I am rejecting this response because:
First, the photos on the site  that are provided by the business show only rooms with two and three beds. The policies of [redacted]s state that children ALWAYS stay free. Having TWO queen beds is NOT a "bed type", and the room that was chosen actually stated that it was a room with TWO Queen Beds. During the booking process it goes to a screen to "Choose room", the selection we made was a room with TWO (2) queen beds. That selection does NOT state that it is based upon availability, anywhere. Once you select the room it goes through the process to book it, and then CONFIRMS the room booked and showed it a a room with TWO (2) queen beds. This complaint  has NOTHING to do with "bed type" as they keep stating, it has to do with the room type as booked. They attempt to use semantics to avoid the issue here. The issue here is that he site uses misleading photos, misleading room selection types, and then once at the hotel they utilize bait and switch in direct contradiction to their own policies and in direct contradiction to the room type selected and paid for by the customer. Then they offer no way to cancel the booking. For any hotel to be this way AND offer no option to cancel the booking shows that they have no regard for the consumer and for Priceline to offer zero assistance means that they have no issue with a business utilizing their site for such scams.

I have
received the consumer’s additional comments.  As you requested, we have
again reviewed this matter to see if we overlooked anything that might support
a more favorable conclusion.  We understand that the consumer believed she was making a purchase
in Canadian currency. Attached
hereto is a copy of the consumer’s contract page indicating:  Prices are in USD. Rooms purchased through Priceline cannot be
cancelled, changed or transferred and refunds are not allowed. As a goodwill
gesture Priceline made a one-time exception and issued a refund for the
difference in currency if the consumer had booked the reservation in Canadian
currency. Based on the exchange rates on the purchase date, we have come up to
a currency difference in the amount of $34.78, which has been refunded to the consumer. As noted on the contract page, the consumer’s selected reservation is non-refundable.

I never expected to recuperate the taxes that were charged. I do find it in poor taste and diasppointing business practice that not only is Priceline unwilling to make an exception over $8, but they still will not acknowledge the unprofessional actions of their operator disconnecting my call. I have been in the service industry for 25 years, and many times even when the customer is wrong we have made exceptions in order to be good business partners. Money or not, I would at the very least apologize for the childish phone disconnection and try to make it right. It's offensive.

I am rejecting this response because:
I want it on record that Price Line's business practices are unethical. The site on which you book reservations is very misleading and all the ridiculous disclaimers do not appear until you've "locked in" your price. They simply say to contact the hotel for special accomodations and in this instance, the hotel was unwilling to work with Price Line customers. This is because the "bidding" that Price Line touts on their commercials isn't the case at all. But rather Price Line buys crappy rooms in bulk from the hotel, which the hotel is reluctant to change for customers like me because they want those rooms to remain sold. Who wants a room city side, smoking and with only one bed while vacationing with the girls at the beach?
I understand the stupid non- refundable blah blah blah policy they have in place. believe me their robotic customer service agents in [redacted] or wherever parrot the stupid clause a million times a day. I've looked on line and there are tons of consumer complaints out there. Perhaps if enough of us come to the Revdex.com with the antics of this horrible company, Price Line will take another look at what they are doing to their customers. The fact is that, unless all you want to do is book a hotel for 1 person while traveling down the road to your destination, Price Line is useless. If you have a traveling partner that you don't want to sleep in the same bed with - forget it. If you want a non- smoking room - forget it. If you need handicap accessible floor level rooms - forget it. If you want ocean view - forget it. If you want to participate in the continenetal breakfast that the hotel offers guset - forget it. DO NOT VACATION AT ALL THROUGH PRICE LINE. The hassle is simply not worth it. Hotels hate Price Line customers and Price Line just doesn't care because they get their money and that is clearly all they care about. Forget about hard working people like myself.
I have never been so completely ignored and dismissed by a company with total lack of customer service before in my life. There's a very easy and simple fix to this and this is they should refund me my money. My complaint and my "issue" is very legitimate and I am willing to bet not a single one of the people that I have corresponded with would go to the hotel just "hoping" that a room with two beds would become available. I could not in good conscience take my elderly friend to this situation - after talking to the hotel manager, I'm sure that, being "Price Line people" would have been a horrible negative from beginning to end.
So in rebuttal, no I am not accepting their response. I will take this to small claims court if I have to. And I promise to continue to bad mouth them on social media along with the countless others out there. Apparently they simply don't care, but I am sure it will be their downfall. Businesses cannot make such broad sweeping policies and not account for extenuating circumstances. This is not customer service - this is a slap in the face of the consumer.

I am completely disappointed in your company and will advice everyone I know to avoid booking with you. Also, if I see a charge on my CC for the hotel I will dispute that as well due to the fact tha that I am requesting the charges be cancelled. Also, per the hotel I stayed at they advice that you CAN cancel the reservation. Your company is a money hungry corporation that I will avoid and blast every chance I get.

I am rejecting this response because:
I am not a difficult person. I am rejecting their 50$ because I do not want their money, I would of expected their response to be of improving their service so others will not be with such disregard. No business can be perfect but they can strive to be better. I appreciate the nice response but I think they are missing the point. Priceline executives might want to get out of their office and go talk to the frontline representatives that initially handled my multiple calls before being transferred to the rude ones.They expressed empathy and professionalism every time. 
 I am still embarrassed to go and see my bank rep that was treated rudely during the last three way call. The Priceline lady told me she was going to stop recording before she connected to my bank. [redacted] is a small place and relationships are important because we are all we have.

In your correspondence you claim that you were informed
that you had one year from the date of the departure to book a new reservation.
However, when you contacted the airline, you were informed that the new
reservation was to have been booked within one year from the date the ticket
was issued/purchased.
 
We have reviewed our documented case history and
confirmed that upon cancellation of the tickets, you stated that there was no
need for the representative to review the details of the rebooking, and you
would read the rules on the email that would be sent to you at [redacted], with
details of the cancelation and rebooking, which includes all rebooking details,
including the must-book-by date of August 26, 2014. Therefore, we are unable to
process a refund or provide a voucher for future use for this reservation.
 
Additionally, on your behalf, we also  contacted the airline requesting a ticket
extension date. However, they were unable to allow an extension. However, the

courtesy exception to their policy, and perhaps obtain a voucher for your expired

on Friday, May 23, 2014 at00:43:24 AM ET, requesting to cancel his/her
reservation for a May 16th check-in date, and was informed of the
cancel policy listed on the consumer’s contract page indicating no refund due.
· Cancel Policy: Priceline will not
charge you a change or cancel fee, however this hotel has the following
cancellation policy: For the room type you've selected, you can cancel your
reservation for a full refund up until noon on Thursday, May 15th (local hotel
time). If you decide to
cancel your reservation anytime between noon on Thursday, May 15th and noon on
Friday, May 16th (local hotel time), the hotel requires payment for the first
night's stay. You will be charged for the first night's stay including taxes
