Online City Tickets Reviews (2190)

Delivery quick and easy

It was easy and simple I just hope I get my tickets in time since I'm 10 hrs away from the concert place, then I'll be completely satisfied. P

All was good !

Handling fees were a little high.

Awesome! Quick! Exactly as promised!

Thank you for reaching out to us and bringing this matter to our attention. Online City Tickets values our customers and would like to take the time to address Ms. [redacted] concerns. It should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate...

tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. This fact is noted on every ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement: “We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue.” On 9/22/16, Ms. [redacted] purchased tickets to see [redacted] on 11/10/16. This event was later rescheduled for 2/18/17. Ms. [redacted] has since indicated that she would no longer be able to attend, to which it should be noted that Ms. [redacted] cannot receive a refund for rescheduled events per the agreed-to policies at checkout. Directly on the checkout page, Ms. [redacted] was presented with the message, “All sales are final. There are no refunds, exchanges or cancellations. If the event is postponed, ticket will be honored for the rescheduled date.” Additionally, our sales policies, including our “all sales are final” policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process—from a notice on every ticket page to a sales terms statement displayed at checkout with the message “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” Ms. [redacted] stated that she was advised to contact the venue for a refund; this should be noted as inaccurate. We recommended Ms. [redacted] reach out to the venue in regards to any questions she may have regarding the rescheduled date. At this time she was also notified that the venue would not be able to refund her order either, per her claim. Our policies clearly state that event date, times, venue and subject matter may change though “we shall not be held responsible for any such change and will not be obligated to provide a refund or any other compensation in the event such a change occurs.” In addition to this current claim, Ms. [redacted] has also filed a dispute with her financial institution regarding this order. Due to the nature of the dispute process, we are unable to provide a resolution to this matter while this dispute remains open, and encourage Ms. [redacted] to contact her financial institution with any questions regarding its process or outcome. As Ms. [redacted] event was rescheduled, not canceled, we consider the matter closed. Regards, Online City Tickets

This was an easy and quick experience to get concert tickets.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I am rejecting this response because:the deceptive practice you are continuing to use is to not disclose the associated fees nor the line items associated with the total charge. Instead you asked the consumer to agree to, and make, an uninformed decision. That's not a good look on your company nor your practices. Therefore, because you do not believe in (nor practice) full discolure, as almost every legitimate business does, Mrs. [redacted] had to falsely assume the 252.31 had a proportional value. Upon further research we discovered just how over inflated the pricing was (which was not disclosed in detail by said company). Had she been informed of the amount of fees associated with the final charge and all the other charges, she would have been able to understand and compare your offer against other outlets and make an informed decision. This is why it is so important for the Revdex.com to get involved--to either help motivate you to correct your common practice of non-discolure or to make everyone else aware to help protect them. How is a consumer supposed to be able to evaluate your offer versus other offers when you did not disclose all line items totaling the $252.31. We did not use the tickets because we did not feel it would be honest to use them and ask for a full refund. We disclosed this to you prior to the event and you made no cencessions to refund us any funds at that time. We are seeking a refund or full credit please. Thank you. Sincerely,[redacted]

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/09/29) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
They gave me a refund of $52.00. It's not what I wanted, but it's better than nothing.. Thanks for your help.

Really enjoyed ordering from the website

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Online City Tickets, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concerns. It should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely...

facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Directly on our website it states, “We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venue. Ticket prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue or box office.”Once our customer selected the event they were interested in, TobyMac, they navigated to the ticket listing page. The top of this page clearly notifies customers, “We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue.” This message is also displayed on the top of every page throughout the checkout process. After customers select the ticket listing they desire, they are directed to the checkout page. Here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and price per ticket. Our customer was prompted to provide an email address and select a delivery method. After a delivery method was selected, since methods vary in price, a new order total was calculated. A complete itemized breakdown of our customer’s order including the price per ticket, all fees, and the total price of $179.38 was displayed in bold text on the left-hand side of the page. This information was fully disclosed before our customers are asked to enter any payment information. Below this order summary, our customers are notified in the Ticket Information portion of our site that, “We are a resale marketplace. We are not a box office or venue. This site is not owned by any venue. Price: Ticket prices may exceed face value.” Customers are then presented with our terms and conditions, including a bold message which clarifies, “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” Our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms and the statement, “I agree to the sales terms and conditions listed above. I understand that I am not purchasing directly from the venue box office and that tickets may be above face value.” For every order placed on our site the customer’s order total is reiterated below this in large, bold text. Customers are then prompted to select the "Review Order" button below these terms. Once selected, customers are taken to a review page which displayed their payment information, order summary and provided an additional itemized cost breakdown of their order. Our customer then proceeded to select "Confirm & Place Order", at which time their order was processed.Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Online City Tickets is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Online City Tickets, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.Prior to receiving this claim we thoroughly discussed this matter with our customer to address all of their concerns. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.Regards,Online City Tickets

Thank you for your response. In regards to Ms. [redacted] statement regarding the "face value," it should be reiterated that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets. The prices of the tickets are determined by the individual reseller based on a range of factors, including customer demand. What is presented at checkout is the price of the tickets as they are at the time, not their face value. Every ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage states: “We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue.”We have been in contact with Ms. [redacted] regarding this issue and have offered a courtesy resolution which Ms. [redacted] has rejected. If Ms. [redacted] wishes to pursue the offered resolution, we encourage her to contact us directly, as our management team is available to handle any additional concerns that she may have at this time. We have been consistent with our sales terms and consider this matter closed. Regards,Online City Tickets

I am rejecting this response because:Once again, this business listed the tickets for sale before they were ever released for sale by the venue.  After my order was cancelled, the venue said that these tickets were not available to be sold because they have not been released. This company policy states that once a seller has confirmed the sale, they will have a customer protection plan and honor the tickets or provide upgraded tickets.  I received a seperate email saying that the seller has confirmed the sale, which now has been to be false since the seller (the venue) had not even released tickets.  And rather than honor the tickets or provide me tickets at the listed price, they cancelled them and reused to honor their customer protection plan.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Best price that I could find online.

That is not accurate information.  The company has not made any efforts to resolve issue with customer and many others have complained about the same issues with website functionality.  The charge of $318 was NOT authorized.  We have repeatedly stated the same claim.  We will go to all measures until this is rectified.  It is too bad this company is so desperate to rip off customers that it cannot come to a resolution.  We didn't even use the tickets because this is an extreme hardship for our family of 5.  There have been hundreds of complaints filed recently and that's horrible business practice.  I will be on a mission to draw attention to this company, horrible business practices, and fraudulent actions on customers.  We completely REJECT business response!

Good shopping experience overall, including follow-up. Long wait on the phone to confirm location of tickets.
It would be helpful to be able to confirm tickets are side by side for multiple ticket purchase.

positive quick and easy

This was the best online ticket service I have ever used!
