I’ve really enjoyed this app and have learned more about food, nutrition, portion control and my goals than I ever have before. It’s made me more accountable than other apps have which I appreciate and I like the silly humor. I also think there are more options for loading exercise. They need to keep building the food dictionary for logging meals but hopefully they’ll get there!

I love the app. The articles, motivation, group support and psychology are ask really great tools. I have not explored too many recipes yet but LOVE the kale chips. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars, the step counter does not count accurately at all, like 2-3 K steps less than my Samsung and fit bit but there is an option to adjust the step count at least. The food tracker is not the best either. Weight watchers food tracker is much better and I wish there was an option to add recipes and get the nutrition facts per serving. All in all, worth the money in my opinion.

The teaching of NOOM are very good and have help me lose weight and learned how to keep losing weight. But, when they say you have a personal coach is a bit of a stretch. You text them and they respond 24 or more hours later. They are suppose to check in once a week with you, but I found myself looking for my coach on many occasions to do a weekly check in. The small groups are nice, you can get support with some the group, many are on just to fulfill their assignment then off.
Would love to have the program for desk top. It can only be accessed with IOS, phone or pad. NOOM also will connect to you phone to get down your walking steps made for a day. If you decide to use another device, like a Fitbit, make sure you go into your apps and disallow NOOM from connecting to you phone to read data .
Like I said the teaching is well worth reading and learning from. But they have to remember that not everyone is a millennial and are happy with using using their phones for everything.

I LOVE the psychology behind Noom! I like having a real guide to talk to, she is very non judgemental. I wish with the servings that we could enter our own, because I eat Less a lot. Sometimes the quizzes are a little bit over my head. I'm doing the best that I can, but it is helpful. I've been really sick with Bronchitis almost 3 weeks now, I went to the Dr. But I've missed some days, and I apologize. This is all new to me. WE have to do more in order to support this plan, where as with others, they tell you what to eat and you're done! It just takes getting used to. I also wish there was more room to add things if you eat something you shouldn't. I'm not a group person, and I've been told in therapy that's ok...so I'm doing my best. I'm giving it at least 3 months...this is important!! Thank you so much! K.

The Noom program has been effective for me. I like checking in each morning and during rhe day if I have questions. It is good to work the program on my schedule, not have to attend meetings, etc. The personal coaching makes Noom personal and caring. I enjoy chatting with the group members as we share each others concerns.
I feel this is a "make sense" program where I am gaining success.

Noom has definitely held me accountable, while allowing flexibility to my schedule. The largest impact for me has come from weighing in daily and logging my food in their app. Some daily articles are definitely more insightful than others. Overall, the app/program is a great way to incorporate dieting into your daily life without restricting where/what you eat. Also a great option if you don’t want to share with everyone that you’re dieting

Overall, I am enjoying Noom. I like the fact that it’s easy to log my food every day and that they remind me to do that. I also enjoy the psychology bits they get me to read. Mostly I find them interesting, and funny, and I enjoy the casual format. I like that they look at other things other than just what you eat. I think they should add meditation to the daily “other” section. I find the group section a little confusing. I find my coach encouraging. My weight loss is not as fast as I would like. I wish they would provide bonus calories on the weekend, as I find it hard to stick to the budget at those times.

I’m enjoying my experience with Noom. It is keeping me honest. I am losing weight and all the info I am learning is wonderful.

I like the ability to track your eating on the app which shows the calories. It has good visual tracking of the calories you enter through out the day which is very helpful. I like the psychological teaching that goes on during the day to day tracking system. The psychological element is what most diet programs are missing and Noom has a strong psychological component along with food nutrition education. There are periodic messages from two coaches and a designated group that each person can reach out to for assistance. There is a helpful system in the app for tracking the number of steps you are taking each day. A good, well rounded program that I recommend.

The app really helps me stay on track with what I am eating. All the daily lessons give a good education and pointers to become more aware of why/what/when we eat.
My only wish would be for the food logging section to have the ability to save certain meals: I eat the same things for breakfast every day and it would be nice to just have one line item to enter for that.

After 4 weeks of using the Noom app, I've definitely lost some weight. Tracking what I eat, my weight, and my steps have helped a lot. There is good information each day that helps me understand about eating and moving differently and those are the things that have lead to weight loss -- which is, after all, what I am paying for. I'm not crazy about the individual coach, and I don't use the group coach/group environment at all. There are a few too many new terms thrown at you every day, but overall I'm satisfied with the program so far and will continue to use it with my own modifications.

I'm getting ready to start week 7. Losing weight the last couple years has been next to impossible for me. Call it hormones, a cranky thyroid, low metabolism - whatever - but several other programs have not worked. Thus far, with Noom, I'm down 8 lbs. and encouraged and hopeful. Logging my meals and interacting about the types of food, stressors, and all of the other dietary data has been good. The app works for me and I haven't had any issues with anything (yet- and hopefully won't). It's good that it takes only a few minutes each day and I like the coach and group interactions - I can participate in as many or as few as I am able or choose to do.
The writing style is light for the most part, but sometimes I have to read and then re-read the technical and science-type info - to get it to sink in - but for the most part, it's helpful and informational. I'm not fond of, nor do I think it necessary, to have the symbols (@#$%!) that indicate coarse language - I could do without that.
I like the food rating system of green-yellow-red and realizing that I truly can eat anything - but I just need to watch certain things - and for me - this has worked.
I'm not sure if I understand the total length and breadth of the course. I really need to lose quite a bit of weight - and I'm not sure if this program lasts a certain number of weeks, or if I can use it indefinitely to get to a realistic, sensible weight for myself. I could see that it might take a year to get where I want/need to be. And I'm not really sure if Noom will take me that far. More info on that would be very helpful - and I haven't been able to find out about that via the website.

Coach contact is surprisingly good. The general idea of the program is quite sound. No way to go back to the goals you fill out periodically. Would be good for them to reappear periodically--are they stored anywhere. Psych tips are very helpful. But there are too many acronyms and important things are brought up just once (then sometimes referred back to by confusing acronyms). Group page is only moderately helpful. Conversation not well organized into permanently accessible threads. It seems as though only a few participate. No way to share weight loss numbers with others--how about challenge groups. Or comparisons with progress of average participants. Calorie and step counter is nice, but no way to look at long term performance on either. One specific--as of Week 5 Noom has said nothing about vitamins. Yet we are often drastically modifying diets, esp. reducing red meat. This surely must impact iron and other vitamins and minerals.

I like Noom for its accountability - the daily weigh in, food logs, and recording of steps and other activity. I feel engaged with the program all day. I think the daily "lessons" are very interesting and informative, but sometimes feel a bit overwhelmed by the amount of information. As a retired senior, I understand that Noom is geared for younger people or those who are working, but usually I can adapt most interactive tasks so they have relevance to me. For example, I don't have challenges in the break room I need to deal with, but I am tempted by free samples in *** or the grocery when I shop. 10,000 steps for me is a day hike, so I also have adapted my step and exercise goals to my fitness level.
I like to read the comments in "My Group", but don't like to post. I think the group component may be helpful for many people.
You must be comfortable with a smart phone to use Noom. I have had a couple of challenges with the technology as an older person, but have found that my Coach is very helpful in explaining how things work.
I look forward to starting my day with Noom, and am having success with weight loss.

My only "complaint" with NOOM is that so much of the hints, tips etc seem
to revolve around "work" and people living in town.. As a person who doesn't work outside the
home and who is a 52 mile round trip from town, I find this to be a little irritating. I also realize
that most of the people who are on NOOM most likely do live in town and work.
Thanks!

I think it is a good product with a new view of evaluating and tracking calories. I agree that a major improvement would be adding more support help. It’s like there was an unexpected growth spurt without adequate infrastructure. The app has a few bugs in the settings. I couldn’t change the daily calorie setting. It is/was stuck at 1200. Not earth shattering but it is part of a product I’m paying for. It would be helpful to talk to an actual tech person instead of through another person.

I really like the articles and the encouragement, the accountability, the humor and even the quizzes. I do have problems with the step counter not working well or regularly, which I would like to be able to rely on. I've read some of the more negative reviews and while I understand that not everyone is going to have the same good experience with NOOM, it will only be as good as what you make of it. I'm going for it, and I need the accountability. Thank you.

Great app! I really like noom but it's hard to pay so much when you can do the same thing on free apps. I mean you're paying a lot for articles, a "coach" and a group. The group is just not that active and I didn't care for the layout. It's hard to follow conversations. It's easier to join a *** support group in my opinion. I really liked my coach but you interact with them maybe once a week. Overall it's a great app but I don't think the extras are worth what they charge when I can find that stuff for free.

I like the information obtained on the psychology of weight loss, hormones, how to help you stay on track, etc. When reporting in with your group I rarely get any response and also the texts look mumbo-jumbo with no one commenting on the subject we were directed to comment on. Hearing from your goal coach is only once a week and not enough to feel like “you’ve had a talk.” I agree with the negative comments on billing. I sent an email with a question of why is 2 months charged together rather than $49 a month as stated. I did not get a reply which I am unhappy about. It is near impossible to communicate with the business part of the program. That is scary and I wonder if they will advise me ahead of time as to the next fee due or will they just take it out without pre notification? It is a good idea but Noom is flawed in some respects.

NOOM has been great for me! By focusing on the where, when, and why I eat as opposed to just the what, I am building a healthy relationship with food that I hope will last the rest of my life. I truly enjoy reading the articles each day, and they are helping me tremendously. Weight is falling off, and I feel confident that I will reach my goal (eventually) AND be able to stay there. I highly recommend this program to anyone struggling with weight and who has failed repeatedly on other plans.
While the overall plan is excellent, the more personal aspects of the program are a bit lacking. My group isn't very involved. I see posts from the same 5 or 6 people every day, but when I look at the list of people in my group it is huge. I wish there was incentive built in to promote more use of this feature, as I feel it has a lot of potential to help a lot of people. Also, my individual goal specialist seems to just be going through the motions. She reaches out to me when her side of this thing tells her to, about once a week. It takes her a few days to respond when I write to her, and when I have questions or ask for advice she pretty much just answers with the cookie cutter responses she was trained to give. This is another aspect of the program that has a lot of potential to be very helpful, but falls short due to slow and generic responses. Maybe the goal specialists just have too many people to deal with on a one on one basis, or maybe mine just isn't really into her job. Either way, it shows as a shortcoming on the user end.
