I really enjoy noom. I think it has been extremely helpful in my weightloss program. I love all the articles and the group and individual help.
There are two things I would change about it however. I wish you could easily see all the food you've eaten in a day very quickly like in a side tab. I dont think it's as easy to get to or at least I havent found a way. Also I like that they provide recipes, however they dont provide the serving size, just how many servings. It would be super helpful to know the serving size. I think it would be also helpful for it to keep track of the amount of water you drink throughout the day. Even if you put it in the food logging, it doesnt really keep track.

I've been using Noom for about 6 weeks now and had some success with weight loss, down about 10 pounds. It's too early for me to tell whether this will be a lasting change or not. I do enjoy for the most part the daily articles and tips, although the silly presentation (with the all the initialisms and puns) gets to be a little tiresome for me at times. (I suspect many more enjoy that style of writing.) I don't really enjoy having to click through the articles, especially when the button I'm clicking doesn't really express my sentiments, but I do it anyway so that I can complete the reading. Some of the articles and tips don't apply to me or my lifestyle, but I have learned some new stuff and just having the daily check-in seems to help me stay focused on my goals.
Overall, it seems to be working. Staying motivated is my biggest challenge and using Noom has helped with that so far.

This is a pretty great program! I have been enjoying and finding some success on my journey so far. However, I don't really think their coaching is super helpful. If you need someone to keep you accountable, that is great. But if you need someone who can discuss your particular issues and help you find goals to reach for, that is not really what they do. They seem to want you to be the driver and make up your own goals without input and then they support you. I am a pretty driven person and what I am looking for is a professional who will help me build strategies based on my life and shaped by their expertise.

I never signed up for this program, but they are trying to charge my bank account $159. This has basically drained my account until I get paid again, and we have children to feed. They have no phone number to call, only a contact form to fill out on their website. I filled it out, and was sent a generic response email saying someone will get back to me within a few days. This is all completely unacceptable, and I want my money back immediately.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely

Noom has been super helpful and easy to follow.

I have tried diets and been on weight watchers 4 times. This program is different than anything I’ve tried before. This is an upbeat, funny, positive and informative program. Very easy to use, and the color coded logging app for food (analysis) is so great for a visual learner, such as myself.
I have been a nurse for 25 years, but nowhere have I learned so much about all the aspects that effect how and what we eat. I appreciate the information about research and information on the various diets. This is an app I feel I can trust. It’s like turning to a good friend, who accepts you... right where you are... and helps you move forward, even after a fall.

While the concepts are great the delivery is very dry. Way to much text no external resources and little support for the money spent. While I will stick with it until the end I am disappointed

A complete rip-off, charged me 99.00 after I attempted to cancel prior to end of trial period. Even company phone number spirals you into nothing but voice messages then spits you out and hangs up! I have been informed by a Noom bot that I am beyond a refund period. WOW. Buyer, BEWARE!

I love Noom!!! The info provided is very helpful and presented in a clever, entertaining way.

I love that Noom concentrates on the psychological aspect of weight loss. This is the easiest plan I've ever tried!

I went in with a positive attitude, wanting to learning and find some way to make a lasting difference in my physical condition. Noom provides that, along with a decent database and good tracking. I've been following the program for a month and a half, so others may have more experience than I, but I've lost 10+ lbs. so far, and I feel good. I did not have to share if I didn't want to. Sometimes I didn't, but sometimes I did and it helped. Really, you get out what you put in. As other reviewers have mentioned, the database is not always right and it does not include every food in the world, but what database does? It DOES provide options for adding new listings and options for correct calorie content. You can also save recipes/meals for future use. The articles provide a "course" for learning. Yes, there is repetition, but I find that helpful because I'm busy and don't always have time to read everything as carefully as I could. The tone of the articles was a little grating at times, but it's not the tone I'm here for; it's the information. The course provides comprehensive information on various aspects of life that contribute to a healthy lifestyle. The tracking and information has been very helpful, and I'm hopeful I will be able to continue weight loss and maintain a healthy weight. One thing that would be nice would be if the Noom program could sync with fitness trackers to detect steps, because I don't carry my phone around with me everywhere (and don't want to). Or, if we could enter steps manually, that would work. Sure people could lie, but if they're going to lie, they aren't really serious about what they're doing anyway.

With Noom you learn to eat healthy food that works for you. You are taught how to eat what’s best for you & not just grab the first thing in site. There are tools you have to help you on your new way of life. A great coach for advice, chat group for support & recipes. You’re gonna Learn how to love yourself again!

I am finding the app very helpful. Just the right amount of information on a daily basis to keep me motivated and moving forward. Change is hard and this program breaks it down to manageable and sustainable steps. It is like having a personal coach and group cohort in your pocket. There is accountability but zero judgement. It is very flexible with an easy to understand green light, yellow light, red light system to guide your food choices. It is suitable for everyone from omnivores to vegans. Some may find their humor annoying but I enjoy the lighthearted approach. As with anything in life, you get out of it what you put in. I was reticent to do any group sharing and just clicked on past those prompts for a while but really I have found inspiration in the struggles and challenges of those who do share. A difficult journey is a tad easier when you have company on the road.

Has helped me to eliminate mindless eating. It is easy to post food choices, track weight, but the step tracker only works half the time. I am intrigued with my group. I never realized there were so many people with the same eating quirks that I have. I plan to continue with Noom because it is the only plan I have stayed with for 5+ weeks.

This feels a hell of a lot like a scam. Signed up for a $1 two-week trial, paid an extra $59 on top of that for a "custom diet/workout plan" (spoiler: it's not customized; the workout plan tells you to walk 300 extra steps each day and the diet plan tells you an overall calorie limit). I was even okay with the lame, auto-response "coach" whose solution to my problems was asking me what I thought I could do (seriously?) because the app tells you repeatedly not to give in when your motivation dwindles, to leg it out, etc. So I leg it out past the end of the two week trial until this morning -- day 15 -- when I find out that a $149 hold was put on my account for a six-month auto-renew which *at bestwas brushed under the rug during sign-up (and that's giving benefit of the doubt because I don't recall ever consenting to that). Canceled immediately and turns out that all six months of those charges are non-refundable. Not even a prorated refund for the 5 months that haven't even hit yet. Really, really disappointed to see after checking *** and Revdex.com that this is such a common experience for users. I feel stupid and taken advantage of. Buyer beware.

I like the program and find it helpful, but their tech support is non-existent. I have a bug in the step count which doesn't let it increase and I am missing two features that should be there. I have told the "goal coach", "the group coach", e-mailed tech support, submitted a form to tech support, etc., etc. Absolutely no response, which is annoying considering they take my money without any difficulty.

Be very aware when your trial period ends because the whopping bill will be taken out if your account the MINUTE it ends and the response to complaints about that gets you no where. "Please feel free to use the app for the rest of your subscription period." is all you'll hear. I hadn't used it at all and thought I had disconnected. Inattentively and improperly it turns out. So, if you keep getting emails after you think you've uninstalled, disconnected, thought you stopped the trial, it's possible you haven't gotten rid of it either and will be charged. Uninstalling the app doesn't do it.

After I said "I'm done." and wanted OUT on the day I looked into the noom program I thought I was done with this whole process. I then received an email from Paypal that $159 (yearly subscription - NOT MONTHLY like they say it will be billed) was taken out of my account even after I said I was done and didn't respond to the goal coach because I never opened the app again. I followed their procedures for canceling the subscription with the message through the app. They responded by email that my renewal was cancelled but not the $159 yearly payment because that is the NO REFUND policy even if I never used or participated in their program. I tried to contact them via the app and customer support with NO response. When calling them, they simply refer to the website, the app and their NO REFUND policy. Stay AWAY from this company and their tactics.

I like the blending of entering data as well as the education provided each day. I’m a nerd, I enjoy the occasional quizzes too. As with most health apps, I find the food tracking to be the most difficult to keep up with and do regularly.

Easy to use, learn a lot about yourself.
