I want to preface that we are fully understanding of the current economic conditions and how that is affecting businesses, big or small. However, it is unacceptable the way in which Pier 1 has handled customer service during this time. We ordered a desk on May 16th as we are indefinitely WFH and have been working from our couch and bedroom. So we needed this desk asap!
The order status says it's still "processing" and has not even charged our card. We have tried contacting CS over phone but after long wait times the line drops. We also have experienced almost 2 hour wait times in the chat just to tell us that they were unavailable to chat. After reading other complaints, I've submitted a concern on Instagram today and noticed Pier 1 is continuing to post sales on the IG but ignoring clients who have already ordered and not received anything. It's completely unacceptable. We need to know if this is going to be processed and shipped this week, otherwise, we would like to cancel our order and order a desk from somewhere else.

I ordered a papason swing this morning, and after I completed the sale, I was charged for 2 swings instead of 1. I called them and waited on the phone for 2 hours. I asked to have the quantity fixed, and they said no. They said there are no changes regardless of what it was or if it was a glitch in their system. I told them I was also being charged a home delivery fee when delivery was supposed to be free, and they said that also is too bad. I am very upset, and I have done a lot of business with them in the past, and I do not think I should be treated in an unfair manner. I don't want any of it now. If it comes and is damaged, I know now that they will not do anything about it. I want to cancel my order.

Our customer's purchase was made on June 1 and all sales have been final since our liquidation sale began on May 22. It's stated clearly on the website and all through the check out process. We are unable to cancel the extra chair she ordered. She's unable to return the chair to a store as well when they reopen. We're so sorry, but this is something we are totally unable to make exceptions to.

I purchased an item that was not delivered.
I also purchased an item that was delivered but NOT as described.
I am unable to reach Customer service. Their phones do not work and are defunct. The chat portal constantly kicks you off after waiting and waiting repeatedly.

I placed an order in early April and it was fulfilled in multiple shipments. I have been trying to enact a return on two items since I received them. I have screenshots of me waiting on hold for over an hour, only to be disconnected. I have multiple screenshots of "no chat available" during business hours. The phone numbers advise consumers to send a text and all texts are bouncing back saying the number is unable to receive messages. I don't know what other recourse to take...thus I am here.

On May 22,2020 I order 2 curtains for $78.00. On May 29, 2020 I received my order with ONLY 1 curtain. The package slip says both curtains were shipped however only 1 was in the box.
I have attempted to contact Pier One via phone with a four hour wait only to be disconnected after a few hours. I have also attempted to contact them via the online chat service multiple times. Each attempt to use the online chat service has been disconnected after he nearly 20 minute hold. It says that no agents are available for assistance. I just want the other curtain that I paid for. Please help!

I bought an ottoman from Pier 1 online on April 21, 2020. Unfortunately the ottoman is too large for the space that I anticipated putting in. I have been calling Pier 1 for a month now to try to get help to return. I will gladly pay for return shipping and send it back on my own. No where on the Pier 1 website does it provide you with an address to return merchandise back to. Unfortunately you have to call customer service. When I call customer service, I wait on hold for hours, finally get through and then get disconnected. None of their numbers are working and nobody ever picks up. I've tried their chat customer service, have sat there waiting in the que, and when it's finally my turn I get booted out and have to start all over. I want a physical address to return the merchandise back to, I want a refund for this purchase. I live in NY, no Pier 1 stores are open or are close. My online order # is

We have proof that patio umbrella was returned three weeks ago BUT they did not add the refund amount to my existing STORE CREDIT card...not a charge card, a credit that they put on a card...they said they have to mail a NEW one...but they do not. I waited for hours on the phone....went on chat five times for hours to be dropped when I was close in line...called and get disconnected after selecting a button.
*** they just keep everyones credit balances or must they send a check. Very disappointed! I left three messages with three VP and no one called back. No one at stores in AZ. How can they get away with this?

I am rejecting this response because: I just spent three hours having to go through their entire website and found that over 85% of items NOT deliverable to my zip code in Tucson area! And I called all AZ stores and there are not open! CAN Pier 1 send a check for the amount of my now two store credits that total $63.00???? I have tried beyond my limit and have no way to get anything delivered! Thanks for your AMAZING help !!! I felt JUSTICE getting the store credit THANKS to you and then found I could not use it and FORGET the phone or chat, THANKS sooooo much...have great respect for your company!!!

From Pier 1:We have explained to the customer that since she used a gift card for her purchase, she can only receive a merchandise credit for her refund. This spends just like a gift card. It can be redeemed online until July 2 and for 30 days after her local store opens. After that time it will have no value.***Tell us why here...

I am rejecting this response because:a business that offers a store credit MUST also offer availability to a purchase of product....as stores NOT open in Arizona.....AND with NO phone availability to talk with a customer service agent and NO CHAT availability.....and a website that listed thousands of products with NO indication that it is NOT available in my zip code until I go to the ...in the cart....mode....should NOT be able to insist in a store credit position....but due to bankruptcy.....REFUND the amount in form of a check!!!!! How can a compan6 CALL TH3 SHOTS to benefit them with little consideration for a consumer????? This is NOT a low price store , so my sympathy level is quite low in line with my respect for this company. AND without Revdex.com involvement....THEY offered NOTHING!!!!!!

I placed an order on Pier One a few days ago. I used 2 gift cards totalling $52. The order was canceled without me being notified. The balance has not been returned to my gift cards to reuse. I read that I only have 3 weeks to use them because of them going out of business but have not been able to reach a person to find out why my gift card balances are still zero.

I have tried numerous times to reach out to the only known forms of communication listed - phone and chat. I can never get through. I tried contacting immediately after placing an order and as I noticed wrong item placed in error. Very frustrating as I can't get in touch with anyone to Cancel.

I tried to get in touch right after the order was placed. Their website specifically defines customer must call within 1 hour of order to cancel. In my case,there was not a place to call.
The other reason is my order has not even shipped. The last correspondence was over a week ago stating my item was delayed with no estimated shipping date. There should be absolutely no reason to not cancel this order.

I am rejecting this response because:I did not see this stated. If this was the case, why was the other language still on the website stating to call within one hour to cancel. How is the customer supposed to know when you have conflicting language on your website. Therefore, the premise that the language stated as of 5/22 that there are no cancellations is not in line with other information posted on the website. The language stating to call within 24 hours was up on your website way past your noted cut off date of 5/22 and still was last time I checked.Again, this item had emails stating a delay would occur with no estimated ship time. There is no reason this cannot be cancelled as it has not shipped.You are not making a one-time exception, you are honoring the language on your website that you failed to remove that this item could be cancelled.

All sales have been notated as a final sale on our website since we began our going out of business sale on May 22. The customer's order was placed on May 24 and is therefore final sale and cannot be refunded or cancelled. We are unable to make any exceptions to this. Her order is being delivery by a home delivery service and should take approximately 14 to 21 days to be scheduled for delivery.

I ordered 4 cushions and only 2 were delivered. My account lists the order as complete-IT IS NOT
For the past 10 days I have spent hours every day attempting to “chat” with an agent. After slowly moving up the queue and waiting and waiting I am then told there is no one available. I repeat this process multiple times a day. I would like the rest of my order or a refund.

On May 5, 2020, I ordered dining chairs from Pier 1.The order was received on May 21, 2020. Two chairs were significantly damaged to the point that it could cause injury if someone were to sit on it. I have tried to contact Pier 1 to get these chairs exchanged via the customer service phone line - no answer, online chat - that was canceled, Facebook Messenger - no response, Instagram - no response, Twitter - no response. I cannot return to the stores because the store nearest to me is permanently closed. I did send an email, and received a response that they will get back to me, but that was a week ago on 5/22/20. It is as if Pier 1's customer service department does not exist.

I understand the company is going out of business. But upon my purchase, that was not the case. At the time of purchase it was not disclosed to me that "All sales would be final". I am seeking an exchange of 2 dining chairs. But if supplies run out before I reach the company then I will seek a refund of the total order - 4 dining chairs and bench seat @ $549.47.

I ordered 2 chairs from Pier 1 on 04/26/2020 and was supposed to receive my order within 14 days. It took much longer than expected as the whole pandemic situation slowed them down but I was ok with waiting. When my chairs arrived through White Glove In-Home Delivery, the men just dropped the chairs on the porch and didn’t assemble the chairs, didn’t unwrap the chairs or take the plastic. I paid $169.99 for that delivery and nothing was done that was white glove. I tried contacting customer service and it keeps saying they’re close even though I’m calling during the open hours and I also tried to live chat but when I was number 1 in the queue it kicked me out and said no available agent was available after waiting for over 30 minutes! This is unacceptable

I recently placed an order for 4 cushions and 5 backs. The order said it was completely shipped in 4 boxes. When the items arrived I did not receive any of the cushions. They instead shipped to pillows (wrong color and didn't order). I have tried 6 times to get hold of an agent to get the cushions sent and it get disconnected every time I reach number 0 (after waiting 15 min each time). Each time I call customer service they say the wait times are 4 hours or more. Have waited over an hour and a half and get no response. I did not get the product that my credit card was charged for and they are impossible to get in contact with to get this resolved. If not resolution here will fight the charges with my American Express.

I had order some candles in April and received my order in two weeks with no issue. This month on 5/09 I ordered a patio set. As of today, 5/29 I have not received my order or an update. I have tried calling numerous times, was on hold for the chat, and called a local location and finally got a live person. When I talked to the gentleman about my concerns and not being able to contact anyone all he said was, "I don't know what to tell you." Then ended the call. I am VERY concerned as I spent almost $300 on this patio set. This is a lot of money for no update. From 5/9 - 5/29 is when I learned that Pier 1 filed Bankruptcy. This is very alarming. I've called every day for two weeks and have reached no one through their two customer service lines or chat service. Please help!

I placed an order through Pierone.com on May 8. I received notification that my order was processing but was delayed. My credit card was not charged but was authorized and the amount is pending. On May 15 I received notification from Pier 1 it was still processing. It has now been 2 more weeks. I have been unable to contact Pier 1. I have tried to call and after 8 attempts, I finally was placed on a four hour hold that hung up on me after 2 hours. I have tried the chat and waited 4 times for 20 minutes each, only to be canceled out when I reach number 1. I have tried emailing, the response was that I needed to call or text them. So I texted, to which I got the response they are unable to receive incoming texts. I tried calling my bank to cancel my card, but they can't do anything as it has been authorized. I just want to cancel my order at this point in time. I don't want a $700 charge hitting my account randomly over the next 6 months. The lack of communication and customer service is atrocious. They are basically holding my money hostage, they haven't shipped anything. I need help.

I have been a loyal customer of Pier 1 for many years. I made my final purchase through the website of a number of items on May 20, 2020, including several items (totaling thousands of dollars). I purchased 3 quantities of one particular item (a dinnerware set) that I would not have purchased if I could not obtain the correct number of sets. I received the shipment of this item today and was home and personally brought the boxes in as the driver left. The shipment information indicates that the shipment is complete, however, only 1 of the 3 quantities arrived (and I was charged hundreds of dollars for the items that did not actually arrive). Several attempts to contact Pier 1 through the chat and by phone have failed and it has become impossible for me to contact Pier 1 to determine where the rest of the shipment is and I am most concerned that Pier 1's tracking information shows the shipment as complete and Pier 1 has fully charged me for items it did not ship and I did not receive. I would not make any future purchases from Pier 1 even though it has sales to wind down. I am extremely frustrated by the inability to contact anyone to resolve the problem and the inability to determine why I have been charged for items that were not shipped.

I thought it was because I was able to reach the company but two weeks later, I have not received my products and cannot reach them. Placed an order for a set of outdoor furniture on March 29,2020, received the order on 4/8/2020 with the white glove service, with one item missing and the delivery guy was awared of, he asked me to contact customer service, which I did. Customer relations did a replacement for me and ask me to wait 10 to 21 business days, and I waited... Until today 5/29, I still have not receive the piece, and Pier 1 Import already charged my credit card for the piece. I do not want to cancel the piece because it will leave the set of furniture incomplete. Please get this piece to me, or give me a reason why a stock item is taking so long to get delivered.

I purchase a table base from Pier 1 on 5/11/2020 which was in stock at the time. Today is 5/29 and they still have not shipped out my table base and I need to get myself a dining stable so I have a surface to eat on. I have tried contacting customer service for the past two weeks and have not been able to get through. Each time I try the phone lines, all you get is a busy tone so you can never even reach them. If you try to contact them through the chat they just leave you waiting for 20 mins and then disconnect you saying there's no available agents. Now on their website everything is final sale and I have a bad feeling that applies to my order even though it was not final sale when I purchased it. I wish I had a clue as to what is going on but it seems like customer service doesnt exist for this company.

I have tried several days to contact someone only to be hung up on multiple times. We received a TV stand that is totally damaged The doors don't fit on it can't put the middle shelf in I have pictures of it I just want to refund and we purchase this before they're out of business announcement.
