I was trying to refinance my mortgage with them, but their rates were 1.5% higher than other places. Now I am doing business with another banking system, but Nationstar web site has been down over 24hrs. I contacted them which took about 45min on hold and was not given any info except that they are having technical issues. I called back 3hrs later only to find they have turned off the phones. I am unable to get my mortgage statement which I need for another banking company.

This has happened before and was handled the same way. I bet if you were late on a payment their systems would be working to handle that, I assume since I have never been late. I hope the new lending company does not sell my new mortgage to them.

Also the messaging system says they are a debt collection company which I feel this is uncalled fore and I feel put off by this. I never let anything go to a debt company. They should have a different line for the collection and outstanding accounts should be handled differently.

I cannot in good conscience recommend this company and would of given them no stars if possible

I have had NOTHING but trouble with Mr. Cooper. The customer service is horrible. I have had problems since July where they keep "losing" my mortgage payment or return it for no unknown reason, only to have my mortgage payment "late", in which the late payment fees keep rising, and my credit is suffering. When asked for a manager, they are not available. Phone calls are not returned. I have at least 3 direct phone numbers for Lori, Jayla and Jose - and the phone calls are not returned. I have had trouble since July and have after HOURS and HOURS of phone calls, emails my November payment has still not posted. Another late payment. The mortgage comes directly from allotment. On one occasion, one employee reported that I am not alone. They have hundreds of these issues just like mine. I have owned my home over 20 years and have never had an issue with my payments. Something needs to be done about this company. I have never been more motivated to spend money to refinance to get out of this horrible situation. They are completely unaccountable and unprofessional.

I attempted to contact customer service via Mr. Coopers app, I was having financial issues for the month and wanted to see if they were able to roll the left over balance to the next month. I had paid a partial payment for the month, but didn't want my credit to be lowered for my inability to pay it all. I received an email the next business day stating that I needed to contact customer service over the phone for issues like that. So I contacted them via phone, and spoke with a representative about my issue. First issue with the phone call, they didn't verify ANY of my information. They didn't ask for my name, phone number, mortgage number, address, or ANYTHING for that matter. My second issue with the phone call is that when I requested my remaining balance to be rolled over to next months bill, they told me I would be unable to do anything along that order, until AFTER being 30 days late on my payment. So basically, they won't assist you in keeping your account in good terms with them until AFTER you are already having issues making payments. I contacted customer service via email after my conversation on the phone with the representative, I wanted to verify that the information she relayed to me was correct- it was apparently. So after verifying that via email, I mentioned that I was unhappy with their customer service and that I planned on making a complaint to Revdex.com. About two weeks later I receive an email from Nyki from Mr. Cooper, stating that their records do not reflect that I called them at all. After sending a screen shot of the phone call from my iPhone to verify that I had in fact contacted them, I still have not heard a response back about their obvious security issues. I will be looking for another mortgage company as soon as I am able to.

I for see a battle bruing with the payoff of my loan with this fee for everything institution. I'm willing to bet they won't be able to find my mortgage contract. I'm going to bring in a real estate lawyer to assist me with the payoff and to make sure that I'm not getting ripped off with fees and hidden costs.

Mr. Cooper is the worst mortgage lender around, they unable to answer questions, and when challenged they change the subject and start reading a debt collection statement, they do not present facts, and customer service is a zero

Refinancing with this company is a nightmare. I first started the process in June of 2019 and by the end of August I was on my fourth application and cruising onto my second appraisal before I gave up as it was too stressful to keep dealing with error after error from team Mr. Cooper. Nobody was held accountable and even supervisors dropped the ball and couldn't live up to their word. This was probably thee worst experience I've ever had with a lending institution!!! End result I wasn't able to do my upgrades to my house and lost time and money in the process because of it. My credit was right, I pay on time and have equity in my home for someone that does this for a living this should have been a no brainer!!! What a joke! Never again.

Probably the worst Company I have ever dealt with!!! Tried to get an assumption done for 8 months. Talked to 20+ people, sent documents by mail and e-mail. Was told I didn't send all documents required but no one informed me about missing documents. In fact I was told by e-mail all the documents were sent to the Assumptions Department. (What a Joke!) Can't talk to them by phone or e-mail because they will not answer you. I left numerous phone messages with Mr Cooper Operators to tell the Assumption Department to contact me but never did. They lied to me for 8 months. I was told the last time I called that I would have to refinance to make the changes on the loan I wanted. My solution to the problem Mr. Cooper was to get my house refinanced by another company! You lost $69,000 in interest. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TERRIBLE!!!

TERRIBLE customer service. I'm am very frustrated with this company. I have tried for weeks to get my bill figured out with no help. I have either been stuck on hold for an hour or spoken to rudely and was forced to hang up just to call back and be on hold for another hour. Anyways... I think I just want them to take out my escrow on my bill since they can't seem to figure out how to accurately pay it and if need be take my homeowners insurance off escrow as well since they have a "cushion" of a ridiculous $350 needs to be kept for them to pay my things. This is not my first home buying experience but I can promise it has been my worst with Mr. Cooper. Charging me a "shortage" of $230.48 AND still raising my bill $28.82 per month is crazy it should be one of the other not a fee AND a increase. Or my other great option is to not pay the "shortage" (which I might add, no one can tell me why I have a shortage) and then get charged a insane $48.03 increase of my bill, yay. This needs to be figured out immediately. Also it appears like they have paid my town taxes twice, I checked this with my town office by the way. It might be where their "shortage" is coming from. On another note I hope they can employ people in the future that know what they are doing, are helpful, and don't have a attitude problem but they are certainly lacking those types of employees currently.

This is the worst company I have ever delt with trying to get a home loan. They kept changing my close date, and kept saying my loan was all set then something would always come up. They said my credit report had too much credit the last time, by the way 95% of it was paid off with a 780 credit score. It was a complete runaround until I had enough and told them forget about it I would take my business some place else, when I did my loan for the same amount closed in 26 day's Mr. Cooper gave me the runaround for almost two months.
DO NOT use this company. I wish I could give negitive stars.

Customer service personnel pretend to be concerned about your issue and just refer you to research incoming department which doesn't respond to any email contact. Wife has been associated with a conventional home loan that has severely impacted her credit score. When Mr. Cooper runs her name and SSN they find nothing. However, when Transunion dispute was filed they verified all information was accurate, which shouldn't be the case. Would like to clear this up but don't think that there's anyone at Mr. Cooper that is willing to put forth the effort. My wife has never dealt with Mr. Cooper or Nationstar for any loan.

I wish I would have come to this page before we chose to work with Mr Cooper as our lender! We are sitting here 3 days past when we were supposed to have closed and are unfortunately still in limbo. We started our loan process 40 days or more in advance and have gotten Mr Cooper's loan processors everything they needed promptly but now because our underwriter is somehow gone it has moved to another underwriter and we are still waiting... we were told initially you only need 21 days to close a loan and we are now close to 40 days or more and still haven't closed. This has now cost us a week of vacation that we were supposed to use to move, we are already paying for homeowners insurance on a home we haven't purchased and hopefully the seller doesn't back out on the deal since we have missed the close date. Frustrated doesn't even come close to how we are feeling right now!

When a paying customer of 15 years tells you that they can't afford the final balloon payment (that I don't even recall being notified that it was approaching btw) and your only response is we have no options for you, it speaks volumes to your lack of character and sympathy.Their website only shows positive reviews and supportive rhetoric about how they understand and are here to help, but if you are savvy you will search and find horrible stories of their overall poor customer service. I understand making a profit is the American way and that I agreed to the terms of the loan, but I'm not sure how they can sleep at night having already gotten $16,000 dollars above my loan amount and incredibly now demand an additional $36,000. $52,000 profit off a middle class family? Seems honest and decent huh?. The agent, when telling me I had no other options and that basically I would lose my home, did tell me to go on Google and see if I might find someone else to help. 15 years with a good credit score and no late payments even during the housing crisis (that I'm only just now barely above water on the home) and it amounts to being referred to Google or lose your home. I'm devastated.

My mortgage was purchased by Mr Cooper and I thought the letter notifying me of this was a joke as I couldn't understand a company having a name like this! I now receive an escrow shortage notice that implies my property taxes have doubled! This is clearly a mistake as I have been in my home for many years and no substantial changes to the home. My call to customer service was very frustrating with them telling me that they "see this all the time". I asked for a copy of the notice from my city showing this increase as I was never notified and she stated they do not get letters, they project the taxes by going to the city records. I was also told I could see my next years taxes on my city website of which the customer service rep at Mr cooper offered to check it for me. 5 minutes later she came back to the line stating she couldn't find it! Supposedly a case ticket has been created to investigate and it would take 10 days. My husband thinks it's a scam to use our money in their accounts or something and to definitely write reviews and/or report this stupid company!

We were part of a disaster. Paid our loan off with insurance money and it is taking over 45 days to get the remainder of the money. Poor customer service and will not bank with them again.

They didn't send me a payment coupon for July and I missed the payment. They called me in August to tell me I owe them $100 for a missed payment. I asked them what happened to my payment coupon and they told me they had a returned correspondence for July. I asked them if that was my payment coupon and they said they couldn't tell but I was still on the hook for the $100. I went online to make up the missed payment and their website told me my address was wrong (maybe that's why I didn't get my payment coupon?) so I checked the address and there was nothing wrong with it, it's been the same address for the last 15 years, and I got all my other payment coupons! Was this a scam to try and make me miss a payment and force me to go paperless? I still haven't got my September payment coupon and it's due on the 1st...

Liar's and thieves, they kept making mistakes, changing the rate after lock in. Bad business!

My home mortgage was purchased by a company by the name of Mr. Cooper. Having never heard of the company I did some research. At the time seemed like a decent company. Contacted them everything from my old lender transferred over without issue. Fast easy no issues. Fast forward to 7/22/19. I received a statement of termination for my home owners insurance. I contacted Mr. Copper was told the escrow department would look into it. On 8-7-19 they sent a check to American Modern insurance to pay the premium. Problem is the policy was terminated on 7-23-2019. Call Mr. Cooper. Get to the escrow department. They give me some sob excuse about how they "Attempted to contact the ins company to get billing info" I ask them what I should do now. Get this she suggests I call their ins company to get coverage.... Wonder how many people they suckered into that. I get *** because she is basically telling me I'm on my own and their not willing to rectify their mistake. She tells me that my insurance was unwilling to reinstate my policy. Sounds like a great company right?

I call American Modern insurance. Explain what the issue is not only have they heard of this happening they have actually setup a program. To help when lenders do this. A 20 min call to American Modern and my policy is reinstated. No fees no drama. Just we'll help you fix it. That is great customer service.

I've been with this company for 4 years and it has been awful..but the other day was the icing on the cake. I was telling the rep what was going on, asking to be go on some sort of payment plan since we fell through for July (even though I just paid it..)..the guy was extremely rude and asked if this would happen again. I told him no then I was like screw it, I'll tell him the real reason. Real reason why? $65k in hospital bills because I tried to kill myself 3 times. What did this man do? He laughed at me. Laughed at me and told me that hopefully I can pay on time next time. Glad y'all think suicide is funny! Just wait until this get's out....

They lost my first payment and it took several months of stress just to figure it out. Now they currently are showing and reporting to my credit report that I am delinquent on a February payment. The first statement they sent said that no payment was due on February 1, was due on March 1st. I call multiple times every month and my concern has been open since March. I'm stressed out and their failure is causing me a low credit score!! I can't even get a small loan for a car because of them and I'm not happy. Getting out of this Mr Cooper business just as soon as I can.

Sends threatening letter for unpaid taxes, giving 15 days to respond or else.

All taxes had been paid on time. Letter was nonsense.

They could have checked the county site and seen taxes were paid if they bothered to even look.

Instead I have to waste my time sending copies of check and image of website to prove my innocence.

They are sm
