I am writing to complain about my recent experience attempting to obtain a refinance of my home with Paramount Equity MortgageI have submitted two complaint letters directly to Paramount Equity
The FIRST was complaining about my inability to get a response from either my loan officer or processing agent after a period of nearly months since the process was started I had emailed and called for about weeks to get an update with no response, until I sent a letter through the company’s website I then rec’d a response from the loan agent apologizing and indicating that he had been out sick and that my loan could not be approved because of a late payment I asked him to provide me details of whether he was referring to a late payment on a commercial mortgage that I had with the Church in November that I had informed him of on Day of our meeting back in Feb when he said that it was not a concern as it was ‘commercial’ I waited another

I read a lot of negative reviews about this company, but my initial loan officer seemed honest enough so I proceededHalfway through the process he apparently didn’t show up for work and they gave me another loan officer who had no idea what had been discussed previouslyIn addition, I felt extremely pressured to move things along as quickly as possibleWhen they verbally asked me what I thought my house was worth I told them 370,The appraisal actually came in at 384,Somehow, they had it in their records that I told them $400,000, which was a blatant lieI was supposed to be rolling a student loan into the deal but after the fact they told me the appraisal didn’t come in high enough for thisNot at any time did someone actually verbalize this to me before I sat down and signed the hundred pages of documents with a notary who had nothing to do with the company Not at any time did someone actually verbalize this to me My whole point of this was to be able to roll the student loan in and I would not have proceeded had I known that wasn’t part of it Very dishonest company, would not recommend them to anyone I should have gone with ***

I was refinancing my home as I had been through a divorce and needed to get my ex-spouse off of the mortgage and loan I was contacted by Paramount Equity Mortgage after I had spoken with another Loan Agency, Quicken Loans The lady from Paramount was able to get me locked into better circumstances and also let me know that there would be no cost to me going into the loan I let her know that I also would not have any reserves or payments and this was not an issue or a concern when I was first starting this loan process I had started E-signing documents on February 2nd, I had to supply documents throughout the next few weeks and a few weeks into the process was stated that I was going to need to pay out of pocket for an appraisal that was going to cost I questioned this as I was originally told that there would be no out of pocket expenses, I got the appraisal done, by home came out at 216, The loan amount that I am requesting was for 133,to debt consolida

Christopher Y***, was awesome! He was patient, understanding, helpful, and very knowledgeable He went above and beyond to get the refinance completed on time Very quick responses to email, and calls I would highly recommend Chris for a mortgage refinance!
