Jason [redacted] was the best he was professional very nice and got the work done. If I very have issues again I will only deal with him. Nice young man.

I called Michael & Son Services to have someone fix the clogged drain in the upper bath tub of my rental property in Springfield, VA. They sent Troy C. (Plumber) in such a short notice, and the issue was fixed right away. I was relieved that it was done immediately, and my renters were very happy, and so did I. Troy C. was very professional, and we were very pleased with the service that was provided.
I kept their number, and will definitely use them again if needed in the future, and will highly recommend their services as well.

We were in need of an electrician and did not want to select one from the "yellow pages". Michael & Son came highly recommended to us. I called at Monday, 8:30 a.m. and by 1:00 p.m. the same day, Joe S[redacted], Master Electrician, was here to perform the work. He immediately knew what had to be done and completed the work in the time-frame he initially indicated. He is very competent, professional and great personality. We will continue to use Michael & Son, especially Joe S[redacted]!

If you need electrical services for your home, I suggest you call Michael & Sons and ask for Gustavo M[redacted]. He is simply the most accommodating, reasonable, and honest electrician I have EVER used. (BTW, I am an architect, so I have dealt with several.) He has done the rewiring in our kitchen, installed attic fans, and installed a desperately needed electrical panel. If you have any issues or questions, however minor, he will ALWAYS respond. My only complaint is that he always calls me "boss". :)

While we still have some additional work that needs to be done, and I don't consider the job finished (no fault of the service technician), Edwin Elias P[redacted] was fantastic. Very polite and professional. He even didn't mind my mother-in-law who hovered around and asked him a lot of questions while he was trying to do his job.
The pre-service communication (email and phone) was very much appreciated. As always, the professional appearance and uniform was a nice touch.

Brian was awesome. I was very happy.

My wife and I purchased a house last July and needed some initial repairs done, but did not have any recommendations for service providers. It looked like Michael & Son was a company that could handle most of our needs so I contacted them started with replacing a toilet upstairs and under sink plumbing in a bathroom. I knew I needed to have my HVAC system inspected and signed up for their Gold Home Care Agreement. As part of the agreement an electrician came out and gave an estimate to update all of my electrical systems and HVAC technician came to look at the unit and do some small repairs and make suggestions on upgrades. Eventually I got them to quote replacing a hot water heater, but the price was so high I ended up getting other quotes. Overall, I'm not going to go into detail on those projects, but I do want everyone to know that when you work with this company, they will always be the most expensive option. Initially I was okay paying a premium if I was always going to be taken care of, then this happened.
April 22nd of this year, my outdoor AC unit started shaking and making a loud noise so I called in had a technician scheduled to come out. When he came out he said the motor was about to go so he replaced it and the fan - all covered under the Gold Plan, great. Then Friday evening, June 24th, my outdoor unit completely stopped working. I called in to Michael & Son to get a technician out, it was around 7:15pm, and the representative answered and took my information but unfortunately my Gold plan had expired 3 days ago...Okay, at this point it’s 90 degrees outside and I just want someone to come fix the issue...According to the rep it didnt matter that the Gold Plan had expired because they wouldn’t have any technicians available until Monday. So I just hung up, never got a call back, or any type of follow up.
I found C[redacted] C[redacted] Heating and Air online, filled out their form for Emergency Service and the owner came out first thing the next morning. He took a look at the unit, found out that the motor was wired incorrectly and was completely burnt out, along with the fan blade being bent causing the unit to be unbalanced. He replaced the motor, the fan, and added refrigerant and the house was back to normal. Note, that this was an emergency call on a Saturday morning so there was an afterhours fee, along with parts, etc to get everything fixed – Total: $585. All because the Michael & Sons technician installed the replacement that was put in 2 months prior incorrectly. The good news is, under C[redacted] C[redacted] Heating & Air, there is now a 1 year parts and labor warranty. With Michael & Sons you get a full 30 days!
So, we get through the weekend, I call in and get ahold of the HVAC Manager on June 27, discuss with him and send him the documentation he requests, and he says he’ll get back with me. I follow up with him via email on June 30 & July 5, and then July 11 by phone & email but never get any responses. That is where everything has ended up with this; no response, no follow up, no customer service.
“Michael & Sons will always be the most expensive, but they will always have someone there when you need them,” that’s what another plumber who quoted the hot water heater replacement told me.
That wasn’t the case with me. They were always the most expensive – I cant upload a pdf for proof but when compared; the prices $536 for a fan blade from Michael & Son to the $40 from C[redacted] and $920 for a motor, compared to $190 – how is that even possible? More importantly, they were not there when my AC went out in the middle of summer and they are not willing to own up to the mistake they made that caused it to go out in the first place.
I would not recommend this company to anyone, they will cost you more money up front and in the long run.

My two furnaces were inspected by N[redacted] M. N[redacted] was courteous, pleasant, knowledgeable, and very diligent and hardworking even though it was late on Friday evening. He took great care to thoroughly explain all of the details of the furnaces so that I could understand how they work, and how they are inspected. Now I feel confident about heating my house for the winter.

The master electrician who came to my house figured out the problem immediately and fixed it promptly. Good thing I called a professional, the "mystery electrical box" had a live wire inside!

Matt G. performed the fall service on our HVAC. As always, he was prompt, courteous, thorough and very knowledgable. I highly would recommend Michael & Son and Matt to anyone requiring HVAC service & support.

The phone staff at Michael and Son is always courteous, taking the time to understand what I need and making appointments that fit my schedule. The technicians scheduled to do the work are always within their promised time slot and spend the time to explain everything to me before doing the work. I recently had plumbing work done by Mike K and was very pleased with his work. While making the repairs, he suggested additional work be done, requiring a digging crew and called in Wylace I. Wylace came promptly, checked out everything and discussed his plan for the work that needed to be done. We went over the procedure, the cost, and time period required to complete. I look forward to the work being done and know I will feel secure in its completion.

I had a very positive experience and excellent with the service provided by MIchael & Sons electrical technician who performed a review/examination of the electrical system in my house. The electricial technician should be commended and rewarded for being such an excellent representative for Michael & Sons.

There was clearly miscommunication from Michael & Sons DC office to the [redacted] one because, as I discussed with Vance, I never received any phone calls from Michael F[redacted] - which explained why I was never hearing from Vance.
The carpet company did clean the carpets twice, but two issues (1) Michael said that if I wasn't satisfied, they would replace the damaged carpeting, and (2) The company that did the ceiling repairs for me told me that the carpet would never be the same despite the cleaning. He said they specialized in flooring and I would forever be vaccuming up particles over time.

I certainly made a good choice to call on Michael & Son Services for a plumbing replacement. The Plumber (David W.) was very efficient, personable, knowledgeable in this field. I could not have had any better service!!! He certainly should be recognized as a great representative of the company!! When I need to call for their services again, I will certainly ask for David W..
