OK cupid is filled with online dating scammerI stupidly fell for a scam from an member of OK cupid's online dating community and lost a significant amount of money (19040.00) There were multiple people involved in my scamthe scammers use US phone numbers, and they have scammers physically located in the US who are "finders" where they seek you out on the dating websites, meet you in person, learn person information about you to determine if you'd be a good candidate for the scam (e.g., single women over **, recovering from an illness, recently experienced a life changing event, etc)This is so scammers don't waste their time In my case, a man that I met on OK cupid came to my house times before and during the time I was being scammedHe impersonated an Army soldier (wore his Army uniform to my house each time he visited and I have since verified with army military police that he is not enlisted in the army) This man disappeared after I sent my money to the second scammer Email IP addresses from my scammers came from the US, Nigeria and SingaporeThese online scammers have a very sophisticated network of people working together I've reported the scam to the ***, ***, *** and local policeI reported the scammer to OK cupid as wellAfter being scammed, I continued to get contacted on OK cupid by other online scammersI've reported more than to additional users that I've identified as scammers to OK cupidI was able to identify these scammer by doing reverse *** image searches and finding pictures and information on the real people whose pictures were stolen by these scammersI reported each and everyone to OK Cupid and they were very inconsistent in their response in removing the scammers' profiles from the siteI've repeatedly ask that someone from OK cupid contact me to discussI have yet to hear from OK cupidThis is a serious issue and OK cupid is not doing enough to protect it's members from these scammers

I also called ***, the *** *** of Okcupid Customer Service took my information, including the specific
financial transaction number of my payment, and told me that they would forward my request for a refund to Corporate at OKCupid I have never heard back from them about this issue
Since I paid for months and only was allowed to use weeks of premium service, I do not feel that OKCupid honored its contract with me The same day that my complaint with Revdex.com was sent to OKCupid, my account was closed on OKCupid

Signed up with OkCupid a few weeks ago in hopes of meeting someone special. I hit it off with a few matches this past week but, to my surprise, I became unable to log in to my account. According to the error message, OkCupid is "having technical difficulties". I could not create a new account either.

A search online returned numerous explicit complaints from previous customers who experienced the same issue. The reason for the "technical difficulties"? OkCupid flagged the users and decided to close their accounts. No explanation given, no investigation on their part into whether that customer was truly a problem, no chance for the customer to state his or her case. Nothing.

As for me, I have no clue why my account was suddenly shuttered. My profile was clean, I had polished it to a pretty impressive state---both in terms of pictures and text content---and I was thoughtful in every message that I wrote. Not that I should have to worry about whether OkCupid likes me as a person or not. Dating websites should not be in the business of judging their customers and deciding who gets to meet a match and who doesn't.

I have no intention of using OkCupid again. Ever. But I want more. I want them sued. I, as a customer, have rights. I have the right to service like every one else. I have the right to know if my account has been closed! Geez, how is this a matter of debate?!? In what world is it acceptable to close someone's account and say not a word about it?

And, lastly, I have the right to know why my account was shuttered. I want to see OkCupid exposed for its overreaching and unethical tactics. None of this has a place in today's world.
