Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This company is selling defective merchandise that is designed to fail shortly after the warranty has expired. If you look at the reviews for this model and others created by ONCorp since 2010, you will most definitely see a pattern of poor quality, defective, high priced merchandise such as the television I purchased with a retail price of $699.99.
At that price, it should last 20 years, not 20 months. This response adds nothing new to their original response of "oh well, sorry you purchased our defective product, tough luck," and is 100% rejected.
The television is currently at the repair shop, awaiting a determination and estimate of the cost to repair this defective television or if it is even worth fixing at all.
Regards,
[redacted]

Dear Revdex.com,

If the customer is refusing the replacement TV, through a [redacted] store location. We can provide a refund check for the amount the TV was purchased for including sales tax to the customer. The customer will need to return her RCA TV in order for the check to be  mailed to her home address. We will also contact this customer to explain to her these terms as well.

Kind Regards,

Review: I purchased a TV made by this company. The TV was purchased Jan 2012. Model number [redacted], SERIAL number [redacted] Only half the screen is working. Paid for a technician to come out to my house, found out that the panel is defective. ON Corp no longer makes this panel, because of the defect. So my TV is useless. I have called On Corp customer service several times, first time was told they would replace my TV with a refurbished TV, and that they would send me a box to return my TV. Two weeks have gone by and no box has been sent. I have made other phone calls, left messages, and no one will return my phone call now. Companies like Best Buy, returned this make of TV because of this problem and defect.Desired Settlement: I am going to have to purchase a new TV, as I do not trust that anything is going to happen with On Corp. I would like a refund on my TV.

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,

Purched a rca television. A week from warranty expires the picture goes out. Sears sends out a tech and tech says it will be a replacement. After a weeks worth of phone calls. From me NOT on corps . Im told they only process checks on first of every month. And I should get a check for purchase price in about 3 weeks.so four weeks without my tv. Then they tell me the tv I have iwill to get rid of myself. since technology moves so fast I doubt I'll get a tv at same price and same size. ON CORP has the worse customer service I've ever dealt with. If I could give less than zero satisfaction rating it would be a -5

Review: On xmas 2013 I received as a gift from my wife, a RCA 35' Led Digital color T.V., Model no. T235A in Red. The first thing it says to do is to put it on auto scan to lock in all your channels. It never would lock in

any channels. I called RCA so many times. Once it never was opened again I called RCA. I sent TV to them at least two times and it never was opened, it was returned each time. Once it never was opened.

More promises No action! This has been going on since xmas 2013! Hasn't this been more than enough time? I have been more than patient? nothing has been done! Please help me. A new TV, or my money back. Their cheating me and getting away with it.

Thank you,

Sincerely,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: Exchange

Dear Revdex.com,

Review: I purchased a [redacted] from [redacted] March in 2012. The television worked excellent until sometimes early Feb. 2013 when the television would not power up. I contacted [redacted] tech support who then directed me to contact On Corp for technical support? I was advised to unplug the electrical to the TV for 10 to 15 mins and it should "reset" the error. The TV sure enough started working properly again...well for about 2 weeks at which that time the same problem occurred so I repeated the step above. I contacted On Corp Ink in late April to see if there was a recall or what was causing the unit power off because this problem was frequently occurring. There was no attempt to make the problem right by On Corp. The problem has progressed to the point now that the TV will not even power up. I recontacted On Corp Inc in June and again tonight and restated the ongoing issue I was having with the TV. I was advised by [redacted] that the warranty had expired in March and they could send a repair person out for $99 and it did not including repair parts. When I voiced my dislike on his resolve I relayed to him the on the amount of money I spent on the TV purchase, the occurring problems and the fact the unit when the problems first started was within the 12 months of my purchase they should not charge me nothing.... his statement was "the amount of money I spent has nothing to do with the warranty expiring" the tech person laughed and offered no other support.Desired Settlement: Replace my television with a NEW 42" television that's comparable to what I currently have..one that works properly is all that I am asking. I have 2 tube TVs 20 years old with no problems. I purchase my first ever flat screen TV and it last 1 year...[redacted] and On Corp Inc. seems like they could care less about customer service....Just a replacement...that's all!!!!

Dear Revdex.com,

Review: I bought one set of portable dvd monitors and two tablets for my children. They broke and we tried to return them to the store. So we bought another set and contacted the manufacturor ([redacted]) to file a claim to get a replacement product since it was still in warranty. This started in june 2014. One tablet and the other set of dvd monitors broke. We mailed in the first set to the address their customer service dept provided us. They stated to allow 6-8 weeks We received nothing back or any type of contract. We called to check on it about three months later since we havent heard or recevied anything. We called both my husband and I several times. They verified they received the unit back on 6-24-14 but had no tracking information for another unit being sent out. They stated to allow 7-10 days for an update. We followed up again and got the same answer. I asked to speak with a supervisor and talked to [redacted] she stated she would personally follow up and said to allow 2 days and shed call back with an update. Again, we heard nothing. I called back again and talked to another supervisor named [redacted]. He told me they dont have an update. The supervisor that I originally talked to and said shed call be back wasnt even in the office for four days and still told me shed call be back in two days. He stated there was still no updated he would follow up personally again allow two more days. I called back four days later and this person was out of the office too. I talked to another supervisor [redacted]. He stated they havent heard anything from their warehouse on an update still. I said okay I was filing a complaing with the Revdex.com because this is rididculous that it takes five months and they still dont know anything. And that this point my warranty is up at the end of dec. I still have two other products that need to be sent out and replaced but I have been waiting to resolve this one before I sent anythnig else out. Everytime I call there is never an update and nothing gets resolved.Desired Settlement: I just want my unit back and to be able tos end in the other two things that need to be replaced. Im not looking to get anything I didnt pay for just to get things I paid for and have a warranty on to be taken care of especially in a timely mannor although its way beyond that point now. I think they intentionally take so long on thing so your out of your warranty period so they dont have to take care of the issue not to mention their "supervisors" dont follow up and do their job either.

Review: October 25, 2015 I bought a RCA TV from Fry's Electronics. I did not purchase Fry's warranty as they wanted to much but RCA has a one year warranty on their TV's. In Less then two months I noticed a dark blue line running vertically down the left side on the screen and contacted customer service. I was in contact with

[redacted], Customer Service Manager and this was the last correspondence I received from [redacted], I quote, "Dear Mr. [redacted],

We can have the defective picked up by fedex, once picked up, we can have a replacement sent out to you.

Under the manufacturer warranty, it will be replaced with a refurbished unit, same model or newer.

Fedex can pick up Tuesday through Saturday, Wednesday being the earliest we can schedule for, which day would work best?". That was it. I've called, left messages, sent email. I can't get a real person and have received on return calls. I feel that it doesn't take 9 days to have this problem resolved. I have called their repair department and they told me that they didn't handle warranty issues and I would have to contact their corporate office. If a TV going out is not a repair issue, I don't know what is. They would not even assist me in contacting the corporate office.Desired Settlement: This is the quote from [redacted], RCA Customer Service Manager

"Under the manufacturer warranty, it will be replaced with a refurbished unit, same model or newer."

Response:

Hello, This is the information [redacted] provided me, this is a copy and paste of her last email. Also, I was not home at the time but Fedex did pick up the TV yesterday as they gave me no notification of scheduled time for pick up. I was just fortunate that someone else was home when Fedex arrived. They had told me twice before (12/23 and 12/31) that the TV would be picked up on those days but no such pick up was made. Now the question is if they will honor the warranty after such poor customer service and will the replacement arrive in a respectable time, if at all. Thank you for keeping me posted, [redacted]Customer Service Manager [redacted]

Review: I purchased an RCA 32 inch smart TV Model number SLD32A30RQ at a [redacted] located on Mckinley Ave in [redacted] Indiana approximately 4 months ago. On November I turned on my tv to find out that it was not working. I called the 858-[redacted] number and spoke with [redacted]. She told me that RCA had mistakenly sent out an update that affected the functionality of the RCA television. I opted to return the television and in return they would give me a refund. I have been trying ton reach them for the past three days no one actually answers the phone it goes to voicemail. I actually got email response from [redacted] on yesterday and I told her again I just want to return the tv to get my refund. The most frustrating part is she told me in that my email had gotten sent to her junk folder. So I just want my money backDesired Settlement: I would like to have my money back

Dear Revdex.com,

Review: On 04/21/15, I purchased an RCA 32" television from a local electronics store. It comes with a 1 year warranty. On 07/04/15, the T.V. would not turn on. The red indicator light was on but that's all. I called On Corp US customer service and was transferred and hung up on repeatedly. I finally got hold of someone who shipped me a shipping box and UPS label. I shipped my broken RCA T.V. to them on 07/11/15. I have called numerous times and have been told that they are waiting on parts and they don't know how long it's going to take. When I ask to speak to a supervisor or someone who can give me an explanation, they transfer me and hang up on me. They have had my T.V. over a month and it doesn't look like I'll ever see my T.V. again. I bought RCA because it was a brand I thought I could trust. I should have checked the Revdex.com first.Desired Settlement: I want my T.V. fixed, or my money refunded. And I write checks every day. It doesn't take 4-6 weeks to write a check. I'm not interested in any more stall tactics.

Dear Revdex.com,

Review: On September 5, 2014 I have purchased a RCA LED TV from Thank you network at CITI cards rewards. Great TV set, worked like a clock. Almost a year later it started giving me problems. it wouldn't turn on. screen will just stay black. I believe it was september 1, 2015 when I called RCA customer service for help. It was definitely within a one year warranty. Representative troubleshooted the set and scheduled a free of charge visit to my location. Visit was scheduled for september 16, 2015 and the warranty was set to expire on september 5, 2015. I specifically asked the representative what will happen if technician, for any reason, doesn't make it out to me and I was told that as long as I initiated the claim before the warranty expiration, it would be taken care of. even if the appointment had to be rescheduled. no one showed up on september 16, 2015. I called On corp back. at first, the representative was very polite but only up to a point when he saw that the warranty period was over. from that moment on he had no interest in speaking to me unless I provide my credit card number. when I mentioned that no one showed up at the scheduled time and place, I was told that technician was there and was turned away at the door. why would I ever turn away a technician, I asked the representative. he paused, and said that his records indicate that technician was there and that he was turned away at the door. he wanted no part of what I was saying and that the claim was opened prior to warranty expiration. he asked me again if I was going to pay for the repairs and when I continued to try to plead my case I heard "have a nice day" and he hung up the phone. I don't believe that this is a way a paying customer can be treated and I can believe that they think they can get away with it. lying about technician showing up at the door and not honoring the warranty is just not the way to do business in this country. Thank you for your time.Desired Settlement: i'd like to try to fix my TV Set

Dear Revdex.com,

Review: I purchased a tv a year and a half ago and it broke down yesterday. I spent money for this tv and bought the same tv this year but bigger for my living room because I like the company. I am extremely dissatisfied because I am being told there is nothing I can do about it. It's still newer. How can something break down that fast and easily!!!! I believe it is defective from the start!!!Desired Settlement: I hope this company would do the right thing and replace it as I can't afford to fix it or buy a new tv. I just got married and we don't have much right now. We have student loans to pay now. I actually like orca tv's and always have that's why I bought two one year apart from each other as money permitted me to be able to. Please don't leave a bad taste in our mouths. Thank you.

Review: Purchased a RCA TV/DVD combination [redacted] from Fry's online. The TV worked but the DVD player would not play dvd and it would freeze up. Contacted RCA service center and Unit was sent out for repair. When it came back the same problem existed in the DVD player and I was told to contact On Corp US for further service issues. In my second conversation with the On Corp US I was told that I either could have a refurbished TV or a refund of the purchase price $158.31.I chose to have my money refunded. After emailing the Fry's reciept I contacted the rep again and was told that a check would be mailed to me in ten days as well as instructions on how to return the TV. I waited more than the ten days and have repeatedly called and emailed the rep. The customer rep has not responded to my calls or emails. I simply want my money returned and to send this broken TV back to them.Desired Settlement: A refund check in my name for the amount of $158.31.
