I have reviewed the...

response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. It may not be the best resolution that I was hoping for especially since without the Revdex.com getting involved they would have never gotten back to me. As well as it taking over a month and a few days to get back to me and over 3 weeks to respond back to the Revdex.com. They definitely do not live by " Pitney

needs in a timely manner."  They provided terrible customer service and was definitely not in a timely manner. But nevertheless they did say they are refunding me my money and I am satisfied with that outcome. Wish things would have worked out better. Thank you Revdex.com.

RE: Revdex.com [redacted]
Dear [redacted],
I am in receipt of the Revdex.com complaint #[redacted]. The client [redacted] wanted to cancel the lease without penalty claiming unauthorized signature because he was out of the office at the time
The Departure team spoke with [redacted] on 10/15/14 and advised him of the settlement; they negotiated it down from $1514 to $650. Although this is a valid lease he was upset and told them he was not going to pay
I left a message for [redacted] advising lease is valid and the reduced settlement will be good until 11/15/14, I also stated his IP address is on the E signed document and he would not have had to be in the office to get his email.  Last refill was 10/6/14 and meter has been being used .I left the leasing number to call back and discuss
Respectfully yours,

Terrible experience with Pitney Bowes. We have been trying for months to simply return our device. After enduring hours of hold time, we get the runaround by agents who gives us either wrong information, passes us on to another department that doesnt help or simply disconnects the call after placing us on hold to research our case. I spent 2:45 hours on hold today trying to get this resolved, finally told all is good and an email confirmation will be sent to me within minutes. Still nothing received again left in limbo. Its almost as if they're purposely trying to make the return of this device nonreturnable. Im truly amazed how a company can operate like this, especially a publicly traded stock such as Pitney Bowes.

Dear Ms. [redacted],
Pitney Bowes is in receipt of the Revdex.com complaint #[redacted]....
After much review on the account, we are offering a final settlement of $1,337.13. This amount has been reduced from prior settlement offer of $1,560.00.
Please see the attached copy of lease schedules 001 & 002 along with T’s and C’s. Current lease scheduled 002 commenced 10/20/2013 for term of 54 months. [redacted] made payments and used the equipment.
Actions PB took to resolve:
·         Initially client requested to cancel July 2014, PB offered a restructure and went over early termination settlement process
o   Client never mention unauthorized signer however; client thought  terms were for 12 months (terms were clear on the attached lease)
·         Client called several times in 2015 was offered a settlement
·         August 27, 2015 [redacted] said unauthorized signer
·         Client needs to report fraudulent activity via police report (if claiming fraud)
[redacted] must return the equipment as per the terms and conditions of the lease. [redacted] Lease [redacted] schedule 002 is binding and cannot be cancelled without paying a settlement to satisfy the terms of their lease.

Please contact me directly and I will be happy to discuss the settlement offer along with the equipment return process.
Kind Regards,

RE:  Revdex.com [redacted]

Dear [redacted]

I am in receipt of Complaint [redacted] filed by [redacted] for [redacted]
 The...

complaint is related to a fee being charged for use of a line of credit the client is utilizing to fund their postage meter refills.

In August 2014, The Pitney Bowes Bank Inc amended the terms and conditions for the line of credit accounts offered to clients (aka: Purchase Power), to include a meter overage fee.

Each meter relationship has a built in maximum meter refill threshold per billing cycle, which the client is not charged for. The established maximum specific to this meter relationship is $500.00, but does vary by meter type.

If meter refill(s) in a given billing cycle exceed the established threshold, a meter overage fee the greater of $1.00 or 1% of the amount by which the meter refill(s) exceeded $500.00 applies to the transaction(s).

This is not a transaction charge, and is not usury.

I’ve included two separate attachments. The first is a copy of the updated terms and conditions specific to the account identified in this complaint.  The second outlines alternate postage funding options available to clients.

Respectfully yours,

[redacted] Dear Ms. [redacted]
I am in receipt of Revdex.com [redacted]...

Client states they cancelled their account online with case number [redacted] Now they are receiving a bill for the lease and for postage. Client canceled the lease July 13, 2016. Customer wants to terminate her account and receive return kit   Upon the review of the account, client did start case 06638117 online on 7/13/2016. On 8/25/2016 Pitney Bowes emailed her and explaining that her lease was still active until 10/19/2016. On 8/31/2016 Pitney Bowes sent the customer a settlement letter explaining that if she wanted to cancel early she would have to pay an early settlement fee. I do see that $150.00 was paid on 9/13/2016. I am having the account terminated right away and having all billing backdated to 10/20/2016 when the lease ended. We will be sending out a return kit to return your postage meter. The client should receive this in about 15 days business days. I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.   Pitney Bowes strives to give the best customer service.    Respectfully yours, [redacted]   [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:The response from Pitney Bowes whitewashes the entire incident, and fails to address the problems and harassment that I and my staff encountered as we tried to resolve the issue.  To begin with, I have been a faithful customer, paying the quarterly fees on schedule for over 15 years, in spite of numerous equipment problems along the way.  I am not one to make trouble, and avoid confrontations like this one if possible. This confrontation with Pitney Bowes was a completely unacceptable series of encounters for which they have refused to take any responsibility for.  I and my staff (mostly myself) spent several hours and numerous exasperating phone calls trying to resolve the problem.  To begin with, PB misalocated a payment that I sent them in December 2014, accusing me of non-payment, and freezing out our attempts to get a replacement tape to use the meter.  It took almost a week for us to discover that this was the case, when the requested tape did not arrive.  Next, it took several phone calls with very rude and disrespectful reps, and an email from by bank to PB before they would even acknowledge that the payment had indeed been sent and received by them.  Then we were told that it would not be until the following week that the payment would be properly applied and the tape sent out. This would have resulted in 2 weeks without the use of the postage meter, after all of the rudeness and harassment that they could dish out.  I had to purchase stamps from the post office to get our mail (a huge pile by then) posted and sent.  Contrary to what the incompetent rep had told us, the tape arrived the next day, after I had already decided to end my relationship with PB.  We sent the tape back.PB breached their agreement with me at numerous levels.  1. They were incompetent in applying my payment in the wrong account.  2. Their service reps were completely incompetent and extremely rude, providing inaccurate information and thwarted our efforts to resolve our problem.  3.  My business was deprived of the use of the postage meter for over a week and we were told it would be another week before we could use it, all  due to the incredible incompetence of the reps on the phone.  The resolution that they now propose, paying them over $1000., is absurd and  exceeds what I would pay if I continued to pay the contract.  They need to cut me loose without any payment, and I will accept nothing short of that. This company is reprehensible, and continue to respond as though their behavior is 'business as usual', and is somehow OK.  Well, it is not, and they can not possibly expect me to continue to do business with them under these circumstances.  They should not further profit by being paid a buy-out by me.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

RE: Revdex.com [redacted]

Dear [redacted],

I am in receipt of the Revdex.com filed by [redacted], [redacted]. Pitney Bowes policy allows sales reps...

to reach out to our clients up to one year prior to the end of the lease. During this time, they assess the client’s needs, seeing if there is interest in upgrading the equipment or renewing.

I have researched [redacted]’s account and have found that she agreed to the start date of 06/10/13. [redacted] called 09/07/2012 regarding her new lease not starting immediately and having to make the higher payment. It was explained to her that the new lease wouldn’t be effective until 06/10/13. The agreement was reached to credit the amount due on her current lease for the difference in the remaining payments and check #[redacted] was sent for $[redacted] to cover the current quarter instead of the normal payment of $[redacted]. The client continued to use the equipment & there is no record of [redacted] or anyone from the business further disputing the start date of the lease until 05/13/15, when their usage decreased. At that time they called in be let out of the lease. They were advised that they had time left on their lease and a settlement was offered. There has been no further contact directly from the client.

The settlement offered in May has expired. I have attached the current settlement.

If you do not wish to exercise this option, kindly continue to pay your account as invoiced.

Pitney Bowes strives to provide the best customer experience to address your business needs in a timely manner.
