Power Home Remodeling Group Reviews (609)

Dear Mr***
Thank you for taking
the time to write about your experience. We value input and feedback from homeowners like you. I apologize if our interactions caused you and your family any undue stress or aggravation. I have reviewed your complaint and personally looked into the matterIn instances where people give us their contact information, we touch base with them periodically to see if they would be interested in our products and services. After a period of time, your information is entered into our automated dialer. We did not realize we were calling you as often as you claim. This is the first time I am learning about your dissatisfaction and will take the steps necessary to rectify the situation. We will systematically address this issue as follows; flag your records in our database to prevent future calls from anyone in the company, remove the number from the predictive dialer, and post the number to our own internal DNC list, which prevents it from loading into the dialer system again. Additionally, your home address has been added to our Do Not Knock list. We will make a concentrated effort to avoid marketing in and around your neighborhood.
Furthermore, you willfully provided us with your information, so at no time have you been contacted without authorization. We apologize for the inconvenience and give assurance that we will do our best to make sure you will not hear from us again. Hopefully this will help to absolve our company of any wrongdoing. If there is anything else I can do to assist, please contact me directly via the information noted belowRespectfully,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
However, while I did authorize Power to contact me, I informed them that I received services elsewhere. They continued to contact me and hang up

A representative of Power Home Remodeling Group LLC visited my home to offer home repair services, (roof replacement, window replacement, attic insulation, and rain guttering) They sent two sales representatives to explain their products and services The information was informative and focused on highlighting the companies key selling points They showed "comparisons" and offered a one year guaranteed price and a lower "good today only" price I declined So they made a big deal of going outside and punching numbers on computers and phones then come back with a better price based on added services for replacement windows and additional discounts Eventually I agreed to a price and contract that had standard three day cancellation languageThey asked for a personal commitment that I planned to proceed with the project, which I gave contingent on verification of all claims and information presented explaining that I had no intention of forfeting my legal right to cancel the contract within three business days The whole process took approximately hoursThe next day I checked the roofing manufacturer's website to research the materials offered and to verify Power is a master certified contractor (MCC) in my area Power was not listed as a MCC on the roofing manufacturer's website for my area This concerned me deeply and since several other MCC contractors are listed on the manufacturer's website for my area, I decided to cancel the contract and investigate other optionsI sent executed cancellation paperwork to Power by certified mail At this point I did not have any complaintsA day or two later, my wife received a call from Power saying they needed us to sign additional paperwork to cancel the deal My wife explained that we did not want another sales pitch and we did not think any additional paperwork was required by the contract, but, Power insisted they only needed a signature and a few minutes of our time They sent a representative to our home while I was at work My wife met with the representative as agreed, but, he insisted that he needed to reschedule for a time when we both are homeA Power "Quality Manager" arrived today I explained that I was not interested in another sales presentation and that I had made my decision not to proceed at this time He said that he just wanted to collect our feedback on a short survey and part as "friends" so that we might consider Power in the future I agreed to answer a few short questions and I provided my honest feedback This took much longer then expected because of several efforts by the representative to provide "additional information" that seemed to be me to be an attempt to sell products and services despite my objections Eventually he made another lower price offer I declined, but, the representative just would not take no for an answer He said that my reasoning for not wanting to proceed was not logical I found this insulting and I asked him several times to leave By now it has been over an hour and I had firmly decided that Power is not a company that I want to do business with I explained this as clearly as I know how and eventually I told him that I planned to file a report on my experience Eventually he left taking all of the voided contact paperwork with himThis is a truthful account of my personal experience with representatives of Power Home Remodeling Group I do not have any information on the actual quality of Power's products or services

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: Power Home's persistent arrogance that they are not responsible for the mess that they created continues to amaze me. These issues, along with so many others, have been stated from the beginning, and yet Power Home has consistently denied all problems thereby prolonging this case unnecessarily. As I continue to amass video evidence that the leaking issues are more than a problem with the gutter guards, and Power Home has refused to fix the problems, I wil let the courts decide.

I am rejecting this response because:
This company can say what they want to try and make themselves look better but if you read the many reviews online I am clearly not the only person who has had problems with themNone of the materials they use are any different from another reputable contractor and if you are so sure of yourself, why don't you provide an estimate for the client to keep instead of only allowing them to view it on your iPad? The salesperson who came in would not leave - he kept badgering us about why we couldn't make a decision right thenYour sales tactics are appalling and you focus on people who fall victim to your pushy tactics - you basically try to make people feel like their family isn't safe unless they choose youAll the materials you say you use that are special were used by the contractor we went with who we've known for yearsAnd the table, an accident??? It took months to get that check because we could never speak to a manager - we had some low-level salesperson we had to go through who told us we'd get $and then all of a sudden it was no, $800, because he misspokeNot to mention that the amount doesn't cover fixing the table because it is not fixableKeep saying what you want, I will do whatever I can to ensure no one ever uses you

Dear *** ***,
I apologize if you were
insulted or offended by our previous message.
I understand how and why you would be frustrated with Power HRG, however
the manufacturer’s warranty is no longer valid and the one-year labor warranty is
expired. We are not claiming the
siding is the sole cause of the leak. Third
party contractors have done work on and around the window. This alone would void the warranty. We have continued to provide our services to
you at no cost as a courtesy. The glass
packs that were previously replaced were changed due to seal failure, not due
to installation issues
Again, I would like to offer
you our services at a severe discount. Please
contact us directly to make arrangements
Respectfully,
Eamon

February 12, 2018Dear *** ***:This letter shall serve as a response to the complaint filed with the Revdex.com.Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedbackI have reviewed the complaint and personally looked into the matter. As recently explained by your
Remodeling Consultant on 1/10/18, the sale price of the gutters was discounted by $900.00, making the final sale price of the gutters $4,The singed Custom Remodeling and Improvement Agreement, dated 9/20/17, notes the price of the gutters is $4,644.13.Please contact me directly if you wold like to discuss furtherI have attached copies of the above referenced document.Sincerely,Eamon L.Director of Warranty Service

Dear *** ***,
Thank you for taking the
time to write about your recent remodeling project. I’m sorry to hear that you were not
completely satisfied with your experience.
I have reviewed you complaint and personally looked into the matter
The *** thermostat is
included in the *** *** attic insulation portion of your project as a
free gift from the manufacturer. You were
not charged for this item and Power HRG does not offer a warranty on it. However, the manufacturer of the *** does
offer customer support. Unfortunately
you contacted and paid a third party contractor to service the thermostat
before contacting Power and allowing us to put you in touch with the *** customer support. Please keep in mind, once you contacted the
*** they sent you a free replacement unit and installed it at no cost to you.
The siding project was sold
separately from the roofing and insulation project. On 8/7/14, at the point of sale, the
Remodeling Consultant presented the incorrect pricing. The Contractor’s Right to Cancel is outlined
in the Custom Remodeling and Improvement Agreement. It states; In the event that the Contractor
determines that this Agreement cannot be performed as intended by the parties
due, for example, to incorrect pricing, unforeseen structural defect, or
pre-existing conditions to Buyer’s property, Contractor may cancel this
Agreement within forty-five (45) days of its execution, notify Buyer(s) of such
cancellation in writing and return all monies paid by Buyer(s)
The Agreement Amendment was
mailed and emailed to you on 8/19/14.
These documents state the financing was reverting back to 7.9%
for the roofing project. The lender only
offers the 5.9% rate on combined projects.
I apologize for any
confusion or miscommunication. All goods and services were provided as promised in the original
Agreement dated 6/28/13. If you would
like to discuss this issue in further detail or would like to request any of
these documents for your reference, please contact me via the information noted
below.
Respectfully,
Eamon

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meThey have agreed to remove me from any mailing or calling lists they have or have sold my name and address toSo while I agree to the settlement of the issue, I disagree with several statements in their letter which do not match the facts of our experience. The letter itself says that they will forward our information to other insurances companies, and the fact that they requested my personal information over the phone in order to "opt out", is not really an acceptable "opt out" policy.

Dear *** ***,I would like to apologize for the inconvenience we caused you. I understand how difficult it is to organize your busy schedule to be available for an estimate on a home improvement. Among the things that we require to provide an estimate are that all the homeowners,
decision makers, and involved parties are present to get the information. It is not to force a sale, like the case may seem. We do that to put ourselves in the best position to earn your future business by ensuring that we’ve done everything in our power to educate you on the industry, the products, our company, and the investment that is involved. Without speaking to everyone, we have no opportunity to do that and only invite the chance of miscommunication or the need to visit each home multiple times. We’ve been in business for over years, and have found that our customers, and potential customers, are happiest in the end when they’ve received all the information they need before getting involved with a home improvement. Because of that, it has become one of our most important policies. This is the first time that we are learning about your dissatisfaction and will take the necessary steps to rectify the situation. We will flag your records in our database to prevent future calls from anyone in the company, remove the your phone number from the predictive dialer, and post the number to our own internal DNC list which prevents it from ever loading into the dialer system again. Please feel free to contact me with any further concerns.Respectfully,Eamon L***Warranty Service DirectorPower Home Remodeling O: *** x***PowerHRG.com

A young man knocked on door and stated his company was doing work in the neighborhoodWondered if we were interested in free estimates on roofing and sidingI explained we were not ready to commit to any work on the exterior, because we were still completing some indoor projectsBut he was not rude, so I agreed to an outside only, free estimate for roof and windowsHe called his office and handed me his phone and I was asked the very same questions from a sales repThe questions seemed endless and repetitiveI became more annoyed with each repeated series of questionsI finally gave the phone back to Kellin and he said you just need to confirm the appointment for this time tomorrowI agreed, accepted the phone again and received more repeated questions before the confirmation for the estimateAnd finally, the reason for this reviewKellin then asked me to sign something, confirming the appointment, he saidAt that point I asked my wife for my glasses to review what he wanted me to sign, but he quickly retracted the folded document, saying, “that’s ok, never mind”The more I thought about this encounter, the more I distrusted it Ended up cancelling the free estimate
