Review: I signed up for A-List service with OkCupid, which mentioned I'd be charged approximately $34.50 for one month of service and that this would run through May [redacted]. The website indicates that I'd be able to cancel by this date in order to avoid extending the service for another month. I saw in my bank account that an ADDITIONAL 34.50 was deducted yesterday, April [redacted] for the month of May. This occurred right before I had planned to rescind my A-List membership. I was led to believe that I had until May [redacted] to make this decision, yet OKCupid still charged me several days in advance of when it said it would with no way to get the money back and no number to call. They also did not respond to my message.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate the money be added back into my bank account, and in addition, I would appreciate it if OKCupid could change their billing policy to make it more transparent to customers.

I am still worried that they do not practice a fair policy towards customers in general when it comes to renewing monthly subscriptions (ahead of the date that they claim they will extend the membership).

Review: My issue stems from their automatic re-billing practice. Should you sign up for 6 months and fail at any point to stop the renewal process, you will be charged for a further 6 months after the initial charge. Should you wish to cancel the service for any reason you will not be refunded. You are being charged for 6 months of service you are not using.Desired Settlement: Ideally I would like a refund from their service. If this is not possible I would like to see them change their billing practices to ensure this does not happen to other people. A company with proper business ethics would stop the premium service until subscription was renewed by end user, not charge people that stopped using their service 6 months prior and simple say "Too bad."

Review: When I try to log into my account it says there are technical issues. I have since learned that they regularly ban accounts for apparently no reason and that instead of telling me about it, they went with that charade. They have since failed to respond to any of my messages trying to find out why I was banned and to reactivate my account.Desired Settlement: I want my account back and I want an explanation as to why I was banned in the first place.

Review: I received four separate charges of 65.72 from okcupid to my credit card with no notification that I would be charged anything and I haven't had an account with Ok Cupid for over 11 months. I've sent multiple emails and have heard nothing from Okcupid in response. I have left a voice mail on the number listed on the Revdex.com site.Desired Settlement: I wish to have all 4 of these charges refunded off my account immediately.

Review: I cannot log into my account, I tired to reset my password using my email and user name but the site say it do not exist.

I emailed them and no reply.

Review: I have contacted [redacted] and submitted feedback via the web form to find out why my account was disabled without any action on my end and without my knowledge. OKCupid has failed to respond to multiple complaints and requests for information. My username was [redacted].Desired Settlement: I want my account reinstated as I was doing nothing wrong. The account was disabled the week of December [redacted] while I was traveling and using secure VPN to access the site. I would also request if you are not able to accommodate this that my current/new account, [redacted], be given free service.

Review: ([redacted]) Joined spent a dollar for SOP. made an account set it up pictures and all. Had the account maybe one week when it suddenly one morning would not work. "staff robot had a meltdown" could not change password "internal error" could not email support "internal error". made a new account ([redacted])sent message to support guess they got my message because that account "broke as well" very next day. its been about 2 weeks I have sent maybe 30 messages with 0 reply's. As a paying customer I want to be replied to I want to know why they have not fixed/banned/ not replied to this account any information.Desired Settlement: reinstate account

Review: Every time I try to log-in to your website I get a message about "technical difficulties." I've sent numerous messages to your customer service to no avail. A quick [redacted] search indicates OKCupid randomly deactivates accounts with no warning, and then plays off the error as "technical difficulties." This is not only completely inappropriate, but wholly unfair. You advertise a website for singles to connect with others, and then randomly deactivate accounts for no apparent reason. I myself had people in my list I was planning to try dates with, but now am unable to find them. You let people put themselves out there, then cut them off at the knees. I feel like OKCupid lures singles for numbers, then cherry picks who they keep unless they are paid members. I work for [redacted], and expect a story on the horizon. My username was [redacted].Desired Settlement: I only want the username and account restored, and for them to reevaluate their business practices.

This company allows people to post pornographic photos. If you write to customer service, they do nothing.

Review: OK Cupid has an account name [redacted] that is using my pictures. I did not set up this profile and it is using my pictures from the world race. This is a phony account and needs to be removed. Also, they have violated copyright law because I own the copyright to the pictures.Desired Settlement: Have the account removed. Re-reimburse me for using my copyrighted photos.

Review: account was suspended without warning and without provocation. I was even IP blocked from the system so I could not make another account. Only way to contact customer service was via email and I got no response. I tried to contact their sister Company [redacted] over the phone. And I asked for Okcupids contact information. But they said it was email as wellDesired Settlement: I want my account reinstated and I want my IP unblocked. I also wants complimentary paid service for the hassle and aggravation for this issue they created

Review: I emailed customer service/technical support to help me get rid of a stalker who was accessing my account through the OkCupid app on his phone. Despite me changing my password multiple times he was still logged into my account. I asked customer support if it was possible could they log me out remotely. The rep told me he was going to change my password to something generic to be safe. Then I went to log in and my account was deleted. I emailed the rep back and the site constantly since then with no response. I informed them that I would be emailing until they responded to me. I have been a member of okcupid for 7 years - this is not how you treat your loyal members.Desired Settlement: I want my account back or at the very least an explanation for the deletion and my IP unbanned.

Review: To whom it may concern,

I've been an registered user of the website www.okcupid.com since september 2012. Earlier this year on June/**/2013 I paid $59.70 USD for a 6 month premium subscription that they call "A-list" membership. As of Nov/**/2013 I'm unable to access the website with my login credentials either via computer or mobile; the site show the following error:

"Sorry, we're having technical difficulties right now. Check back later."

However, after doing research online I've found that this is not accurate and it is widely believed that okcupid.com displays this message when they ban and/or delete members' accounts from the website. I've contacted via e-mail on at least 2 occasions but have not received a response os far.

I would like to know the steps to issue for a formal complaint as my access and premium membership should be reinstated until December/**/2013 or www.okcupid.com must reimburse me for the applicable prorated refund. Furthermore, the website must contact its members (whether paying or non-paying) about any ban or account deletion with the proper explanation or reasons - which has not occurred.

Review: About 7? 8? months ago I was suddenly unable to access my OK Cupid account. When I tried to login it would tell me that they were having "technical difficulties" and to "please try again later". Eventually I found out that my profile had been deleted. I emailed customer service to find out what had happened, but got no response. I was unable to set up a new account using my email address because it said that email was "already in use". So a few months later I got a new email address and set up an entirely new profile (which takes quite a bit of time!). That account was working fine until just this last week when THE SAME THING HAPPENED. Once again, I'm getting the "technical difficulties" error message when I try to login. I tried to set up a new account using my two email addresses, but both of them are, according to OKC "currently in use" and therefore I can't use them. So I set up a THIRD email account but I was blocked from setting up an account that way, too. Clearly my name has been flagged and for some reason I am blocked from OKC. I tried again to email customer service but still have received no response. I have engaged in no inappropriate activities on OKC and I can't for the life of me figure out why this is happening. I am regular person, a [redacted] and single mom just trying to meet someone. What's going on?!?!??!?!?!?Desired Settlement: I would just like my OKC account reinstated.

Review: Like most complaints mine comes from me loosing access to an account I am paying for and then not being able to contact customer service. No matter how many times I try I cannot access my account and I get the "Technical Difficulties" prompt, for the past few days I have tried to get in contact with their customer service, but they do not respond. I don't like my money or my time being wasted.Desired Settlement: I want my account reactivated, and I want to keep my "A-list" services for the remainder of the month I have already paid for, But I want it for free because of the frustration caused and the paid time I have wasted trying to get this resolved. After the month is over I will decide if I want to continue "A-list" out of my pocket or if I even want to remain on the site.

Review: I have an account name "[redacted]" which I cannot log into any longer and wish to have my profile and all the messages restored if they are missing. I have been in contact with a few special women and wish to go on a date, yet I haven't been able to contact them since my account is no longer accessible. I have violated no rules and there is no reason for my account to have been shut down.

I have contacted OKCupid using the only means possible, their website customer feedback email address. I have not received any response within 72 hours.Desired Settlement: Re-instatement of my account (if it's been de-activated) and the contacts and messages I've sent and received so that I can re-establish my connections with my potential dates.
