Review: I have been locked out of my account, without having violated any terms and service agreements. Figuring it was a user issue, I reinstalled the app, swept my phone for bugs, attempted on multiple other devices, but still no resolution. My account has been suspended and I am unable to login, even to delete my personal information. I have called the parent company who excused it as a free service and then tried to convince me to pay for match instead because it could take up to 3 months for my issue to be called attention to. I've used social media to contact them as well as multiple emails, all of which have gone unanswered. This has been continuing for a little over a week and to have been pushed towards another service from the parent company without actually being offered assistance or apologies is unacceptable.Desired Settlement: I want access to account to ensure deletion of information.

Review: I have emailed them once before. They had stated that there was a one time fee for A-list membership. I paid that fee only around 10$. I then found out that it took it out monthly from my account. I looked up how to cancel it via their website but the instructions took me to my account & my account said that there were no fees being removed & that I was not part of the a list even though my bank account proved otherwise. This is when I emailed them (they have no other form of contact) complaining about this & asking how to fix it and I never gotten a response. This is been going on for a few months now and I am extremely frustrated. That is around 33$.Desired Settlement: I just want my money back.

Review: In joined okcupid and created the account "[redacted]." A few days later, I was unable to log into the site. It said technical difficulties or staff robot meltdown. So I created a new account using a different email adress since the one that I intially created was inexplicably no longer able to log in to. [redacted]. That account has now also vanished and the same technical difficulties are appearing. I emailed the company about my initial account and I got no response. I want my inital account [redacted] reinstated. I put a lot of effort into that profile and I am really angry that it is now gone. I didn't do anything wrong and don't deserve for this to happen 2 times and to be ignored by the company.Desired Settlement: I want my account [redacted] to be reinstated.

Review: I was very excited to try out OKC. My best friend recommended it to me. She met her fiance though OKC and had nothing but great things to say about the site so I decided to give it a shot. Everything was great for the first month and then all of a sudden one day it kicked me off and would not let me log in to my profile. This has been going on for about 3 months now. I have tried sending them messages trying to get help I tried calling the number to Corporate but got no help there either. While trying to find answers I have stumbled across MULTIPLE bad reviews and posts on different sites from people that have had the same thing happen to them with their profiles as well. This site is a crock if you ask me! Why have a site claiming to help people meet that special someone and then pull this on the people that join.

Review: I spent $59 for A list level access to website . I have not had a single person contact me . I am not satisfied with the service . I have had 5 fraudulent people contact me . I do not want to be a member of Okcupid A list anymore . I did not pay $59 for people who are committing fraud with fake profiles and pictures to contact me via Okcupid . I want the $59 refunded to me . It's difficult enough to navigate and understand the Okcupid dating website but to include fraudulent profiles where people contact you and lie and manipulate you . This is my first online dating experience is 19 years . I have been emotionally traumatized from my experience . I can't tell who's profile and photograph are real or not .Desired Settlement: I want my credit card refunded for $59 for A list

Review: I have used this online dating website for over two months and just recently have not been able to access my account online. I am told there are 'technical difficulties and to check back later' but I have continued to attempt to access the account and receive the same message. I have attempted to contact their customer service via their website but do not receive any response. Review: My account has been deleted not once but twice and my IP address was blocked. And all I get when I sign in is "Staff Robot had a meltdown" or "We're having technical problems".The first time was on 5/*/14. After emailing several times ([redacted]) I got no answer though I could see the emails were CLEARLY read. So I reset my IP address and made a new account. I paid for an A-List account on 5/**/14. My account was disabled again on 6/*/14.

I have paid for several boosts as well as an A-list. So I've dropped over $70 only to be deleted twice. It's not as though I am abusing the site or attacking member. I am a nice normal person using the site to hopefully meet someone for a serious relationship. Meanwhile creepsters who email me about their fetishes and being tied up are allowed to do whatever they want. What's even more bizarre is that I was chosen as a moderator!Desired Settlement: I would like an explanation about why my account was deleted and I would like it restored ASAP.

Review: I open a okcupid account and my account was blacklisted cause I had argument with a woman online and she was too rude and racist person and told me to go back to Africa and I told her to go back to Mexico and okcupid didn't take any action on her account and shut my down and the okcupid rep was rude to me and send me a nasty email and told me that I was a porch monkey and don't deserve a wife and I would like my account back on before I filed a lawsuit and I would like my refund of my money back from okcupid of 22.95

Review: I was billed by this company and I have never used them before in my life. The customer service line is an automated line where they ask for my phone number and email without letting me know when or if they will call me back. I did not leave my information because I fear that I am being scammed.Desired Settlement: I want to know how and why I am being billed for a service I do not want. I did not know this company existed until they charged me for services I do not want and am not using.

Review: I signed up with OKCUPID on my android app. After two days, I can no longer log on. I have tried different computers and mobile devices. Each time I try to login I get the error message of "Staff robot, had a meltdown, try again later." I have sent emails and asked for a password reset. My emails go unanswered and I never received any password resets.

If I cannot log in I would like my pictures and personal information deleted.Desired Settlement: I would like to gain access to my account again.

Review: As of yesterday, November **, my okcupid.com account was suspended/deleted for no reason and no advance warning,and for no reason that I can think of. I have abided by all of their site rules in my time as a member on their site. Attempts to reach them via their customer contact form have all gone unanswered,like always. Review: On ** July 2013 an account was created on OkCupid by myself. Shortly after, I placed a purchase to "promote myself" for the cost of $2.00. Approximately 3 hours after purchasing aforementioned product I was logged out for no reason and an error came across my screen stating they were having "technical difficulties". The technical difficulties have been on going for the past 24 hours. I provided a written complaint with no response. A check of the website to ensure it was up has been accomplished and everything was working properly for other users. I attempted to reset my password which came back with the message "Email reset link was already sent". An abundance of fellow users have also faced the same issues with OkCupid and having their profiles deleted for NO apparent reason. (If this is such the case.) In no way have I breached terms of use by OkCupid or sent any derogatory messages nor posted derogatory photos to deserve to be "locked" from my account.Desired Settlement: I respectfully request a refund for the products purchased and to have my profile completely removed from OkCupid and any affiliates they may share with. I do not wish to do business with this company if they pick and choose who may or may not login to their system despite some being paying customers. Thanks in advance.

Review: False Advertising says they are: "The best dating site on Earth". Spent considerable amount of time signing up with them a week ago, and previously paid them money. Completed a couple of tests and answered questions. Again for no reason keep getting: Sorry, we're having technical difficulties right now. Check back later. Review: I was suddenly locked out of my profile at okcupid.com. I have done nothing that would warrant a "banning" from the site, though from research it seems that the log in error "technical difficulties, please try again later" means you have been banned. I have heard from people I have met that my profile looks like it has been deleted. I would be very upset if my profile and contacts have been lost.

I was given no warning, and not contacted at all when this happened. There seems to be no phone number at which to reach someone, and for other issues prior to this, the online email form has never been a successful form of communication.

I would like to speak with someone about this. I am not the only one with this issue. I see in fact there has been someone recently with this exact issue and I hope mine can be resolved as well. I have paid for one month of the "a-list' service and have planned to discontinue. If I cannot log in, my credit card will be automatically charged without the chance for me to deactivate. I have until July **.

Review: I have had to delete and then remake my account at least four times with this site. Every time I make a new account, everything is fine, then all of a suddenly I lose the ability to send messages. My profile is still active, I can log in fine, and I will still receive messages, but I cannot respond to them. I have confirmed this by messaging a friend who has an account, and she could not see the multiple messages I sent to her. I am not breaking any of the site rules, yet account after account this occurs. This is supposed to be a tool to help bring people together but instead it just blocks me at every turn. I do not want to keep creating accounts just to have OKCupid removing my messaging ability again and again. I have tried contacting customer service multiple times with no response and obviously no resolution. Review: OKCupid engages is business practices that do not respect the consumer's privacy and is dishonest in how it provides service, as a matter of de facto, if not written, policy.

OKCupid uses unpaid moderators that are chosen seemingly at random from the user base who then are able to see private messages sent between users.

This is extremely disrespectful to the privacy concerns of consumers, especially regarding the personal nature of the services provided by OKCupid.

I am a paying member of OKCupid ($19.99 "A list" subscriber) who's account has been deleted with no explanation or recourse.

My account was deleted for unknown reasons. When I try to log in, it claims "technical errors" and to try later -- when attempted to view the public url my profile is gone. It is a policy of OKCupid to lie to users who are banned and removed from the community and claim technical difficulties. Worse is the practice of ignoring support requests from users that are removed from the community, not even acknowledging the ban (if they deem the ban earned). Even when a user successfully appeals, there is never an admission that the account was ever banned, just an email that reads "We had some technical difficulties with your account recently that may have prevented you from signing in. Sorry! Things should be patched up now, so give it another go!"

This is extremely dishonest and indefensible.

These issues are well documented throughout the internet but especially on a community called [redacted]. I have evidence posted on [redacted].com/r/OKCupid by OKCupid staff explaining how banning works and they admit openly to using these deceptive and unethical practices.Desired Settlement: Stop the deceptive practice of lying to user that are banned and deleted from the service with no recourse. Stop allowing unpaid moderators selected from the user base to view personal messages sent between users during the moderation process.

Review: I once authorized them to charge my credit card to access a-list. I was granted access for a while, but that was removed. It appears the proceeded to charge by card two other times without authorization. They still have not given me access. They have not responded to my emails. I cannot locate a phone number to contact them that works.Desired Settlement: Free year of a-list and remove all charges; improve systems to avoid unauthorized charges; create a phone number where users can call to report issues.
