Revdex.com, Meritage Homes warranty team met with our homeowner shortly before this complaint was filedWe agreed to test the floor for moisture readings as well as conduct inspections by the flooring company engineerWhile we can visually confirm a few wood planks may require replacement, complete tear out of the entire floor is not necessary or warrantablePending the availability of all parties involved, we will conduct the necessary inspectionsThe customers concerns regarding the yard had been delayed to due inclement weather; this was explained to our customerTemporary placement of jute and rye seed was completed as a stabilizerIt is our intent to conduct sod repair once the weather improvesRegarding the deed, this is a document that the title company would have initiated at the time the homeowner closed escrowThe builder does not handle this, however, as a courtesy; our team will request a duplicate deed on their behalfWe will update the Revdex.com as soon as we have more information regarding the inspectionsBest regards, Meritage Homes Corporation

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved Regards, [redacted] UPDATED RESPONSE:On June a Customer Care Associate (CCA) from Meritage Homes arrived at my home to talk withmeI was informed that they (meritage Homes) would be sending some “roofers” (repair personnel) to my home to actually inspect the roof and I would hear back once the inspection was completedOn June the CCA informed me that the roofers were set up for Tuesday JuneOn June the CCA informed me that the roofers had completed the inspection and in the CCA words “Theyhave scheduled to come back out to the home tomorrow to make the repairs and this should take care of the issue”On June the roofers informed me of a scheduling problem and that they would arrive on the 12th of June On June at approximately 0955hrs the roofers arrived and made repairs on my roof In summary: Meritage Homes did send a representative to my home and they (Meritage Homes) agreed to send out someone to inspect the roof and after the inspection they made repairs to the home (roof)My concern is their definition of “warrantable”, thecurrent damage falls outside the one year warranty but the home has leaked each year since its purchase I will reserve my final comments until Meritage Homes has provided me feedback and determined the exact damage, cause, and liability for this dispute I am summiting this response today because of the day requirement to respondback to the Revdex.com I hope this is no longer an issue for either of us

Tell us why here Revdex.com,Meritage has gone above and beyond by contracting a third party mold remediation company and following their guidelines to appropriately address their concernsTheir professional results indicate the crawlspace is environmentally sound; the mold spores present were not of concern and were in fact, commonly found in our eco systemMeritage cannot seal a crawlspace from the natural elements of the homes environmentThe crawlspace with its humidity, moisture and access to fresh air may occasionally allow the growth of mold; however the mold present did not exhibit a condition that would damage the complainant’s homeAgain, we respectfully decline his request for monetary compensation

Meritage has been given several opportunities to repair the warrantiesMy husband took three consecutive days off work in December and other days in November and December, and my grandmother has been at the house twice in January for Meritage to repair the warranty itemsEverytime something is overlooked from the provided list of itemsMy husband and I have submitted two warranty claims for the same list that the construction managers wrote down three times: the closing walkthrough, the three week checkup, and a scheduled meeting in January, as well as countless emails and text messagesWe have to work around my grandmother's schedule because we cannot afford to take more time off work We have just received our touchup kit and paperwork that was supposed to be available at closing

In Good Faith, we purchased a home from Meritage Homes Years ago, we contacted Meritage Homes because we noticed large cracks in our ceiling Meritage came out to look at it, and at that point we brought up our high electric bills to the inspector they sent out This was during the warranty period He told us that the ceiling cracks were and he stuck his head up in the attic and said the insulation was okay How can a crack in the ceiling be okay? Anyway, they would not fix that either Since we have been in the home, we have fixed them times and they just keeps on getting bigger This was also about the time that our neighbor Pat Gentman had Meritage out to insulate her attic because there was none up there and her electric bills were so highYes, Meritage said they would fix our insulation problem as a courtesy The work that was done in our home WAS AUTHORIZED by them, per their emails and phone calls, or they wouldn't have sent someone out to cut hole(s) to start the work! They couldn't make up their mind how to do the bathroom, so, they just hung us out to dry They took our bathroom shower apart, and, drilled a hole in the wall in the bedroom as per the pictures we provided with our complaint! And, why should be we have wait almost a year for such work to be done? Once someone starts a job you just can't walk away from it, courtesy or not We want reimbursement We want everyone to know that is considering buying a Meritage Home how they treat their customer's who have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars with them We do not consider this matter closed We expect the Revdex.com to hold arbitration with them

Revdex.com,The solar system is an appliance and as such not warranted by Meritage Homes the builder but rather the manufactureMeritage did inform the complainant that the solar company has filed bankruptcywe further provided all of the information we had regarding the components of his solar system and their respective manufacturers contact information.As a courtesy, Meritage offered and the complainant accepted our offer to address the fresh air component of the systemThis component we believe is the most important function outside of the solar panels themselves that remain covered under the manufacturers warrantyThe solar panels manufacture remains in business and stands behind their productThe conversion process has been completed and the complainant signed off on the work November 2, Our conversion of this part of the system shows our willingness and desire to go above and beyond assisting our customers to maintan their homes fresh air.We are uncertain why this complaint was filed and trust that the Revdex.com will agree that Meritage has made a good faith effort to assist this complainant and as a result, close this complaint in a satisfactory mannerBest regards,Meritage Homes Corporation
