I love Noom. It has been great for me so far. I love the challenge of getting in my steps each day and keeping within my red, yellow, and green calories. I also look forward to the very helpful information I receive every single morning when I open the App. I feel logging all my food and steps, etc. holds me accountable. I am a member of a large group of other Noom users and it is great to go on there and see what others have to say and to get support and give support. I never have any issues accessing the App. However, some of the food I log has the incorrect nutritional information, but there is a way you can flag that it is wrong. My coach only talks to me once a week, but claims if I need her, I can reach out in between. My group coach is pretty good at posting and putting things out there that make us users think and post. It is all good and I am losing weight, so that is even better!!

I like the program except for one thing. It has been mentioned before, was not expecting to pay full amount up front. I was lead to believe I could make monthly payments.

Not sure why people think Noom is a scam. I got exactly what I was promised, the app, the support, the coach, the group, the (copious amounts) of information daily. I lost 10 pounds in the first 4 weeks. Easy to follow, easy to understand. And for those who wish to cancel at the end of their two free week preview, there is a BIG link to ‘cancel my account’. My cost was $129 for a four month program, so about a dollar a day. It works for me. It might work for you.

I like getting daily insights into making life style changes that do make a difference!

Noom is an excellent way to learn about nutrition and health. The logging of meals needs more varieties - but I’m in Canada so that might be why some items aren’t available. I like having the support group and goal coach. You will only get out of it what you put into it so be prepared to do the work and you will succeed with Noom!

I like this program a lot! I think they are on the right track. I feel more in control of my nutrition and fitness in a way that is sustainable. I lost 8 lbs in my first 6 weeks and have 10 more to lose, which Noom estimates I'll complete in another 8 weeks! The program can be "done" on the app in about 10 minutes a day, but of course you will need to spend additional time completing your fitness steps and preparing your healthy food. However, the way you approach your fitness and nutrition is very flexible, so you can eat things that you like (within reason!). The app notifications are reasonable and help me remember to keep on track, without being intrusive. The Coach and Group are helpful ways to increase accountability. Every day, Noom tries to teach you a little bit more about creating a healthy relationship between yourself and your nutrition & fitness and helps guide you through plateaus and slip-ups.
I think some things could be improved with the app, mostly the food logging experience. It's effective, but sometimes a little clumsy since you must select a number rather than being able to type one in. Especially when I weigh my food, this becomes cumbersome. However, I've found my ways of going around these issues.

There is a lot of information to absorb everyday. It is very helpful information for helping to get into the beneficial mindset to lose weight. My group has been very supportive and active with the activities. Does not take into consideration if you are already using a successful diet, but I made some adjustments to accommodate the Keto diet.

I love the Noom program, it has taught me how to eat smaller portions and be healthier, and how to have a better relationship with food.

This is a great program to help start a new path in learning what being healthier means for you. You can lose weight at a pace you are comfortable with. Very insightful information about your health and what it all means. The personal coaching they sell you on is kooky and generic. It has been worth it for me as kooky and generic the coaching seems, it does add a slight more accountability in my opinion. I have lost 20 lbs in 7 weeks using this program to help track and educate myself. My goal is to lose 10 more, then maintain and work on strength building.

So far, good. I would rate it a five if I haveno problems canceling after my four months.
The program itself is very informational, but I think priced too high compared to other weight loss programs.

As with anything there are pros and cons. As a whole, I'm really enjoying my Noom experience, the coaches are responsive and helpful, the article are interesting and relevant, and it seems to be working! The app is a little confusing to use at the beginning, but with practice it becomes easier. There's also this air of mystery surrounding Noom, people have heard of it, but no one really knew what it entailed until someone started using it. I didn't know anything about it, other than it was marketed as better than weight watchers for millennials, until a friend started using it and told me about it. It has helped me eat healthier, become cognizant of my food choices, change my food habits, and lose weight!

Overall I have found Noom to be very satisfactory. Both my coaches are attentive and active. The psychology is really good at making me think more about my choices and even when I sit down to eat it has helped me to become more mindful of how I eat and what I'm eating. No more shoveling it in without thinking about it.
I do wish the units were a bit different in some food choices, for example, I rarely use more than a tablespoon it is generally just a teaspoon of dressing and a splash of vinegar. However at this time I am unable to choose that measurement. Sometimes I will have a cup and a half of coffee and I don't have that to choose from either. These are minor things really but something I've personally wished was available

I have enjoyed this process and the daily communication. I will say, that the count days are always off by a day because I signed up late at night and started the program the next day. You start the count as if I could do the program that very day of sign up. Can you give an option to start the first day as 24 hours later maybe?
The flaws I see with the program are all the acronym references. I cannot keep up with those nor can I remember what they mean. You tell us to read something, but I can never find where that article is. So, I think some information sheet with acronymns would be a good referral tool in the overall menu. AND, then some instructions for where the read articles are.
Okay, so now I'm starting to worry about when I complete this program how I cancel. Will you give us an option on how to do that once goal is hit? I don't want to get stuck with carrying on a program once I meet my goal. Why do these other folks who reviewed your program feel this way? Please be upfront with the cancel process. Otherwise, the program is working for me, because I am accountable to the calories for my weight loss to get me to goal. But, alot of that comes from my own head too.

Noom is really helping change my mindset on weight loss. Having a coach that helps through all the ups and downs has helped me stick with the program and see actual results; opposed to crash diets and fads that I have tried previously.

The daily logging in of food is the real strength of this program, and it's easy way to keep track of your calories. Did not find the use of group useful .

Noom is good - not perfect. It's a useful tool, and for many people I'm sure it's perfect. It's clearly designed for eager millennials (with desk jobs) and not for older, blue collar folks like me. I like the meal tracking app, although the database isn't quite up to ***l, yet, and while I enjoy the group and posts by the Coach, I find participation is minimal, with only 6-7 people posting *ever*, and days going by with no dialog at all. The daily blog posts are cheerful and rah-rah, and I try to override my inner cynic.

I didn’t have some of the challenges that others had with transparency over the fee. It was very clear to me that the trial was $1 and after 2 weeks a few would apply. Having said that, I never tried to cancel so I can’t comment on how easy or hard that process is.
Over all I like the program and I think they put a lot of time into the psychology of weight loss, however, sometimes it’s too much info. I wish the info was provided at a slower pace so I could properly read and absorb it all.
I like how they code food and I like how it’s allowed me to continue to eat what I want, just in the appropriate portions.
The 1x1 coach is more of supportive voice vs a coach. The group you’re in is as good as you make it. If no one contributes, it’s not very helpful! That’s on the individuals though, not Noom ...

I am not losing much weight but it has made me much more aware of how much I eat and understand why I am not losing the weight.

Overall I've enjoyed my experience with Noom so far. Their program is different than any other I've tried, the educational information is refreshing, it's easy to contact a coach, the app is user friendly, and customer service is quick to respond. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the cost (I had to pay upfront instead of month-to- month which was a HUGE hit on my budget) and things the app lacks, such as a water tracker (the coaches tell you to just track it with/as your meals or snacks which is pointless if you're trying to take a look at how close you are to your daily goal) and a recipe builder (I have to use other apps to calculate it and then find something similar in their food lists). I'm definitely sticking with it through the time I've paid for, but unless they offer a way for me to pay less than $180 at a time, I wonder be renewing. I get that it covered like 8 months, which makes it cheaper per month than even my gym membership, but all at once is ridiculous.
PS For those who have had trouble cancelling, try typing "cancel" in a message to your one-on-one coach - I used the word in my message to her and got an autoreply with a link to cancel; she also told me she has received a message saying I had canceled (I didn't) which is why I didn't hear from her for two weeks.

Feedback could be a little more frequent.
