Review: Good day, I have not been able to log in my Okcupid account for several weeks.I could sign in before,but for no reason I am not let doing it again.I wrote several email letters to techsupport,but nothing happened.When I try to change my password,write to techsupport,It always says "internal error".Also it always says "wrong login or password",though before I used them successfully.Right now my personal information and pictures are available for other users and I am not allowed to change anything,restrict access to my profile,disable or delete my account,which leaves me no right to control my personal information.Desired Settlement: okcupid staff must fix the problems above shortly and provide assistance that a great amount of users ask for.

Review: My account GirlTimePower was deleted, but I get no answer as to why. I violated no rules. I am an ex-wife simply looking for the right man on their site. My brother-in-law complained with his account and they deleted him too.

Texting potential people is my only way to communicate well. I am deaf so it makes it difficult to find people. I am also wary of new people so I tend to be picky and shy to reply to some.Desired Settlement: My account to be re-instated.

I have no browser add-ons or any new security since this issue began. Review: I have been using OK Cupid for awhile, have have even purchased services from them. All of a sudden out of the blue I have been unable to log into my account. It keeps saying technical difficulties, and when I researched this via a Google search I found out that they had blocked my IP address. I am also still getting e-mails form them, so not sure if they deleted my profile, or not, but I am unable to access it. I have written them twice asking what happened,and why my IP address was banned. I also asked for a reimbursement of service I have paid for tootling $7.32 that I am unable to use now. I said either reinstate my account, or reimbursement, and explain why my account was blocked? I just e0mailed my bank writing in a fraud complaint since they would not respond to me whatsoever, or reimburse me. I just sent them another e-mail today telling them that I am making a fraud complaint against them.Desired Settlement: I want my account reinstated, and maybe even given complementary upgraded serve since this was a big inconvenience for what reason?

At this time, I have been contacted directly by OKCupid regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because: Reason behind so called complaints were not given, and resolution of stopping cookies ban for whole WiFi thus not allowing other members to use OK Cupid from same WiFi. Their banning practices are discriminative,and shady thus why they don't want to give details own any bans, because they feel they do not need to keep any, plus it keeps them out of trouble. I have made several complaints of Nigerian Scammers on their sites, but nothing happened to those people. That is why it makes me suspicious that their only reason fro banning me was that they recited a complaint, but gave no reason for it. They then sited their they can do anything they want clause,and don't need to explain anything.

Review: This site has been down for days with no further excuse than 'technical issues'. Nothing has been sent to say why it is down or how long it might be down. I have spoken to others that have had their accounts randomly deleted or conversations blocked. These people I've spoken with have also noted that when searching for people, oftentimes people with obscure or different qualities are omitted from the search. I myself have run across this problem. The site says that all are welcome, but it is starting to look like only Caucasian Protestants and Christian/Catholics are allowed free range, and of them, mostly only the women.Desired Settlement: I, and many others like me, would like to see these problems solved and eliminated from the site. Repair the problems, and allow all members free range over the searches as stated for the free users.

joined site a few weeks ago. what a joke. multiple men initiated contact in "liking" me, most I did not respond to. the 6-8 I did, would then have acct deleted w/in a day or two. it was so obvious to me I even contacted the company but of course they had an explanation.
I emailed back and forth w/ a fake person for two weeks. when I called them on their stuff they disappeared too, of course.
I think the company makes fake profiles and uses men's pictures for their own benefit. they don't really have that many decent men to choose from so they fabricate them.

Review: I signed up for a feature in the fall that had an auto-renewal. I downgraded my account long before that auto-renewal date, and today they charged me. I have attempted to contact the company and there is no customer service. I went onto my account and downgraded the feature again. Every time I refresh my browser it tells me I'm still signed up for the feature and will be auto-billed on May **. There seems to be absolutely no way to cancel this feature. I want my $44.95 back for the first charge, and I better NEVER be charged again.Desired Settlement: Refund and permanent downgrade and lose all my billing info. Review: I have been a member of okcupid for about 10 years now and many times during that tenure I have paid for a-list. Just recently I upgraded again and within a day or so my account was unreachable/blocked. I have sent numerous emails to tech support via email and via their website but have yet to receive a response even though a total of 5 days has passed since my first email. I finally received a partial credit even though I was unable to use their service for even one day due to account blockage. Review: I am concerned that my account on OK Cupid has been hacked. I have been trying to login to no avail for over a week. I keep getting onscure error messages, i.e. "robot meltdown." When I requested a password change, assuming maybe I forgot my password, I entered my username and I was told that a new password would be emailed to the address they haveon file. But I never received the email. Which tells me that perhaps someone broke into my account and changed my address, and who knows what they are doing in my name?

I have emailed OKCupid three times in the last week and have not gotten any response. I have looked online, but there is no phone number for OKCupid for customer service, so I feel stuck. I was an A list member and was terminated without notification until I inquired about never receiving emails for weeks. I was told my messages were flagged and I was banned. I asked and did not get clarification as I was harassed by men many times on the site and started to 'fight back.' Why should I be deleted for defending myself from aggressors? Moreover I was told I was issued a refund which I never received.

I want to know where my refund is, why I cant defend myself from harassment and why I wasn't notified my account was closed.

Review: On Dec [redacted] I opened an account with Okcupid. After filling out my profile and answering some questions, I noticed that on my profile a label was created by their system identifying me as "Drug Friendly" at the top of many other labels they created on behalf of me without my consent. See attachments.

I have huge issue with this as this is completely subjective and makes me look like a drug user or dealer. My only assumption as to why they would label me this is that I have a medical marijuana card and was honest in my medical use and need of this medicine. This label is not a direct answer to a question but an overall generalization because of my answers. I've never directly said I am "Drug-Friendly." My issue is that this labeling was done without my ability to edit or remove it and that the company does not show any of its reasoning behind why I would be labeled as such so as I can make a more educated decision before answering these questions.

This term "Drug-Friendly" leaves employers to assume any horrible illegal drug as it does not show any context and is so general. This could affect my employment and other potential opportunities. For this reason, I find this incredibly offensive and within the bounds of "Defamation."

I even took steps to delete my responses to the questions I answered about my medical use of marijuana and was notified that I have to wait a day before I can protect myself from this crud loose use of the phrase, "Drug-Friendly." I contacted their support team and included screenshots requesting this label to be removed for my protection since I find this sort of general judgmental labeling defamation, but have not gotten any response.

Since this term is so subjective and created by their company without my ability to edit/remove or even see what factors into such judgment and labeling so I can make an educated response, I would like its removal as this could adversely affect my job or other future opportunities. This was created by their system, not me, and is incredible that in today's age this behavior was supported and approved by their executives. I have done nothing wrong or partake in anything illegal, but this label makes it out that I do. That is incredibly damaging.

I've begun a log of my correspondents including all my attempts to get this resolved. I update it daily and include screenshots and will continue to do so as well as report any adverse or damaging effects as a result to this labeling as proof of this label's impact to my character. I will continue to do so and turn all materials over to an attorney if this can't be resolved amicably. I'm starting with you, the Revdex.com, as most things can be resolved through this medium thanks to your company and history in helping those that have been wronged.

Review: The company's website from a computer has absolutely no options to remove a payment option or cancel, so I couldn't get it done from there. My account had been disabled, so even though I wasn't using their service, they still tried to collect. I did eventually figure out how to request that they never charge me again, but the main issue is that they collected payment from me four times in one morning. The one charge would have been enough, but after they realized something was odd about the charge and my account, they tried three more times. It doesn't take a genius to know that that is just wrong.

If my payment didn't go through, they could have contacted me, but they didn't. Instead of calling or emailing, they just kept trying to take my money, and I now have four of their subscription charges pending on my account.Desired Settlement: Given my account had been disabled and I am now cancelled from the service, I expect a full refund of all four subscription charges.

Review: I paid $59.70 for 6 months of premium service. I answered hundreds of questions, answered every message I received, and treated everyone in a respectful and kind manner. I made friends with people on that website.

OKCUPID.COM closed my account for no reason and without explanation. OKCUPID won't return my telephone call, a letter, or answer the emails messages I sent them. Supposedly, OKCUPID does not have a customer service department. Perhaps my account was closed because I did not have a picture on my account. When I had a picture up, I was overwhelmed by too many messages from people I did not want to talk to so I took my picture down.

I received messages from prostitutes, women angry I would not go out with them, angry I would not give them my phone number or email address, or that were angry my picture was not up. These woman may have had bad experiences with others, but I always treated everyone with respect. If that's why my account was closed, its just fair.Desired Settlement: OKCupid.com needs to refund me my payment. I will then repurchase a subscription. I am happy to discuss this matter directly with OKCupid and have requested that they do so multiple times.

I suggest that OKCupid adopt a formal procedure that tells users why they were banned and gives them an opportunity to respond and appeal that decision. OKCupid's policy of giving a false message for closed accounts claiming there are "technical difficulties" is false information and that policy should be changed.

I also called [redacted], the [redacted] of Okcupid. Customer Service took my information, including the specific financial transaction number of my payment, and told me that they would forward my request for a refund to Corporate at OKCupid. I have never heard back from them about this issue.

Since I paid for 6 months and only was allowed to use 6 weeks of premium service, I do not feel that OKCupid honored its contract with me. The same day that my complaint with Revdex.com was sent to OKCupid, my account was closed on OKCupid.

Review: I had two charges on my personal debit card for 9.95 each on February [redacted]. Until today, I've never even heard of [redacted] - nor would I need to... been married 26 years. Called my bank and they are investigating the charges.Desired Settlement: I'd love to see this company brought up on charges. After seeing these charges, I did further investigation. This has happened to several people. Stiffer penalties need to be applied to companies that allow fraudulent charges to be run through their businesses.

Review: My complaint is similar to many others with the Revdex.com and elsewhere. My OKC account appears to have been suspended or deleted for unknown reasons and without any notice. Like many other users, I have only received a "technical difficulties" message when trying to log in. For 2 days. That is laughable! I also made a payment through PayPal to OKC and received a message that it was refunded. My CC statement does not reflect any such refund.Desired Settlement: I request log in privileges so that I can delete my account myself. I want no further association with this service and I certainly do not trust the site or the moderators with my data. I also request an email response explaining what happened with my account or why I was apparently banned. I want a proper refund. Thank you.
