Noom is a great tool for healthier living. Keeping track of calories is fairly easy. The program is somewhat limited as far as the lists of foods listed to choose from but it is possible to enter food items that are not listed.
I like the tracking of steps on the phone as long as it is on your body. The challenge of increased steps each day has been a great incentive to me. The additional options for added workouts is an advantage.
It would be nice if this programs was linked to a fitbit or a similar device. There are times when I do not have my phone on me and the steps are not tracked.
I enjoy the humor and the tips for improving your health. Sometimes the initials for the different suggestions get confusing. This program helps explain some of the physiology of losing weight and gives me a reason to do certain things.
I am not sure about the group page. Maybe the amount of people in the group needs to be limited and a "get to know you" time be emphasized. I do like having a group leader. Very encouraging. The coach is also an incentive to share goals and successes/ failures.
For the first time in my life, I have a better relationship with food. Noom's program makes sense and the support I receive from other 'Noomers" is amazing.
I have been participating in the program for a put 6 wks. I have lost 15 lbs. The psychological information on why we gain weight has been very helpful. I do recommend the program
I've been using Noom now for about 10 weeks and it is fantastic. I liked the fact that you don't buy food and they give you ideas every day on the app. I've tried other diets but this is really a lifestyle changing approach which has resulted in me losing about 20 pounds so far, and eating much healthier.
Makes me think about everything I put in my mouth. I used to think that saying, ‘A moment on your lips, forever on your hips’, was just that - a funny saying. But really being conscious on what I am eating, I can see a direct correlation more to what you eat verses how much, when eating ‘green’. The daily ‘lessons’ keep it fresh and foremost on my mind, so that ‘mindful’ eating becomes natural.
I started Noom after a co worker told me about it. I'm only trying to loose about 7 pounds total, but I hadn't been able to do it. I'm down 5 pounds and fluctuate down another pound. I had been trying to go to the gym, but loose motivation pretty quickly because it's boring and nobody holding me accountable. Noom makes me account for everything. But..I'm also working out at home with my fitbit and that's been a huge help.
One thing I really like about Noom are the Noom nerds. I love the writing and sense of humor put into it, but it really is a lot of reading everyday. I'm one of those folks who prefers to be on the side lines and read comments, I don't participate much, but it's still helpful.
I think the only thing I don't like is how we log our meals. I eat the same breakfast most days, but I still have to add each component. It'd be easier if I could save that meal with the total calories and then just click on that each day. Nerds, is there a way to do that?
For me, the cost is a bit high, I didn't get a good deal. But when I think about quitting, I have to ask myself if I'll really keep up with it. Yeah, probably not.
I'm enjoying the learning process. You always here ppl say it's not a diet it's a lifestyle choice. And that's what I get from Noom. I'm more mindful of what I eat and what I'm going to eat for the day. I'm learning more about making better choices as far as food and excerising and being more active.
I like the way that I can log my food intake and analyze the different food categories green, yellow, or red. And to know if I want to splurge I log it and stay within my caloric budget, including restaurant meals.
My only concern is weighing myself every day, but it's part of the routine so I'm dealing with it. I'm down about ten pounds and I feel good, I can see the different in my neck line and clothes. When I don't excerise I can feel the difference.
I like this program better than diets. This is a life change not just food changes.
I think they do a pretty good job with the service. I like their information on being healthy and I'm learning a lot about what I'm eating. I have been losing weight as I'm sticking to my goals and I'm staying in my daily calorie count. Some feed back would be, I see some spelling errors in the information which I don't think you should see based off of the price of this service. I wish there was a web interface so I could post messages more, I believe I can only chat with my couch and my group on my phone which can get challenging without a physical keyboard. Also, I know Noom is for everyone but there are times I feel like this is geared more for older woman. Most of my group's demographics seems to be that way and I feel a little like a fish out of water in that respect. Also, I think the billing should be easier and more transparent for all users. Should be able to do more though the website as well as the app. Thank you.
I think it is great. It is good to check in everyday and very helpful advice. I am changing my eating habits.
To me NOOM means Not Only One Measure. I love that there is not a forbidden fruit aspect. Nothing is off limits. Moderation, understanding and persistence are the keys with a dabble (rather big) of support and encouragement. Nobody is perfect, we all have mishaps but can learn and recover. We can measure success in different ways so we hopefully can always see a progress, Maybe the scale moves in the right direction, maybe we need a new smaller belt, or even we just feel the best we have in a ling time. This in no one single answer but many measures of success with Noom
Absolutely love NOOM. I have already recommended it to co-workers because everyone is seeing my progress.
It keeps my accountable while teaching me a process to improve myself with their helpful tips.
I have had a very good experience with Noom. I'm 7 weeks in and really appreciate all of the information, the coaching and tips it offers. I have been successful so far and look forward to achieving my goals and changing my lifestyle permanently.
I like the program. Been working on it for 5 and 1/2 weeks and have lost 10lbs. Since I am senior citizen and dont work out much, I am pleased. Would recommend to anyone. It is more for working people as the psychology involved refers to situations they encounter in the work place like treats in the break rooms etc. but I am constantly learning things I can use and good advice.
Mind blown at how basic the content and how big the results are. Noom helps you restructure your relationship with food. It encourages healthy weight loss and the a healthy relationship with food. Its not about "good" or "bad" food. It's not about deprivation. It's about making small yet sustainable lifestyle changes.
You! I knew you were going to break my mental wall with much needed dieting! It did and gave me so much more...
Stimulating articles, people to support each other, calorie counts with mindful eating (color codes identifying good and not so good food choices)
Activity tracking, and encouraging responses! Thank you for providing the most interesting and interactive weight management I have come across! As a nurse and consumer I LOVE your program!!!
I am really loving Noom. The support from the coaches and community is so helpful. I thrive when I’m logging what I eat and the encouragement it like no other program. The one negative thing I wish could be improved is the data base when logging food which is oftentimes wrong. Otherwise I am very pleased!
I have been with the Noom program for 5-6 weeks now. I think it is a good program. I enjoy the one-on-one with a goal specialist. The group one is nice for those who like to share or offer ideas to others in the program. I'm a bit shy of groups and tend to enjoy connecting w/goal specialist. The psychology behind Noom and how it is effective is quite interesting. Learning about the Green, Yellow, and Red of foods is great. I have been on other diets (***). This plan is somewhat different. Showing you why you have trouble keeping weight off and the process of making life style changes to help you for a lifetime. It is very educational and you want more imput (Johnny-5). Now on to more lessons!!!
Fabulous program! Focus on our relationship with food, the impact of the subconscious mind and other important psychology of eating information is included. A major part of successful weight loss is creating new habits. That's what this program does. My challenges with the program is a fire hose of information that is not easy to return to. I love the personal coach and group support.
