I wouldn't even give 1 star-Mr Cooper is not working with its customers during this unprecedented time. All they are offering is forbearance and then they will "modify" the loan if you aren't able to make the lump sum payment at the end of the forbearance. While other companies are allowing deferments and working with their customers, Mr Cooper will report you to creditors when you can't pay the full amount at the end. This is not right. The more I read about this company, the worse it sounds.

Doesnt help ppl when in a crisis like now covid 19

Their forbearance plan is a scam. They will defer your payments to be paid back in one lump sum or over time at an undisclosed interest rate.. huh?? I had the guy read it to me three times as he was mumbling the fine print. Then it came in writing 5 days later and stated that they will report you as delinquent to all credit reporting agencies. Mr. Cooper. You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to profit off of desperate people during a major crisis. Shame on you!

Helping customers due to covid-19 but after 3 months or whatever the pandemic ends you will have to pay it in full. Where's the help? Doesn't make sense!!!! Time to refinance from other lender.

Horrible mortgage company! they are not willing to help their customers in this time of crisis. All they are offering is some forbearance offer to pause your payments for 3 months only to have it all paid back at the end of the 3 months. And, this will show on credit report as late and destroy your credit! Wow Mr. Cooper, this is what you think is being concerned about your customers! Something has to be done about this! Beyond outraged!!

Worthless!! Their answer for the covid-19 outbreak is forbearance. That basically means that they will let you not pay for three months but at the end all payments are due at once. How exactly is that helping people who have lost their income. If I cannot pay now, what makes them think that I will be able to come up with three months mortgage all at once? The best part about it is that they posted a letter online responding to the covid-19 crisis bragging about being one of the top three mortgage companies in the nation, but yet they can't defer payments because they must continue to pay their lenders? What a crock! Meanwhile, other smaller banks have no problem deferring payments for three months. Sounds like a load of B.S. from a very greedy company. I will be looking to refinance immediately. If you wind up with this company, refinance immediately!!!

Pathetic customer service, no one answers the phone and website has no way to email customer service. it's almost like they don't want to hear it. I've been trying for the past 3 days to talk to someone about my employment situation due to the Coronavirus pandemic with no avail. First day was on hold for 1 hour and 15 minutes, finally gave up and left a call back number and no call. Second day was on hold for 1 hour and 36 minutes, again no answer, third day 2 and a half hours waiting for someone to answer the " freankin" phone and nothing. Never in my life have I ever dealt with a more incompetent organization. It's a real shame that these people are allowed to mess with people lives. Not sure what's going to happen because I've been laid off and won't be able to make Aprils payment. Unfortunately Mr.Cooper won't know because they don't answer their phone. Dealing with this company has been a real disaster.

Mr. Cooper is a mortgage company with no scruples or integrity.

Mr. Cooper is apparently the only major mortgage company that couldn't care less about its customers, beyond squeezing every cent they can from them. The other companies are granting forbearances that suspend payments to the end of the contract. The Mr. Cooper rep told me the best they could do is skip two payments BUT the full amount would be due the third month. I'm laid off indefinitely due to the virus. So, getting two $2,000 payments skipped just so I'm charged $6,000 the third month? The rep tried to tell me the other companies' plans were a "scam." That's total hogwash because I got a forbearance from B of A on another mortgage and know people who've had the same with other companies. Mr. Cooper is the only one so greedy that they'll foreclose on its customers during a national crisis.

COVID 19 Help in Washington State!!
Our family has been impacted by the covid 19 situation. We reached out to our mortgage company Mr. Cooper like instructed to do from the news and the mortgage company says they've pulled there programs and they are not offering help. We have a FHA loan and asked about a forbearance. They said they are not offering any programs like that. I'm hoping I'm In the right place to file a complaint against the company. Hopefully WA state will make a mandatory mortgage relief because business are not going to help unless they are made to.

ive been on hold for over 3 hrs now over the coronavirus hardship mr cooper is terrible

Our escrow account has been completely mismanaged. They have not paid our taxes even though we have them impounded and now they are very late. Phone call after phone call made all to be told Loretta is working on it and they will get back to us in 7 days. This has been going on since our loan was sold to them last fall. What a NIGHTMARE!!!

Get away from this company. Mr Cooper has so far been unable to process my IRRL refinance, to the point where Mr Cooper said they were unable to extend my rate lock due to Mr Coopers inability to provide required paperwork to USAA in the subordination of my home equity line of credit. FYI IRRL refinance is for Veterans, thanks for your poor service Mr Cooper.

Watch out because Mr. Cooper shares it's customers information with solicitors to market them. Now I have an overabundance of junk mail and phone calls from solicitors.

Please donot refinance with mr.cooper. I started the refinance process in January, and I sent in all document and they kept saying I need more document. Then my loan processor Deborah *** was so unprofessional and when I try to call her she ignore my calls and emails. Then February came no information, then in March they told me after call and emailing several time they closed my account and they didnot tell me till I call the loan officer and he picked the phone up and was in shock that it was me. And then he told me. And they try to blame me. Please donot waste your time

I made my February payment and somehow they deleted it when I talked to customer service. This is going to affect my credit score and they are doing nothing about it!!!!!! I am so upset that I will now have a late payment and they will not remove it.

Mr. Cooper and Nationstar have been trouble for me ever since USAA assigned them to be my mortgage servicer, as Nationstar ignored my flood insurance payment with USAA ($391) and withdrew $974 from my escrow account. I informed USAA about the withdrawal by Nationstar, and the money was refunded to my escrow account. Since that time, Nationstar has made every effort to have me pay the refunded money back to them, even including it in my monthly mortgage. Mr. Cooper and Nationstar are #1 ripoffs.

My husband past away, and I could not make my monthly payments without borrowing money, and using credit cards. Thus, I applied for loan modification through the servicer, Mr. Cooper/Nationstar. The loan modification application was denied. Reason being, "I was not pay enough money as it was.

Don't do it! Had a refinance set to close after 4 months of mistake after mistake. At first they were covering all the added costs but then I think they were starting to lose money due to all the credits they had to put on the loan. Had a closing date and cashiers check in hand. They couldn't get the paperwork done. Had to make late payment on existing mortgage. Set another closing date that did not happen. Tried to set a third date. At that point they would not take my calls. I had to pay for the cashiers check and a late payment on my mortgage. No reason given for not returning calls. Instead of giving an update on what was happening they just wanted us to have them stop the process so they would not lose money on the loan. Very sad. HUGE waste of our time. ð??¡

Gross mismanagement of escrow. Mr Cooper paid my hazard insurance twice in one year, then claimed escrow shortage. I had to pay $1700 out of pocket, then had my escrow forecast raised increasing my monthly mortgage payment over $150! Tried to rectify their error and they conceded the mistake, but said they would not adjust the escrow forecast. In fact they just told me the only way to fix it was to get a refinance loan through them:( I have had my mortgage for over 10 years and only with Mr. Cooper have I seen these poor business practices.

I am a LONG time USAA member who's mortgage was sold to NationStar shortly after I acquired it last year. If I had know my mortgage was to be sold to NationStar, I never would have used the USAA mortgage service. The customer service has been horrible. My most recent issue: I do NOT had an escrow mortgage for any reason, not my property tax and not my insurance, but NationStar took it upon themselves to pay THIS YEARS taxes because some unknown man CALLED and told them I was delinquent. I wasn't delinquent and when they investigated, after already sending the money for my property taxes to my county, they acknowledged that my taxes were CURRENT when they made the payment in early Fed 2020, and that they were going off what some man CALLED and told them. They received NOTHING in writing to say my account was delinquent (it wasn't). Mind you, they never called the delinquent tax office, which consists of one WOMAN, to verify what this man called and told them. NationStar took the word of some mystery man, paid my taxes Feb 4, 2020 that were due Feb 14, 2020, and has now decided my account must be an escrow account. I will be moving mortgage companies ASAP and likely pulling ALL my accounts from USAA. This is unacceptable from both companies.
