Review: My phone is listed under the name of [redacted] because when it was listed under my name I got phone calls fron debt collectors for 4 years looking for [redacted]. Though I answered the call when I could and told them they had the wrong number for the person they searched for the calls continued. I am now constantly getting calls from Penn Credit Corp looking for [redacted]. Twice I have talked to someone and told them no such person lived at this number and I was told my number would be removed from their list, yet the calls continue. I take care of my mother who is 88, has Parkinsons and needs help getting around our home, being bathed, being feed, etc. So these calls are an extreme nuisance. I WANT THESE CALLS TO STOP. I am NOT a deadbeat. All my accounts are current.Desired Settlement: I WANT THE CALLS TO MY HOME (PHONE NUMBER [redacted]) FOR [redacted] STOPPED. I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THIS NONSENSE.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Regards,

Review: I repeatedly receive automated calls to my home number from Penn Credit Corporation regarding a debt to [redacted] in the amount $61.25. I received messages instructing me to call ###-###-#### regarding account number [redacted]. I owe no such debt. These automated calls provide no method for transfer to a live agent. When I called back, it instructed me to call during business hours. I finally reached the business today. Supposedly, my number was removed. However, both representatives were rude and hung up on me when I tried to bill them for my time and services. I asked for an explanation as to why I was called. I was told that it was because I have a common name. I asked whether they simply attempt to call every person with my name. I was told not. When I asked for an explanation, I was given none.Desired Settlement: I want an explanation for why I was called repeatedly regarding a debt that was not mine. I want to know whether this company simply calls everyone with a similar name versus somehow targeting their calls.

I would like pecuniary compensation for unsolicited calls and for the advice I provided on how to improve their business processes.

Review: I was sent a collection statement by PENN CREDIT for 178.00 and paid it 5/2012. I was then sent a subsequent coillection statement 10/2013 for the same bill of 178.00 with $13.70 added to it in late fees demanding that I pay the same ticket AGAIN. After much back and forth wrangling on the phone and at the window at their [redacted] County Courthouse office, as I am still in possession of my receipt and proof that I paid the the bill in 5/2012, so they called me and told me they would credit my account, apparently they only creditf the original amount that I paid $178.00., because two weeks later I received a bill for the $13.70 in late fees that they added to the $178.00 bill that I had already paid in 5/2012. I called their office to bring it to their attention and they refused to acknowledge that I should not be asked to pay late fess on a bill that was already paid. I argued (with Barbara Johnson and on a second calll with [redacted] both mgrs) that it was PennCredit's error to send me the bill for payment a SECOND time and the late fees should have been discharged with their acknowledgement that I had paid the bill of 5/2012 by crediting my account. I called ###-###-#### which was the phone number given on the statement letter mailed to me. [redacted] claimed that I owed an increased percentage as of 11/2011 that was not added in at the time I paid the bill in 5/2012, but if that was true, why was the increase NOT in the computer when I paid the bill IN PERSON at THEIR office window? The young lady at the PENN CREDIT window looked up the bill in the PENN CREDIT computer and told me the amount as of 5/2012 which I proceeded to p ay on the spot and was given a receipt. I heard nothing from PENN CREDIT for 18 months, when they started harrasing me with these bogus charges. Please investigate this issue for me. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like PennCredit to discharge the $13.70 from their records and send me a letter stating that my account is at ZERO acknowlwdging that I owe them nothing from this case. This case should be CLOSED already as I paid it 5/2012 and have the paid receipt in my possession.

Review: I've been getting calls from ###-###-####, which comes up as Unavailable on my Caller ID, for the past three months with an automated message stating that they have a message concerning important business to discuss. When I've listened to the message, the person they are looking for is a [redacted] (not sure of spelling), which is not me. The automated message leaves no option to tell them they are calling a wrong number. I've tried calling them back to inform them of this, only to either not be able to get through or they've hung up on me and not registered my complaint. The phone calls come several times a week. I found out who they were by looking the phone number up on the internet, and have seen quite a few other people have had issues with this company.Desired Settlement: I just want them to stop bothering me, since I'm not who they're looking for.

Review: I was sent to Collections from [redacted] Fire Rescue in [redacted]. The collection company is Penn Credit. I advised Penn Credit that I never received an initial notice of payment due from [redacted] and did not understand how I was sent to collections. Penn Credit told me that if I could afford to make the phone call to them, then I could afford to pay the bill. Here is the body of the letter that I provided to Penn Credit. "February, 15, 2013 Penn Credit [redacted], [redacted] Balance: $327 Re: Outstanding Invoice for Emergency Services Dear Sir / Ma’am I have just received an invoice from your office for services rendered during a 911 emergency which occurred on December 4, 2011. I had received a similar bill from the [redacted] Emergency Room in January of 2012 which was subsequently waived due to financial hardship, and I had hoped to receive the same kindness from your office should I ever receive a bill. Please note that your services were called into play during a genuine medical emergency; thank you for your prompt response. At this time, I am overly burdened caring for my ill, elderly parents (my father has had two heart attacks and a stroke, and my mother suffers from ongoing liver issues which began after a questionable surgery in her native [redacted]) in addition to other family members for whom I am the primary caretaker. I do not have health insurance and cannot afford to pay any amount at this time. I ask that you please forgive this debt; I would not have called if it weren’t a genuine emergency. The [redacted] Hospital Emergency Room saw fit to dismiss the corresponding debt stemming from the same incident and I ask from the bottom of my heart for your office to do the same. Feel free to contact me at [redacted] if you wish to discuss this matter further. Thank you for your understanding during these difficult times. Warmest Regards, [redacted]" I advised Penn Credit that my circumstances currently do not allow me to be able to set up a payment plan. I have been unemployed since December of 2012. They refused to work with me. I also disputed the validity that this bill went to collections to begin with. I contacted [redacted] Fire Rescue Department (the original creditor) and faxed them proof that I had updated my address with the USPS department effective 3/1/12. All my other bills etc have been forwarded to me since then as this was not my only bill from date of service 12/4/11. I have not fallen behind, been delinquent or failed to acknowledge my financial obligations to the dozens of other organizations that I have since dealt with and I feel that being sent to collections was unjust.Desired Settlement: I would like the [redacted] Fire Rescue Department to pull my account from collections with Penn Credit. Then, I would like my balance of $327 to be waived due to my current financial hardship. I do not believe that it's fair to have sent me to collections without allowing me the ability to resolve this matter directly with [redacted] Fire Rescue first and I definitely do not think this matter should be allowed to effect my credit score. I advised Penn Credit that my circumstances currently do not allow me to be able to set up a payment plan. I have been unemployed since December of 2012. They refused to work with me. RE: [redacted]

Case: [redacted]

Penn Credit takes pride in following all Federal and

State Collection laws.

[redacted] Fire Rescue placed an account in our office

on 1/22/2013 for a balance of $327.01 in reference to a service date of

12/04/2011. The required validation

notice was sent to the address provided by our client on 1/23/2013. We were later notified the address the client

has on file was no longer valid.

We located a phone number for [redacted] and contacted

her by phone in 2/21/2013; she notified the agent that she did not receive any

notification that a balance was due from the client. The agent informed her that our client mailed

bills to the address they were provided and the balance is now due.

[redacted] contacted our office again on 2/22/2013 and

stated she is currently experiencing a financial hardship and wanted to know if

we received the fax letter she sent to our office. The agent explained to her that we have not

received the fax at the time of the call.

[redacted] contacted our office again on

2/22/2013 and spoke to our medical manager.

The manager reviewed the fax and explained to [redacted] that our

client does not have a charity program and we are unable to provide total

forgiveness of the debt as she requested in her letter. The manger explained to [redacted] that we

are able to accept partial payments on the account, and began to ask questions

to determine the best payment plan for [redacted]. [redacted] responded by stating she will

start to pay when she becomes employed.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: My account should have never have been sent to collections to begin with. Here is the proof (see attachment) that I had updated my address with the United States Postal Service. I have no record of ever receiving a bill from [redacted] Fire Rescue. I want there to be proof provided that previous statements were RECEIVED by me and that forwarding my account to collections was legitimate.

Also, I advised Penn Credit that I have absolutely ZERO income coming in at the moment. I was laid off two weeks before Christmas 2012. The customer service rep had the audacity to tell me that because I was able to make a phone call, that my debt should not be forgiven. I have no means to pay this bill. Had I received this bill in a timely manner, my circumstances would have been different and I could have arranged a more proper payment plan. I advised Penn Credit that I would send them $1/mo and they told me that the collection process and harassment phone calls would continue despite my payment.

Regards,

Review: I had a bill that went to collections with PennCredit. This bill was paid in 2011 and my credit was cleared up or so I thought. I recently tried to obtain a loan to purchase a home. Imagine my shock when I was informed that I do not quality for a loan because I have a bill that was sent to collections, thus bringing my credit score just below where it needs to be for a home loan approval. I knew I paid this bill in 2011, when I called PennCredit on Monday 3-4-13 I was informed that this bill was paid in 2011 just as I thought. However I was then informed that I would have to dispute this bill to get it off of my credit report so that I can purchase a home and the process can take a few months. The lady I spoke to was rude and would not provide me with help other then stating she will mail the information I need to dispute this paid bill with three different companies. I called back again yesterday 3-11-13 because I still have not received the information needed to clear my credit and was told that it could take up to three weeks to get the paperwork in the mail. I live in ** and the company is in ** so I do not understand that! I understand this company is doing a job and that I should not have let this bill go to collections in the first place, but what do I have to do to get it off my credit report? This was a one hundred dollar bill that was paid two years ago and is now standing in the way of my first home purchase. Please remove this already paid bill from my credit report and do whatever needs completed so that my credit reflects this bill being removed two years ago when it was paid.

Sincerely,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: Remove collection bill from my credit report and have my credit score reflect it being removed two years ago since this is when the bill was paid as per my records and a representative at PennCredit.

Review: Penn Credit Corporation contacted my father at his place of business and left a recorded message stating that I owe $27.99.

1. According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Penn Credit Corporation has broken the law by contacting my father, who is not an allowable third party contact,

1. I am a 42 year old man who has zero financial connection to my 72 year old father,

2. There is absolutely NO debt I owe that would possibly be in collections.Desired Settlement: My desire is for a formal written apology and admission of legal wrongdoing according to the FDCPA.

Review: I received a recorded call from someone at 7:30pm on 12/21/2013. The recording stated that they were a collection agency but did not identify the company. They then told me I had to pay a debt of $230 within 5 days. They did not identify who the debt was owed to and when I checked my credit report online there was no such debt listed there. The then demanded I either pay within 5 days. I found out who the company was by looking up the phone number online.Desired Settlement: I want this company to leave me alone. I do not owe this amount to anyone and will not pay a company that does not identify itself an unidentified debt. It is also my understanding that calls of this nature that are a recording with no option to speak with a real person are illegal.

Our client [redacted] placed an account in our office for collection on 11/26/2013; we mailed the required validation notice to the same address listed on the Revdex.com complaint on 11/27/2013. [redacted] is stating [redacted]. [redacted] has an outstanding balance of $223.77, I have requested a breakdown of the charges to provide to [redacted]. [redacted], and once I receive I will forward to her through the Revdex.com.

Our automated service provides the name of our company and who we are calling for right after the person on the phone line verifies they are the correct party. Our automated message goes on to state to the correct party the following “their balance is long past due. It must be paid in full to our company within 5 days. If you are unable to pay the entire balance to this collection agency in the next 5 days, it is imperative that you call this office. It then allows the correct party to 3 different options on how they would like to proceed with their account. These 3 options allow the correct party to get the address to make their payment, if they would like to call our office during out office hours, or if they would like to speak to someone right now.

I have placed a hold on the account until we are able to provide the verification of the debt to [redacted]. [redacted] which will explain why [redacted] placed her account in our office for collections.

Review: I continue to get collection calls from Penn Credit Corporation, even after letting them know the debtor they're attempting to contact, no longer has any association with me.

The person they're attempting to locate was my girlfriend. In April 2014 it will be 3 YEARS since we've been together and in the same household. She has since married.

I have explained this to Penn Credit Corporation before on previous calls with them. Today's call ended with the same from them: "We'll make a notation to your

account sir." MY ACCOUNT? That tells me right there they have no intention of ceasing their collection effort on the end of my telephone line. I would be more than happy

to record a conversation with them and send you an audio file of it, if it would lend some teeth to your effort. The home phone number I provided is all they need to identify

HER account records. Every time I call them back, they pull up their records using caller ID and my phone number. Don't let them pull your leg on that. I can just hear them saying:

"We need more information in order to address this issue."Desired Settlement: Stop contacting me.

Review: My Credit Report Fraud Protection notified me that stated Company reported a collections on my credit. I called and told them I had not lived in that house for 10 years. I had rented it out for several yrs but sold in late 2007 and filed bankruptcy in 2011 (discharge date 11/07/2009.

The Penn Credit manager ([redacted]) told me that it resulted in a tenant not paying and their client, ([redacted]) transferred to me. I did not even own the house in 2009. I paid the debt plus the fee but they refused to remove the error. Penn Credit told me to call [redacted]. [redacted] told me that since Penn Credit posted to my credit report, they had to remove it. A dispute is on file with [redacted].

If, when this debt presumbly occurred it was, 1) Bill not in my name, 2) services not requested by me, 3) I was in Bankrupcty in 2009 and 4) no due process was rendered. I was never called, mailed, emailed, NOTHING. I would have never let to go on my report. I am trying to build my credit.

I am owed due process. I have not lived in [redacted] for 10 years! My address and phone number in on my credit report, I could have been found had they tried to contact me for payment.Desired Settlement: Collections Report deleted completely from my credit report asap. I use my landline as my office line since I work from home. The day I turned the line on, I started getting at least 2 calls a day, 7 days a week from Penn Credit. They're looking for someone who doesn't have this number and I've told them several times that they have the wrong number. They continue to call and one woman even asked "are you sure it's the wrong number?" in a very accusatory tone on one call. I can't imagine what it must be like actually owing them money, because they clearly don't give up on trying to collect it.

Review: Penn Credit calls me several times a day regarding a collection issue that belongs to someone I have never heard of. The call at all hours which I find very harassing.Desired Settlement: They obviously have the wrong phone number for the person they are trying to collect from. I want them to cease and desist with the phone calls to me.

Review: I am writing regarding a debt occurred in 2012 at a toll station, which was paid promptly after it was incurred. For the better part of two years my husband has sent proof multiple times that the debt was paid. However, PennCredit has ignored all proof and continues to threaten to ruin my credit if I do not pay $133.00 (the original amount of the toll being a few dollars). This amounts to extortion.

Sequence of Events:

My husband used my car and drove through the toll. Our [redacted] account had an old credit card on file, which caused our account to not be replenished as usual. Once we became aware of the situation, we updated the account with a new credit card. The credit card was updated and the past due toll was deducted from our account. We were sent us a letter saying that we violated the toll, we replied that money had been added to the account and the past due amount had been paid/deducted from our account (standard practice). Initially we were told that the debt would be taken out of their system, but we continued to receive letters and phone calls. For two years, we have sent proof over and over again—both to the Delaware Department of Transportation and to PennCredit. For two years they have ignored all proof time and time again and have now begun to threaten that if we don’t pay the account will be “charged off” affecting my credit even further.

It is unconscionable that a company would be able to extort money for a paid bill by threatening to ruin a person’s credit.Desired Settlement: PennCredit and Delaware Department of Transportation must immediately correct this error in their system and notify us that the error has been corrected. Furthermore, both companies must cease further threats to my credit and correct any reports made to the credit bureaus due to their error.
