experience with our services as Master Movers has been moving customers for over years now with many glowing reviewsWe strive to ensure that each customers experience is an excellent oneThank you,

What a terrible experienceI used these guys because when we moved to Indiana less than a year ago, we used some of their guys to unload our U-HaulThey were fast and efficient, and I was pleased with their service at that time
This time, I used them to move our fully-packed home into a truck (a rented trailer truck, not their truck), and I had a horrible and truly stressful experienceFirst of all, I requested and was quoted a rate for guysOnly showed upNonetheless, the guys there insisted on pre-charging my credit card for the higher rate for additional hours (in case the third guy didn't show)So, now a week later, I'm still waiting for a $refund
The two guys packed the truck HORRIBLYThis I discovered only after they left----they left me with an entire 3-car garage full of stuff that "didn't fit" in the truckAfter panicking and calling every moving company I could think of to get an additional trailer, rent a U-Haul, etcfor our cross-country move, I investigate the truck and saw that they hadn't utilized the uppermost 4-feet of the ENTIRE truck---this was so much wasted spaceAdditionally, once I climbed to the back of the truck, there was actually room for me to stand on the floor of the truck and spread my arms and turn around
Oh, and that third guy showed up hours after we called to request himApparently he was minutes away "lost" the entire hours
I ended up having to hire some guys off of *** to REPACK the entire truck, and lo and behold, every single item in my full 3-car garage they claimed "didn't fit," fit just fine with room to spare
Such a bad experienceI'll never recommend them again
UPDATE: I posted the above review on Yelp and the business owner replied that I should've called them to send out a supervisor to assess the packing, and that they wouldn't sent out additional movers to fix the packing if deemed unacceptableHad I had enough time to wait for this (given that I already waited over hours for the promised third mover), I would haveHowever, I had to be out by that evening, and I wanted nothing more than to just be done with this company and actually get competent people to get my things moved out on time
Additionally, I have now been waiting almost a month for my "immediate" refund to my credit cardI've called times, my husband has called more times, and I've been promised a return call times---no calls have ever been returnedI've filed a formal dispute with my credit card company; we'll see what happens

I hired master movers to move me from columbus Indiana to IndianapolisThey were very professional,very courteous and very timelyI couldn't have been more happier with their workNothing was damaged and they took their time with ask my belongings making sure nothing hastened during the transportThank you master movers and ***'s crew for the excellent move experience

Stay away from Master MoversThey promised three guys, only two show up, then I ended up helping to move in place of their third guy that failed to show up, they broke some antique china given to me by my parents, then they refused to pay the claim stating they didn't pack the chinaI had the china packed in layers of bubble wrap and had the box clearly noted in red that the contents was china & to be extremely carefulThey were not because the box was partially crushedSadly disappointed in their service, their promise to provide three guys, how they damaged our household goodsI felt good about them when I made the reservations, but never again will they get my business and I STRONGLY URGE YOU TO HIRE BETTER MOVERS

Dear Revdex.com,Ms*** was move don 8/27/On 8/28/she called to say that the moving crew did not put things in her basement as needed and she being an elderly woman can not do it her selfShe stated she was missing a hose holder and the hose connectedMs*** stated she was happy
with the crew members but they moved so fast she didn't have time to really see what items were being put whereAs a customer service resolution we sent a man crew to her that day (8/28/15) to complete whatever she needed done (moving boxes down into the basement, moving items from the garage into the house, arranging any furniture she needed placed correctly)The billing department closed out the moving documents for the customers move and notated that the customer had listed a chair that was damaged during the move (the front legs were broken off)A claim form was sent to Ms*** to handle this issue. On 9/4/we received a call that Ms*** stating she was missing the panel to her grandfather clock, (however, we have the signed form stating she checked the back of the truck to show that nothing was left on it)On 9/8/a voicemail message was left for Ms*** to alert her that the in conducting a warehouse search there was no such piece found so if she did not locate it to add it to her claim formOn 9/9/Ms*** left a voicemail to state that she found the hose and the rollerOn 9/11/Ms*** called and confirmed that she found the hose and the roller but the hose was brokenThen went on to say that she was missing a box of booksMs*** during the conversation became very emotional and began to cry, I assured her that we will do another warehouse search for the box, however customer service had not been alerted that there was any item unclaimed itemsThe information was sent to the dispatch department who conducted another warehouse search and has yet to find any items that fit Ms*** descriptionOur customer service department has 24-hours to return all calls and although we would like to think that the department is perfect and doesn't miss any calls, unfortunately with the volume we receive in calls some calls may not get answered until that third day and we apologize for any inconvenience that this caused to the customer. Ms*** has been given a claim for to resolve her issues with the damage or missing items and once received we will of course get it processed asap.Thank you for assisting in resolving the customers issues.Sincerely,Master Movers

reviews stay visible and what does notPer the conversation with the *** representative, if Master Movers placed ads on their site they would revamp our review page*** does not contain a fair reporting system or posting systemIf you would like to see reviews of customers that are happy with our services we are very happy to provide them as there are manyPer the notes in the account at no time was Master Movers made aware of any damages to any property or items contained in the shipmentThe customer signed the inventory sheets to confirm all items were delivered and at that time while the paperwork was in his/ her possession they had every opportunity to notate any issues and or call them and or email them to our customer service departmentNone of these reports were submittedI do apologize however, I am do not have any access to any conversations that were held with the dispatcher / foreman or supervisorThus the response on this subject came directly from Benjamin who was involved in the communications directly with Mr***Per the estimate given it was requested that Master Movers conduct packing for the job and on the day of the move due to the additional items there was additional packing that needed to be completedThe customer did not have all of the items packed and protected for a long distance moveAgain, the reporting system for *** is not an accurate reporting of reviews please check the "not recommeded" link to see a full spectrum of the reviews posted.

absolutely great they were very professional and she thanks them for finishing up the job so wellA claim form has been sent to her for the damage to her propertyWe went over the process and how to fill out the form explaining that she needs to take images of the property damage along with the images to any furniture damagedThe valuation coverage was explained to her as wellAs soon as Ms***' claim form is received we will expedite it to ensure her issues are handled in a timely manner for her holiday concerns of company coming, her file will also be given to a supervisor to review and offer her compensation for the unsatisfactory service level of the work performedWe apologized to Ms*** for the issues on the day of her move and look to make it right for herThe customer was given the direct extension to customer service and email address in case she has any questions on how to fill out her claim form. Dear Revdex.com,Ms*** daughter was to be moving a total of items we received items from herThe items picked up were not according to the list given at the time of booking, there were items added to the list and taken away from the list on the day of movingWhen this happens it changes
the dynamics of the shipment (meaning size and reservation of space being used)After loading the items of the article list the customer was told that to add the additional it would be an added costA revised written estimate was filled out with the charges and the customer signed to agree to the chargesPer the notes the customer was not available on the day that the driver would arrive and so on the 13th per the account the dispatch department spoke to the customer and informed them that the delivery would take place on the 14thPer the moving documents the delivery was completed on the 14thAt no time was the customers belongings being held hostage, the amount due at the time of the delivery was the same amount that was informed to her prior to her delivery by the billing departmentPer the estimate it spells out what the cost is for additional items.
