Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
However I do believe that this issue could have been avoided if 1) they would provide a receipt/confirmation of pending transaction - they do not, 2) provide a receipt when payment is posted, they say I have to wait 21 days from payment before I can even call back for a letter stating that payment has been made and finally, 3) unfortunately they failed to mention that the deduction were split into different days, which caused the confusion in the first place and I did not know or agreed to two payments, I should have been notified of the mistake on their end and asked to authorize another deduction.
Regards,

Penn Credit did review and investigate the complaint. I have answered Mr. [redacted] concern’s in the attorney general response dated June 10, 2015. (Below)
On June 29, 2015 I did forward Mr. [redacted] validation directly to the original creditor and placed the account in a disputed status....

Additionally Penn Credit deleted the credit reporting on June 11, 2015 and will be updated if [redacted] Hospital provides Mr. [redacted] validation of the debt and states it owed.
Penn Credit has ceased all collection activity until [redacted] Hospital has returned the results of the investigation back to Penn Credit. If Penn Credit does not receive a response by August 29, 2015 we will close and return the account due to a lack of response.

RE: [redacted], Saul [redacted]
Dear Mr. [redacted]:
Penn Credit Corporation hasn’t violated any collection laws at the state or federal level.
I reviewed and investigated the complaint. I understand that Mr. [redacted] is disputing the debts stating insurance should have paid them and that he provided insurance information twice in order to have paid.
Please advise Mr. [redacted], that we have never communicated with him in reference to the account(s) placed in our office according to our records.
Additionally, these may be co-pays or self pay accounts. I would like Mr. [redacted] to review his Explanation of Benefits (EOB) for the service dates of 11/26/2013 & 10/24/2013.
If Mr. [redacted] reviews and still feels he does not owe the money, please advise him to send the documentation supporting his claim and then I will forward to the hospital for review and proper credited if deemed correct.
If Mr. [redacted] would like to discuss the matter further please have him contact me directly toll free at ###-###-#### or email me at [redacted]
Thank you for your help in resolving this matter.
Sincerely;

Penn Credit did review and investigate the complaint.
[redacted] did copntact our office and state she never received a bill that she moved and does not remember the service date. She stated that she would contact the original creditor herself.
I do not know if she has done so, however, I...

did request validation of the debt and did update the account to a disputed status. Resulting the credit bureau will reflect the dispute.
Once the validation is received it will be sent to [redacted] for review. I will give her an opportunity tro review the validation before updating the credit bureau to reflect the proper status of the account.
If [redacted] would like to discuss the matter further please have her contact Thomas P[redacted] directly toll free ###-###-#### or email him at [redacted]@penncreditcom

This company sent me a mailing regarding a supposed state tax bill that I owed, for a time when I was not living in the state in question. The 'supervisor' I was speaking with then asked to know where I was living; there was no way I was going to give her any of my personal information so that they could try a new scam on me.
After that little exchange, I insisted on providing her with the case number of the fraud complaint I had filed with the Federal Trade Commission, but she was not too happy about that, and did not think she needed it. However, she will soon find out she does need that, once the government's investigation into their fraudulent practice begins.

Case:  [redacted]
             Please be advised
that Penn Credit takes pride in following all Federal and State collection
laws.
            Penn Credit
does second placement collections for our client PPL, so we are not the first
agency to attempt to collect on the outstanding account in question.  PPL placed the delinquent account in our
office for Mrs. [redacted] on 12/13/2013 in the amount of $170.03 for services for
[redacted].
We mailed the required validation
notice to the address PPL provided on 12/14/2013 and a second notice on
2014/01/24.  We did not receive a
response to either letter.
            The only communication
we have received from Mrs. [redacted] was on January 19, 2015 where she requests
verification of debt.
Thank you for your assistance in the resolution of this
matter

[redacted] does receive any additional calls please have her use Penn Credit’s wrong number “OPT OUT” option to stop calls immediately or she can contact Thomas Perrotta directly toll free ###-###-#### or email him at [redacted]@penncreditcom. RE:     [redacted]
Case:  [redacted]
To Whom It May Concern:
Please be advised that I have reviewed [redacted]’s response
and disagree with his statements.
The original creditor sent several statements and the dates
of the statements were noted,  again I stress
there is no record of the client notices being returned.
The FCRA requires that we report correct information
provided by the creditor. The creditor is required to investigate a dispute and
they did so.
According to the creditor the balance forwarded to Penn
Credit for collections is due and accurate.
If [redacted] still feels that Penn Credit is reporting
inaccurate information he may do one of the following:
1.       Dispute
the reporting through the credit bureau with his explanation. The credit bureau
will than make the decision to remove or not.
2.       Provide
Penn Credit with reasonable documentation of a legitimate dispute; that the
money is not owed or any other reason that would solidify his dispute that
would provide Penn Credit the ability to remove the reporting.
As mentioned in my last response If  [redacted] should feel free to contact Tom P[redacted], Vice President of collections to openly discuss his
concerns at [redacted] or email him at [redacted] .

I did not request VERIFICATION of debt but instead a VALIDATION of debt. You are reporting this false account on my credit report which is a violation of the FCRA. You also must uphold the FDCPA in which I demand you cease and desist all activity on this account Including reporting it to the credit bureaus until you can provide me proof that this debt belongs to me. I demand this false account be removed from the credit bureaus immediately.

I reviewed and investigated the account. [redacted] did contact our office on May 22, 2015 and informed us that she never ordered or received the items and disputed the account. Additionally, [redacted] did notify that she did call the original creditor and that they were going to close the account....

On May 26, 2015 The original creditor did close the account.
Penn Credit did not violate any laws or statutes concerning the complaint. The original creditor did send the account to our office for collections. Penn Credit did send a validation notice as governed by law which includes the consumers rights to dispute or validate the debt in part or whole.
According to the complaint [redacted] did state she recveived a letter and did respond to the letter. The letter did serve its purpose and [redacted]s action(s) resolved her concerns.
I only wish more consumers would act as [redacted] acted it would stop un-necessary follow up and continued collections to conusmers that dipsute their accounts.
Please inform [redacted] that I apologize for any inconvenience the letter may have caused her and am glad that it has been promptly resolved.
If [redacted] would like to discuss with me directly I can be reached toll free at ###-###-#### or email me at [redacted]@penncredit.com

Penn Credit takes pride in following all Federal and State Collection calls.    I believe that [redacted] has the agencies contacting him confused as...

we do not collect for [redacted] Loans.  We do have an account in our office for a [redacted] account with a service date of 12/2/2010 for a dictionary and Encyclopedia.
Thank you for your assistance in the resolution of this matter

Penn Credit takes pride in following all Federal and State Collection calls.

Please be advised our client [redacted] placed an account in our office for collection on May 12, 2014, any prior conversations [redacted] might have had last year were not with Penn Credit.   The account in question was placed in our office for a [redacted] with a social security number with the last 4 numbers of [redacted], with a mailing address in Maryland.  We were supplied a new address for [redacted] with the same SS #, which matches the address on the Revdex.com complaint.

In cases such as these it is my experience two things could have happened, we fact the correct person or person is a possible victim of fraud due to I. D Theft.

I have disputed the account in my office as a dispute due to possible fraud and have notified my client of the same.   I will forward more information through the Revdex.com once I receive it from my client.

Penn Credit did review and investigate the complaint. Penn Credit was calling a wrong number and apologizes for the inconvenience.  Penn Credit does have a wrong number “OPT OUT” option that can be used to help all consumers from receiving wrong number calls. We include this option because we...

do not want to call or inconvenience consumers. The phone number was flagged on 10/24/2016 as a wrong number. [redacted] will not receive any additional calls, if he would like to discuss the matter further please have him contact Thomas P[redacted] directly toll free ###-###-#### or email him at [redacted]@penncreditcom if he should receive any additional calls. Thank you for your help in theresolution of this matter.

Penn Credit reviewed and investigated the complaint.   Please be advised that Penn Credit received notification from the original creditor on September 8, 2017 that [redacted] paid this account in full.  The final payment was made directly to the original creditor, it was not paid to...

Penn Credit.         I reached out to the original creditor due to [redacted] stating she entered a payment plan which should have prevented the account from being sent to Penn Credit.  I will provide an updated response once I hear back from the original creditor.    Please understand as a data furnisher, Penn Credit must adhere to the Fair Credit Reporting Act and is obligated to report true and accurate information.  As a result, Penn Credit will only remove the trade-line from [redacted] credit bureau reports if it is confirmed by the original creditor that the account was sent in error.  If the account was not sent in error, Penn Credit will not delete the trade-line, however, the account will reflect as paid in full.         Please advise [redacted] to contact me directly should she have any questions or concerns.  My direct line is [redacted] extension [redacted], or she can email me at [redacted]@penncredit.com.   Thank you for your assistance in resolving this matter.

Penn Credit updated [redacted]’s account as a cease and desist on February 2, 2017 to prevent further communication regarding the matter.  The reason verification of the debt was requested is a direct result of her request as outlined in the initial complaint she filed.  Please be advised that due to this request, Penn Credit mailed [redacted] an itemized breakdown of the debt on March 1, 2017.  The mailing of the itemized bill is the last communication [redacted] will receive from Penn Credit pertaining to the matter.  In the event [redacted] has any questions or concerns, please have her contact me directly, Thomas P[redacted].  My toll free number is ###-###-####, ext. [redacted]; or email Thomas.P[redacted]@penncredit.com.   Thank you for your assistance and resolution regarding the matter.

Penn Credit reviewed and investigated the complaint.    I am unable to verify the account in question with the information provided by [redacted]   Penn Credit requests that [redacted] provide additional pertinent information allowing me to verify the matter in question.  I...

request that [redacted] provide the name of the original creditor, the account number or the last four digits of her social security number.  Upon receiving this information, I will re-open the investigation and respond to [redacted] dispute accordingly.   Please advise [redacted] to contact me directly if she has any questions or concerns.  My name is [redacted] I can be reached toll free at [redacted] or email [redacted]     Thank you for your assistance and resolution regarding the matter.

[redacted] did and has provided Penn Credit Corporation with dispute information concerning her debt along with a letter from [redacted] stating that they would provide a one time forgiveness of monies owed due to a difference in [redacted] Insurance.   The problem is the amount in the letter [redacted]...

provided does not match the amount of the debt we are attempting to collect, now to my review a service date to prove that the debt was covered by this letter.   There is no doubt that [redacted] disputes the debt and we have placed the account in a disputed status and Penn Credit will not continue to collect for account # [redacted]. Furthermore, Penn Credit has not reported the debt to the credit bureau.   However, please advise [redacted] that we can’t stop the original creditor from further collection efforts if they decide to do so in the future.   If [redacted] would like to discuss the matter further please have her contact Thomas P[redacted] toll free at ###-###-#### or email him at [redacted]@penncredit.com.   Thank you for your assistance in the resolution of this matter.
