Online City Tickets Reviews (2190)

Tickets were 99$ on the ticket and got charged about 90$ more per ticket with fees and up charge. Sad

I purchased tickets to [redacted] for my best friend and I, in December!
The price was right, and the seats looked great- so I bought them!
The tickets arrived 2 weeks before the show,I printed them out and we were good to go!
My experience was AWESOME with online city tickets, we had amazing seats and no hiccups! I'd use them again!

Thank you for reaching out to us. At Online City Tickets, we value our customers and would like to take the time to address our customer’s concerns. It should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely...

facilitate transactions between ticket buyers and ticket sellers. Directly on our website it states, “We are a resale marketplace, not a box office or venue. Ticket prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by [redacted] Premier Center.”Although Ms. [redacted] has filed this claim, our records show that this order was placed by Mr. [redacted]. Once our customer selected the event they were interested in, [redacted] with [redacted], they navigated to the ticket listing page. The top of this page clearly notifies customers, “We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue.” This message is also displayed on the top of every page throughout the checkout process. After customers select the ticket listing they desire, they are directed to the checkout page. Here, customers are provided with an order summary that displays the event details, ticket location, and price per ticket. Our customer was prompted to provide an email address and select a delivery method. After a delivery method is selected, since methods vary in price, a new order total is calculated. A complete itemized breakdown of our customer’s order including the price per ticket, all fees, and the total price of $889.11 was displayed in bold text on the left-hand side of the page. This information was fully disclosed before our customers are asked to enter any payment information. Below this order summary, our customers are notified in the Ticket Information portion of our site that, “We are a resale marketplace. We are not a box office or venue. This site is not owned by any venue. Price: Ticket prices may exceed face value.” Customers are then presented with our terms and conditions, including a bold message which clarifies, “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” Our customer was required to select a check box signifying their agreement to these terms. Customers are then prompted to select the "Review Order" button below these terms. Once selected, customers are taken to a review page which displayed their payment information, order summary and provided an additional itemized cost breakdown of their order. As our site is completely user-driven, our customer then proceeded to select "Confirm & Place Order", at which time their order was processed.Due to the nature of our business on the secondary marketplace, Online City Tickets is not affiliated with any artist or venue and does not own inventory; instead, we act as an intermediary between customers and sellers. Since our customers are purchasing tickets owned and listed by individual resellers, we must ensure that our policies are fair to both parties. This means that we are unable to offer refunds and must adhere to an “all sales are final” policy—a standard throughout the industry. Our customer placed this order on 7/21/2017 and received their valid tickets via email on 8/1/2017 prior to their event on 9/16/2017. Should our customer wish to discuss this matter on the telephone, all contact information is readily available on our site. We maintain that all order details were sufficiently displayed and agreed to prior to placing their order; as such, we consider this matter closed. If our customer has any additional concerns regarding their order, we encourage them to reach out to our customer service department so that they may be addressed.Regards,Online City Tickets

Complaint: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:They have yet to take any blame for the websites continuous error messages and I have received no apology for the numerous very rude customer service agents I spoke to.Their response was what I heard many people state on the phone and does nothing to solve the problem at hand.
Sincerely,

seriously here at Online City Tickets and would like to take the time to address Mrs. [redacted]’s concerns. It should be noted that Online City Tickets is an online resale marketplace, which means we do not own or generate tickets—instead, we merely facilitate transactions between ticket Buyer’s and ticket sellers. This fact is noted on every ticket and checkout page and at the top of our homepage with the statement: “We are a resale marketplace. Prices may exceed face value. This site is not owned by any venue.”

The link Mrs. [redacted] used to purchase tickets took her to a page that showed the event she intended to purchase tickets for. It states on the page "Buying and Selling tickets around Bloomington. Powered by OnlineCityTickets.com". When Mrs. [redacted] selected tickets and was taken to our checkout page, it displayed that she was purchasing from Online City Tickets and disclosed that we were a resale market place. Mrs. [redacted] was directed to review her itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed all fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bolded text. Mrs. [redacted] was then directed to review our terms and conditions—visible in a text box below this order total—and presented with the bolded message “All sales are final.” At this point, Mrs. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions. I have reviewed the Order Summary above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout. Below this check-box, another message was displayed that read: “By clicking ‘Place Order’, your credit card will be charged the total purchase amount, which includes ticket, service, and delivery fees.” This notice was followed by a button labeled “Place Order.” When Mrs. [redacted] clicked this button, they signified their acknowledgement of the total price and these terms, and completed their order.

Our sales policies, including our “all sales are final” policy, are disclosed throughout the purchase process—from a notice on every ticket page to a sales terms statement displayed at checkout with the message “All sales are final. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD).” Additionally, all sellers on our site are notified as soon as an order for their tickets is placed, which means we are unable to cancel orders or offer refunds.

We have been in constant contact with Mrs. [redacted] regarding this issue, but have been unable to reach an amicable resolution. While our management team is available to handle any additional concerns that Mrs. [redacted] may have, we consider this matter closed.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/07/28) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Online City Tickets essentially offered to compromise and meet me part way in order to resolve the matter in a way I find acceptable.

Got my ticket. Pretty quick.

Thank you for your response regarding this matter. As we previously stated, all tickets listed on our site are owned and priced by individual sellers, not Online City Tickets, based on their personal assessment of the market value. Though Mr. [redacted] continues to claim that his order total was not disclosed, no order can be placed on our site without the customer being presented with their order total. Additionally, each customer is required to signify their agreement to our sales term, including our "all sales are final" policy, before placing the order. As we stated in our previous response, all tickets are owned and listed by individual sellers, as such, the largest portion of any order placed goes directly to the seller; the service charges represent the charges that Online City Tickets uses to maintain operating costs including our website, screening sellers to confirm valid tickets, and providing customer service. As the dispute Mr. [redacted] filed with his financial institution remains open, we are unable to offer Mr. [redacted] with an amicable resolution at this time. As such, we consider this matter closed. Regards, Online City Tickets

Thank you for your response regarding Mr. [redacted]’s concerns. Online City Tickets maintains that our checkout process--throughout which all prices, fees, other details, and the total for Mr. [redacted]’s order were shown--was sufficient opportunity for Mr. [redacted] to review this information. After being shown this information, Mr. [redacted] proceeded to enter his payment information, checked the box to accept our Sales Terms and Conditions and agree that all sales are final, and then submitted his order. As previously mentioned, our site is user-driven. The ticket section the customer selects on the ticket listing page is the same that is provided on the Checkout page. This information is completely dependent upon what the customer selects from the ticket listing page.If Mr. [redacted] has any additional concerns he would like to discuss, he is welcome to reach out to our customer service department directly. As we have fulfilled the order backed by our 100% Money Back Guarantee, we consider this matter closed. Regards, Online City Tickets

Quick easy to follow instructions!!

font-style: inherit; border: 0px;">Thank you for reaching out to us and bringing this matter to our attention. We take the customer experience seriously at Online City Tickets and would like to take the time to address Mr. [redacted] concerns. It is important to note that the tickets were provided to Mr. [redacted] immediately after his purchase and we worked with him to resend the tickets again after he contacted us.
On 2/26/16 at 2:38 PM Mr. [redacted] placed his order for [redacted] which takes place on 4/28/16 at 7:00 PM. Tickets were immediately sent to the email Mr. [redacted] provided at checkout. We were contacted on 3/8/16 and 3/9/16 by Mr. [redacted] indicating that he had still not received his tickets, at which point, on both occasions, agents resent the email containing the link for Mr. [redacted] to access his tickets. As an additional resolution, we requested an alternate email address that we could provide the tickets to. Mr. [redacted] did not provide an alternate email, and as the order was placed online by Mr. [redacted] himself, we only had the ability to send the tickets to the email he provided at checkout.
When Mr. [redacted] selected tickets and was taken to our checkout page, he was directed to review his itemized order breakdown, which clearly displayed all fees, the price per ticket, and the total price in bolded text. Mr. [redacted] was then directed to review our terms and conditions—visible in a text box below this order total—and presented with the bolded message “All sales are final.” At this point, Mr. [redacted] was also presented with the message “I agree to the sales terms and conditions above,” and a check box that needed to be selected in order to continue with checkout. After checking the box and clicking “Review Order” they are taken to the checkout page which features an even more in-depth order summary that displays the number and prices of their tickets, delivery and service fees, and the total charge.
Online City Tickets operates our own customer service department, which is available to resolve any and all issues that our customers may encounter and contact information on both our webpage and every correspondence. We encourage Mr. [redacted] to utilize this resource for any additional concerns, but as it currently stands, we have provided all resolutions we can offer at this time.
