I was contacted by LoanPal Specialist *** *** about refinancing my houseMr*** service itself was impeccable, but I cannot say the same about the practices of his employer
Beginning early this year, Mr*** walked us through a process for refinancing our home, and everything went well, until it came time for the appraisalLoanPal based the amount we qualified for (which they volunteered from the beginning, we never asked for a specific amount) on the values of other similar properties in our neighborhood
The appraiser valued our house to be worth about $20,less than LoanPal estimated, which in turn would have increased our monthly payments, not reduced themWe politely declined to refinance, and Mr.*** understood
A few days later, we received a letter from LoanPal, stating our "loan application was denied because of insufficient collateral"

Well I applied for a mortgage and they checked my credit ***es I believe that was over kill and dented my credit ,But the main reason for my complaint is that the salesmen was rude when I wasn't approved ,but he said he would give me my appraisal money of would be refunded to me well I haven't seen it yet .I talked to *** *** the salesman's manager said he would give me my money back ,Then I talked to his manager *** I don't remember his last name ,but he said he would give me my money back and I haven't seen my yetI am asking if you can help me get my money backThank you , *** ***

Will G*** with Loanpal was not the first lender to call when we started looking at refinancing but when he did call he was sincere and honest about what Loanpal would do to make our lending experience a positive oneHe took the time to answer all my questions and helped me to completely understand the process and he made himself available via phone/text as we went through the whole processIn our ignorance we had initially decided to go with a different lender who actually told us that we needed to give a credit card number to lock in a rate and get an appraisal and didn't even lock in the quoted rate until I gave them a competitors bidWill, who had already locked our rate with Loanpal and committed to appraisal in the loan costs, called me to see if we were ready to move forwardI told him that we had decided to use the other lenderHe sounded disappointed but was not rude or angryLater I received a pleading yet informative email from Will about the lender we had chosen which caused me to think twice about using themWith further research about Loanpal(which was mostly positive) and finding out that the other lender was known (and had actually been sued) for using "bait and switch" tactics, I was convinced that I had gone the wrong wayThe other lender's appraisal was done at this point (we were charged for it) and we were fully approved with them tooI called Will to ask what we could do if we were now to use Loanpal insteadHe was very understanding and willing to go the extra mile to get us the best deal possibleHe got the loan costs down even more, with no out of pocket costs and even got the cost of the appraisal waived in the endWe moved forward quickly and were able to close and fund a week before the rate lock expiredI would recommend Will to anyone who is looking to get a loan

I applied for a refinance/cash out loan in October (2016) with Paramount Equity Mortgage, through a referral I live in *** ***, CA and so the local office I applied with was their ***, CA office Unfortunately, should have researched this company There was miscommunication by one of their office staff, unnecessary e-mails, ineffective service provided by their title company, Timios, an overall frustrating experience My current issuefirst payment was due December 1, 2016; was provided by mail a temporary payment coupon to forward payment to their *** *** *** *** *** CA addressI mailed my payment November 29, Received a regular mortgage statement in the mail on December 3, 2016, which shows no payment received Phoned Paramount Equity at their *** and was told that I had to call their *** CA office *** *** Of course when I called, I was transferred to someone named Anna, who I was told is the person who handles loan payments Got her voicemail and left a message I have been a homeowner for over thirty years and have never experienced any problems like this I will follow up with a letter of complaint and to find out where's the check for December's payment This company is horrible and terribly unprofessional and I would recommend them to anyone
