Review: I paid for the site for one month at 19.99 after a few days I was not able to sign back in to my account and nobody responds to customer service issues. I am nor even sure they have customer service. I have emailed several times but no response and still have the issue. My main concern at end of monthly service I will be charged again since I can't sign in to cancel. My user name is [redacted] on the site and email I used was [redacted]. please at least see if they can fix problem and respond in a timely manner I have had issue for 3 days with no response.Desired Settlement: To fix the issue and be able to use service I paid for.

Review: OKCupid has blocked access to my account for over two weeks w/o explanation. When I tried to fill out their complaint form it asked me to "prove you are human" by typing in a code but did not provide a code. So they've eliminated any way for their members to submit complaints. Comments in dozens of websites from other OKCupid members indicate that hundreds of people have been experiencing the same issue since April 2014. OKCupid takes people's money then denies them access to the site. Fraudulent on its face.Desired Settlement: I want access to my account, an explanation for why I was targeted in this manner & full access to OKCupid's customer service.

I was banned from OkCupid for no reason. I tried emailing them and calling them. I have been researching OKCupid ever since. It turns out I am not alone at all. In fact, I found out OKC has been involved in some fraudulent activities on their site. For example, the moderators have access to your private messages which do they do read and will also make public at times. What I found odd is when you find a fake profile or a profile in violation of the rules, it is not always addressed. I flagged a profile containing nude pics multiple times, but it wasn't taken down. I guess the male moderators liked the pics so they deemed it ok. To test my theory I reported a profile containing nude pics of a not so attractive person. It was taken down immediately.

The company which runs OKC also runs [redacted].

I chose OKC because it is free. However, this is far from a professional site. There is a reason it grades out as an F.

Review: I created an account [redacted] and signed up for 19.95 service then cancelled. Since then I have not been able to log into my account. I have called okcupid several times leaving my number, email and information they have asked for.

Noone has returned my call.

I called Match.com who owns okcupid and was redirected to this useless number by a guy named Abraham. [redacted].Desired Settlement: I want access to my account and a refund for is awful service.

Review: Since February *, okcupid has had a block on my outgoing emails. The reason I know is because after having sent numerous messages to other members since February *, I have not received any views or messages from the members I have been contacting. I have contacted them four times in recent days asking that the problem be resolved,and have received no reply from them and the issue has not been fixed. My user name on the site is [redacted] . Also,even though instructions are given on the site as to how to change one's email address,the site will not allow me to do so.Desired Settlement: Would like the outgoing email block removed so I am able to contact other members once again. And would like what ever is preventing me from changing my email address on the site to be fixed.

Review: Hello, I have been a member of OkCupid for years. Literally, years. I love the website and have never had any problems. Until recently. I've received the "Sorry, we're having technical difficulties" message when trying to log in, and after doing some research, found out that that's what the website says when they have banned you and/or deleted your account. Well, I have not done anything inappropriate and I would like my account back. Also, when attempting to contact OkCupid about this, no one replied to my first two messages and then starting with the third one received an error message when trying to send the message. Review: Can't login to my account. My account was deleted or blocked for no good reason. I pay good money for using this site and now I can't access my account.

This company employs dishonest business practices. Specifically, company staff members pose as attractive female users in order to get users to subscribe. The company bans subscribed users who have done nothing wrong in an effort to make it difficult for them to cancel their subscription upon realizing they've been had. The method of banning involves placing cookies on the user's computer and blocking the IP address associated with the user's login attempt. Upon attempting login, the website will render a message asserting technical difficulties, however, general consensus of users acknowledges that this is the message indicating an IP ban from the website. Some users have changed their IP address, removed the cookies, and created a new account to successfully access the website again. However, the business practices employed by the company make it no friend of the consumer. Avoid at all costs.

Review: I joined Okcupid's dating service and can no longer login due to a "technical issue". I am receiving this message in error and would like to lodge a complaint against Okcupid for spoofing an error message. I believe I am receiving this message in error because either Okcupid deleted my user account without just cause or simply will not allow me to access my account due to some sort of discrimination. This error message is in fact a spoof because I've checked on the site periodically over a long period of time.Desired Settlement: I would like my account either restored or deleted completely from their servers.

Review: I joined OK cupid and established my profile using my email address [redacted] I spent several hours honestly answering many questions while building a profile based on personal, and usually private, information. For one day I was able to use OkCupid website to view and communicate with potential candidates who might match my profile characteristics. On day two, every time I attempted to log into OkCupid I received this message: Sorry, we're having technical difficulties right now. Check back later. This has been going on for one week. I have emailed their "contact us" department two times and have received no response. Friends have confirmed they have access to the website and the website is in fact not having technical difficulties.Desired Settlement: I would like OkCupid to explain what has happened. Review: The webpage [redacted] had an account with me from Fall of 2013 and tracked my computer's personal IP to instigate a ban from their webpage without reason or my acknowledgement. Upon taking this action, [redacted] had coveted personal and legal information of mine including: phone numbers, address information, and other personal property. The website had been given reputation for taking no responsibility for these illegal actions as had been shown in many reviews. However, by withholding illegal information and tracking IP's they are breaking universal wiretapping laws and laws of national security.Desired Settlement: Removal of IP lock and wiretapping interference with F.C.C. IL laws for civilian intercommunication. Forfeiture of all personal information of user(me).

Review: I am including an email letter I sent to OKCupid as a way to tell you about my problem, thank you. I have been on this site for about 5 years and all of a sudden and with no prior notice or explanation, have been banned, and instead of notice, the site pretends by stating the site has technical problems when in fact the site is up and running. There are several other members who are also very upset at mysteriously being banned, provided no reason, and receiving an untrue message on the site that the site has technical problems. As you will notice in my letter, I have no idea why, what appears as a callous and unprofessional move on the part of OKCupid, has been done to me. Hello OKCupid, I live with my son. He attends Stanford University Online High School, he is gifted. He is trying to decide what college to attend in the fall. He is a natural storyteller. When he was a child, friends would listen to him spin a story out of thin air, and he'd also make up games for them to play. My son has been for years in an online video gaming group as a head writer, they participate in tournaments, and when they win, they donate all their money to Child's Play, an organization that gives video games to children's hospitals worldwide. He is a little worried about me because I am so upset that I got banned from OKCupid, He knows my feelings are hurt, and that I have no idea why. I'm a middle aged woman who has a desire to share my life with a man, and I especially feel this way as I'm so close to an empty nest - my precious son will be a nervous and excited freshman surrounded by hundreds of kids in the same boat in college. I'm a researcher and as I put on my thinking cap and racked my brain to try and recall - had I done something wrong - what could it be??? From the beginning, several years ago, when a friend told me about your site, and I discovered it had been created by Harvard folks, it made such sense as it is so clever. I've enjoyed answering the questions - well over 1,000! And I had fun writing my profile - I love to write, love word play. I guess I can apologize for what ever I've done - although I have no clue! Review: For the second time, the following difficulties have occurred for me as an OK Cupid customer. When I attempt to access the site, I get a "server error" message which then directs me to the "OK Cupid" assistance page, or something like that. When I request help and send multiple messages, I don't get a response. The last time I got a response after several weeks. This time I have had no response, am locked out of the site, while I have received messages on my e-mail letting me know someone wants to contact me. I have had it with OK Cupid and I don't want to receive anything more from them. I want to confirm that my account is deleted so I don't have to be concerned about this anymore. And I will be free and easy about my experience, believe me (not that anybody is REALLY going to care, but, who knows, maybe there are a lot of other people experiencing the same thing).Desired Settlement: Someone talks to me from OK Cupid and lets me know my account has been deleted. That person should know that I will let them know what I think about OK Cupid and my experience with them.

Review: After purchasing OKCupid's membership "A-list" status for $19.95+tax for one month on November 30th, I was able to access their dating website for about 1 week before I was apparently banned for no reason sometime over the past weekend. There was no notification of breach of contract on my behalf. I was therefore unable to use the rest of my subscription as I had hoped to no fault of my own. My funds were not returned either. I contact the customer support team for the past 3 days to no answer. This leads me to believe they are practicing unethical and faulty business practices and are putting forth some type of scam. They basically took my money for a monthly subscription and ran away with it after arbitrarily blocking me. Maybe its because I don't fit their image? I dont know, but its very upsetting and disturbing. Can you please contact them over this issue and at least have them contact me?
