Review: I purchased a 50' [redacted] television which is defective and does not work. [redacted] came out on the 26th of December to fix it, and said they could not fix it, but [redacted] would be replacing the television. I emailed [redacted] after not receiving anything a week later and was given the option to get a replacement or a refund after I sent a copy of my receipt. I took a cell phone picture of that receipt and emailed it to [redacted] on the 12th after our phone conversation. I asked her how long will it take to receive my refund, and she assured me it would be sent to me after they receive a copy of my receipt. after emailing [redacted] this morning in curiosity of my money, she emailed me back saying that refund checks are sent out once a month and my refund will go out the first week of February and I should receive it a few days after that. this is not acceptable. that's making me go over a month without a tv since its been since the the latter part of December when the problem started.Desired Settlement: I want my total refund of $583.13 sent to me immediately before I have to escalate this to one of my legal shield attorneys

Dear Revdex.com,

Review: On August 26, 2012, I purchased a 32" [redacted] television for my mother's [redacted] birthday. The television is model # [redacted]. About the 12th of April, 2013, My mother called to tell me that her television would not work. After dealing with [redacted] on the phone for about an hour and checking all the items that could be checked, they advised us to contact [redacted]. The input would not hold the command that was entered and the television would go off with a "No Signal" box bouncing around on the screen. The warranty service sent a box to ship the television for repairs, which we did. When it came back, it worked okay for about 3 hours then stopped working again. We contacted the warranty service center and they said they would send another box out, but they did not until we called three times. We mailed the tv again for repairs, but when it arrived back to us, it would not work at all. Again, we contacted the warranty department and another box and shipping label was sent out. A few days after we mailed the television for the 3rd time, the person who was working on the television called to say that the television was working fine and that we needed to contact [redacted] to have a technician sent to our house. We have called twice and still no one has come out. Our home system is with [redacted], and we have had three other televisions hooked to that receiver. They ALL work fine. I will never buy another [redacted] product and advise anyone shopping for a television to look at another brand.Desired Settlement: I do not want a replacement that has been worked on by the people who have been so incompetent. I'd rather have the television that I bought repaired properly with an extended warranty added. If that is not possible, I just want the money that I spent on this television refunded so that I can buy a new television for my mother. She has been waiting since mid-April for the repairs and is having to watch a 13 " that she had in her bedroom.

Review: RCA Smart TV does not function as a smart TV should, There will not be an update until July of 2015 to make applications available for this TVDesired Settlement: I have returned the TV as requested by the company but they will not refund me until May

Business

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,

The customer will receive a refund check within the first week of May. There is nothing we can do to change this as our policy only allows refunds to be cut once a month.

Thank you,

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Hello, I filed a complaint around mid April regarding a 32 inch Smart TV and got a response from explaining the business had agreed to refund me the full amount of the TV by check in the mail the first week of May. I read the details explaining by your company, "If I do not reply within 7 days you will assume the issue was resolved."So I did not reply because I as well assumed the issue would be resolved, however it is May 18th and I have not yet received absolutely anything from the company regarding the TV.

Review: We bought [redacted] after awhile we notice that they were leaking something out the back of the sets. One as spots(cleaned up several times)the other one was dripping off the back(from top to bottom) onto the stand We called RCA spokesperson she said it was POISON and to get it out of the house right away and don't touch it, we got it out. they give us the ON Corps PH.# When calling them they said that it was fire rdant that was causing it. They offered to exchange the two TV's for two refurbished updated TV's We agreed, They said that they would ship out boxes right away and when Fed EX picked them up they would ship out replacement's as soon as they got notice that they were picked up. The pick up date was 3/4/14 as of 3/19/14 and several calls for tracking # for the replacements still no response. They Promised several times to call with tracking # but no tracking #.Desired Settlement: We would like now to get our money back, we Paid $1000 plus tax but would settle for $800 just to get it over with . We are tired of being without 2 TV And do not want to listen to their false Promises any more. I also saw another complaint about it being poisons in the Revdex.com complaints. If it is will the refurbished ones be Poisons too!

Dear Revdex.com,

Review: I purchased a RCA television from a [redacted] store in April 2014. By October 2014, the TV was broken and not showing any picture. So I called RCA number and they sent a technician to come out to my apartment on a Saturday between a 4 hour slot. I told them that I could help to diagnose the issue over the phone but the technical support service (A &E) said that I couldn't do that, and when the technician came he looked at my receipt and took the model number off of the back of the TV (both of which I could have done over the phone), and ordered a "possible" replacement part to be there in a week so he can be back the next saturday. Come next saturday, and the part doesn't fix the issue, so he tells me RCA will contact me. After 3 business days and not having a TV for going on 3 weeks, I call RCA's customer service number which only allows you to leave a message and someone will get back to you. A few days later I talk with a [redacted] from RCA who tells me they can ship me a replacement TV which will take 7 business days to ship, or I can be a voucher to go to a [redacted] store to get one which will be ready in 5 business days and to call her back if I don't hear from [redacted]. After 5 business days I call [redacted], no answer leave a message. The next day no answer, leave multiple messages, even leave more messages on the "customer service line", still no answer back. I cannot figure out why there is no response, especially since they are supposed to be helping me out and I am going on 6 weeks without a TV, due to their product failing me the customer. Extremely disappointed, and the lack of customer service is unacceptable.Desired Settlement: I should be given a voucher for a new TV of my choosing from a [redacted] store. At this point just a replacement model is not enough for the amount of time and money that I have been forced to give up, for RCA to get me the product they promised. They need to stand behind their products and since they have failed and the customer service is basically non-existant, I need to be compensated for my troubles.

Review: I bought a RCA television 7 months ago and now the screen does not work. It is still under warranty so I called A&E Factory Service for a warranty repair. The service technician informed me that the television was not repairable. The service technician then said RCA would call us about a replacement. After a week with no call I called A&E back and was informed that Omni Corp would call us in 7 to 10 business days not from the day of the service call but from the week after when I inquired about why I had not heard from anyone about my exchange. When I asked why I would not recieve a call 7 to 10 days after the service call I could not get an answer. I feel as though I am getting the run around and will never see a replacement television. BRAND NEW TELEVISIONS SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN 7 MONTHS AND WHEN THEY DO NOT THE COMPANY SHOULD HONOR THEIR WARRANTY !!!

Dear Revdex.com,

Review: On Corp has not refunded me for an RCA television I returned and will not return any of my calls.

I purchased an RCA television from Kmart which went out prior to the warranty, On Corp sent out a service rep who could not fix it, so they sent me refurbished TV that also did not work properly. I sent both TV's back to them with a call tag they had sent me. On Corp promised me they would send a refund, which I have yet to receive. I have been calling various different telephone numbers to check the status of my refund and can not contact anyone within the organization to give me a status on my refund. This issue have been ongoing for the last three months. I have also sent faxes to the On Corp company that told me that I would get a refund in the mail.Desired Settlement: I am seeking a refund in the amount of the RCA television I purchased from Kmart.

Dear Revdex.com,

Review: I bought a TV from Best Buy the TV was defective and I didn't know it. About a year later the TV started having these spots coming out on the back of it I didn't think anything about it cuz it was just a very few of them. I just kept wiping them off, then it kept getting a few more. No big deal. But now my TV is covered by these spots all over the back of the TV. It looks like mold. I have never seen anything like this so I called Best Buy they never heard of this either, my extended warranty expired on 6/28/2013. So I called ON Corp US, Inc and the first guy told me to get the TV out of my home, then he put me threw to another person they said it was no big deal, then I had to talk to another person I told them what was going on and she told me they would send me a new TV, but when I got the TV it was not the same model it was refurbished and it doesn't work. I have talked to two TV repair men they said they have never heard of a TV doing this and told me that if it was them they would get the TV's out of their homes. I don't know if this is causing a health problem but I don't wish to find out.Desired Settlement: I wish to go to Best Buy and get a new TV as soon as possible. I do not trust them since they didn't do good on their word. And as soon as I get my new TV they can have these two bad TV's back right away. Thank You

Review: I purchased an RCA tv (licensed & manufactured by OnCorp) & while it isn't brand new it has VERY little use, still has the cellophane on the tv & is in new condition. The TV hasn't worked properly in months, it flickers on & off AND, MORE IMPORTANTLY is leaking some type of chemicals from the unit itself. I have tried numerous times over the past 6 months & have left several messages with Customer Service, Sales & Accounting at the company. Nobody ever has answered the phone at any of the 5 different departments that are mentioned in their voice recording. Initially it wasn't that big of a deal that the product was faulty - until I got ZERO response or resolution, obviously. The lack of a reply & lack of customer service is unacceptable to say the very least. I have no idea what the chemicals are but it indicates it's a very low quality product.Desired Settlement: First and foremost I would like a written apology. I would also like OnCorp to pay for a local, independent lab or company test & inspect the tv to determine what type of chemical(s) are leaking from the tv. Initially, all I wanted was a replacement tv but now I realize the company does not make quality products nor do they care about their customers!! I would like the compensatory amount, $325, and I would like three to five times that amount, analogous to "punitive damages" for all my wasted time, stress and aggravation trying to reach the company and their warranty-related company, A&E, in an attempt to get a resolution. And, if there happens to be dangerous chemicals that my family was exposed to then I will seek further remedies. Anything less than these resolutions I will retain an attorney. Also, I will contact and pressure Wal-Mart Corp to discontinue stocking OnCorp's products.

Dear Revdex.com,

Mr. [redacted] was contacted three weeks ago 10/22/2014 and further information was requested. As of today 11/10/2014 we are still working to resolve the complaint.

Thank you.

Review: I purchased a 48" RCA Smart TV Model #SLD48G45RQ from [redacted] on 9/22/15 for $399.99, not including the extended warranty that was also purchased. The television had a small crack in the corner and a line that went down the left side. My son noticed the line on 10/4/15 and when I examined closer I noticed the crack. I contacted [redacted] informed them of the defect and that I no longer had the box. They indicated that I could bring it in for an exchange, but it had to be brought in by the next day because they only had a 15 day exchange policy. When I got home from work the evening of 10/5/15 I wrapped the television up in a blanket, loaded it into my car and drove the 30 minutes to make the exchange. In transit the original crack expanded, and now [redacted] would no longer exchange it stating that there was additional damage. The television was defective to begin with and there would not have been any additional damage if I didn't have to bring it in for an exchange. However, they would refund the $79.99 for the extended warranty. I then contacted On Corp, who responded via e-mail that, "Physical damage of that type is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty and cannot be repaired." I also have tried on numerous occasions to contact Rachel a Manager with RCA who has yet to return my calls. No one wants to take responsibility for this and I don't feel I should be out $400.00 for purchasing a defective product.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund in the amount of $420.39 to cover the cost of the television along with sales tax.

Review: I purchased [redacted] LED television branded RCA under a licensing agreement with ON Corp US, Inc. The television was purchases on 11/29/2013 from Best Buy in Wentzville, MO. It failed in May, and under the warranty provision (One year parts and labor), I contacted the "Manufacturer" at the phone number provided in my owner's manual. Actually, this phone number belongs to their contracted service provider, A & E Factory Service. On June 10th, nearly a month after I requested service, a technician from A&E inspected my television and concluded that it was defective and needed to be replaced/exchanged. I am now in my 5th week of awaiting a satisfactory outcome to my defective television problem, and cannot get any response from the manufacturer. I have also filed a formal complaint with the Missouri Attorney General's office. Best Buy, the retailer who sold me the television, will not offer me any assistance either. Please help!Desired Settlement: I just want my television replaced with a like product in good working condition. Otherwise, I would like my money refunded. I feel that waiting 5 weeks or more for restitution is unacceptable.

Dear Revdex.com and Mr. [redacted],

Review: Issue is [redacted] TV has vertical lines that progressively get worse over time. Original purchase of [redacted] TV Model [redacted] was from [redacted] on Saturday August 24th 2013. The vertical lines showed up 2 months later.

First contacted [redacted] through web site and the website redirects me to On Corp. The tag on the back of the TV identifies the TV as one of OnCorp. After initially contacting On Corp at [redacted] regarding the problem, Service Order Number [redacted], they said they would need to send a tech to look at the problem. On Friday December 20, 2013 a tech from [redacted] (Service Order Number [redacted]) came out and provided us with a receipt which states "Technician Comments: Notes: tv has bad panel stac put in to OnCorp for replacement."

January 28th 2013, I called On Corp to inquire the status and was only allowed to leave a voice message with my call back info. I contacted [redacted] also and they stated that once they submit the information back to OnCorp they won't receive any feedback from OnCorp. I contacted OnCorp again to inquire and actually was connected to a live person, I did not get the lady's name but she said I needed to contact [redacted]s support line at [redacted]s), when I contacted them again they redirected me back to OnCorp [redacted]. I tried leaving another message however I could not because a message said the mailbox is currently full.

TV is still under a year old and under warrantee however when looking at the complaints on Revdex.com's website it would appear to me that the only way to get OnCorp to honor their warrantee is by using the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: I want the TV either fixed or replaced under warranty. I attempted to contact [redacted] about this issue and they were unwilling to help.

Dear Revdex.com,

Review: I had purchased an [redacted] from [redacted] on April 2015. Two weeks after receiving my TV, the TV stopped working. [redacted] exchanged the TV with a new one. That TV stopped working after 5 1/2 months of use. [redacted] then told me to call Oncorp Customer Service, which I did. On 12/09/15 they've sent a service man to come and look at the problem - he said I need a new power switch, and he had to order the part. He was supposed to be back on the 21st, but the part was on back-order, and I was told should be in on the 1st of the year. I had called on 1/04/16, and was told the part still hasn't come in. So I had called Oncorp directly and had to leave a message because no one answers the phone. Someone by the of [redacted] returned my call on the 6th, and after explaining to her my situation - still waiting for this part - she gave me a choice: A-continue to wait for the part, B-get an exchange for a different TV, or C-get a refund. At first I had chosen the exchange, because I just wanted the TV! But, after telling me that it was going to be a refurbished TV, I then chose the refund. [redacted] then told me to e-mail her my receipt, and she sent FedEx here to pick-up my TV for return. She did say to me that my refund check won't be sent to me until the first week of February, I agreed with that, but when I called her back on 2/8/16, she told me she didn't know when the checks will be sent out! I then asked her if I could speak to someone in charge, or even the payable dept. to ask about my refund check, and I was told that I can only go through her, because the Manager and the payable dept. do not take customer calls! Here it is 2 and a half months later, and I am out of a TV, and my money! I am now learning through [redacted], **, and [redacted], that I am not the only victim of these scammers! Where do I go from here? They have my TV and my money for 2 and a half months!Desired Settlement: I would like my refund of $378.34 as promised by [redacted] of OnCorp, US, Inc.

Response:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Review: I purchased an RCA (OnCorp)TV in late November 2013. In early October 2014, the HDMI ports stopped working. I called the customer service line with all relevant information and was told that a service tech would call to schedule a repair, in lieu of the 12 month warranty. After not receiving a call, I called back and was told that my TV was not under warranty when it clearly was. Every time I called the service line I received a different response related to my inquiry. I finally e-mailed OnCorp directly in order to initiate a paper trail before my warranty expired. A representative contacted me in response to set up a repair work order, but then told me that there were no technicians in my area. She asked to see a copy of my receipt, which I scanned and submitted to her. From there, she said that I would receive a refund on the product. I was told I should receive the refund by the first week of December. After that time passed, I e-mailed again to inquire. From there I was told that the check "must not have made it to me", and that she would have another check printed and overnighted to me by December 15th. I have tried to be patient throughout this process, but finally gave OnCorp and "end-date" to resolve this issue before I reported it to the Revdex.com. It is now the 5th of January and still no resolution.Desired Settlement: I only ask for what I was told. A refund on the purchase of a faulty piece of equipment. I have had to replace the television in the living room, so a replacement at this point is no longer an option. I simply want a company to stick to their word when they suggest a resolution.
