On Saturday April 28th I was on my patio for aprox mins working on planting flowers when I felt a drip of something on my shoulderIt was blood After looking up and inspecting my patio it was evident that blood was leaking from the tenants coolers above meThe blood dripped upon my dogs bed, my patio furniture, my patios curtain and pooled on the cement I took pictures of the blood on the wood beams, my furniture and on the cement and went down to the property's office I should the office assistant the pictures and she agreed that it was blood and would contact the tenants above, which she did She later confirmed in an email (which I have) that it was blood from a turkey that was leaking from a cooler and assured me that it would be cleaned up on MondayIt wasn't I was told that Monday evening that it would be cleaned Tuesday, it wasn't I went to the office Tuesday evening and insisted that the bio hazard be cleaned up today Wednesday May 2nd in the am It hasn't

Unhealthy living environments, mistreatment in management office
We have had roach issues since day one, they want us give them weeks but I believe it wont get betterlast night 5/I saw THREE live roaches outside my patio by their BBQ grillWe have had numerous roaches inside of our unit which is unhealthy, disgusting, and a detriment to our healthWe got a Veterinarian letter for our SERVICE DOG and they still wont do anything to help, the pest control BURNS came out and told Tadd (assistant manager) and *** *** that the spray is to toxic for animals (such as our dog) and when they spray one unit the pests will run to anotherThe pest control guy did not want to spray or treat our unit because they did not want to be responsible if anything happened to our dog
Rich the property manager verbally abused *** *** Saying " Trust me I want you gone...I dont want to deal with you guys at this community" then he goes on saying "you guys are in here every sund

I am unhappy with my living arrangement with this complexThere are too many neglects and needed repairs for the price they are trying to charge
I am overall unhappy and unsatisfied with the living agreement between myself and Silverado aptssince the day I moved in it has been one thing after the otherThe sales woman who handled my application was new and didn't receive the assistance she needed to help me properly complete my moveI am a single mother of young kidsI work extremely hard for themI get very little help and the added stress with this apartment complex has driven me back into depression and a serious emotional imbalanceI am in the works with a new job, children are in school and day careEtcbut at this point with the current and past issues and with the dollar amount that this unit is going for is absurdIt's nothing like the one they showed me and I have even had the maintenance man cut and leave his private hairs on my bathroom counter and nothing wa

do not move in here when we first moved in we paid more money to have an upgraded unitthey told us because of the 1" blinds that where old and dirty was part of the upgradealso we had upgraded faucets witch where also old and in one bathroom the faucets had two hot handles then the cabinets where just painted and that was are upgrade an extra $month for this that's a ripoff when we asked about it they where very rude and said there is nothing they can do about itthe previous person who rented are apartment where evicted and they flooded the whole apartmentthey left an eviction notice on are door when we where living there the persons rent was $less so they did not upgrade us at all they where just covering there expenses they had to make from the damage the person did before usthe parking is horrible good luck getting a space next to your apartment because its impossible I have to park at the other end of the complex and sometimes in the streetevery time we have a complaint nothing gets done and the people in the office say there is nothing they can do and they blame it on Milestone Management who owns and runs the apartmentsso don't rent here or from any apartment that is ran by Milestone Management
watch out for roaches to are door has an 1" crack at the top and roaches spiders and bugs get in all the timeThis is by far the worst apartment I have ever lived inwould not recommend even to someone who I didn't like

I was charged late fees at my hidden creek apartments due to the online site being down and I was not given proper notice
My hidden creek apartments charged me late fee on my rent Despite their online site being downThey didn't give any notice of this until the 3rd when they extended business hours for hours to 7pm and sent the email at 2:23pmOn the first and second I sent two service requests and I called and left a voicemail asking why I couldn't pay onlineNone were returnedAs well I request off work early on Friday just to pay rent and I was told they wouldn't accept my personal checkEven though they sent an email stating they wouldThey would only accept money order or cashiers checkTherefore there was no free form of paymentAs well there office hours were in direct conflict with my work schedule and they do not have a drop box for payment!

The maintenance staff entered my apartment with a replacement refrigerator and it was filled with roaches and my home is now infested
The maintenance staff entered my apartment with a replacement refrigerator and that is when the problems derivedThe replacement refrigerator was filled with pest as in cockroachesWhen I arrived home from work Friday evening I went to the kitchen to check and see if the refrigerator had indeed been replaced and I noticed a bug crawling on the refrigerator, at first, I thought nothing of it; I killed it thinking it was a one time occurrence and that is when I noticed several more bugs on and around the perimeter of the replacement refrigeratorMy thoughts were "what is going on, and where are these bugs coming from, I have never had an issue with bugs." I then opened the refrigerator and saw not one, not two, but three dead roaches inside of the refrigerator where I am expected to keep foodAt this point I was extremely disgusted! To add insult to

Management removed my inability to pay online by cc to force an eviction in my days because I pay part online and part by money order something
When I moved into the property I signed up to pay via the residents portalI have always had access to pay online However, due tome providing management with a notice that I would be moving out in June at the end of my lease term due to ongoing, conflict, lack of professionalism, and pettiness onthe behalf of the amanager and assistant managerI noticed in November when I attempted to make a payment access was deniedI requested to reset the password *** it somehow let me inIn December 7th I received a notice to pay by December from Jackie *** and I tried to pay again like I yied on Dec 3rd it said I could not pay online anymoreI go to the office and speak to Mrs *** shr said corporate took away my access to pay because I was not paying my rent in full I explained to her that sometimes I pay part by credit card and part by

I was wrongfully charged and had a bill sent to collections after paying the required fees for breaking my lease
In February of 2014, my husband and I moved into the *** off of Central Drive in BedfordFrom day one of moving in, there were numerous issuesWe were moved into a completely different apartment than what we were told we would be moving intoNormally, that would not be an issue, but the apartment that we were put in was not move in ready and had countless problemsTo name a few...most of the baseboards were either rotted or missing, there was a missing closet door, missing towel rack, rotting wood on the patio, stains on carpets and walls, etcI took pictures of all these things and sent them to Danyelle, the person who put us in our apartmentI kept getting told that the problems would be taken care of, but it took multiple emails from me to finally get maintenance out to my apartment (weeks after moving in) and when they finally came out, a

The management at the leasing office has refused to attempt any other resolution other than forcing me to stay in my apartment and pay about $
When I was within days of the end of my lease I received a phone call from the leasing office inquiring as to whether or not I would be extending my stay with themI informed the lady that I was in the process of building a house, so I would not be staying past the end of my lease termShe congratulated me on my purchase and wished me luck, but never mentioned that the verbal notification I had just given her would not be sufficient to allow me to leave on June 23rd when my lease was endingLater that day I received an email that said "you may send notifications to this email" from the apartment complex and thought nothing of itOn May 25th I received a notice in the mail with the rent amount for the upcoming month, so I sent an email as a formal notice and reminder of my intentions to leave at the end of my lease, fearing the ball

The apartment complex office has made multiple mistakes without being able to explain what happened and has refused to compensate us for any expenses
We were told that our move in date, 07/18/16, was delayed when we came to pick up the keys and that someone was suppose to call usThey then refused to compensate us for the nights that we had to stay in a hotelThen we moved in to an apartment infested with bed bugsWhen we set up a date to have treatment done, we were told to have our apartment ready by Monday, 08/29/When the day arrived, we had prepared our apartment, but no one ever showed up for treatmentWhen we asked them why no one came, they told us that they cancelled our appointment because they thought we weren't readyThey never asked us if we were or notThey now are telling us that they don't know what happened to the first appointmentThen when another appointment was made, we were unable to do it at that particular timeWe called the office several times t

Will charge for wear-and-tear maintenance, very
loud plumbing issues, multiple domestic-disturbance calls resulting in police patrols, and office staff is a revolving doorBrush up on your rights as tenet before considering a lease here

The management and office staff at this facility are by far some of the most untrustworthy and conniving individuals that I have ever had the displeasure of engaging withDo not rent from them, for your own sakeFind anywhere else to live

Milestone Mgmt (MM) pirchased "The Myrtles", a clean and safe apartment complex in Portsmouth VA, situated outside a US Naval Hospital (which employs a mix of active-duty Service Members (SMs), civilian, and contract personnel from all over the world)The location is a gold mine for any smart business owner - a ready-made treasure trove of potential customers within a stone's throw, who have regular paychecks, and are (or were) looking for convenient, safe, clean apartments while stationed at the Naval Hospital
Until MM bought The Myrtles, that isThe quality of services offered was A+ before MM arrivedNow it's rapidly becoming a dump
During the hottest April on record in tropical Portsmouth, we had no AC for over one monthIt was unbearableMM did nothingTheir usual excuse : "we are waiting for a part, nothing we can do."
Toilet not working? MM locked the only public bathroom in the building (in the "Business Lounge" which is only open to Residents, and WAS a convenient amenity for people to enjoy) Result? Resident buys their own 'snake' and unclogs the toilet once a dayWater pressure ? Hardly any
The Myrtles are supposed to be locked bldgs, which residents are happy to pay good money for - until Milestone arrived a couple years agoNow the front doors are "jimmied" open and Management says we'll fix itMonths go
byMM does not seem to care about our safetyIt no longer feels like the lovely, safe well-maintained complex it once was
The parking lots were FINALLY lit again, but only after daily complaints by residents about hazards posed by walking from our cars to the building, in almost total darkness! There are retirees living here, a nice mix of age groupsPet-friendly buildings are not so safe if you can't SEE where you are steppingMM finally replaced about lantern lights so it's betterStill not great
The poor Office staff can't do muchTheir hands are tied by "Corporate" whatever that meansSlumlords, that's what Corporate means to the long-suffering folks who have loved living here - until Milestone bought the place
Final comment: "Penny wise and Pound foolish" sums it upThey seem so blinded by profit motive, that they don't see what a gold mine they have here As we write this, Oct 2017, we are going on weeks without Cable service - the least of our worries - just another example of the dunderheaded business practice of Milestone NON-ManagementWhat a shameWhen we moved in, Cable was included in the rent, including HBO channelsThose simply disappeared months agoMM blamed the Cable Company
Signed,
A civil servant and resident (for now)

The Verandahs of Milestone Management spray painted over black mold
I found mold in my unit and immediately reported it to my rental officeThey sent someone in the same day to look around and the next day he came to 'seal' my window and proceeded to spray paint over my window sealThere is mold present in every closetI had to wait for a county inspector to come a week after the spray painting incidentHe verified the presence of mold and the complex denied his request to replace my unitDuring the week of waiting on the county inspector, mold continued to grow on more surfaces of my furniture and clothingThey failed to make an appointment with a contractor to adequately address the mold and source of moistureThere's now a leak in my laundry room and the water patch has been present since maintenance and an administrator entered my apartment for the first service requestTheir solution was to bring a huge dehumidifier
