I ordered 3 bar stools on May 4th. The order has been "in process" for 3 weeks and I have been unsuccessful in reaching customer service through any of their contact methods. I've spent countless lengths of time waiting in a queue with their online live chat service only to each time be told there is no agent available. I am now out $300 dollars and have no sign that the barstools will ever be delivered.

In April I ordered from Pier 1 a OLD BENGALI PATCH POUT OTTOMAN and paid for this item thay same day. When I received my package during the second week of April iit was not what I ordered. Pier 1 refused to scknowledge my complaint eiither by Chat or Email. I have request a UPS MAILING LABEL so I can return this Ottoman back for the one ordered or a full refund. What I cannot understand is Pier 1 conduct in this matter as I have been a loyal customer of Pier I for years. Whatever you can do for me, will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, a Senior Citizen who needs your help.

I had ordered items and they were shipped on 4/30, received by me on 5/4. When I opened the packages, I realized they were not what I expected and attempted a return on 5/5, 5/6 and 5/7. The phone number is not in service, I was on hold for 40 minutes each day, telling me I was in queue and when I got to front of the line it disconnected me. I kept them in my basement, figuring Id return once the store reopened. Now the news is reporting that all Pier One stores are closing. There is no email, text or telephone number available for me to get into contact with them.
They are fully available to take orders, it is disgraceful that they won't honor a return.

Placed an order online and received a damaged item. Item was received smashed in several pieces. Was not wrapped properly when packed. 2 items were wrapped together and since they were breakable, they obviously should have been wrapped up separately for shipping. Tried many times to call the phones numbers proved on packing slip and website (3 different phone numbers) and it disconnected me every time, no matter what option I chose for customer service. Tried online chat, waited for over 20 minutes in queue and finally reached “3rd in queue” to only be disconnected because an agent was not available! Also tried text message which of course was not working. Sent several texts describing problem but just got messages back stating texting option was not working. Item was received April 27 or 28.

On 3/5/20 I purchased a dining table from Chesapeake VA Pier 1 store (***) with aPier 1 credit card. Table scheduled to be delivered to store around 5/20 but store closed due to virus. Credit card charge was paid in full. Now I understand order was canceled by store but credit was not applied to my credit card acct. It is impossible to get in touch with Customer service on lone at store or by phone. Order

I received my order short. It is missing the largest item og my order. I have been attempting to contact Pier 1 Imports for a week with severely long wait times that lead to disconnection via chat as well as disconnection when calling the customer service line. This is not what I expect from a company that claims to continue to service customers during the COVID-19 crisis. I am not out of a significant amount of time and the money I paid for the item that I did not receive. a

I made two purchases and one of the items was damaged. I have attempted to call the various phone numbers listed on the website and order information. I have been disconnected, placed on hold for hours and finally emailed but have yet to receive reply. With stores closed and other contact venues unavailable- I am not able to discuss damaged item to return or exchange. I know due to covid-19 it has been challenging for businesses and especially given pier one decision to close their stores they may not have staffing to handle all customer services issues in timely fashion. But it has been 1 week that I am not able to even contact one person to notify about damage and resolve the issue. It’s extremely frustrating.

I placed an online order totaling $579.80 online for 2 outdoor chairs and white glove delivery service on 5/17/2020; the order says it is still processing. They just dropped the price on the 2 chairs online, I have been calling and waiting in line for the live chat service just to be disconnected, told that no one is available to help me, or the call doesn’t go through to any phone number at all. I did not know prior to my purchase that they were experiencing financial issues. I need to speak to someone to know if my items will even be shipped and if I can get a refund on the difference otherwise I want to cancel my order completely. If I had known their online or phone customer service was so bad I would have never ordered from them. I need to speak to someone immediately to find out about my order and possible cancel it.

I purchased some glasses online that arrived poorly packaged and so two of the five champagne glasses were broken. I have tried multiple times to call Pier 1 (get a message saying that I am unable to reach the called party because they are busy.) I have tried Live chat multiple times, each time I am supposedly in a queue of over 300 other customers but when it is my turn, every time it says there is no agent available to talk to me. There is no longer an email address available on their website so I cannot reach them that way, either. It seems like they are no longer obliged to make their purchased orders right since they have claimed going out of business?? I paid for these glasses and want this fixed!!

I am rejecting this response because:Thank you for your email! I had not seen that I had received a response from Pier 1 until you sent this email that I received this morning. I have now seen their response and they have NOT tried to contact me and NOTHING has been resolved. Can you please reopen my complaint and ask that they clarify how they resolved it when we have not even communicated with each other?? On a previous Pier 1 complaint, I saw that they responded and proposed a solution right there in the complaint and were transparent. They are not being so now. Please please reopen this as I am sorry that I somehow did not see the notification that they had responded on your site.

I made a purchaes online for two pieces of wall art. After a long delivery window, I received the pieces only to find both of them were missing mosiac ornamentation and are useless. I have tried many times to call their customer helpline only to be disconnected after pushing the correct prompts. I have waited 20 minutes three times on chat in a virtual line of 300+ people only to mysteriously be disconnected when it was my turn. I have even reached out to them via Twitter and nothing. There is even a text number that texted to get a response that they are unable to take texts. I am completely shocked you cannot get ahold of anyone at the company.

I ordered a chair from Pier 1 Imports and they sent it with two right sides of the chair. It cannot be put together. I have tried calling their customer service for a week, but everytime I am next to speak with a representative I get kicked off. There is no way to contact anyone there and no way to message them or return the item to a store because they are all closed.

I purchased rugs on 4/24/20 and am unable to return. I researched how to return items to Pier 1 Imports being that all stores are closed due to COVID-19. The rugs were shipped without a return label or information regarding returns. Their website list a phone number designed to set up returns (shipping labels). I have tried this number for weeks and I am not able to get through. As others have stated, after a certain period of wait time you get disconnected. I love Pier One and am sad that it is going out of business. A good portion of my home has been decorated and furnished with Pier One merchandise. Being a loyal customer - I deserve the respect of someone assisting me.

Our customer has been sent two return labels via email. Her refund will be processed after the rugs are received at our warehouse. This process is currently taking up to 30 days to complete. We are also sending her a direct email and left he a voicemail.

I ordered 3 items ($172.98 total, Order: ***) from Pier 1 at the beginning of May 2020. None of them ever arrived, I have never gotten tracking information, and there is no way to get in touch with the company. Their customer service lives and online chat function are not working, and their stores are not gonig to reopen (since COVID-19 closings). I understand that the COVID situation is complicated and horrible, and that they've filed for bankruptcy and are closing all of their stores, but this is unacceptable way to handle things. If you look at their Instagram profile, there are tons of customer complaints. There were will be thousands of people who have paid for items that never receive them.

I am rejecting this response because:

I responded to the company that their response is not sufficient. At this point, I no longer need or want the items. They've taken over a month to arrive, 1 says it was delivered and wasn't, adn 1 is missing. Beyond that, their stores are not open and they are not giving me any method by which to return the items. Because the stores are not re-opening after COVID restrictions lift and the company has filed for bankruptcy, they're basically avoiding returns, which is unfair and illegal. Their return policy at the time that I placed my order was that you couldl easily return via mail or to the store. There is also no way to contact the company - their phone lines are turned off, as is their chat and customer service email service. I want a full refund on my order - this is insane.

I am waiting for $1,400.00 in furniture. I received an ottoman and a bench UPS but no sign of the furniture. I cannot gets through. My order shows "processing" since May 3rd. Their hold time is 2-4 hours but it cut me off after 30 and 45 minutes when tried holding. I have NO way to connect with them and see if and when my order will come. I don't know what to do. I feel stupid after reading they are going out of business and worry I won't get the furniture and won't be able to get my $ back. Can't use chat function, all email links on main page take me to a "no jobs available" page that I don't care to see. Please help. Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:I received a call 5/26/20 saying it takes 4 weeks (not 2 as it says on line) to get orders. I ordered on 5/3/20. On 5/26/20 she said I should hear in a week to 10 days. It has been 2 weeks and a total of 5 weeks. Have not heard back. She said I could call her back. The number she gave says to try again as no one available. No way for me to track anything and see what is happening and cannot connect with anyone as none of their chats or numbers work. Although she was very nice, and not her fault, it is poor customer service to be so delayed and not be able to find anything out.

I placed an order on 5/3/2020. Appreciating the hold up due to COVID, I cannot get through to cancel the order, update my order ask questions. There is no on line chat available...when there is, you hold and then it kicks you out and cancels. I have been trying to get them via phone for 3 weeks, you cannot get through and when you finally do, their phone tree cancels and hangs up on you no matter what option you choose. This has happened a half dozen times and you're lucky if you didn't sit on hold for 3 hours, then to be kicked off. It's extremely frustrating nothing has been updated since the 5/3/2020 purchase, there is no one available no matter how many attempts you make through their various "customer service branches".

We received two chairs a few days ago. These chairs were ordered online. They are not the color that we ordered. We have been trying to call the customer service center and they will not answer the phone. We want to return these chairs and have already contacted the Pier One credit card company and contested the charge. We will not pay for the wrong product and we are real tired of the aggravation of waiting on the phone and then being disconnected.
