3/7/16Dear [redacted] ***,This letter is in response to a complaint regarding a home remodeling project installed at [redacted] Willimantic, CT ***Power HRG is currently scheduled to meet the homeowner at the property on 3/11/16, Power HRG's Regional Vice President and a Field Service Manager will inspect the roof that was installed on 7/18/11,Previous service inspections have identified the root cause of the leak as an ice damIce dams are considered "acts of God" and are not covered under Power HRG's labor warranty or ***'s manufacturer's warrantyThe homeowner acknowledges the ice dams may be due to a lack of insulation and insufficient ventilationPower HRG representatives will inspect the roof to ensure the ice dam has not caused any damage to any of the roofing componentsThey will also lend their expertise in trouble shooting a permanent solution to eliminate ice dams in the future.Please contact me via the information noted below if you have any questions or require additional details.Respectfully,Eamon L.Director of Warranty Service

Two weeks ago I had a knock on the door, and the door to door representative from power home remodeling was persistent in getting us to schedule to receive a quote on replacing our roofHe told me that the estimate would take an hourI should have ran away then when he shook my hand and left saying, " Thank you, you just earned me $25!" Professionalism at its finest! The sales representative came out the next week and was fantastic about his knowledge of the company and its productsWe were delighted to hear what he had to say, until it came time for the quote Knowing it was way out of our budget, we kindly told him it wasn't going to work with our financesHe would not take no for an answer and as the night drew on was actually getting more pushy and arrogantWe even said you can do the roof, but we won't be able to pay to, to which he responded, "once we get the money from the bank, you don't have to pay them back!" Clearly only interested at making the sale, and not the wellbeing of the consumerThe hour estimate was hours long from 630-930, and with small children waiting to be put to bed we finally got him out of the houseToday, I received a phone call on my cell phone from the company and I asked to be taken off the list Not even two hours later I received a call on my house line from them and kindly asked to be taken off the listAt 4:I got a knock on the door from another representative, and with my patience being tested, I told her that we already received a quote and we weren't interested At 5:another representative came to the door and I lost itWe are not interested in buying a roof, or any other product, for that matter, from power home remodelingThey need to learn how to communicate amongst there employees and learn how to take no for an answer! To be harassed by different people in one day is ridiculous!

We will never work with this company simply because of their extreme, predatory sales tacticsUnfortunately the hour sales presentation on a Tuesday night (after making it clear that we had other things to tend to, only to be told, "one quick thing..." by the sales rep) concluded with a bottom line of the highest cost for windows of different window installation companiesAlthough the sales person was friendly and his presentation of product quality thorough (after hours how could it not be) we were left deflated by the price point and even more angered by the repeated daily phone calls a week laterThe phone calls bordering on harassment as well as a sales person that disregards a potential customers time and firm declination of services has left a poor taste in our mouths

I had a estimate from power home remodeling group for a new roof for my houseThey showed up at 8pm and finished at 9:30pm which was fineAt the end when they gave a price for a new roof it was $per month for monthsI told the man that I would like to think about itHe told me that I could not,the price was only good for right thenIf I waited till the next day I would not get that price and the new price would be $per monthI asked him why not the same price and he said it would cost the company to much money if he had to come back to my house at a later dateSo they were going to charge a new potential customer an additional $53,because they did not want to send there salesman back out to my house so I could have an extra day to think about itI think that is an abusive use of high pressure salesIf this is how they treat a new customer I wound not trust them to do anything on my my house only a fool wouldBy the way I was told at the beginning of the estimate that it was good for a yearI guess they lied to me by omission when they did not tell me about the $53, surcharge for waiting hoursWhen they start out lying they should not be trusted

The company promised high quality windows that were measured to 1/of a inchI had very small windows installedThey also ,without my knowledge , opened a credit card in my name so I could not stop paymentThat even after I cancelled the card, wells fargo should be investigated for fraud tooI have pictures of windows that are and 1/inch smaller that old frameAll I wanted was the correct sized windowThey said they did that cause house may settle, really, house is years old and that would be way to much

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: it does not address the issue Dear Mr L [redacted] I appreciate your quick reply to my complaint, although I feel you are missing the point completelyThe issue is not about the roof or the warrantyIt is about the poorly re-installed guttersSince your company also installs gutters, one would assume they should be capable of not ruining themThe gutters were replaced poorly which rendered them inefficient, causing my mother to replace them at her expenseYes, she signed your document, but she expected the gutters to be in the same condition they were prior to the roof installationShe trusted your expertise that the gutters would still be serviceable when you finishedIt has nothing to do with a warranty, it has everything to do with the contractor who put the roof on ruining the gutters As far as your professional suggestion, “would be to remove the gutter protection altogether” I find that counter productive and hypocriticalAs your website states, “Your roof and gutters were originally designed to be your home’s water management system, with the sole purpose of moving water away from the houseUncontrolled water flow can rot wood, damage foundations, cause mildew, and lead to expensive repairs to windows, siding and fasciaOur micro-perforation leaf shedding system will keep the bottom of your gutters clear of debris allowing water to flow freely through the gutter trough and downspout and safely away from your home” I hold your company responsible for this situation and I do not find your response acceptable for a reputable company / [redacted] Style Definitions */ Regards, [redacted]
