Been with State Farm for yearsI never have been so disappointed wouldn't recommend them to anyone!!! I recently moved to Oklahoma and Changed cars After getting quotes from State Farm on how much insurance would be, I decided to switch insurance Unbeknownst to me, State Farm transferred my insurance from my previous car (a Toyota Camry) to my new car (a Buick LaCross) When I called to cancel my insurance I was at no point notified that what I needed to cancel was not the insurance on the Camry--which was not even in effect--but the insurance on the Buick, which had gone into effect without my knowledge Nor was I notified of this when I sent in written confirmation
When State farm then proceeded to charge me $246.76, I called to find out what had happened They told me I'd cancelled the wrong service, but that they would offer a refund I was told the money would be back in my account in 3-business days I called a week later when I had not received my refund They were of no help

My sister in law passed away in June In order to keep her insurance up to date we had to continue to pay Once we cancelled in Delaware and transferred to pa they sent a refund check in my sister in laws name I asked for them to reissue the check and they say there is nothing they can do They had no problem taking a payment on my sister in laws account in another name but now can't do anything for us

I would never recommend State Farm I've had homeowner's insurance with them for over years Suddenly, they dropped me Why? With the wildfires in California (none of which are near me) they think my home is now too much of a risk - even though the conditions haven't changed since they issued me the policy I have faithfully paid premiums for over a decade, but now I'm not worth it - at the thought they might have to fulfill their end of the deal, I guess? This may be standard practice among insurance companies, but I'm sure there are some that place some value on their customers If you choose to do business with State Farm, beware
