this business purposefully delayed the notice of the leave from my personal trainer so that I would not cancel my personal training agreement by the renewal date. My personal training agreement gets renewed on the [redacted] of each month and I was given the notice of the leave of my trainer on the [redacted] of June (4 days after the renewal on 05/**). There is enough proof to believe that this was intentionally delayed so that I would pay an additional $95 for the extra session. For instance, I was the first client of the day and right after my training session I heard from other clients that my trainer was leaving and they wouldn't know what to do. This shows that this information had been hidden from me at least for a while to avoid me from canceling my agreement. To make matters worse, I informed the club on multiple occasions that I would be away in the month of July so I would freeze my membership in that month, further before I knew my trainer was leaving. So in addition to being charged for the additional session, I won't get to use that session since I will be away.

The membership cancellation terms are as states: Your cancellation will be effective on the first day of the next billing cycle and you will continue to have services provided under this agreement until the end...

of the billing cycle in which notice is given. You understand that if you cancel your membership, you will be charged a cancellation fee of $29.95". Our billing cycle begins on the first of every month. The member placed a request to cancel on 5/**/16, therefore the cancellation was effective 6/**/16. The member was billed on 5/**/16 for $19.95 for access for the month of May. Since the Annual fee bills every year on May [redacted], the member was billed the $49.95 Annual fee on 5/**/16. The $29.95 cancellation fee was billed on 6/**/16. All fees are valid and there is no refund warranted. If the member wanted to avoid the Annual fee, the cancellation would have needed to be requested in April.

I officially reject the response from the business but I will pay the $39 due to concerns about their dishonest practices impacting my credit history or reputation in a similar fashion to their own terrible reputation both with the Revdex.com, on [redacted], and a number of other reviews.  I will be filing a formal complaint with Consumer Affairs about the practices of New York Sports Clubs regarding this issue and apparently the issue of a number of other consumers.As I have not been able to reach member services on my own in the past, if the company could contact me for payment information, it would be greatly appreciated.

We apologize for any inconvenience. Our club policy for guest privileges has changed. Our members with guest privileges are able to bring one guest per visit but it must be a first time guest only. We no longer allow repeat guests. Unfortunately we cannot grandfather any members into repeat guest...

privileges since the club policy has changed not the member's benefits. We have contacted the member directly to offer a resolution. If the member decides he wants to cancel, we will waive the cancellation fee as a courtesy but we could not provide a refund.

I am going to forward you an email received from this company inviting me to enroll in the Rate Lock. As I said, when I initially signed up I wasn't told anything about a Rate Lock and was totally surprised by the whole thing.  My husband belonged to WSC prior to me and I joined following him.  He never paid a Rate Lock and his contract did not have a Rate Lock.  It is not something I requested to enroll in. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to regards that I was refunded the amount that was stolen from me as part of a fraud scheme, but it does not justify taking a year to settle this issue. Also, agreement [redacted] was never an agreement as it was completely forged and I never got the opportunity to read a contract. Unfortunately, I also lost a day worth of work due to a bank dispute months ago with this company, but to get some money back is better than nothing. I do not know if I will continue to give this company my business along with all my friends who I got to sign up, but I was satisfied with how well and professional the worker from corporate was to me on the phone. Out of everyone who has done nothing except look the other way, I am happy and thankful there are people who still care and the company would strive if they had more people like herself. The facility is great and would be perfect if it weren't for this issue.

My account has been suspended until resolved - the credit for $39.99 was not issued until April [redacted] so I lost the entire month of April.  Now I need credit for April plus $1.90 for each day in May that this is not resolved.

The way it was explained was that I was charged $40 in January for Rate Lock.  The way it practically works is that once my 12-month contract ends, your club will not raise the rate that I'm currently paying.  Please explain how this is not considered a benefit.  If I pay my monthly membership, what does this fee of $40 give me that the initiation fees and all the other fees associated when I first sign up doesn't give me?  In essence, what am I paying for?
