Fantastic experience from beginning to end! Penguin was able to send a tech quickly to my house during a busy summer season. My tech, [redacted], showed up on time and did a great job in helping to understand my problem as well as informing me as to preventative care for my units go forward. I am very pleased with my experience and would use Penguin Air in the future.

Oliver was great! He was very professional, diagnosed the problem, communicated clearly and was very friendly. I also appreciated that someone from the office called to follow-up with us on the service we received.

Service was quick and painless. Tech was informative and honest. Was given multiple options for potential maintenance issues that could happen down the road. Happy customer.

I had a great experience today from Penguin Air Conditioning. My A/C stopped working last night and my home quickly became too uncomfortable to sleep. I was worried it might take several days to have my unit assessed, which would mean more sleepless nights. To my surprise, Penguin Air Conditioning made it a priority to get me back into a comfortable, climate controlled home once again. [redacted] was the technician and was very pleasant and professional. Within 10 minutes my A/C was functioning again properly, with a bad capacitor as the reason for the unit not working. Thank you for helping me finally get some sleep. I can see why they have an A+ rating!

What I thought was great service and being treated kindly turned out to be an ugly horrible feeling in my stomach. I purchased through Groupon for an a/c tune-up and the technician who came out seemed very kind and knowledgeable. I was told that my condenser fan motor was going out, my capacitor was going out, and that I didn't have a hard start, which I guess is necessary. As a single mom with my children and granddaughter living with me, I could not afford to go without an air conditioner. My granddaughter has seizures due to not being able to handle temperature differences, so extreme hot or extreme cold can cause a seizure. Anyway, I trusted this man. I even gave him a good review to his employer. I told him I have lost my job too. I paid $1611.75 for parts and labor to replace those pieces, and yet I received my tune-up paperwork after I agreed to the work and was told they were all good. A condenser unit for my Carrier unit, at high cost, is $202.75. I was charged $929.25 cents. The blower run capacitor, at high cost, is $16.20 and I paid $173.25 and a compressor saver hard start, at high cost, is $58.95 and I was charged $362.25. I get there is labor in there, but really, what should have been a $500 charge and they do a 200% markup? I am so sick to my stomach. My dad was right and I should have gone to him first. But I thought the days of taking advantage of women were over. I guess not. And what makes this worse is I have a home warranty and when I told Jesus that, I was told it would not be covered because the unit has not been properly maintenance. And after speaking with my dad and him wanting me to go to the Attorney General, I called them, and they said yes, if they had gone out, I would have paid my deductible and they would have replaced the parts. I need this bad experience just like I need another hole in my head. I am so disappointed.

Penguin Air installed my new Trane Heat pump May 30th and [redacted] and his co-worker did a great job. They were very professional and efficient and completed the installation in record time. Thank you to Tim who was very helpful and knowledgeable about the unit I wanted installed and had it installed in two days. Great company !!!!

When our old 14 yr old ac unit was not performing to well any more I had gotten quotes from 5 ac companies and after review Penguin Air came in the best.On May 27th I had Penguin air install a new 14SEER Trane unit by [redacted] and [redacted] there installers who were fabulous, install and whole experience went extremely well and witout a hitch. Iwould recommend Penguin Air to anyone who needs a great price and also great employees.

Review: Purchased two Air Conditioning units with a documented 15.5 SEER rating from Penguin Air. Communicated there would be an [redacted] rebate for energy efficiency. [redacted] reviewed the installed units and concluded the actual SEER rating was 14.5 and therefore not eligible for a rebate.

I have called Penguin Air on 5 different days over the period 6/7/2015 through 6/30/2015 and have received no indication that Penguin will resolve the SEER discrepancy or the rebate. I am now questioning if I was falsely sold a unit with lower SEER rating and therefore over-charged on the units installed.Desired Settlement: If in fact the units actually have a SEER rating less than documented in my order paperwork, that I be refunded a cash value in line with lower efficiency units. My estimate would be at least $1000. If [redacted] has erroneously determined the SEER rating, then Penguin needs to resolve with [redacted] gain the expected rebate value.

Penguin Air has contacted [redacted] and corrected the model numbers listed on the rebate form. Mr. [redacted] was also contacted and made aware of the clerical error. We have since resubmit the rebate to [redacted] for Mr. Butner. The unit that was installed was in fact a 15.5 SEER unit, and the incorrect model number was entered on the [redacted] rebate form. We are very pleased with Penguin Air & Home Services, Jesse L., Service Pro was exceptional! He found our problem almost immediately! The humidity we had in our home was so unreal, it was like going into a "sweat lodge!" This problem has gone on for well over a year/to years! We had a competitor here many times trying too 'fix' the problem, to no avail! After Jesse checked everything, in a matter of an hour, he took care of the problem, much to my surprise! The humidity was just about gone! I'm looking forward to finally enjoying 'cool air' and it's all due to the expertise of Jesse! I highly recommend Penguin Air and Jesse, the Service Pro!

Would give it 4 out of 5 stars only because technician admitted having never worked on an old unit as the one I've got (31 years old).
Everything else was great. Will use them again

Review: Our initial agreement for a new a/c unit included a new bar grill for my return air duct. After the installers completed the install, I asked why the bar grill had not been installed. They explained that Will had instructed them NOT to install the bar grill. I called [redacted] immediately and he stated that I had an odd size bar grill, but that he would order me a new one and get it installed ASAP. It has been two months (2/4/2015) since I paid in full for the project and still have not had the bar grill installed. I have called numerous times and each time I call I am told that it will be a couple of weeks. The last time I called (4/2/2015), I explained my frustration to the representative and she said that she would look into it and call me back. I haven't heard back from anyone since.Desired Settlement: Penguin Air should install the bar grill in order to complete the contract. I paid them in full two months ago trusting that it would be completed in a timely manner. Two months seems to be an excessive amount of time to have passed and for the job to still be incomplete.

When [redacted] wrote up the agreed upon contract with Mr. [redacted], that he then paid in full, never had a custom bar type filter grill listed on the contract. This is why the installers were never instructed by [redacted] to install the custom bar type filter grill. It was not a part of the agreed upon contract. I believe Mr. [redacted] had our contract confused with another companies as he was receiving multiple bids.Since the bar type filter grill was never a part of the agreed upon contract I feel this complaint should be dropped. Penguin Air completed all of the work to satisfactory form as agreed upon on the original contract in which Mr. [redacted] paid in full. Even though we believe this complaint should be completely dropped as it was not part of the contract I did contact Mr. [redacted] and we have succesfully installed the custom bar type filter grill that he requested. We are a very customer service friendly company and we wanted to make sure Mr. [redacted] was very happy with us in the end regardless of what the contract listed. We are very proud of our good reviews, our A+ rating, and the fact that we have 0 complaints on the Revdex.com. Thanks, [redacted] General Manager [redacted]

Friendly and did a great job.

Purchased 2 new air and heating units from Penguin Air just over 1 year ago. The company is outstanding as well as their employees from the sales staff, to install to their service staff. [redacted] provided me a semi-annual maintenance service today and he is professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. I would highly recommend them.
