I am rejecting this response because:I spent one entire day loading my personal programsIt should have been made clear at the time I purchased the unit that the disk containing windows was a boot disk not an upgrade disk as had been sent out by microsoftI want $to have a tech in my area upgrade my systemInstead of me spending another day reistalling all my programs to a clean boot driveOr a guarentee that they can intalled all my programs to a windows installation at no charge to meThe tech I originally spoke to related that they would NOT make the situation right Regards, [redacted]

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID I did receive a telephone call from Oscar L.; however, he never shared with me the purpose of the call, as I immediately asked him to email any correspondence to me, as I wanted a record of all dialog between myself and the business moving forwardNo email was ever received from Oscar L., the Home Office, or the Retail Store explaining they would replace the motherboard they damaged, free of chargeI accept the business's resolution with the following conditions:1) The replacement motherboard meets the same specifications as the one they damaged2) The motherboard is warrantied with the same warranty provided by the business for other motherboard installations3) The Mac will be released to a third Party when work is completed and balance of $is paid [redacted] (wife))

A manager has attempted to reach this customer via phone and left a messageThe manager will attempt to call the customer again to provide a resolution

A manager from Micro Center contacted the customer and is sending him a new kit

The customer does have a manufacturer's warranty which will cover the cost of her repairs. She is welcome to have it repaired under manufacturer's warranty through the manufacturer herself. Micro Center is also an authorized service provider for this manufacturer so we are happy to do the repair for... her under manufacturer's warranty as well. The customer did not purchase a warranty through Micro Center to get a buyout on their unit.

I apologize for the troubleIt sounds like it may not have been explained why it is best to check this inThe battery not charging would be a manufacturer’s defectBy checking the tablet in, they may be able to get the tablet repaired or replaced under the manufacturer’s year warranty which would allow you to continue to have your year Accidental Service Plan in case any accidents occur for you in the future while the plan remains activeFor a buyout under your accidental damage plan to occur, you would have to check the unit in and the tablet would have to be determined that it is damaged beyond economical repair (the cost of repair exceeds the value of the product) I hope this explanation helpsPlease let me know if I can be of any further assistance

Micro Center Corporate office has tried twice to reach the customer via phone and left voicemails with a return call number to Kelly in Corporate Customer RelationsPlease have the customer reach Kelly on Monday if they have not yet received their credit

If the customer would like to take the tablet to the store so that it can be examined and it is determined it is a hardware issue or defective, then the store manager will return the product for a gift card for the value of the tablet. Please let us know if this is something you could do. Thank you.

Jeff W., the store manager, and Chris D., the service center manager, went above and beyond to resolve the issue. I wanted to thank them for all their help.

The manager of the store is voiding the gift card and will credit back to the customer's Amex card

Hello,PAY ATTENTION I ONLY GAVE Kirk permission to do the TESTS and to try and get it out of the LOOPI NEVER told him to put WINDOWS BUILD on my computer it was not a compatible version that is the ONLY reason it needed to have more work done to itKirk set a restore point for Feb IT WAS NOT THERE BEFOREWhen I got the computer from them he said he could not get it out of the loopHE USED THAT RESTORE POINT AND IT WORKED He then decided to put on Windows Build according the man who answered the phone when I complained he said that was STORE POLICY that if a computer came to them with an unsupported Version of Windows they automatically put the next supported version HE DID NOT HAVE MY PERMISSION TO DO THATHE COPIED MY FILES AND PUT THEM BACK ON THE HARD DRIVE and when he could not activate the Windows he LIED and said he could not get it out of the loopHad he done the correct thing which was STOP after he got it out of the loopMy computer would have CORRECTLY UPDATED the next time.I called Dell to ask what version of Windows I had he said, " Windows HOME EDITION from Dell Factory installed" He then told me that the version they put on would NEVER work on a Dell.NOW I am having problems because the software he used there was Office and it needs a product key MY FRIEND WHO IS A HIGHER LEVEL tech tried to install it with one he his product keys but the software is defectiveNOW I made all my files READ ONLY I then tried to put in my Office since I do have the product keyNOW I get error messages saying there is something wrong with word I am able to edit and print.My monitor is not being picked up by the software correctly I showed you the error message I getMy PhotoImpact no longer works so they must replace Windows Office and get me the software to edit the picturesThe monitor needs to be replacedI had to buy the original DVD for my computer and my Tech friend installed it my Office files were not damaged, my pictures were ok tooWE LOST ALL THE browsers, AOL my info on filezilla was lost/ The browser ALL MY GAMES, I had to reinstall Office,, AOL, some games did not workThe Only way I got my computer back from Kirk with Windows Build and with all my files and software I originally had was by HIM COPING THE HARD DRIVE and REINSTALLING THE FILES AFTER Did you talk to the person I told you to talk to? Customer brought her computer in for data backup on November 6th for a data backup.Computer was damaged when customer brought in on November 6th per the Attached repair order: RP- CONDITION: One missing screw on bottomThere is minimal marks/scratches to the casingsThe left side is coming apart a little bitCustomer was also given discounts amounting to $for customer satisfactionCustomer returned to the store with the computer to have the optical drive repaired on November 8th, under RPAgain the Condition of the laptop was documented - CONDITION: One screw missing on the bottom, left side coming apart, damage on back left hinge, right hinge, dc jack, top and bottom case, trackpad performed poorly, and crack on the optical driveCustomer was given $in parts for free for customer satisfactionCustomer then brought their unit back in December 26th, stating when they picked it up from their previous repair on December 19th, that the computer was infected with virusesViruses are not covered by MicroCenter or any warranty as it would depend on what the user was using the computer forFor Customer Satisfaction though, Micro Center provided the customer with a $SSD free of charge as well as 50% off AntiVirus software = $in discounts for customer satisfactionCustomer then checked in their unit on February 29th for the damaged Hinge which was documented in the customer's first repair back in NovemberThe parts are unavailable for this customer's computer so we are unable to fixMicro Center at no time dropped the customers computerMicro Center has given customer $in discounts and free servicePlease see attached repair orders for all documentationMicro Center recommends the customer look into purchasing a new unit

I recently wrote a complaint against micro center Madison heights mi..regarding my laptop computer repair..they called me and gave me a replacement for my laptop comp..I'm writing this letter to say thank you very much to Revdex.com specially to your staff who took their time helping me to resolve this matter..my complaint is resolved...again thank you very much Revdex.com

We are happy to have the customer check the unit in for service and leave it at the store for them to run a proper diagnostic
