I was a tenant at Caveness for about months Upon moving into the apartment we notice knats, so we reported it to the front desk to get it taken care of We called the office about times before we used an insect bomb and did it ourselves When we called about it the third time the response was "yeah this is happening in all the apartments"
While living at the apartment my son, boyfriend and myself were continually getting sick, with cold like symptoms and my son's asthma was getting bad so we decided to check the vent The apartment hadn't changed the vents, they were black When we called we were told they are changed each month, so again we did it ourselves

They actually talk about tenants private information with other tenants regarding other tenants evictions and unpaid rentThey have lost pertinent information for some such as their lease ending date and their computers are never accurateThese apartments use to be nice I heard but now the management has completely mismanaged and maintenance is very hard to get due to their unprofessional tacticsThese apartments are roach infested, All of them and termite infected and when I move I literally like so many others that move will have to disgard my furniture so I don't carry an infestation to a new dwellingWhen asked about pest control they state they are looking for a new vendor but still use the same ones who are not very inclined to track and cease the infestation! The management will never have the office open on time always min to an hour late and even have had prospective tenants come to a locked office that should be openThey close the office during the day continuously for hours and then open it to close it minutes later for lunch for another 11/2! They are aware and have received complaints on tenants that participate in distribution of drugs but since they are very close with this tenant , nothing has been done! These apartments might have hope for the future but a complete management overhaul is really needed, the public housing programs apartment complexes are becoming more favorable than these just due to mismanagementYou all are losing good tenants that pay accordingly and only want standard maintenance and uninfested apartment homes to live in!! Please make these apartments worth living in before I break my lease and move like everyone else!! They hired one new person and are quickly training her to be as unprofessional as they are meaning Kirsten and Kotura, please get new management!!

STAY AWAY from KENSINGTON STATION APARTMENTS....Property manager DIANA is the true definition of evil...I have lived at other properties and have family and friends that currently live at properties under milestone and have never experienced what I am currently going through at KENSINGTON STATION....they are all considering looking for apts under different management companies due to the horrible treatment to a tennant that lives and values his home...DIANA is nasty rude and mean dont even speak to you if you come into the office ...she acts as if she owns the place ...do not move in these apartments if you want to be gauged as a tennant and treated like a piece of ***...I did nothing to this lady to get the type of treatment that I have recieved...also be careful of krista the sales rep she smiles in your face and decives extra charges that arw

I have had bats in my apartment, hot water heating leaking, lighting fixtures blowing out I could have been hurt, ants in my apartment since I moved in (never complained I took this upon myself to get the ants handled) drug dealing, smoking weed in front of my apartment so bad the weed smell was in my clothes (the office told me they couldn't do anything), noise level horrible and maintenance employees that come in your apartment lurking around (caught one of them twice in my apartment looking around) and mind you the office claimed they could do NOTHING about any of these issues
So now I have to scramble around to get money that I wouldn't have needed if they had of tried to help me
After this lease is up I will NEVER live in this place again

the company took advantage of myself and another young adult by allowing non English speaking, reading, writing, Ukrainian orphans new to the USA to sign a lease written in English without a translator
the company violated its own rules put in place to prevent this very thing and knowingly rented an apartment to vulnerable individuals who did not provide the income verification required by this company's own rules

1.when we moved into a first floor bedroom apartmentthe carpet was FULL of dog hair...I mean A TON of dog hair all along the base boards and deep in the carpetThis was after they had "cleaned" the carpet, so imagine how much hair Im' talking aboutI have allergies to dog hair and I was literally vacuuming up dog hair for weeks and suffering with allergies for the first weeks living thereApparently the previous tenant had large dogs and they didn't think they should replace the carpet that already had seems coming out in the dinning room area and near the patio doorIs this not why people pay pet deposits?
We had a serious mold issue in our first floor bedroom apartmentThis goes beyond the mold that accumulates on the windows because of condensation and horrible windows, but rather this was a structural issue where moisture was coming in through the walls of my master bedroom behind my bed and dresser in my closet, and in behind a sitting and nightstandsI had an Ikea bed frame with the build in drawers to I couldn't see under my bed, and found out when we were moving out that there were thousands of colonies of mold growing on the underside of our bed drawers and on the carpet and on the wall behind the bed, underneath our nightstands, and pretty much anywhere that was a exterior wallBelieve it or not, none of this mold grew near the windowsI have pretty bad mold allergies and made sure that these windows were clean and paid attention to any leaksSo, after being sick on and off throughout the winter and having no idea...turns out there was mold growing like crazyIn fact it went all the way onto the wood in my box-springs and all of that had to be thrown outAfter showing the maintenance guy what happened on the walls it was stated that it was probably from the vegetation outside that was too close to the buildingEither way, this was structural and their responsibility to make sure their building and vegetation was taken care ofLong story short, they did not take responsibility, gave me the run around through their claims department (never actually was contacted by management for any apologies or sympathies) only to have them tell me how much they weren't liable and then decide to settle for Umm...I have a kind size bed....that is not going to even come close to replacing everything I lostSomething is better than nothing though so I guess that is the one positive out of this
When we moved out we apparently were charged over dollars for water and sewage and a bunch of damagesMind you, we had put a dollar non-refundable deposit to take care of damages, and the only thing that we actually damaged was a few blinds because my kids could not keep their hands off of themOur carpet wasn't that bad, and if it had to be replaced because of the mold issue then that had nothing to do with us as tenants and there was no way to know that was happening with it being underneath and behind our large furnitureSo, now Im getting collections calls and my credit score is being messed up because of thisOh, I forgot to say this....they gave me NO NOTICE at all about any of these chargesLet me tell you, I am a person who makes sure that all the bills are paid and on time and every debt I owe is settledAll my rent was on time, and early, and I keep in communication with the office about what I may owe and the proceduresSo before I moved out and even a few days after I moved out, I checked my portal and made a payment for the water we owed on 2/and whatever little bit we owed out side of that (i have proof on my bank statements)Outside of that, I received no notices, no calls, no emails, NOTHING, until a few days ago where a collections company is calling meI got one letter in the mail from them saying that I had a balance and if it wasnt paid withing days of move out it would go to collections saying to refer to the attached bill (there was none) and it was dated for 2/8/and that I got in the mail 3/4/I called them as soon as I got that...got the machine...left a messageCalled again a few days latter, and recently sent an email....NO RESPONSE on all attemptsSo, it's obvious that they had my contact information...why was nothing sent to me? Why did I get no response back form ANYONE! Their management of this property has been horrible
