Online City Tickets Reviews (2190)

Online City Tickets was wonderful to do on line. No problems. As wonderful as the [redacted] show was, the logistics of getting there were so bad that at 7:30 when the performance was to start, only half of the [redacted] was filled and it was a sell out. People were there but could not get parked and could not get in for 7:30 stating time. [redacted] delayed the start a few minutes and preformed 1/2 hour longer to make up for the mess.
Many said they'd never go back to the [redacted]. They had one entrance open for parking and 18,000 people. What were they thinking? [redacted] might not come back.
Your business is fine and will do more with you. Anaheim doesn't get these venues!

Thank you for your response. As we previously stated, prior to receiving this claim we were in contact with Ms. [redacted] and reached an amicable resolution. This resolution was issued to Ms. [redacted] on 2/24/2017. As such, we consider this matter resolved.Regards,Online City Tickets

HORRIBLE, DO NOT USE THEM, THEY OVERPRICE TICKETS, THEIR FEES ARE OUTRAGEOUS AND YOU CANNOT CANCEL YOUR ORDER.
I PURCHASED TWO TICKETS FOR DISNEY ON ICE IN MIAMI, INNOCENTLY ASSUMING THE PRICE WOULD BE PRETTY MUCH STANDARD WHEN I NOTICED [redacted] WAS 50% CHEAPER BUT GUESS WHAT? COULDN'T RETURN MY PURCHASE.

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this matter. At Online City Tickets, we value our customers and appreciate the opportunity to address Ms. [redacted] concerns. It should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead,...

we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. This fact is noted on every ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement: “We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venue. Ticket prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue or box office.”In reference to her claim that she was charged a different price than that listed on the tickets themselves, it should be noted that this is a common occurrence on the secondary market. Because all tickets are listed and priced by individual sellers, prices are determined by those sellers, not by Online City Tickets, in accordance with their assessments of various market factors such as customer demand. This information is presented in large print on our website's home page, as well as on every ticket page, and again stated on our checkout page prior to the customer entering their payment information.Regarding Ms. [redacted] claim that she was not made aware of the order total prior to purchase, it should be noted that this is inaccurate. Our website is user-driven, and no order can be placed without the customer having been made aware of all order and pricing details. When Ms. [redacted] selected her tickets, she was taken to our Checkout page. From there, she was directed to review the itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed the price per ticket, all fees, and the total price in bold text. Ms. [redacted] was required to agree to our terms and conditions—visible in a text box below this order total—and presented with the bold-text message “All sales are final.” At this point, Ms. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions above,” and checked a box signifying her agreement with this statement. During this process, Ms. [redacted] saw an even more in-depth order summary that displayed the quantity and prices of her tickets, delivery and service fees, and the total charge in bold print. With regard to her claim that the tickets were fake, it must be noted that this is inaccurate. Ms. [redacted] received tickets that were backed by our 100% Money Back Guarantee to be valid and authentic. The event for which she purchased tickets occurred on the day following the submission of this complaint; therefore, Ms. [redacted] had not yet had the opportunity to use her tickets.Ms. [redacted] received her tickets by email moments after completing her order, and the tickets were valid for entry to the event. As such, Online City Tickets has fully adhered to the terms and conditions to which Ms. [redacted] agreed prior to purchase. Additionally, we were not made aware of any dissatisfaction on the part of Ms. [redacted] prior to receiving this complaint. If she would like to discuss this matter further, or if she has any other questions, we encourage her to utilize our customer service team who will be happy to assist. At this time, we consider this matter closed.Regards,Online City Tickets

sans-serif; font-weight: inherit; font-style: inherit; border: 0px;">Thank you for reaching out to us and bringing this matter to our attention. At Online City Tickets, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address Ms. [redacted] concerns. It should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers.

The price Ms. [redacted] mentioned refers to the face value of her tickets. As a secondary marketplace, Online City Tickets does not own tickets, therefore does not set the price at which tickets are listed. Instead, the listing price is set by the individual seller based on their personal assessments of a range of factors, including customer demand. This fact is noted on the listing, checkout, and homepage with the statement: “We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venue. Ticket prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by Consol Energy Center.”

When Ms. [redacted] selected tickets for the [redacted] Orchestra event occurring on 12/27/2016, she was directed to her checkout page. Here Ms. [redacted] was prompted to review her itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed all fees, the price per ticket, and the total price of $243.75 in bold text. Ms. [redacted] was required to agree to our terms and conditions—visible in a text box—and presented with the message in bold “All sales are final.” At this point, Ms. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions listed above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout. Our sales policies, including our “all sales are final” policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process and displayed at checkout with the message “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).”

Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry.

As Ms. [redacted] was sufficiently notified of this information prior to placing her order, we consider this matter closed. If Ms. [redacted] has any additional concerns she would like to discuss, we encourage her to contact customer service.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/09/01) */
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We take the customer experience seriously and would like to take the time to address Ms. [redacted] concerns. We should explain that OnlineCityTickets.com is an online exchange, which means we...

do not own or generate tickets--instead, we facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. This fact is noted on every ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement: ""We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue."
When Ms. [redacted] selected tickets and was taken to our checkout page, she was directed to review her itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed all fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bolded text. Then, Ms. [redacted] was directed to review our terms and conditions--visible in a text box below this order total--and presented with the bolded message "All sales are final." At this point, she was also presented with the message "I agree to the sales terms and conditions. I have reviewed the Order Summary above,"" and a check box that she needed to click to continue with checkout. Below this check-box, another message was displayed that, in Ms. [redacted] case, read: "By clicking 'Place Order', your credit card will be charged $1138.15, which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees." This notice was followed by a button labeled "Place Order." When Ms. [redacted] clicked this button, she signified her acknowledgement of the total price and these terms, and completed her order.
Our sales policies, including our "all sales are final" policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process--from a notice on every ticket page to a sales terms statement displayed at checkout with the message "All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD)." Additionally, all sellers on our site are notified as soon as an order for their tickets is placed, which means we are unable to cancel orders or offer refunds. While we regret Ms. [redacted] frustration, she was made aware of this fact, and made an educated, conscious decision to purchase tickets from our site.
OnlineCityTickets.com has contacted Ms. [redacted], and we feel we have reached a resolution that suits both parties. We now consider this issue closed. If Ms. [redacted] would like to attend another live event in the future, or if she has any questions about an order or our website, we welcome her to reach out to us.

It is my opinion that this site is nothing more than a common (yet most likely legal) scalper. I bought 2 tickets for $117.00 ea. w/ $30.00 service charge. Face value is as follows. $70.00 ea. w/ $15.50 service charge. It pays to buy your tickets early before this outfit buys them first

Thank you for your response. Although our customer continues to press forward, we maintain that the fact prices are in USD is clearly stated in bold text directly above the check box they were required to agree to to proceed with their order. As this information was fully disclosed, the resolution we offered was done as a courtesy, stepping outside of the agreed upon terms. As we have fully adhered to our sales terms and attempted to resolve this matter, we consider this matter closed.Regards,Online City Tickets

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
unfortunately, the response from online city tickets is inaccurate and misleading. I spoke with [redacted] today and they said the package was not shipping until late on the 14th. Also, the "one time courtesy to resolution" is a discount code only worth 10% or $25 off my next purchase with them, which I will NEVER use because I am NEVER using this site again. I did not at the time and do not currently accept that in any way as an "amicable resolution" to their scam.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

This fact is noted on every ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement: “We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue.”As a secondary marketplace, Online City Tickets is not directly affiliated with any artist or venue and does not generate tickets as a primary box office; rather, we act as an intermediary between fans and ticket holders. Since customers are buying tickets previously purchased from primary markets, such as Ticketmaster, we must ensure our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must enforce an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. Our sales policies, including our “all sales are final” policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process—from a notice on every ticket page to a sales terms statement displayed at checkout with the message “All sales are final. Thank you for contacting us regarding this matter. Online City Tickets values our customers and we appreciate the opportunity to address Ms. [redacted] concerns. verification provisions to ensure the order was authorized by the cardholder.Though Ms. [redacted] has filed this claim, our records indicate that this order was place by Mr. [redacted] on 12/18/2016. For the protection of all our customers we cannot disclose specific fraud prevention techniques, but on the order in question, no fraudulent activity was evident. Mr. [redacted] order was placed on 12/18/2016 at 4:36 PM CST and his valid tickets for the Disney on Ice: Dare to Dream event on 12/29/2016 were immediately delivered to his email address and downloaded shortly thereafter. As Ms. [redacted] stated, we later received a dispute from Mr. [redacted] credit card company regarding this transaction. We addressed this, and the dispute was ultimately ruled in our favor. Should Mr. or Ms. [redacted] have any questions regarding the process or outcome of this dispute, we encourage them to reach out to the credit card company with which it was filed. At this time we consider this matter closed.Regards,Online City Tickets

I am rejecting this response because:They pushed the sale through AFTER authorization had been canceled. They are a fraud and they know it. I hope they all sleep well at night knowing that they trick people out of their hard earned money. If you work for this company and are reading this look at your life.....it [redacted] right? It's because you work for a company that STEALS from hardworking people. I already said that I read and signed your [redacted] disclaimer because you already TRICKED me into believing there was no other way to get tickets. If your wife hates you, your children won't listen, your boss is a [redacted] you're in debt, you have to work every day....etc....you deserve it because your karma [redacted] and always will working for this company. I know you people know how wrong this is as you desperately called me the day after trying to return SOME of the money.
PS-Thanks for nothing Revdex.com if you're reading this. Knew you wouldn't help.
Sincerely,

I am rejecting this response because: you are deceiving and misleading people plain and simple. BTW I got my credit card statement and you charged me 200 dollars. I guess the 130 was US fund which was never indicated anywhere.
24 dollar tickets - that I thought I was paying 48 dollars each for - cost my 200 dollars.
You can justify all you want - me like tons of other people got duped - plain and simple.
Good riddance!
[redacted]

Tickets arrived when promised. Did feel there was a little bait and switch as tickets ended up being more expensive than anticipated even though initial price was much lower.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I acknowledge that the terms of the agreement were given, and that I should have noticed that I only got one ticket.  However, given that I contacted CityTickets immediately after the transaction (within 5 minutes), there was no reason why the transaction could not have been canceled.  Given the fact that I attempted to cancel the sale so quickly, and that I was buying one ticket for five times the face value, I would like to be refunded the full price.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

It was easy to surf and find the seats.

facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Directly on our website it states, “We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venue. Ticket prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by Greek Theater Berkeley.”Once our customer selected the event they were interested in, [redacted], they navigated to the ticket listing page. The top of this page clearly notifies customers, “We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue.” This message is also displayed on the top of every page throughout the checkout process. After customers select the ticket listing they desire, they are directed to the checkout page. Here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and price per ticket. Our customer was prompted to provide an email address and select a delivery method. After a delivery method is selected, since methods vary in price, a new order total is calculated. A complete itemized breakdown of our customer’s order including the price per ticket, all fees, and the total price of $977.87 was displayed in bold text on the left-hand side of the page. This information was fully disclosed before our customers are asked to enter any payment information. Below this order summary, our customers are notified in the Ticket Information portion of our site that, “We are a resale marketplace. We are not a box office or venue. This site is not owned by any venue. Price: Ticket prices may exceed face value.” Customers are then presented with our terms and conditions, including a bold message which clarifies, “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” Our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms. Customers are then prompted to select the "Review Order" button below these terms. Once selected, customers are taken to a review page which displayed their payment information, order summary and provided an additional itemized cost breakdown of their order. Our customer then proceeded to select "Confirm & Place Order", at which time their order was processed. Our checkout process allows each customer several opportunities to view all details of an order, including the Estimated Ship Date, prior to purchase. In our customer’s case, the Estimated Ship Date of 8/7/2017 was stated. Due to the nature of our business as a secondary marketplace, Vivid Seats does not own or generate any tickets and therefore does not set or control delivery date. Rather, the Estimated Ship Date is set by the individual seller of the tickets and is dependent upon the primary issuer of the tickets, with which Vivid Seats has no affiliation. This information was clearly presented to our customer before they submitted their order, and was additionally discussed with the customer by phone afterwards.Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Online City Tickets is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. All prices listed on our site are done so by the individual seller, not Online City Tickets, based on their personal assessments regarding a range of factors including customer demand. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. It should be noted that we were not contacted by our customer to discuss their order prior to receiving this claim. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed prior to our customer placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed. Regards,Online City Tickets

This fact is noted on every checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement: "We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue."

Mr. [redacted] claims that he did not intend to place his order for tickets to see Phantom of the Opera--and that rather, while he was deliberating, his 5 year-old child placed the order without his consent. As a result, Mr. [redacted] feels that he is entitled to a refund. Mr. [redacted] also claims that he never received a receipt, or his tickets.

Because sellers in our marketplace list their own tickets and are notified as soon as a customer places an order for those tickets, we must ensure our policies are fair to both parties. And so, as the events that resulted in Mr. [redacted] order being placed were not the fault of and completely outside the control of both the seller and OnlineCityTickets.com, we must maintain an "all sales are final" policy and cannot issue a refund. In response to Mr. [redacted] secondary concern, our records show that the email containing the link to download his e-tickets was successfully sent less than two hours after his order was placed. In addition, we have since emailed Mr. [redacted] a receipt showing a clear breakdown of his charges--the same breakdown that was displayed to him at checkout.

Our sales policies, including our "all sales are final" policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process--from a notice on every ticket page to a sales terms statement displayed at checkout with the message "All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD)." While we regret Mr. [redacted] frustrating circumstance, we are unable to cancel the order or issue a refund. However, if he has any further questions, we welcome him to contact us.
