I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. There was no special pricing offered? I was quoted a price. There was benefit for my military service but nothing for acknowledgement of Meineke not fixing the problem. Meineke is great at giving themselves credit for everything except why I pulled into their business entered into a relationship with them. To fix the my squeaking brakes.
Regards,

I reviewed the two transactions and found the pricing correct and assure you they meet industry standards. If you have no other concerns I would  appreciate your consideration in closing this matter. Thank you

I have received a copy of your complaint to the Revdex.com regarding your account. I’m sorry for any misunderstanding regarding Puzzlemania.

I have received a copy of your complaint to the Revdex.com regarding your account. I am sorry for any misunderstanding that has occurred regarding Puzzlemania.
Our records indicate we received a response to one of our promotional mailings and it was processed on June 3, 2014. Our...

practice is to process all order requests we receive unless it is obvious that the request is not legitimate. Often it is difficult to tell, so we process the request in good faith.
The Puzzlemania promotional materials included with the response form indicated that an introductory shipment would be sent that included a free Puzzlemania book, a free tote bag, and certificate. The promotion went on to state that a second book would be included to review on a trial basis. If you chose not to continue with the membership, you could let us know and we would cancel the account and stop any future shipments. The free book and tote bag could be kept with our compliments.

As we have no record of receiving a cancellation request, we did not realize that it was not your intention to enroll in the club. As a result, we continued to send shipments in good faith in accordance with the details of the promotion. I have cancelled your Puzzlemania membership, effective February 16, 2016. All charges have been removed from your account. Please feel free to keep the shipments with our compliments. Highlights contracts with agencies to collect on accounts that are past due. However, your credit rating will not be impacted.

Dear Ms. [redacted]:   I have received a copy of your complaint to the Revdex.com regarding your account.  I am sorry for any misunderstanding that has occurred regarding your Puzzle Buzz account.   The offer to which you responded indicated that you would receive an...

introductory shipment of Puzzle Buzz, for which you would be charged a nominal shipping and handling charge of $2.98.  It then stated that you were free to cancel and return one of the books with no further obligation.  Or, if you chose to continue in the club, you would receive 3 new Puzzle Buzz books every three weeks at $16.95, plus shipping and handling and tax.   It is clear from the information you sent to the Revdex.com that you never intended to order this club membership.  I have verified that our account has been cancelled and removed the charges for the last two shipments sent to you, effective June 21, 2017.  The closing balance is zero ($0.00).  Please feel free to keep any shipments you have received with my compliments.  Please disregard any notices or mailings that may have been printed prior to today’s date.    Once again, I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced.  Should you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at ###-###-####, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, EST.   Thank you, Jeff C[redacted] Director, Customer Contact Centers   Account # [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
the offer does not stand well with me , with my past experiences, I don't feel comfortable nor do I have the time to take off work AGAIN to find my self in the same position that I once was with the run around and poor results. I would appreciate the refund I've requested, for the time lost and the inconvenience that my family endured during this process. I had to pay for parts they broke while repairing my vehicle, which is totally unacceptable. These are suppose to be professionals, and I understand the space for humane error, but I experienced too many errors on one trip; and due to their negligence my family and I are the ones who had to suffer, and take a lose.  All I want is a refund, disregard the new transmission, I've already had to purchase a new vehicle due to their mistakes.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Meineke has made my point 'In Fact', "I suppose if we would have quoted a 4 wheel brake replacement for almost double the initial cost, Mr. [redacted] would have filed a complaint for trying to sell him front brakes that have plenty of life left, which would have lead to Mr. [redacted] complaining to the Revdex.com about an inaccurate assumption that we were trying to sell service that didn't need to be done." It's not Meineke's job to try and discern what they can sell. Meineke's task was to arrest the squealing in my brakes, which they did not. This isn't hard to understand. I complained about brake noise. After their inspection, Meineke forwarded a prescribed fix, WHICH DID NOT WORK. We now get all manner of sarcasm and double speak to cover either their gross problem in service delivery or their shady business practices. If they had quoted a 4 whee brake job and I declined it, we wouldn't be here. I asked to have the brake noise arrested. That did not not happen. And lets not forget, Schylor rode with me and personally heard the noise. Meineke is either the personification of every sterotype of car mechanic's or they'll make this right and arrest the noise in my brakes.

[Your Answer Here]

Well, [redacted]'s response has left me flabbergasted.  He readily admits
that the ball joint was not replaced...the ball joint that had
initially caused the car to fail the state inspection, the ball joint
that was supposed to be replaced, that I authorized his shop to replace.
The ball joint that was banged on so much that the bracket/clamp that
holds it in place was cracked, leading to the cracked bracket/clamp
being welded. The ball joint that I paid his shop $151.57 to replace so
that my car would pass the state inspection. Really.
I totally refute
[redacted]'s charge that I knew his shop did not replace the ball joint.
I only found that out recently when I was hearing noise from the car
and had it looked at. Also I reject [redacted]'s charge that I was OK
with the weld. When I was told that the bracket/clamp was cracked I
asked that it be replaced. I then left the car overnight (at that point
with the cracked bracket, it was undriveable). When I returned the next
day, I was told that the bracket/clamp had been welded...without my
consent. At that point I protested that the part should have been
replaced. Having no other transportation, I needed my car. I paid the
bill and left.
[redacted],  the proprietor of the establishment conceded that the ball joint
was not replaced but said that the car was inspected and drove fine for
over a year after the repair and implied that he had no liability in the
case. I spent over $315.79 to replace the cracked part and the ball
joint plus what I was charged initially for the repair from
meineke...151.57, a total of 467.36.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Or, if you chose to continue in the club, you would receive 2 new Puzzle Buzz books every four to five weeks at $10.98, plus shipping and handling.

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]. Please add your rejection comments below.
There are a few things that a most certainly not accurate.  First, I picked my car up @ 2:00 right before my wife and I had to get my children from school.  When I drove it up the hill and into my driveway, I told my wife the brakes felt very odd and hoped that it was due to the cold climate.  We then left in her car to get the kids before going to an ultrasound appointment.  By the time we got home, it was past 6:00 and I really didn't think about the brakes.  The next morning I woke up, warmed the car up, and took it for a drive around the block to see if the brakes were still an issue.  This is when I took it immediately to Meineke, just about 9:45 or so, certainly not 1:00 like Meineke previously stated.  I called and told him exactly what happened, he told me to bring the vehicle in.  While waiting, a woman came in with brake problems from the week prior (they were screeching and sticking she said).  The gentleman that owns Meineke said my brake line was broken and asked if I wanted to see it.  I laughed and said "no I'm good, when I brought it in the brakes worked fine, when I drove off they were broken. "  His response was "Ya, things happen."  He then asked if I wanted it fixed for $150 and I said that I would never let him touch my car again.  This is when I took it to [redacted] and they replaced it for $133.  In regards to [redacted], I can most certainly explain what happened on a site for feedback.  I do not have a clue what he is referring to about rent.  I never mentioned anything about rent, and quite frankly have no issues paying my rent.  This seems like a malicious try by the owner of Meineke to make me look like I am a guy looking for something free because I can't afford my bills?  This whole thing is over a business doing a consumer wrong and not owning up to it.  On top of not being a compassion business owner that cares for his customers, he tries to make me look like a broke man that can't pay his rent.  I have spent over $4,000 in repairs to both my car and my wife's former van, it is a bad sense of business judgment to treat repeat customers this way.  Shameful.  God Bless- hopefully this just sheds a light and the next person doesn't have to pay out of pocket for Meinke in South Attleboro's mistakes that they won't own up to.

Dear Revdex.com I have reviewed and investigated this complaint. The labor time charged was correct and the parts were sold at industry standard  list price. I also listened to the call and it was explained in detail spark plugs and ignition wires labor and tax. The customer did agree to the...

price and the repairs. if the customer needs additional work we are happy to help. All parts and labor are fully guaranteed at any Meineke nation wide

Complaint Information:
text-align: left;" valign="top"> [redacted] came to our facility for a Ct emission test on his [redacted]. The Ct Certified Emissions tester drove the vehicle onto the test bay and experienced the clutch slipping. This vehicle is a manual transmission car with a clutch. The required test for this vehicle is an electronic computer interface test and therefore other than driving the car into the test bay and out there is no further driving of the vehicle required to perform this test. Additionally, there is no hill that the car needed to drive up, simply a small standard ramp to the emission test equipment. We perform hundreds of emission tests at this facility every month and our equipment is standard and approved by the CT emissions Program. [redacted] is claiming that somehow the Meineke Emission tester caused damage to the clutch on the vehicle. Although this is an unfortunate circumstance, the car does have over 145,000 miles on it with the original clutch according to [redacted]. At this mileage clutch replacement is not uncommon on any standard transmission equipped vehicle. [redacted]'s assertion that the clutch was damaged at this facility during a very routine test procedure is completely unwarranted and inaccurate. Furthermore, standard transmission clutches generally do not give much indication of wear prior to failure. The clutch disc material does wear over time, and as the clutch disc is completely internal to the transmission assembly, no visual inspection can be made during routine maintenance without extensive dis-assembly of the transmission housing. Additionally, as any clutch disc wears, the material becomes thinner and thinner until it reaches the point when the clutch flywheel will start to slip against the clutch disc material, causing a burning odor and transmission gear slippage. In summary, the vehicle in question was driven into the bay, tested, and driven out of the bay in the proper and professional manner required by both Meineke Car Care and industry service standards. [redacted]'s claim that the clutch was damaged "undoubtedly as a result of the incompetence of Meineke's negligence" is completely unfounded.

[redacted] has spoken with Ms. [redacted].  Ms. [redacted] is buying an engine and [redacted] offered to help her out on the labor.  Ms. [redacted] is going to bring in a deposit and Meineke is going to get started on the install while Ms. [redacted] saves up money.

I wanted to order tickets to a concert at the [redacted] venue for Nov. 19. I went to what I thought was the [redacted] website and bought 2 tickets Section 101 Row 17 at $101.00 each plus service and handling charges for a total of $266.06 which I charged to my credit card. When I downloaded the tickets which came by email, the ticket price for these seats was listed on the email ticket as $42.00 each plus a $7.00 service fee. That was the first time I'd seen that actual ticket price means I was charged $168.06 above the [redacted] venue ticket price. I'm a senior citizen and I do not buy tickets very often and I was totally deceived by the box-officetickets.com website. I called box-office tickets immediately thinking there had been some kind of a mistake and asked for my money back which they refused. I have called by credit card company to stop payment. Box-office tickets is totally deceptive and their margin of profit is outrageous.

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find the resolution is satisfactory to me and exceeded my expectations. You certainly redeemed Highlights Customer Service initial negative impression & I definitely feel valued after all.

We appreciate the further response.
The simple answer is that first, you were advised to change your brake fluid and refused, second, that there is no evidence that there was anything in the fluid, third, that there is no evidence that any purported contamination led to any specific defect and fourth that the alleged defect led to damage.
This person is smearing our company name for no reason. Any mechanic who says "the fluid caused your problem" is telling you nothing. There is no way that any alleged contaminant caused damage. To state conclusions like that one should have evidence of a problem.
We are sorry that your car broke. But we did not cause it and you were told to change the fluid.
