Pitney Bowes Inc. Reviews (596)

Good afternoon,

I am writing to inquire about a complaint I filed on June 11th agains Pitney Bowes (ID # [redacted]).

I understand that in general, the Revdex.com waits to hear from the company before...

contacting the one initiating the complaint.  Because we are a new Department of Education high school  who heavily depends on postage for school mailings, we need this matter resolved as soon as possible.  This year our school only consists of 9th grade students but come September, we have a new group of students coming in which will require additional mailings.  Currently, our postage balance is low and because or issue with Pitney Bowes is due to our payments for postage NOT being applied to our account, we do not want to submit any more money to them.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time!

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I want to point out that I was shipping a package, not an envelope.
Also, PB needs to view the current information on the [redacted] site and not
rely on PB's own (and incorrect) web links. Those links go to cached [redacted]
sites that are not longer active.
Of course, I had hoped that PB would refund the postage, but through the absence
of any statement, I assume that PB declines to do so. I am certainly not going to spend
$100 to pursue $5.05 for a Pyrrhic victory.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:This has all been explained to me, however, there is no date on this document regarding when the existing lease expired, which is very deceptive. Furthermore, I have a copy of the original lease and there are no dates on this document (except a fax time stamp at the top dated Feb 01, 2008). We do not agree with this assessment and would like to return the equipment and receive no further charges. As I explained to the numerous other people I spoke to from Pitney Bowes (whose hands were tied), we have been forced to file a claim with the Revdex.com.
Sincerely,

[redacted]   [redacted]   On 10/10/2016, we had spoken with the client and had informed her we would send a complimentary ink cartridge.  I have reopened case 08095640 and escalated to have the complimentary ink cartridge resent.  We have initially sent it tracking number is [redacted], but upon researching I had learned it was not delivered because the UPS states they cannot deliver to a PO BOX.  I have re-opened case number 08095640 and am having the complimentary ink cartridge resent ASAP to the physical location.    Due to the inconvenience for the meter not working, I am crediting back the following:   Invoice number 3301128480-$84.24 Late fee-------------------------- $9.99 Late fee-------------------------- $34.56 Finance fee---------------------- $1.91   Total amount Pitney Bowes is crediting is $130.70   My sincere apologies for the inconvenience.  Pitney Bowes strives to provide the best possible customer service.        Respectfully yours,   [redacted] Customer Advocate  Office of the President

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
The original offer from PB stated that there will be no cost for signing up with them as they will give $20 in free postage to pay for the $19.99 monthly fee. Accordingly, any remaining postage in the meter becomes the property of customer and should be refunded at the conclusion of the contract or the whole contract is void and no rental fee is due if they want to take back the postage that they have already given.Sincerely,[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I did contact Pitney Bowes by responding to the email after they sent a "settlement" on 5/22/15 to me of $[redacted] due 6/22/15.  I can send a copy of this letter. I had no response besides bills with late charges. I then contacted [redacted] then the [redacted] which both advised me not to pay any further bills as Pitney Bowe's "lease" never had any dates from them to let me know that the "lease" was not actually up for another year when their "sales" person [redacted] duped me into signing this "lease".  When I called in 2012, I did dispute the "lease" I signed to [redacted] at Pitney Bowes but was told there was nothing further I could do.   Why would they help me when they already had me "trapped".   I do not agree that I owe another dime to this company.  I signed the 36 month "lease" 8/1/12 and 36 months later, I have fulfilled my obligation.  I have been advised by [redacted] and the [redacted] that printed "leases" without printed dates are illegal by any company.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

RE: Revdex.com [redacted]

Dear [redacted]

I am in receipt of the Revdex.com filed by [redacted] [redacted]

I called to speak with [redacted] [redacted] however I spoke with [redacted] and I was told that [redacted] was unavailable and that he ([redacted]) was the one that filed the complaint. He stated he was very happy with the product and loved it, however it was very difficult to get in touch with someone when the meter went down, or needed service. He stated they just received a new meter and hesitated to use it, however had to for business needs, as he wanted to know what it would cost to terminate his lease. They were given a settlement quote of $1000.00. I offered him a reduced settlement offer of $392.00.

I then explained that I understood his frustration with a meter not working, and even a 10 minute phone call to service could be a huge inconvenience in daily business operations. I offered my direct contact information, and assured the client that if he contacted me directly, I would assist in getting him the help he needed for any of his Pitney Bowes needs. Additionally, I offered $100.00 in free postage for the inconvenience.  [redacted] was very happy with my offers and was heading into a meeting with his colleagues to discuss the Pitney Bowes account.

I am confident the client will continue the relationship with Pitney Bowes.

We value their business and look forward to addressing their needs in a timely manner.

Kind regards,

No this is not true about them sending us a letter stating that the lease was not up. I had someone call me from Pitney Bowes to renew our lease because it was up . And I stated to him that I wanted to speak with my doctors about this. Instead we chose to use another company because of Pitney Bowes poor billing system. So I tried to call, email etc to have someone tell me what to do with the machine. No response. It is still here. I can not get anyone to reply. This is not good service.

Dear Ms. [redacted],

As previously stated, Pitney Bowes accept responsibility for the miscommunication from our Sales rep [redacted] stating that Mr. [redacted] lease was about to expire.  I personally reached out to Mr. [redacted] to apologize and let him know that we will resolve this to his satisfaction. Pitney Bowes is waiving the remaining terms of lease [redacted] for client satisfaction.

The processing time can take up to two billing cycles. Once the leased charges have been waived, Mr. [redacted] will be sent a box and pre-paid label to ship back the meter.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention again, the matter has been addressed internally with the rep and manager.

We value our relationship with Mr. [redacted] and would very much like to do business with him again in the future and he is welcome to call me at any time on my cell number below.

Per review of this lease account, the contract balance is $ 1,967.79 which is the open balance, plus remaining 10 contractual payments and a termination return fee for equipment shipping.   On 6/12/13, Pitney Bowes received the attached letter that [redacted] agreed to continue lease through June 2017 after previous settlements were declined.
Based on the excellent history of their lease account, we can offer non-negotiable courtesy reduction.  The lowest pay-off for this lease is $ 925.86.   This quote is valid till 11-3-2014.
If  [redacted]  wishes to accept this settlement, payment should be mailed to the following address:

Please review and advise of any questions.  I can assist over the phone with payment to settle by check or credit card.  Once funds have been received, we will issue the account termination and initiate the return authorization for the equipment from the location.
