They assumed my loan servicing this year and immediately made errors on the property and paid the taxes on someone else's home. I have been trying to correct this problem for the past 4 months and ended up paying my own property taxes so the Probate Judge wouldn't place a lean on my property and auction it off for unpaid taxes. That was over a month ago and I still don't have resolution. Phone calls, e-mails, documents sent, points of contact at the Revenue Department forwarded to them and still no action. They don't seem to care.

Worst company ever. All of a sudden started charging me for home insurance, without notifying me in advance or getting my consent. I already had home insurance, which I had paid for for an entire year upfront. They also had documentation of this. It's already taken 3 phone calls, and the issue still isn't fully resolved. Their customer service rep admitted that they had charged me erroneously. However, never once during any of these 3 calls has anyone apologized. These people are rude, unscrupulous, and beyond incompetent.

I did not choose to do business with these charlatans. Transferring a mortgage against the customer's will should be illegal.

If I could leave a 0, I would. I have had the very unfortunate experience of having my mortgage sold to Mr. Cooper this year. So far, they have somehow managed to "lose" an electronic bank-to-bank payment. This occurred in early March, and despite calls just about every other day, emails, me sending them bank statements and proof of payment, Mr. Cooper still "can't find" my missing payment of $3,000.00. I have now had to submit a formal complaint to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (www.***.gov) for anyone else who may need it. None of my complaints to Mr. Cooper have been taken seriously at all, even with my bank's proof of payment, which is all I should have had to provide in order to have this serious error corrected. I was told by a customer service rep that they have my proof of payment and see that my bank submitted the payment, but that "there was no proof that the funds were in my account"........that is exactly what the proof of payment shows. The funds WERE in my account, and have since been paid to and accepted ELECTRONICALLY by Mr. Cooper! Wondering if there is ANY way to take our mortgage elsewhere. We never had any problems like this with our previous mortgage companies. If you have a choice at all, I would not recommend Mr. Cooper/Nationstar Mortgage.

One of the worse company's I have ever dealt with, Unfortunately I am currently under chapter 13 and I am just trying to get copies of some statements. Per their request I had my lawyer call and then fax over authority for me to get my copies, later was told to reach out to their lawyer and have them reach out to them to get those copies..mind you I only want copies of some statements. I have e-mails from their lawyer stating it was communicated to them that it would be okay for me to reach out to them..nope couldn't do it they need to have the attorney on the line..every time I call it's a different story and to top it off the notes they have not very detailed with the information of my lawyer calling and the fax that was sent.. I admit I've lost my cool being on the phone with these is...folks I just need COPIES..this has to be some type of discrimination, it unfortunate this company has no customer service skills or compassion.

Continual issues almost impossible to get to the right person to get the issue resolved, continual lost faxes and emails!

They sent me an escrow refund check that was damaged. I called Mr. Cooper service and they assured me that if I sent them a void check they would have the money direct deposited into my account with in 48 hrs. Well it's been 2 weeks and a few phone calls, and still no refund money. As it turns out there no direct depositing at all. Will have to wait a few more weeks for another check, or so they say. So I have a blank check to my account floating around out there for no reason. Mr. Cooper is a very uncreditable lender. I don't trust them at all, and only been with them 2 months.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. This is a very avery dishonest company who held our insurance check up for no reason. Never notified us there was an issue or nothing. In the mean time contractors are looking to get paid. You think they care. Heck no. I would never have used them but our mortgage got bought by them. Piece of *** company full of excuses. God help anyone who has to deal with them.

If you don't want to lose your house and your sanity, DO NOT choose Mr. Cooper! They are the worst mortgage company out there. Every month you will see new fees that they will add on. When you call, they will always give you the same answer, "we understand your frustrations but this is just the way it is". They won't help you whatsoever. If you are struggling financially and you ask them for help because you don't want to lose your house, forget it, they won't help you, and your house will be going to foreclosure before you know it. DO NOT buy hazard insurance from them! You will have to pay for repairs out of your own pocket, all awhile Mr. Cooper will hold on to your check from the insurance, and tell you that they are still reviewing the claim, weeks after the inspection paperwork was faxed to them. Mr. Cooper are not here to help you purchase a home, they are here to make money at all cost, even if it means that you will be homeless!

I am very unhappy with this company. Out mortgage loan was sold to them ... Not only did they NOT pay our Homeowners Insurance when due...our account has lapsed and we had to make a payment...and WAIT to be reimbursed.... ( we have an impound account) I just found out they have NOT paid our property tax yet either! We have NEVER had this problem with any other mortgage company . Was told by our insurance that" our request fro payment had been ignored " Mr. Cooper was supposed to overnight the money ... A conference call on March 14th...WELL Mr Cooper DID NOT overnight the money and instead on the 19th sent a check to insurance company via snail mail. And told me to allow 7 to 10 Business days to get there! Oh that is great...it was 2 weeks late on the 14th and the insurance has already lapsed...by the time their check gets there it will be totally cancelled! And need to be rewritten...Are you kidding me??? WHAT kind of company is this???? So as to not get totally cancelled I made a payment ... I would never recommend this company to anyone. Our insurance company on the other hand American Specialty Insurance is so polite, respectful and helpful. I would give Mr Cooper a -10 and American Specialty Insurance a 10+

If I could give zero stars, I would. I work at a law firm helping clients with foreclosure situations etc. We ALWAYS see issues with 'Nationstar/Mr. Cooper' mortgages AND/OR accounts purchased by them; but never did I think my husband and I would be in a situation with this company! We took out a moderate loan with Springleaf for home improvement/that loan was then purchased by another company and then again by Nationstar/Mr Cooper. We have had nothing but issues for the last 7 months with their company and this time they took out a mortgage payment without our authorization and overdrew my husband's account. I was having none of it and we got them on the phone AGAIN and 3 wayed with the bank and made them return the funds. This is just a drop in the bucket of issues we've had with them. We have NEVER paid late but they keep adding fees and charges that are not legitimate. We are getting all of our records together and we are going to have my law firm help us. Calling them and keeping good records does not help! They NEVER follow through with what is discussed...ever. If you ask for their name...the next time you call they say nobody works here by that name. It gets more and more screwed up every month. Sick to death of them. Someone has to do something. Whenever a client tells us they have major issues with their mortgage co. I reply let me guess...Mr. Cooper and it is. What a crock it was for them to 'change their name'. A leopard cannot change its spots. They are a disaster to deal with! Hate them so much.

I recently lost a big chunk of my monthly income and I was told by an agent with Mr. Cooper that I could make a 75% payment and it would be considered payed but the balance would roll over. I received a letter saying that full payment was needed! I called back and the reps said he was wrong and full payment was needed, they were not willing to honor that at all! I even had them read back the notes on my account and it said exactly what he told me. They would not even say sorry or provide any type of explanation.

So THEY have an agent that lies to one of their clients... but now it's my fault and I have to jump through hoops to try and make a full payment. Not surprised by their horrible rating now...

This company Mr. Cooper is the worst and their representatives are horrible. I have been dealing with financial issues for about a year dealing my furnace not working properly to find the chimney was clogged. I'm on a fixed income and I like when I get an email stating call us we are here to help. What a joke.
When Mr. Cooper would call I would have to explain my situation over and over again, if my account was documented as stated by the rep why I'm I repeating the same situation to every representative that calls. Ex. what had caused your situation, are you living there, my response you send me a registered letter every month that I sign for and send a company to ride past my house and then charge me.
This situation has been compounded by this company with unnecessary charges. This company is not worth a star, but I guess I have to give it one.

Customer service is unresponsive. I have sent multiple "secure" messages requesting PMI elimination, only to get automated responses that they will be in "touch shortly." This has been going on for over a month. I have e-mailed, snail-mailed, and faxed - and still no response. This appears to be a very shady operation.

This company does not do business legitimately! I paid over $2,000 to cover a quote-unquote mortgage escrow shortage and not only did they not post it properly but they took part of it to apply for a payment for the next month and then when I asked them to put it back where it belongs and they didn't and they haven't returned my money to me they won't return my calls. They're one of the worst companies I have ever done business with in my life!

Nationstar/Mr.cooper mortgage company is laughable and has very bad business practices and their customer service is a joke they deserve 0 stars.

Mortgages are sold to other mortgage companies on a daily basis and I understand this process.
Here is what they are doing to me....
Back in 2014 my mortgage with Penny Mac was sold to Nationstar/ Mr.Cooper and with that comes assignment of mortgage which is filed with your county recorder's office which mine was not. In 2016 I was able to refinance with a different mortgage company.
In December of 2016 I closed on my new mortgage and in December of 2016 Nationstar/Mr.cooper was paid in full.
In December of 2018 my wife and I decided to get a home equity line of credit so we contacted our local bank the process was moving forward and then we got a call from our loan officer when she did a routine property check it said there was a lien on our property from Nationstar/Mr.Cooper which was placed when Nationstar/mr.cooper decided to finally file the assignment of mortgage from 2014, 4 years after buying the mortgage from Penny Mac and almost 2 years after they were paid in full from my current mortgage company. In January of 2019 my loan officer and I contacted Nationstar/mr.cooper to inquire about this issue and that's where the RUN AROUND began. For the last 2 1/2 months I have been trying to get this matter resolved I have made call after call after call after call after call. I have talked to so many people the page is a mile long. I've talked with the customer service department to many times to count, I've talked to so many people in the escalation department to many times to count I've talked to managers I've talked to supervisors I'm so tired of hearing I understand your frustrations you can't even begin to understand my frustrations at this point. They tell me 3 to 5 business days then I'm told 5 to 7 business days then I'm told 7 to 10 business days then I'm told 30 to 45 business days so which is it I've even made calls to their cooperate office and the lady gave me their lien department fax number and low and behold my fax won't go through funny isn't it ,so I still have gotten no where. I have to tell my story over and over and over and over again and when my call is transfered I have to tell my story again. I keep getting one excuse after another I keep getting one story after story as to why it's not being taken care of. They say we will contact our lien department which they can only contact them via EMAIL ONLY no direct contact with them only through email which takes days upon days to get a response which I still have not received after they sent several emails to the lien department and still nothing. Then they tell me my account is red flagged to not contact me so in order for them to call me I had to submit in written form to release the no contact in which I'm told that will take 4 to 5 business days to process this request again delay ,delay,delay. I'm so tired of being lied to its lie after lie after lie at this point pinocchio is a saint compared to these people. It makes me wonder how this company is still in business and the fact that the staff seems incompetent or unwilling to do their job hints it took 4 years to file proper paperwork with county recorders office which I was told today the times they did try to file the paperwork was incomplete and was rejected. Every time I call I get little pieces of information I didn't have before which make them look even worse then the time before. They have put my life on hold for the last 2 1/2 months for no good reason the lien they placed on my property they had no right to do seeing they have been paid in full since 2016. Its sad and very upsetting they can do this to people and get away with it. I have now had to contact an attorney and they could have taken care of this in a matter of days and now 2 1/2 months later I'm gonna have to pursue it though legal action. So hear is a piece of advice if your looking for a mortgage company DO NOT GIVE NATIONSTAR/MR.COOPER YOUR BUSINESS THEY WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE *** AND NOT BAT AN EYE IN THE PROCESS....

My mortgage was purchased by this company from Loan depot. Have not received any communication from this company. Every call I attempted to make, I get an automate hung. Unfortunately I will need to get an attorney to see where I stand. This company sucks big time. I see why they have a D rating with Revdex.com.

I have always paid my mortgage on time. At the end of December 2018 I made my payment for January 2019. Not wanting to pull my mortgage payment out of one check anymore I decided to split my payment. So on January 5, 2019 I made 1/2 my mortgage payment for February's payment. Then on or around January 22, 2019 I made the other 1/2 payment. Pretty simple right? Wrong. Apparently they applied it to additional principal paid, and still wanted a "Full Payment" for February. I called and was able to get them to fix it, just for them to do the exact same thing for March's payment. Again, I paid them 1/2 on February 5th, and the other half on February 22nd. I contacted them again and they said that this happens all the time and that it is an easy fix. Well if it happens all the time, then obviously your company is doing something wrong! They still haven't fixed my March payment yet as showing paid in full. It is still showing payment due!

This company (nationstar) lied to me & my bank. They was not authorized to auto-pay, I've never got anything stating "nationstar" but they seem to do what ever they feel, my mortgage company was Pacific union financial & everything was fine, then(Mr cooper/nationstar)took over & bought them out & has screwed everyone in the process. Who the *** is nationstar?? Mr cooper?? Asking ..now answer me mother ***. 1 *** off client.

Impossible to get ahold of, they call my husband while he is at work and can not be on the phone (truck driver) my husband has told the person in charge of our account numerous times to call in the evening. My husband calls when he is off work just to be put on a long hold or sent straight to voicemail. They will no longer accept our partial payments and sent them back which adds more fees and puts us further behind they will only accept a full payment. We don't even know what our options are at this point because we are just playing phone tag.

Nationstar is a horrible company, their payment reporting is so incorrect and damaging. But the worst part is when you contact them, they tell you to write a letter to some department that never respond while your credit history is consistently dropping though you miss no payment in several years.
I wish the bureaus would take into account what is being expressed to them in our (consumers) are disputing.
